Chapter 1322

    ?Chapter 1322:

“You sure?” Ellis asked, his voice too rxed to beforting.

    Cade nodded furiously. “Yes!”

“Then howe you still have the energy to eat?” Ellis’s tone was light, almostzy, but it cut straight through.

Cade felt like the sky had fallen. He chewed slower. Way slower.

    He was convinced now.

    Ellis was a real hardass.

Meanwhile, Freya and the others were still in the dark about what had gone down with Cade and Moss. Watching Cade push himself harder than ever during drills, they whispered among themselves during their break.

“What got into him?” Greta asked, puzzled by Cade’s sudden burst of motivation.

“Probably those insects from lunch,” Riley offered, half-joking, half-serious.

Trent had never seen anyone put in that kind of effort before. He nced over and said casually, “Why not just ask him when he takes a breather?”

“Where’s Moss?” Greta’s eyes swept the area, a flicker of confusion crossing her face.

Everyone else was doing the same—scanning the training ground—but there wasn’t a trace of Moss.

It wasn’t until more than half an hour had passed that Moss finally appeared, dragging his feet like he’d marched through a warzone.

“What on earth happened to you?” Greta asked as she walked toward him, having just wrapped up her own training round. “You’ve been gone forever.”

“The captain had me run with added weights…” Moss muttered, still gasping for air, silently swearing to himself that he’d tread more carefully with Ellis’s orders in the future.

Greta lifted an eyebrow, clearly curious, but didn’t push it. She turned away and went right back to the afternoon training tasks without another word.

All through the afternoon, they stuck to their drills with impressive focus and discipline, even though no one was keeping a close eye on them.

What they didn’t realize was that Ellis had been watching from afar the entire time.

During one of the breaks, Michael wandered over to Ellis, his eyes drifting toward the group as they trained. He said with aid-back tone, “You really think these kids can handle this kind of grind?”

“This is just the start,” Ellis answered, his deep eyes impossible to read.<fnadc8> For original chapters go to findnovel</fnadc8>

Michael handed him a folder. “The approval for this weekend’s match between Freya and thework security team came through.”

    “This weekend?”

    “You busy?”

“I’ve already nned an outdoor training session.” Ellis flipped the folder open, skimming through the pages until he noticed that no specific time had been listed. He looked up. “Did they say morning or afternoon?”

“They know you’ve got your hands full with training, so the timing’s up to you. Just give them the schedule and let them know.”

Ellis nodded and closed the folder, epting the arrangement.
