Chapter 1284

    ?Chapter 1284:

    Grade-A ckmail, no doubt.

“Jesse, Jerome’s cake is so delicious!” Nina chirped mid-bite, trotting over to him and holding up a spoonful. “Try it!”

“I don’t like sweets,” Jesse declined.

He never had much of a thing for sugary stuff.

Nina, however, clearly just wanted him to say something nice about Jerome. She kept nudging the spoon toward his mouth, not giving up.

    “Just one bite.”

    Jesse let out a sigh.

“Jesse,e on. Your sweet, adorable, loving sister is feeding you herself! How can you possibly say no?”

“Fine. One bite,” Jesse sighed again, finally giving in.

“Yay!” Nina cheered, thrilled by her small victory.

Jesse took the spoon and tasted it. To him, all desserts tasted the same—just okay.

Nina stared at him with big, eager eyes, waiting for his verdict. “Well?”

    “Not bad.”

    “You mean it?”

    “Yeah.”

“I knew you’d like Jerome’s cake too!” Nina dered proudly, the gears in her head already spinning. “So when we yter, can you film us?”

“What are you going to y?” Jesse asked, raising a brow.

“ying house. I’ll be the bride, and Jerome’s the groom!” Nina blurted out. She had picked up the game from her little ymates back at Greta’s.

Honestly, Jesse nearly burst outughing at that. This was the ultimate future ckmail. Someday, when she had her first boyfriend, this video was going to be priceless.

“Do you even know what a bride and groom are?” he asked while already setting up the camera.

Nina took another bite of the cake, her cheeks tinted a soft rosy hue. “I know! When Mommy and Daddy got married, Mommy was the bride and Daddy was the groom.”

    “That’s right.”

“When I grow up, I’m going to marry Jerome!”

    Jesse froze.

“I’ll bring him home and make him my husband!” she added with full confidence.

“You’re only four,” Jesse reminded her, though he kept recording.

“I know. That’s why I’m just ying house with him for now,” Nina said with total seriousness. “But when I grow up, I’ll have a wedding with Jerome.”

    Jesse wisely stayed quiet.

That afternoon, when Nina went off to y with Jerome again, Jesse didn’t get in the way.

He simply resumed his role as cameraman. Despite being young, he actually had solid skills behind the camera.
