Chapter 1325

    ?Chapter 1325:

But Ellis had yed them all along, executing a calcted, psychological ambush that had left them stunned.

“Do enemies send you a memo beforeunching a surprise attack?” Ellis said with a casual edge to his tone.

The other side fell into an uneasy silence.

After a pause, the cybersecurity leader replied, “We’ll try again next month. Let’s just say we lost this time.”

“What do you mean, ‘let’s say’? You did lose,” Ellis shot back, his wordsced with that familiar teasing sharpness.

“Alright, we lost,” the leader conceded, clearly reluctant. “We’ll be back in the game next month.”

He couldn’t believe it. If they’d just had one more shot, the oue would have been different.

“She’ll be busy with other matters. She’s not avable next month,” Ellis answered coolly on Freya’s behalf, then added, “Wait a couple of years until your skills catch up, then try again.”

The leader was left utterly speechless.

Ellis didn’t bother dragging the conversation on. He ended the call right after. The phones they used were bare-bones devices, good only for calls and the asional text.

“Get some rest. We head out for intensive survival training in five hours,” Ellis said, ncing at his watch with quiet concern.

Freya gave a nod and walked off.

The whole thing had caused a minor stir. The security team got chewed out big time, but none of that had anything to do with Freya and her crew. By dawn, they were off for their survival training.

At the outdoor assembly spot, Ellis passed out supplies to everyone.

Once the gear was handed out, he continued, “This trainingsts seven days. The rations I gave you willst four. Figure out the rest yourselves.”

“Can we go buy some?” Moss asked without thinking.

    Ellis shot him a look.

    Moss immediately backed off.

“Other than what I’ve issued, no one’s allowed to bring anything else,” Ellisid down the rule inly. “Understood?”

“Yes, sir!” the group echoed together.

“Rest here,” Ellis ordered. “We move out in twenty minutes.” With that, he left with the rest of the team.

Freya and her team members found a ce to sit and started mapping out their route.

“Normally, this wouldn’t evenst me two days,” Riley muttered, eyeing the small stash of food. “How are we supposed to stretch this over seven?”

Freya pressed her lips together, recalling the tips they’d been given. “Insects.”

A heavy silence fell over the group.
