Chapter 800:
“I don’t know. Didn’t she head home early?” Eileen sat up, puzzled.
“She hasn’te back,” Kinsey said in a low voice. “Do you remember Mr. Ferguson from the banquet? I suspect he might be involved in Dalores’ disappearance.”
Eileen suddenly made the connection and responded, “I have a friend in Onnd who knows Mr. Ferguson. I’ll reach out to him.”
After ending the call, Eileen rose from her bed and walked out of the bedroom. She then dialed Julio’s number. As soon as he answered, she asked directly, “Do you know where Dalores is?”
“I don’t know,” Julio replied. The background noise suggested he was in a noisy ce, possibly a bar.
Eileen didn’t probe further but said, “Dalores is in thin clothing and doesn’t have her phone. She could die if she spends the night outside in this weather.”
She had finished speaking when the call abruptly ended. She then texted Julio the address of her neighborhood, guessing that Dalores would likely try to return there. Given that Julio had left her somewhere, it shouldn’t be hard for him to trace her path back.
Despite her actions, Eileen remained uneasy and found it hard to fall asleep after returning to her bedroom. Bryan tried several times to take her phone away, but each time she managed to retrieve it while he was asleep.
Eventually, Bryan grew frustrated. He pinched her cheek and said, “How can you be so unruly? If you keep this up, how am I supposed to teach Gabri anything?”
“What?” Just as Eileen saw a short video from Julio showing Dalores getting into a taxi, providing some relief, she was caught off guard by Bryan’sment.

“What does my behavior have to do with you teaching Gabri?”
“If you don’t listen to me, she won’t either. You skipped the soup this morning, and she copied you. I told her twice, but she just pointed at you to stop,” Bryan replied.
Even though Gabri could only say a few words, her remarks were often sharp. Bryan found he couldn’t win arguments with her.
“Then just don’t serve me soup next time. If she doesn’t see it, she’ll assume I’ve had it,” Eileen countered.
Hearing this, Bryan was momentarily speechless, feeling a headacheing on. After a while, he said, “You think she’s as easy to fool as you?”
His tone, dripping with sarcasm, made Eileen roll her eyes. She retorted, “I don’t know about that, it seems she’s smarter than you.”
Gabri always had ways to make Bryan listen to her.
Eileen believed that whether Gabri had a good or bad temper didn’t depend on her. She knew Gabri was clearly spoiled by Bryan, but she was also spoiled by him.
After talking with Bryan for a while, Eileen turned around and drifted off to sleep.
At VQ Group,
Conroy believed that since Eileen knew VQ Group was part of the Vazquez family, he needed to involve her in thepany’s business in some capacity. He had spent the entire night deliberating and finally decided what he would let Eileen do.
The next morning, as soon as Eileen arrived at thepany with Gabri, Conroy quickly found a reason to summon her to his office.
