?Chapter 1028:
After scrutinizing Eileen from head to toe, Alvera looked up and nodded at Keith. “This is Tilda, your daughter who was raised abroad, right? I could tell she’s yours the moment I saw her. She’s a spitting image of you.” Suddenly, the room fell silent.
Eileen’s heart skipped a beat, and she instinctively nced over at Keith.
Keith stared back at her in shock, his eyes locked onto hers as if searching for something.
“You’re mistaken, Mrs. Lyons,” Kam said coldly, pointing toward Tilda, who was approaching from a short distance away. “That’s Tilda.” Her voice dripped with arrogance.
When Alvera had been looking at Eileen, she couldn’t help but notice how much Eileen and Dottie resembled each other. Her surprise grew when she heard Kam’s words.
She turned her gaze to Tilda, who was slowly making her way over. She then scanned the other members of the Aston family.
Finally, she turned her gaze back to Eileen.
“Alvera, is your eyesight failing you because of your old age?” Le quipped, pulling Eileen closer. “This is my granddaughter, Dottie’s daughter.”
Keith turned his gaze away but couldn’t resist stealing another nce at Eileen out of the corner of his eye. For a moment, it was as if he were seeing Dottie standing there instead. Eileen was Dottie’s daughter.
To him, Eileen was the spitting image of Dottie.
How could Eileen possibly resemble him?
Kam’s heart sank at Keith’s silence. She quickly gave Jaliyah a look.
“Tilda is way more beautiful than Eileen. Tilda, why didn’t youe here sooner?” Jaliyah quickly said, rolling her eyes.
Tilda stood there, not understanding what was happening.
Keith said, “Enough. It’s just a misunderstanding.”
Jaliyah’s voice was audible to those around her, and Keith was clearly displeased. After giving Jaliyah a stern reprimand, Keith asked Kam to go and meet Alvera’s great-great-grandson. Meanwhile, he took a seat beside Alvera and engaged her in conversation for a while.
Alvera gently touched Eileen’s cheek, her eyes welling up. “Dottie’s child? She looks just like her mother. Le, you finally did something right after all these years, having found Dottie’s child.”
“Calm down. Don’t let your mood affect your health,” Le said, patting Alvera’s arm as she noticed Keith’s presence.
Alvera nced at Keith, only to see that his gaze was tenderly fixed on Eileen. With a sigh, she realized what Le was hinting at.
Alvera switched gears and asked Eileen, “Is this little one your daughter?”
Eileen nodded and scooped Gabri up into her arms. “Gabri, say hello to Mrs. Lyons.”
“Mr. Lyons,” Gabri chirped, then started wiggling, eager to get back to ying.
Her squirming was so adorable that several people present chuckled.
Keith’s eyes moved from Eileen to Gabri.
He had met Eileen a couple of times when she had been a little girl. Even though it had been years, he clearly remembered Eileen as a child, and Gabri looked just like how Eileen had looked when she was that age.
