Chapter 485 Julie Lombards Husband is Kenton Langley

Hector blinked and reached out to tug Natalie''s sleeve. "Nat, our parents sent me here to protect you. I can''t let anything happen to you. No matter what you do, you have to bring me along."

"Connie." Natalie turned to look at Connie.

She immediately shook her head. "Ms. Walker, I didn''t say anything. I swear."

"She didn''t say anything. I was eavesdropping," Hector said, ncing at Connie.

She lookedpletely baffled. "Wait, when did you do that? How did I not notice?"

"If you noticed, it wouldn''t be called eavesdropping, right?" Hector replied. "I said I overheard it, okay?"

"Ms. Walker..." Connie pouted, wanting toin.

However, Natalie pressed a hand over her mouth. "Alright, that''s enough. Since Hector knows, he''ll apany me.

"Connie, you should be more careful next time. Although there aren''t any outsiders here at The Herbalist''s Sanctuary, it''s always better to be cautious."

    "Yes, Ms. Walker."

After Natalie and Hector left, Connie was still standing there, wondering how Hector had managed to overhear her conversation.

Hector apanied Natalie into the car. Both of them sat in the back seat, while Ynda Yale took the wheel. Natalie pressed a button to lower the center partition, then pulled out her phone to show Hector.

    "Hector, take a look."

    "Sure."

Hector grabbed the phone and saw a rtionship chart, connecting the Langleys, the Holdens, and the Walkers.

The individuals with connections were linked together, but there were some gaps and missing connections.

With just a nce, Hector understood her intent. "Nat, these nk spaces are missing key people and key events, right?"

"Exactly. I came to Amberton this time to investigate the matter of me being swapped at birth. Although Emma is in prison and Cindy''s dead, I feel like this matter isn''t as simple as it seems. If I don''t get to the bottom of it, I''m afraid something bad might still happen."

Natalie leaned on the seat and continued, "Hector, Mr. Langton rarely mentions specific people, but he made a point to bring up Julie Lombard. I have a feeling she''s important.

"Besides, he managed to find someone that Marcus couldn''t. Don''t you think it''s strange? After all, ever since he handed The Herbalist''s Sanctuary to Joshua and Goodwill Pharmacy to me, he''s been traveling around and enjoying his life. He wouldn''t get involved with much."

"Are you saying that Marcus getting drunk tonight wasn''t a test, but something Mr. Langton deliberately arranged?" Hector asked.

Natalie nodded, then shook her head. "Maybe partly, but it could''ve been just a simple test. Also, Marcus didn''t really seem drunk, which is why I made sure he was sound asleep."

Hector took a deep breath, unsure how to respond.

If Marcus was really pretending, he was great at scheming. But if he wasn''t, as Natalie''s brother, Hector couldn''t help but feel sorry for him.

"Hector, don''t worry. I won''t do that to you." Natalie chuckled at Hector''s conflicted expression. "I only gave him something to help him sleep. He hasn''t been sleeping welltely.

"Because of what happened to Laura, he''s been struggling as well. Even if he didn''t admit it, I know. After all, The Herbalist''s Sanctuary is filled with my people," she exined.

"Nat, I have no objections. You don''t have to exin anything to me. You''re my sister. I''ve told you before, that no matter what you do, I''ll support you."

Hector pulled out a chocte bar from his pocket, unwrapped it, and handed it to her. "I''m just worried about you. You''ve been busy treating Laura and you still have to think about Marcus. You haven''t gotten much rest.

"Besides, Marcus even broke off your engagement. I''m just unhappy that you''re letting him back into your life like this and bing his girlfriend. I think he''s getting off too easily.

"But, I also want you to be happy. If you like him, I can forget about what happened in the past. Also, Lincoln already gave him a good beating. That should''ve taught him a lesson."

"I know. Thank you, Hector," Natalie said.

Natalie and Hector continued chatting along the way, eating the chocte he brought her. After a long time, they finally arrived at the small clinic Federrick mentioned.

    ...

It was midnight. The clinic was located in an isted part of town. Only a few streetlights were lit. Under the dim lights, they noticed that all the shops were closed.

The small clinic was quiet, with only the signboard flickering at the entrance.

After scanning the area, Natalie took out her phone and sent a message. Momentster, the clinic door opened. An elderly man with graying hair walked out.

"Ms. Natalie, you''re here. Please,e in."

The elderly man''s name was Leon Zimmer. He was extremely respectful toward Natalie. She gave him a slight nod before motioning Hector to follow her inside.

"This small clinic, Wellspring Clinic, was something Mr. Langton saved in the past." Natalie turned around and exined softly, "Mr. Zimmer''s son drowned years ago. He and his wife, Sharon, were devastated. They tried to take their own lives by overdosing on sleeping pills, but Mr. Langton saved them.

"Then, he gave them the responsibility of running the clinic. Mr. Zimmer used to be a doctor. Most people around here are poor, so he@pened this clinic here, and Goodwill Pharmacy supplies this clinic with free medicine.

"In return, he would provide medical care for the people in this area. Many of them would drop by and check in on the couple. They supported each other and helped each other out.

"Slowly, the elderly couple dismissed the idea of taking their own lives. Since then, if there are any important people and news, Mr. Langton will arrange it here, so we can deal with itter."

Hector couldn''t help but respect Federrick even more. "Nat, your mentor is truly an incredible person."

At the mention of Federrick, Natalie was filled with pride. "That''s right! Not only does he take in orphans, but he saves the elderly too. He''s incredible."

    "Ms. Natalie, we''re here."

Leon led the siblings to the housing behind the clinic. A woman was lying on the bed, while his wife, Sharon Zimmer, was taking care of her.

    "Ms. Natalie, you''re here."

The moment Sharon saw Natalie, she stood up and greeted her, "Mr. Langton told

us to take good care of her, saying that she would be of use to you. We''ve been looking after her, waiting for you."

"Mr. Zimmer, Mrs. Zimmer, thank you both."

Natalie approached the bed and looked at the face of the woman on the bed. She had delicate features, but a long, winding scar ran across her neck. Sharon remembered something and quickly spoke up, "Oh right, Ms. Natalie. Thisdy, Ms. Lombard, told me that if she hadn''t woken up by the time you arrived, I should pass along a message."

    "What is it?"

With a serious look on her face, Sharon replied, "She said her name is Julie Lombard, and that her husband is Kenton Langley, a member of the Langleys, the wealthiest family in Amberton."
