Chapter 924

    ?Chapter 924:

He shook his head. “I’m afraid I don’t know much, Mrs. Aston. I mostly worked for his father back then.”

“Just answer this: when did Keith and Dottie break up?” Kam’s voice was steady but demanding.

Her authority was unmistakable. For years, she had controlled the Aston household. Keith had left most of the household matters to her while he focused on earning money, trusting her to handle everything else.

The driver knew better than to go against Kam.

“A month before Keith met you,” he admitted.

Kam’s brows furrowed. She pulled out her phone, her fingers tapping quickly as she searched for information on Eileen. She found detailed records, including her birthdate. The dates aligned.

She slipped the paper into her bag. “Have the chef prepare some coffee for my husband when he returns.”

“Of course, Mrs. Aston,” the driver quickly responded.

Dottie’s coffin was exhumed and transported to the Vazquez family’s ancestral cemetery. Guards stood watch, barring Keith’s entry.

Five long hours passed before Dottie was finallyid to rest. As Eileen left the cemetery, she caught sight of Keith’s retreating figure. He was slumped, weary, descending the mountain with the weight of loneliness on his shoulders.

As soon as Eileen returned to the Vazquez Mansion, Le guessed what had happened.

    Updates loaded at g@lnoνe??s

“Did Keith show up again?” she asked.

Eileen nodded. She then recounted everything that had transpired.

Le’s eyes welled up with tears.

“Should we give him the Vazquez family’s pass so that he can visit Dottie’s grave whenever he needs to?”

Eileen shook her head, her voice steady. “Grandma, it’s been so many years. He has a family now, a life of his own. What we need to do is help him move on, not keep feeding his sorrow, trapping him in the past, and denying him peace in his old age.”

Keith had a wife, children, and probably even grandchildren by now. His future should be filled with family gatherings, not endless pilgrimages to a grave that would never bring back what he lost.

Le sighed. “You’re right, Eileen. After you get things under control at the Vazquez Group, you can go back to Onnd if you want.”

Eileen hesitated. “What about you? Will youe to Onnd with me?”

Le shook her head. “I’m too old for such a journey. I’ll stay here, watching over your grandfather and Yalif.”

“Then let’s not discuss this now. The VQ Group needs my attention; I can’t leave yet.” Eileen’s heart grew heavy. She wasn’t putting things off, but the matters here still required some time to deal with.

After Dottie was finallyid to rest in the family cemetery, Le’s relief was palpable, and her smile brighter than it had been in years.
