Chapter 1164

    ?Chapter 1164:

The quiet moment was broken by a suddenmotion outside the door. Yvonne turned toward the noise, confused, and spotted two people arguing with the bodyguards, demanding entry.

    One was Alexis.

She squeezed Norton’s hand firmly. “Let them in.”

The guards nodded and stepped aside, allowing Alexis and Katrina into the room. As soon as they stepped inside, they began pleading urgently. “Ms. Jimenez, we didn’t know you were connected to Mr. Burke. We were wrong—truly wrong. Please, we beg you, ask Mr. Burke to show mercy and spare us.”

Yvonne frowned sharply. “So you’re only sorry because of my link to Norton? You attacked me without remorse?”

Katrina’s face froze, but she quickly forced a smile. “Ms. Jimenez, that’s not what we meant. We know we were wrong. We’ve already posted a public apology online. Please, just this once, cut us some ck.”

Tears streamed down her cheeks as she begged. “Ms. Jimenez, please have mercy. Say something for us online, or the public bacsh will ruin us.”

Yvonne let out a bitterugh. “Now you’re scared of the public’s judgment? Where was this fear when you used it against me? I will never forgive you.” She turned away, refusing to listen further. “Have them thrown out,” she told Norton.

Once they left, Yvonne reopened her news app.

Sure enough, Horizon Entertainment’s official ount had tagged her in a public apology.

She skimmed their statement, which detailed their cruel actions against her. Thements were full of outrage toward the couple and sympathy for Yvonne.

A faint smile crossed her lips, knowing how fickle online moods could be. In the article, the Gibson couple confessed their dirty tactics, including hiring trolls to smear Yvonne’s name and even sending people to harm her outside her office.

On her own ount, she posted a single sentence: “Deliberately stirring public opinion, cyberbullying, and malicious harm—I will never forgive.”

Thements section was flooded with praise for her strong stance. But Yvonne felt no warmth from their words. She knew theirpliments were just shadows—they could change sides in an instant.

    M??? ??d???? ?? g????????.????

“You did the right thing,” Norton said quietly.

Startled, Yvonne looked up at him. He smiled gently, his eyes full of warmth and approval.

From the moment she checked the news, Norton had been watching her silently. Seeing her post, he knew this was the woman he remembered.

Her post stirred mixed reactions—some celebrated, others despaired.

Katrina was furious. She grabbed a ceramic vase and smashed it on the floor. Then, without hesitation, she pped Alexis hard across the face. “This is all your fault! If you hadn’t had that affair with Jillian, would thepany be in ruins?”

Alexis lowered his gaze, teeth clenched. When he looked up, he forced a smile. “How was I supposed to know Yvonne had such powerful allies? Let’s focus on fixing this now.”

Katrina’s face paled with rage. “Fix it? How? The public is against us. Even our top PR team can’t handle this. And Yvonne won’t forgive us! Burke Group is pulling the strings here. How do you expect to fix this?” Her re pinned Alexis, who had no answer.

Before they could n, a subordinate burst in, panic all over his face. “Bad news!”
