?Chapter 543:
Only Josue and Jacob were privy to the fact that he had been injected with the drug.
Bryan had no ns to share that information with others. As he reached his car, he instructed, “Ensure Mr. Wright thoroughly details Coen’s departure ns. And book me a flight ticket to Linder Land for the day before Coen leaves.”
He then swung open the car door, buckled his seatbelt, and drove off.
Raymond, left standing there, was perplexed. Was Bryan heading to Linder Land to intercept Coen?
But without support from Dewitt’s people, venturing there alone seemed futile.
Questions swirled in Raymond’s mind, yet he was unable to grasp Bryan’s true motives and had no choice but to follow the order.
The night stretched long, and the chill ofte autumn was piercing.
Eileen felt the cold biting at her limbs, despite holding Gabri close for warmth.
Any slight movement to leave Gabri would startle her awake, so Eileen could only hold Gabri tightly.
Bryany beside Eileen, allowing her to rest against his chest.
His heartbeat resonated strong and clear in Eileen’s ear, providing aforting, rhythmic backdrop.
As the night deepened, Gabri eventually settled into a deeper sleep, but Eileen only found rest intermittently.
It wasn’t until Bryan pulled her closer into his arms that she finally felt secure.
Enclosed in his embrace, she drifted off to sleep.

Come morning, sharp cries startled Eileen awake.
She quickly scooped Gabri into her arms, soothing her with gentle words. “Good girl, Mommy’s here; don’t be scared.”
At that moment, Bryan tried to sit up but felt one of his arms weak and numb. He copsed back onto the bed with a muffled thud, the sound obscured by Gabri’s continuing cries.
Eileen, oblivious to Bryan’s situation, continued soothing Gabri.
Bryan nced at his numb arm and frowned.
His fingerscked any feeling, and despite his efforts, his army immobile on the bed.
“What’s wrong?” Eileen, having calmed Gabri slightly, turned her attention to Bryan.
Bryan met her gaze. After a pause, he let out a light chuckle. “I’ve been holding you all night, and now my arm’spletely numb.”
“I’ll give it a rub after I settle Gabri down,” Eileen said, fetching Gabri’s beloved toy. Gabri, her tears drying, took the toy with mild interest but stopped crying.
Eileen gently ced Gabri in Bryan’s embrace and sat beside him, her cool fingertips beginning to massage the feeling back into Bryan’s numb arm.
