Chapter 1107

    ?Chapter 1107:

“I do.” n deleted the photo, a flicker of guilt twisting in his chest.

    “Sorry for the misunderstanding.”

“No need to apologize. I’m actually d Freya has a cousin who looks out for her like this,” Ellis replied, with no trace of resentment. Then he added, “You haven’t told her about this yet, have you?”

Freya had video-called him while he was in the middle of a conversation with the ring designer. He had declined and sent her a message instead. Her reply seemed normal—but there was still a sliver of unease in him, just in case she might have misunderstood something.

“Haven’t said anything.” n was relieved he had held his tongue.

“I hope you’ll keep the whole thing quiet,” Ellis said with a faint smile, the light in his eyes gleaming. “I want the proposal to stay a surprise.”

“My lips are tight!” n promised instantly.

Now that the misunderstanding was cleared, he finally felt a weight lifted off his chest. He’d genuinely feared Freya would get hurt again. If Ellis had cheated, she might’ve stopped believing in love altogether. And if that happened, no one could’ve brought her back.

After their conversation, n headed out. To keep Freya from bringing it up to Ellis, he called her first to exin.

“You don’t need to look for Ellis anymore. I already spoke to him,” n said over the phone. “Want toe hang out for a bit? I found some cool spots.”

“Turn your camera around,” Freya said, staring at the screen thoughtfully.

“Huh?” Though puzzled, n followed her request.

    The rest on g?l????ν?????????????

He showed her every corner of the hotel room before asking, “What’s going on?”

“Come to Suite 503,” Freya said.

    “What?”

    “I’m upstairs.”

    “You’re here?”

    “Yes.”

n blinked, feeling the coincidencend a little too perfectly. Without even ending the call, he grabbed his phone and headed straight for the elevator.

Once Freya saw the familiar elevator interior, her suspicions were confirmed—it was the same hotel she was staying in.

She ended the call, stood up, opened the door, and waited in the living room.

When n arrived and saw the door already ajar, he was just about to knock when he spotted Freya lounging on the sofa.

“Mina?” His eyes widened in genuine shock. “What are you doing here? Business trip? Or were you tailing Ellis?”

“Handling something personal,” Freya replied, keeping things vague.

    “What kind of personal thing?”

    “It’s a secret.”

“You’re keeping it from me too?”

“Yes,” Freya said firmly. Only Greta, Riley, and Frederick were in on this one.

“Alright, alright,” n relented and switched topics. “Do you know where Ellis is on business?”

    “Where?”

“He’s also here,” n said offhandedly. “I bumped into him outside a restaurant after my meeting. We had a chat and cleared things up.”

Freya froze in ce. If she remembered correctly, Ellis didn’t have any official work in this city. Why was he here? Could he have followed her to figure out why she came?
