Chapter 1474

    ?Chapter 1474:

“You done yet?” Jessica asked tly, her patience thinner than a thread. “Move. I’m leaving.”

She knew this type well. Sure, some guys fell for flirty smiles, but the ones who mattered wanted control, not to be led around like puppies. How was N still this clueless?

    Finally, N stepped aside.

Back at the table, every eye shifted to them. Already guessing that N was about to pull something worse, Jessica cut it short. “Enjoy your evening. Melvin and I have ns.”

“What’s the rush?” N spoke first, voice sugar-sweet, as if nothing had happened. “I was just teasing. I wouldn’t really steal your boyfriend.”

“Yeah, stay. Let’s y something fun.”

“We don’t even know your boyfriend yet.”

    “Exactly, just stay.”

Their curiosity practically dripped onto the table.

Seeing that Melvin was already standing, N threw out onest lure. “Fine, but one condition. He answers three truths before you go.”

“Since when…” Jessica bristled, about to blow.

Melvin gave her hand a firm squeeze, steady and grounding, before speaking evenly. “Ask away.”

He had heard enough in that restroom. They wanted to embarrass Jessica? They would have to go through him first. And while they were at it, he would make sure of one thing: they would all know she was his, and no one else’s.

“Bold,” N said with a sharine smile. “First one’s easy: How many girlfriends before Jessica? One-night stands count.”

“And no lying,” Bianca chimed in, eyes sparkling with glee.

Melvin didn’t blink. “None. She’s the first.”

“Boring,” N scoffed, not buying it. No way a man like that didn’t have women falling over him left and right.

Start your next adventure at gα?ησv???s

“Truth only,” Rena added, enjoying the scene.

“Jessica’s the only woman I’ve ever dated,” Melvin said without hesitation. “And the only one I love.” His tone was steady, his expression unreadable. The words hung heavy in the air like stones dropped in water.

For a second, not a soul dared speak.

Jessica squeezed his hand gently, eyes shining like stars.

N’s teeth pressed together behind her forced smile. “Second question: What’s your title at thepany you work for? Be specific.”

Jessica’s brows drew together ever so slightly. She could tell the girls were trying to dig into Melvin’s past, and before he had the chance to respond, she cut in sharply, “That sounds more like an interview question! What’s next, are you going to ask for his resume too?”

“We never said such questions were off-limits,” N replied, shing a dazzling smile, her voiceced with teasing. “Unless your boyfriend’s got something to hide?”

“There’s nothing to hide,” Melvin answered slowly, his tone as cool and detached as ever. “I’m just the executive assistant to apany’s president.” Until now, he’d always introduced himself that way—unless he was formally representing Anita International Group. In his mind, the title of president belonged to one person only: Freya.
