Sierra nodded. "Yeah, that''s fine."
Only then did Samuel let out a breath of relief. As long as Sierra wouldn''t divorce him, he was willing to put aside his pride.
"Let''s live well from now on. If anything happens, I''ll control myself and won''t run my mouth. If I do, just p me."
"Why would I hit you?" Sierra thought back to when they were overseas. She had repeatedly hit Samuel before. If he had ever fought back or held it against her, she wouldn''t have stood a chance.
She quietly said, "I''ve made mistakes too. I owe you an apology."
"It''s okay. I don''t mind. I just don''t want to lose you."
"Cee, Samuel, your mom and I are going to take a walk around the neighborhood. You two have a proper talk."
Jonathan took Melissa''s hand, and the two headed out.
As soon as they left, the older couple lowered their voices and started whispering.
"Don''t you think Sierra reconciled with Samuel a bit too quickly?"
"She still loves him, and Samuel still loves her. Back when we were young, didn''t we argue too? We made up and got through it together, right?<fn620d> Chapters first released on </fn620d>
"It''s best that we don''t interfere too much, as long as Sierra''s happy. If she really divorces him, it''s not guaranteed she''ll find another man like Samuel."
"True. As long as they''re good to each other, that''s all that matters."
They chatted while strolling through the vipound.
Inside Samuel''s vi, Sierra and Samuel had another heartfelt talk. Samuel also called Samantha to apologize, but she didn''t ept it. He didn''t push it. After all, his only goal had always been to avoid divorcing Sierra.
He never had any intention of letting her go.
"Samuel, I want to go to Walker Estate and apologize to Sky in person."
Sierra still remembered Natalie''s warning. Though Natalie and Marcus were away on a trip, they clearly had a grasp on everything currently happening in Dithoria. They had seen through Sierra''s little schemes and maniptions.
"I don''t want to be enemies with the Walker family. I made mistakes, and I should own up to them. I want to be sincere. Will youe with me to see Sky?"
"Of course." Samuel agreed without hesitation. "I''ll prepare a gift while you get in touch with Sky. Let''s visit them and apologize properly."
"Alright."
Sierra took a deep breath. Natalie already knew her intentions, so Sierra had to deliver this apology. What mattered most was sincerity. As long as she was sincere, she believed that neither Natalie, Sky, nor anyone else from the Walker family would make things difficult for her.
Soon, Sierra contacted Sky, and Samuel prepared the apology gift. Once everything was ready, they texted Jonathan and Melissa to inform them, then got in the car and left Causeway Bay.
An hourter, they arrived at Walker Estate. Sky had already told the guards to let them in, so they drove straight to the vi entrance.
When they reached the main residence, Gorge was already waiting at the door.
"Mr. Sinir, Ms. Remington, wee to the Walker residence."
Gorge was very courteous as Sky had instructed him to treat them like they were his friends.
"Please follow me."
Gorge led the way while Sierra pushed Samuel in after him.
Soon, they were brought to the living room, where Sky, William, and Charlotte were already seated.
"Mr. Walker, Mrs. Walker, Mr. Sky. Mr. Sinir and Ms. Remington are here," Gorge announced.
"Come have a seat," Charlotte said with a smile, rising from her seat. She pulled Sierra to sit next to her and had Gorge serve them a drink.
"Sierra, I saw you once when you were a child."
"Mrs. Walker, we''re here today to offer a formal apology," Sierra said, standing up and bowing deeply to Sky.
"Mr. Sky, I''m sorry. Some of the things I said to you before were lies."
Sky rose to his feet as well. "You already apologized over the phone. There''s no need to do it again."
"No, I want to apologize in person. That''s the only way to prove my sincerity." Sierra looked at him earnestly. "Mr. Sky, I sincerely apologize again for everything I did."
"It''s alright, "Sky said in a gentle voice. You''ve already apologized, and I can sense your sincerity.
"I don''t me you. Ms. Remington, you don''t need to worry."
"Sky, Sierra and I previously misunderstood each other. I went to Walker Group to cause trouble. That was wrong of me too, and I need to apologize as well," Samuel said, struggling to rise from his
wheelchair. With a thud, he dropped to his knees in front of Sky. s
Samuel winced from the pain. His leg was still broken, and kneeling only made it worse. Still, he gritted his teeth and lowered his posture.
"Sky, I''m truly sorry. This is all my fault. I caused Sierra to overthink, which led to her asking for your help.
"We were wrong. We shouldn''t have lied to you. We never should''ve had any intention of using you. Please, Sky, be generous and forgive us just this once."
"Samuel, get up." William finally spoke. "Sky told us about what happened. We don''t me you."
ét
"Yes." Sky reached out to help Samuel back into his wheelchair. "Just a few minutes ago, Zachary called me. It''s better to resolve grudges than to deepen them. If we have misunderstandings between us, then let''s clear them up. s
Sky was much more mellow now. He no longer pressed people when he had the upper hand. If things could be handled peacefully, he preferred to do so.
Samuel bowed to all three of them. "Thank you, Mr. Walker, Mrs. Walker. Thank you, Sky."
He added, "My legs aren''t in good shape, so please forgive me."
"It''s alright. We were nearly family at a time, so there''s no need to be so formal." Charlotte smiled. "Speaking of, I hope you two can reconcile.
"Samuel, you''re Sophia''s biological brother. Back when you were overseas, it was hard to be involved. But now that you''re back, if you can protect your sister, then do it well."
Samuel nodded seriously. "You''re right, Mrs. Walker. I understand."
"I''m not trying to lecture you." Charlotte sighed. "Our two families used to get along well. It''s just that unfortunate things happened along the way. If possible, I hope we can reconnect more often. Being friends. with Sky would be a good thing for you."
s
"Mrs. Walker, can we still be friends with Mr. Sky?" Sierra asked, a little surprised
that the Walker family was so understanding.
