?Chapter 1218:
He hadn’t meant to interfere—not today of all days. But he just couldn’t stop himself.
With his lips pressed tightly together, he looked at Freya and, after a small pause, said, “Can I talk to you?”
Freya instinctively turned to Ellis. Her meaning was unmistakable. If Ellis said yes, she’d go.
“Go ahead,” Ellis said, gently running a hand through her hair. He understood that some things needed closure. “I’ll wait right here.”
“Okay.” Freya had already made peace with it.
She walked with Kristian toward a small garden nearby—close enough for Ellis to keep them in view, just in case.
Kristian parted his lips and finally said the words he’d most wanted to say that day. “Congrattions on your wedding.”
“Thank you,” Freya replied.
Kristian’s mouth tightened into a firm line. There was so much more he wanted to say, but once he got the chance to speak his mind, the words refused toe.
“Don’t get stuck in the past,” Freya told him softly, hoping he’d learn to move forward. “The one meant for you might be just around the corner.”
Kristian wanted to tell her there wasn’t one—but instead, he said, “Got it.” Their conversationsted about ten minutes. Kristian spoke only a few times, keeping most of his thoughts buried where she couldn’t reach them.
“I hope you both find happiness,” he said as he stood, finally closing thest page of that story in his heart.
“Thank you,” Freya said.
And just like that, she and Kristian brought a quiet end to everything they once were.
Ellis had waited for her the entire time. When she returned, he took her hand, and they walked home together—ready to begin the next chapter.
As for Kristian, after parting ways with Freya, he met up with Felipe. He’d thought watching Freya get married would destroy him. But when he saw the light in her eyes, he understood—loving someone deeply sometimes meant knowing when to let go.

Felipe poured him a drink and said, “If you want to cry, just do it. I won’tugh.”
“Cry about what?”
“You went to Freya and Ellis’s wedding, didn’t you?” Felipe asked, his tone calmer than it used to be. “Didn’t it hurt seeing them together? Didn’t you feel like crashing the whole thing?”
Kristian gave no reply. He picked up the ss and downed it in one gulp. Clearly, he wasn’t interested in entertaining that kind of talk.
Felipe spoke with a straight face. “I get it. If Farrah married some other guy, I’d crash the wedding.”
“Freya and Ellis make a good pair,” Kristian said atst, after giving it real thought.
Looking back, he and Freya were too alike in too many ways. Neither one talked much. They both blew up when angry, hated long conversations, and struggled to open up.<fnc7f4> Latest content published on ?ovelFind</fnc7f4>
