?Chapter 1347:
“Sounds like a n,” Bryan replied.
Le’s room was situated at the far end of the hallway, bathed in the warm glow of afternoon sunlight that embraced Eileen as she walked toward it.
Bncing a te of fruit in her hands, Eileen approached the door, but before she could even raise her hand to knock, it swung open. Le waved her inside urgently.
“What happened?” Eileen asked, unable to contain her curiosity. “Did you and Ste have a fight? I thought you were going to win her over.”
“Rx, we’re just testing each other,” Le reassured Eileen, pulling her down onto the bed. “That old woman is stubborn as a mule, but I’ll get her in line.” She paused, her expression turning serious. “Listen, I’ve got this figured out. If I don’t straighten out her attitude now, you’re going to have a hell of a time with herter. She only cares about Bryan and the Dawson family now. You won’t stand a chance.”
Le had spent a lot of time observing Ste, studying her every move and reaction.
She knew that if Ste wasn’t happy, she wouldn’t hesitate to make Eileen’s life difficult.
As Eileen’s grandmother, Le felt a responsibility to pave the way for her granddaughter.
“Look, I can handle whatever Ste throws my way. It can’t be any worse than the stress you’re putting yourself through right now. You don’t have to do this for me.” Eileen just wanted Le to enjoy their time together.
“I’m not stressing,” Le reassured her with a confident nod. “Just strategizing a bit. Don’t sweat it; I’m not going to cause any drama or fight. We’re cool.”

“If you’re not fighting, then why the long face?” Eileen asked, pouting. “You both left home all smiles, but now, you seem angry.”
Le said, “Well, we went to watch some dancing, and we both kind of took a liking to the same guy. Then—”
“Hold up!” Eileen eximed, eyes wide. “Grandma, do you even hear yourself right now?”
“It’s not like that!” Leughed. “There were these two guys in the dance troupe ying instruments. We both thought the same one was kinda cute, and since I’m a bit more, you know, forward, he ended up chatting with me more. Ste got a bit jealous, I guess.”
Le exined how it was just harmless appreciation and a bit of a chat, nothing more, but Ste seemed to have taken it personally.
Noticing Eileen’s bewildered expression, Le quickly added, “Don’t worry; she wasn’t being mean or anything. She just wanted to prove a point—that women who are too forward and assertive don’t get the guy. She’s hoping I’ll butt out of your business from now on.”
Eileen feltpletely out of her depth, unable to grasp Le’s and Ste’s moves.
She listened intently, her forehead creased in concentration one moment, then smoothing out the next.
She couldn’t help but feel a little sorry for the people in the dance troupe, caught in the crossfire of this strange power struggle.
