Chapter 858

    ?Chapter 858:

She was the legitimate heir, for crying out loud, while Jessica was nothing but an illegitimate daughter.

As Bryan drafted a response, Eileen watched with anticipation.

“Marrying into the Dawson family isn’t going to be easy. We’re very particr about who joins our family. I only have one daughter, and if we were to marry, I’d expect to have more children. So, I need to be absolutely certain there are no gic health issues in your family.”

Rich families were obsessed with keeping their bloodlines pure, so pre-marital health checks were standard procedure. Bryan and Jessica weren’t anywhere near marriage, but Bryan’s message was loud and clear—he wanted to dig into Jessica’s family’s medical history. Eileen silently gave Bryan a thumbs-up.

But then, she realized something: “This will only lead to Conroy and Gianna getting physical examinations, not the paternity test we need.”

Jessica quickly replied, “I’m perfectly healthy, and I can get you my parents’ medical records. They’re both in great shape!”

“I’m afraid that’s not enough. If you’re serious about this, I’ll need blood samples from you, your parents, and any living rtives. I’ll have them tested myself. And I expect full disclosure about your parents’ identities. My family doesn’t associate with people with shady pasts,” Bryan responded.

Bryan put his phone down, a smug grin on his face. “She’ll get Conroy to tell me the truth and hand over his blood sample.”

Eileen was speechless. She had been ying along with Bryan and had agreed to his terms to do this, and all it took were a few words from him?

Feeling a bit down about the ‘fun’ night ahead, Eileen said, “Mr. Dawson, you’re a genius. Seriously.”

    Bryan waved off herpliment.

“Don’t distract me. I’ve got work to do.”

“I’ll be quiet,” Eileen said, smiling.

“I knew you had a better n the whole time. Doesn’t matter how good my ideas are, yours is always better.”

Bryan ignored her. Eileen continued, “Hey, it’s been a while since we went to the Vazquez Mansion. I told grandmother about Gabri thest time… Should I take Gabri back to see her today?”

“Sure,” Bryan replied. “If you block Jessica’s number. Out of sight, out of mind.” This was a clear threat. If Eileen dared to leave today, he would make sure her ns went down the drain.

    Eileen caved immediately.

“Can you at least go easy on me tonight? And maybe set a timer or something?”

    Bryan felt resigned.

“Why does it feel like punishment to you?”

Eileen bit her lip, unsure how to exin that she wasn’t exactly a marathon runner in the sex department.
