Chapter 1431

    ?Chapter 1431:

As he sat down, Bryan gently smoothed Eileen’s dress over her rounded belly. ‘”I’m not angry with her,” he exined.

“I’m just worried she might identally hurt you one day. Some guidance is necessary.”

Eileen watched Gabri y. Gabri asionally nced back at them.

“It’s partly my fault, too,” Eileen admitted. “Everyone has warned me to be careful around kids during pregnancy. I should have paid more attention. It’s not fair to me Gabri entirely.”

She felt a pang of guilt, realizing they might have overreacted. Gabri had been just ying with her. The poor child was probably frightened herself, thinking she had almost hurt her mother and the baby.

Eileen made a mental note to have a heart-to-heart with Gabriter, ensuring this incident wouldn’t leave anysting emotional scars.

But yearster, she would find the memory amusing, especially when grown-up Gabri would cheekily recount the incident.

    At the Deleon family’s residence.

Due to numerous project cancetions and the misuse of foreign funds, shareholders of the Deleon Group were voicing their displeasure about the issues.

Javier had made a bold promise: if the Deleon Group couldn’t turn a profit in three months, they would pull out of the domestic market entirely.

This news of this sent ripples of shock through Onnd.

Even without Bryan’s opposition, transforming a multimillion dor loss into a profit in just three months seemed an insurmountable challenge.

Amoura, in particr, was on edge. But her own missteps had contributed to this mess, and she couldn’t bring herself to pressure Javier further. So she turned her attention to Colby.

“Why are you at home with me every day instead of working?” Colby sprawled on the sofa, his eyes glued to his phone screen. Without looking up, he said, ‘”Can’t you see? It’s not that I don’t want to go to thepany to work. Javier won’t let me.”

Amoura’s face drained of color. “‘What do you mean?” she asked.

“‘Exactly what I just said,” Colby replied.

“‘When did he tell you that? What reason did he give you for keeping you from working?” Amoura’s frustration

simmered as she plopped down beside Colby, but Colby’s attention stayed glued to the phone in his hand. Growing impatient, she swiftly snatched the device from him and tossed it away.

Finally, Colby shifted, sitting up with anguid sigh. He grabbed a cup of water and drained it in one go. “A few days ago,” he said, wiping his mouth with the back of his  hand, “Javier told me to stay home and keep an eye on you. 0  Amoura’s eyes widened in shock as she jumped to her feet, her voice rising. “Keep an eye on me? Why didn’t you tell me this sooner? What else did he say?”

A hint of amusement flickered in Colby’s eyes as he looked at Amoura. “Nothing else. Just to keep tabs on you. Maybe… He is already suspicious.”

Amoura paced the room, her mind racing. She then returned to Colby’s side, her voice low and urgent. “It doesn’t matter if he suspects me. Worst case, I’ll drop my vendetta against the Dawson family. As long as our n seeds, that’s all that matters. You’ve been talking to that Meyer girl a lottely. If everything is going well, you should marry her!”
