Chapter 1261

    ?Chapter 1261:

Kevin’s jaw tensed. He could see this wasn’t going anywhere. No point arguing with n.

If he wanted to win, he’d have to deal with Donna directly. The situation could spiral if the Briggs family got involved.

Without another word, he turned and left with an air of hostility.

Back at home, n pushed the entire conversation out of his mind for now.

The rest of his focus went to the kids.

After dinner, Nina disappeared into her room to call Jerome.

Jesse watched her and had a sudden urge to record how she was acting so he could show it to her when she was older.

    And Jesse did just that.

While Nina was chatting sweetly with Jerome, Jesse quietly recorded the whole thing.

It wasn’t until she ended the call that she noticed. “Jesse, what are you doing?”

“Documenting your childhood,” Jesse said with a serious look.

Nina lit up. “Then next time Jerome and I y together, can you film us? That way, when I miss him, I can watch the videos.”

Normally, Jesse would’ve shut her down—he wasn’t a fan of how attached she was getting.

But now? His perspective had changed. No way she’d stay this into Jerome for long. The moment another cute boy showed up, she’d move on fast.

So, if he could get a few embarrassing clips now, he’d have something to tease her withter. “Sure,” he agreed.

“Really?” Nina bounced. She hadn’t expected a yes.

    “Yeah,” Jesse said simply.

“I told Jerome we could hang out tomorrow afternoon,” Nina added. “So make sure your phone’s charged so you can film us!”

    Jesse’s expression shifted. “Tomorrow?”

“Yeah!” Nina nodded. “Jerome said his dad texted him and wants to meet up. I was worried that man might be mean, so I said I’d go too.”

Jesse frowned. “Did you tell Uncle n?”

Nina wrung her fingers sheepishly. “Not yet…”

She’d just gotten off the call with Jerome and hadn’t had time.

“Don’t do that again,” Jesse said. He wasn’t mad, but he wore a stern look. “Next time, tell me or Uncle n first. No deciding on your own.”<fnbd64> ?????? ???? fin?novel</fnbd64>

    “Okay!” Nina said quickly.

With that settled, Jesse reminded her to get some rest.

Then he went to find n and filled him in on everything.

n trusted the kids. “Do you want me toe with you?”

“NO,” Jesse said. Despite his young age, he had thought it through. “If Mr. Wilson wants to talk to Jerome, he probably won’t want any adults around. Nina and I can handle it.”
