Chapter 1137

    ?Chapter 1137:

After days of shadowing Yvonne, she finally felt she had enough ammunition. Her eyes gleamed with malice as she scrolled through the photos in her viewfinder, then packed the camera away.

Last time, she had only shared a few pictures of Yvonne and Ethan, and they had barely made a ripple online. This time, she nned to release not just real photos but fakes—images of Yvonne inpromising scenes with a lineup of unfamiliar men. That, she was sure, would destroy Yvonne.

She lingered on the forged images—each one carefully edited to paint Yvonne in scandalous proximity to various men. Only after forwarding the bundle to her hired trolls did she allow herself a breath of satisfaction.

“Let’s see how you survive this storm,” she muttered viciously.

Yvonne remained blissfully unaware of the trap beingid. She had to admit, having Ethan around during overtime had been a game changer. The ease of theirmunication made everything move faster. Surveying the nearlypleted stack of work, she allowed herself a brief moment of pride.

Elsewhere, Norton’s mood had soured. His jaw clenched as Leif handed over a thick envelope of photographs.

“Sir, as you requested after thest round of gossip, we’ve been keeping an eye on things. Today, our monitoring caught fresh rumors being spread by online trolls.”

Leif ced the prints carefully on Norton’s desk and added, “Most of the content has already been intercepted by our team. Rest assured—this won’t escte like before.”

Norton gave a slight nod. His trust in Leif’spetence had never wavered, and he felt confident the situation was contained. But as he thumbed through the photos, his features tightened.

The images showed Yvonne in suggestive situations with various men—each frame deliberately crafted to spark suspicion.

He skimmed through the obviously edited images with little interest. But the moment he reached the photo of Yvonne and Ethan, his entire demeanor turned ice-cold.

Unlike the others, this one felt genuine—undeniably real. His gaze locked on the picture, and the light in his eyes dimmed like a storm rolling in.

After a long silence, he finally spoke. “We’re going to Stylist Magazine.”

The ride over was thick with unspoken thoughts. He had stayedte at work just once, and already Yvonne was off spending time alone with Ethan? Norton closed his eyes, fingers pressing against his temples, trying to temper the surge of emotion threatening to break loose.

The moment the car halted, he got out and strode into the building with purpose, ready to confront her.

But as he reached the elevator, the doors slid open—Yvonne stepped out, with Ethan at her side.

Norton didn’t hesitate. Without a word, he seized her arm and pulled her aside, ignoring Ethan entirely.

“Hey—” Yvonne tried to bid Ethan farewell, but Norton’s long strides left her no chance. She managed a quick nce over her shoulder before he tugged her away without pause. Whatever was bothering Norton today, she couldn’t guess—he hadn’t let her get a single word out.

Norton dragged her to the car, yanked the door open, and ushered her inside.
