Chapter 1331

    ?Chapter 1331:

Ellis saw right through him. “I’m like you.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?” Michael yed dumb.

“I know exactly what you’re up to. You want me to agree, and then you’ll stab me in the back mid-match,” Ellis said, his voice dripping with amusement.

Michael froze for a beat, then tried to y it off. “Come on, I was just checking if you still had thatpetitive fire in you.”

    Damn it. He’d beenpletely busted.

“Too bad,” Ellis added, ever the devilish tease, a smirk ying on his lips. “I was just about to say if you really wanted a draw, I might’ve considered it.”<fn7f75> For more chapters visit find?novel</fn7f75>

“Wait, seriously?” Michael lit up, clearly no match for this game of words.

Ellis nced at the screen in front of him, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly. “Not really.”

“Damn it!” Michael burst out. “I hope you never find a girlfriend!”

“No worries. You’ll keep mepany,” Ellis replied smoothly.

    “Get lost.”

Michael was seething. Couldn’t this guy just say one nice thing for once? “Aren’t you even a little worried you’ll never find a girlfriend?” he asked, genuinely curious now.

“Finding one or not… it’s not something I lose sleep over,” Ellis said, his gaze drifting to someone on the screen. His voice mellowed, quiet and sure. “If it’s meant to be, it’ll happen. If not, there’s no sense in forcing it.”

Michael heard that and fell into unexpected silence, quietly reflecting. Once upon a time, he’d had a girlfriend. But that was a story already finished.

“Have your team start moving at around two in the morning,” Ellis said suddenly, snapping the mood back to business.

“Are you even human?” Michael groaned, feeling deeply sorry for Freya and the rest. “You’re not even letting them sleep at night?”

    Ellis didn’t bother to exin.

Once, he thought training them properly would be enough. But then one day, these rookies hade to him, asking for the real deal, begging not to be coddled. Since they’d asked for it, as their captain, he wasn’t about to take it easy.

For the next week, Freya and her team were pushed to their absolute limits. From dawn until deep into the night, their focus never wavered. Yet through mutual support, they powered through.

By the end of it, their mental states had undergone aplete transformation from where they had started.

On the final day, they stumbled out of the forest, utterly drained.

When they saw Ellis waiting there, they copsed to the ground without hesitation, not caring about appearances or pride. At that moment, just being alive felt like a miracle.

Ellis handed each of them water and food. Only after they had eaten did he ask,

    “How do you feel?”
