?Chapter 1332:
After Eileen finished washing up, it was already past eight. She followed Le downstairs, hearing Le whisper, “Whatever I sayter, don’t take it personally.”
Le’s words left Eileen confused. “Huh?”
“What?” Le’s voice suddenly got louder as she scolded, “It’s Christmas, yet you didn’t wake up early. Look at your elders downstairs, busy with everything. What does that say about you? You really have no manners. If this continues, you should go back to Alverton with me and learn properly!”
Eileen was rendered momentarily speechless.
Not only was she startled, but everyone in the dining room was also shocked. They quickly came out, all staring at her and Le.
Bryan’s eyes showed a hint of understanding when he saw Eileen’s confused expression. He lowered his gaze and remained silent.
Ruby felt puzzled. This wasn’t the Le who usually spoiled Eileen!
Ste felt displeased, unsure of why, especially when she heard Le’s words about taking Eileen back to Alverton to learn.
“We’ve already finished the preparations here. No need to bother Eileen now,” Ste said. “She has manners. It’s just that she is pregnant and needs to rest more now.”
“In our time, pregnant women from poor families still had to do hard work. They had to do chores even after giving birth. Nowadays, women are just spoiled. If there’s anything left to do, let Eileen take care of it,” Le replied dismissively, gesturing towards the dining room. “Stop standing around. Go take a look!”

Eileen paused on the second step, momentarily frozen by the unexpected words before making her way down and heading toward the dining room.
Bryan lowered his eyes, unable to hide the slight smile tugging at his lips as his gaze shifted to Ste.
Ste, caught off guard, watched Eileening closer. Only when Eileen began to get to work did Ste gesture to her, saying, “Stop right there. You just woke up and haven’t eaten anything. Go grab some food; we’ll handle the rest.”
“I’ll get you some soup,” Bryan said, disappearing into the kitchen and returning with a bowl of soup. “The dining table is upied. Go eat in the living room instead.”
Eileen stared at the bowl of soup Bryan extended toward her, hesitating, not quite certain if she should ept it.
“Go on; take it. Eat fast so that you can get back to helping soon,” Le said, her face hard to read, but her dissatisfaction with Eileen was evident. It seemed like she couldn’t go against Ste’s “order” and had to let Eileen off the hook for now.
Bryan carried the soup and a few dishes into the living room, giving Gabri a small portion as well.
Eileen sat cross-legged, fixing her disheveled long hair before diving into the meal.
Le, unsure about the unfamiliar food, hadn’t touched any of it. She sat on the couch, feeding Gabri while whispering to Eileen, “Do you have any idea what kind of person Ste really is?”
“No,” Eileen replied, shaking her head. “But I know you well now. Your acting skills are impable.”
