Chapter 1332

    ?Chapter 1332:

But the frame wouldn’t budge. It had been sealed tight.

As she frantically searched for options, her eyesnded on a blue porcin vase perched on the nightstand.

To get what he wanted, Emerson wouldn’t let her die. So, if she was injured, he’d make sure she got medical attention.

That slim hope might be her only way out.

Driven by desperation, Sadie made up her mind to take a risk.

Moving toward the vase, she picked it up.

She gripped the vase, the chill of the ceramic steadying her nerves.

With a deep breath, she smashed it hard against her own forehead.

Meanwhile, outside Hurst’s shabby rental, an old pickup fishtailed to a stop in a haze of swirling dust. The door swung open from within.

Hurst dragged a tied and struggling man from the back seat.

Afara almost copsed, his legs wobbling.

“Get moving! What, did you forget how to walk? You’re slower than a snail,” Hurst shouted, impatience crackling in his voice.

Trying to regain his bnce, Afara nced around, looking utterly lost. How had thingse to this—him, the Wolfpack’s third-inmand, being tossed around like baggage by Hurst, all because he had Noah backing him up? When had he ever suffered such humiliation?

Growing frustrated with Afara’s sluggishness, Hurst raised a threatening fist, his intent clear.

He wasn’t holding back. One wrong move, and Afara would pay for it.

“All right, all right!” Afara scrambled backwards, hands raised in surrender. “No need for violence! I’ll pick up the pace, see? You two arepletely nuts.”

He still couldn’t believe what these two had done—setting fire to the lighthouse, kidnapping him in broad daylight.

    The nerve!

    ???????? ?????????????? ???? ??????????????????.??????

His eyes darted nervously, and suddenly, he tried a different approach, his voice oozing with forced friendliness.

“Hey, uh, about my illness… Think there’s still hope for a cure?”

Hurst shot him a frosty look and shrugged. “Depends on whether I feel like helping you or not.”

Noah stepped out from behind the wheel, his movements deliberate, and trailed behind them.

He took in the isted surroundings, his gaze turning somber and watchful.

Right now, he knew Sadie was with White Tiger and the Wolfpack’s boss.

With Afara, the third-ranking member, now in their custody, the gang leader wouldn’t risk making any reckless moves.

At least for the moment, Sadie’s safety seemed assured.
