Chapter 812

    ?Chapter 812:

Amidst the preparations, Le presented Eileen with a stunning piece from the past—an exquisite dress that had once belonged to Eileen’s mother.

“This dress was for your mother’sing-of-age celebration, crafted at the steep price of more than twenty million dors. I believe it’llplement your elegance perfectly, and it fits you just right,” Le exined, her eyes twinkling with nostalgia.

The dress, ornately decorated with local folklore motifs and trimmed with fox fur, blended pristine white with vibrant red; it was strikingly beautiful.

As Eileen took in the dress’s details, she could easily picture how radiant her mother must have looked wearing it years ago. Le seemed reluctant to take her eyes off the garment, her fingers lingering on the fabric as she reminisced.

“Then I’ll wear it tonight,” Eileen said.

Le smiled warmly, her gaze affectionate. “You’ll outshine even your mother,” she said, patting Eileen’s shoulder with tears in her eyes.

Eileen sought to steer Le away from growing too nostalgic, so she shifted the conversation. “Have you met Kinsey’s wife yet?” she asked.

Le replied, “No, they’re just putting on a show to affirm their loyalty so that I don’t suspect Kinsey of marrying purely for business ties. His wife is merely a front—no need to do anything to her!” After a pause, she continued, “I’ve heard Kinsey will bring her here tonight. Don’t be deceived; they have their motives for this banquet.”

Le’s insights were sharper than Eileen’s.

Eileen nodded as she listened to Le. The Vazquez Mansion buzzed with activity, its ancient grandeur spruced up for the evening’s event.

Dolores, new to such opulence, clung to Kinsey’s side initially. With Kinsey preupied, he soon left her side amidst themotion, advising her to stay in a corner to avoid any trouble. Dolores snuck out her phone and texted Eileen, though her messages remained unanswered as Eileen was tied up with the guests. The influx of attendees was overwhelming, with numerous guests approaching Dolores, curious about her background and her connection to the Vazquez family.

Even though the news of the marriage was public, no one had seen Dolores before, highlighting her insignificance to the Vazquez family.

Knowing this, Dolores imed she was merely here to enjoy the event. After several ufortable encounters, she excused herself and stepped outside for some air.

That was when she spotted Julio, dressed sharply in a silver suit and a cashmere overcoat, making his way toward her. He narrowed his eyes as he noticed her.

Instinctively, Dolores turned to go in another direction. However, she wasn’t as quick as Julio, who approached swiftly, grasped her wrist, and ushered her to stand beside his car. The off-road vehicle’s frame was quite high, effectively concealing Dolores’ small figure. Dolores leaned against the car and looked up at Julio, who blocked her path.

“What are you doing?” she asked.

“I should be asking you the same question,” Julio responded, slipping a hand into his pocket and giving her a slight smile.

“You refused to be with me without status, and you didn’t even want our child. Have you done all that just to embroil yourself in the troubles of the Vazquez family?”

It was clear he understood her precarious position within the Vazquez family.
