Chapter 1348

    ?Chapter 1348:

“Don’t worry. We’ll be best buddies before you know it,” Le said confidently.

Both grandmothers, convinced they knew best, were likely to strike a deal, not meddling in Bryan and Eileen’s affairs from now on. And that was exactly what Le wanted.

Ste, too, would believe she had achieved what she wanted.

“Fine, keep up your act. I’ll leave now. Bailee’s waiting. Let’s try to keep dinner civilized, yeah?” Eileen said, resigned to the fact that she couldn’t stop Le’s n.

Knowing her grandmother and Ste, Eileen doubted they would resort to anything truly drastic, so she decided to leave them be. As Eileen exited Le’s room, she spotted Bryan emerging from Ste’s, his forehead creased in frustration, the fruit tter in his hands untouched, just like hers.

Eileen put a grape in her mouth, its tartness exploding on her tongue. “What did Ste say?” she asked.

“Grandma ims it’s for my own good. She said she has everything handled and that I shouldn’t interfere,” Bryan replied, his tone resigned.

Eileen arched an eyebrow. “What a surprise. My grandma said the same thing. Let’s just leave them to it and focus on Gabri.”

Bryan looked confused. “What do you mean?”

“She received a lot of gifts and money for Christmas. We need to con her… I mean, we need to figure out how to get her to hand the money over so we can save it for her,” Eileen said with a wink.

Gabri had been diligently stuffing the cash into her tiny purse. It was practically bursting at the seams.

Gabri, fiercely protective of her newfound wealth, refused to let anyone touch it, bringing it with her everywhere she went.

Her concern grew when Huey bestowed a particrly generous amount on her. She was unable to put the money in her purse now; there was no room left.

Gabri’s possessiveness made it clear to Eileen that this situation required a delicate touch.

Eileen’s online research yielded articles by parenting experts who stressed the importance of saving children’s money for them, emphasizing the need to instill a sense of financial responsibility.

Eileen was lost in thought. How was she going to get her hands on Gabri’s money and save it for her?

“Gabri’s a girl. It’s best if you, her mother, handle this. I’m staying out of it,” Bryan said.

He was determined not to get caught in the crossfire. That money was Gabri’s prized possession, and anyone foolish enough to try and take it away would feel her wrath. He wasn’t about to be the one to make Gabri upset.

Before Eileen could respond, Bryan turned and walked away.
