?Chapter 1438:
Bryan pulled a small, stic card from his pocket. It was a membership card of a local dessert shop, still warm from being tucked close to his body. He handed it to Eileen. “Why are you giving me this?” Eileen asked, clutching it < tightly.
"Think of it as a special ount just for desserts," Bryan exined, giving in to Eileen''s sweet tooth. "But remember, once you use up the money before you give birth to the baby, you can''t buy desserts anymore."
It broke his heart to see her craving sweets every night, her eyes gleaming like a kid in a candy store as she described all the delicious treats she wanted.
Maybe her longing for desserts was as intense as his desire for sex.
"You didn''t just put a measly two hundred bucks on this, did you?" Eileen asked, raising an eyebrow. "''There are still five months to go until the babyes, and those fancy desserts are not cheap. Two hundred won''tst long." "The minimum membership fee for this ce is two thousand dors," Bryan said.
Eileen''s eyes widened. "Wow! So how much did you top up? Five thousand?"
"Two thousand," Bryan said, carefully arranging the desserts on the counter. "And I have already spent a hundred and fifty today."
Eileen fell silent, a flicker of disappointment crossing her face. She had been hoping for more.
She joined Gabri at the coffee table, and they both dug into the desserts.
Between bites, Eileen asked, "Any news on Colby?"
Bryan hesitated, a thoughtful frown creasing his forehead. "Raymond has searched every nook and cranny ofOnnd, " he said. "But there''s no sign of Colby."

Eileen said, "Do you think they got rid of him? Chopped him up and left no trace? That''s too cruel…
"''Even if that''s not the case," Bryan said, tapping his fingers rhythmically on the table, "I doubt the real Colby will make it to the wedding. There''s only one ce we haven''t checked yet—the Deleon family''s mansion. l''
"You think the real Colby is being held at the Deleon family''s mansion?" Eileen asked, dabbing her lips with a napkin. "But how do we get the police to search it?" It was impressive that Amoura had managed to keep Colby hidden right under Javier''s nose.
The Deleon family''s mansion was private property. The police couldn''t just barge in without a warrant.
"''Javier wants to use Colby''s wedding to smooth things over with my family," Bryan said, looking at Eileen. "''He has'' been inviting me to attend several times. We can attend the wedding and expose the whole charade then and there. " Eileen''s eyes lit up. "1''ming with you," she dered with a grin. "And I promise to be on my best behavior. I won''t cause you any trouble. "
Bryan gently tapped her head. "Do you really think I''m worried about you causing trouble?" he asked, amusement twinkling in his eyes.
If it weren''t for her pregnancy, he wouldn''t dream of keeping her cooped up at home.
She would be free to go wherever she wanted to go.
