?Chapter 667:
The call was answered immediately, and Christos’s voice came through. “Eileen, why are you calling me sote? Aren’t you worried your fiancé will be upset if he finds out about this?”
“Cut the crap. What are you trying to do?” The veins on Eileen’s forehead bulged. She had run out of patience with Christos. If he had been there in person, she might have struck him.
“Eileen, you’re being too aggressive. Have you forgotten that I helped you steal those items from Brandon? How can you treat me like this?” Christos said.
“Enough!” Eileen raised her voice. “This is about saving a life. I don’t want to waste time with your games. You helped once, and I will repay that favor. You and Coen are not the same. I don’t hold a son responsible for his father’s debts. But if you’re truly a good person, give me the antidote directly. If not, don’t test my patience.” Her voice was icy.
There was a brief silence on the other end before Christos spoke in a normal tone. “I mean it. As long as you don’t marry him, I—”
Eileen didn’t wait for him to finish. She hung up the phone, turned, and walked back to her room.
Eileen knew people like Christos were unpredictable. His intentions could shift at any moment, and it seemed like he was just toying with her.
Simrly, Denise had imed she would sever ties with her if she received a house, but there was still a chance she could cause further trouble and continue to entangle herself with her.
Eileen was determined to marry Bryan.
The moonlight cast a soft glow over the dark night.
Eileeny in bed but remained awake throughout the night. Around five in the morning, the makeup artist arrived, and Eileen went downstairs to get ready.
About an hourter, Eileen donned her wedding dress. Her long ck hair was styled elegantly, and her makeup entuated her stunning features.
Gabri, too, was dressed in a white gown, chosen by both Eileen and Bryan. Usually quiet and reserved, Gabri clung to Eileen today and wouldn’t let go. She reacted defensively to anyone who approached, refusing to let anyone touch her.
When Bryan arrived, the crowd parted for him as he walked toward Eileen and Gabri, holding a bouquet in hand. He smiled warmly at them.
As Bryan extended the flowers to Eileen, Gabri suddenly screamed. She stood on Eileen’s legs, shielding her with both hands, looking at Bryan.
Bryan’s smile froze in ce.
The room fell into an awkward silence.
Everyone knew about Bryan’s mobility issues, so pranks were off-limits. Yet, no one had anticipated that the day’s troublemaker would be the typically angelic Gabri.
Josue snickered and said, “You make my goddaughter cry, and you’ll have the whole room to answer to.”
Bryan scanned the room, seeing everyone’s protective gaze on Gabri. Eileen, especially, let Gabri cling to her without a word, watching Bryan with a yful glint in her eye.
