    The hard railing pressed lightly against Eileen’s waist. Brandon’s force felt as if it might break her.


    “Brandon, don’t kill her,” Jonathan said, rising from his seat and taking a few steps toward them.


    Consumed by his emotions, Brandon barely registered Jonathan’s words. His obsession with seizing the Apex Group had driven him to the brink of insanity. Since being ousted by the Dawson family, he had lived like a rat, scurrying through life without hope or direction.


    Brandon tightened his grip on Eileen’s neck, his voice cold and unyielding. “Will you sign the contracts or not?”


    Eileen gasped, her face reddening. The pain coursing through her body was nothingpared to the torment in her heart. Images of Bryan and Gabri shed through her mind.


    She hesitated, caught between the urge to fight back and the temptation to give up. But instinctively, she refused Brandon’s demands.


    Seeing the danger Eileen was in, Jonathan sprang into action. He dashed over and grabbed Brandon’s arm, trying desperately to pull him away, but his efforts were in vain.


    “Damn it! Let her go! Don’t kill her!” he shouted.


    The three of them wrestled near the railing, their movements frantic and chaotic. Meanwhile, Eileen’s bodyguards were overwhelmed and outnumbered by Jonathan’s men. They were soon subdued.


    Jonathan’s bodyguards then moved to help him, managing to pry Brandon off Eileen.


    Eileen’s weak body slid off the ss wall and fell to the floor.


    “Damn it! Why did I ever agree to work with you? If you kill her, what will I get from this?” Jonathan exhaled in relief as he saw that Eileen was still alive.


    Regaining hisposure, Brandon quickly responded, “Jonathan, she hasn’t signed the contracts yet. You promised me she would sign first, and then you’d deal with her!”


    “Can you really make her sign this way?” Jonathan said as he approached Eileen. He crouched beside her and grasped her wrist with a firm grip. “Here’s the deal, Eileen. You need to decide. Do you want to serve me in bed, or do you want to serve all these people?”


    Jonathan grabbed Eileen’s wrist and dragged her slightly across the floor. Her long ck hair syed out around her like a dark halo.


    Jonathan caught a flicker of hatred in her eyes.


    He gave her face a couple of light ps and said, “I’m dying to know—how is Bryan doing now? Is he dead or alive? You’re so stubborn. Do you really think Bryan cane to your rescue?”


    Eileen’s cheeks flushed red from the ps, but she didn’t look scared. “Even if he can’t save me, you still won’t be able toy a finger on me. You’ll just have to wait until I’m dead!”


    “You are quite brave,” Jonathan chuckled. “But what does it matter? Bryan is noting back. Don’t you just want to be my woman? It’s tough for a widow like you to survive in this world.”
