    After a brief silence, Bryan massaged the bridge of his nose and instructed coldly, “Keep an eye on them, and let me know immediately if anything happens.”

    Josue swore under his breath and booked a flight back to Onnd, determined to make Bryan pay by giving Gabri a big kiss right in front of him.


    Back in control of Apex Group, Bryan dismissed Z first. The notice had reached her even before Bryan came to his office.


    When Z got the news, she was summoned by Kian to a bar tucked away in an alley—a ce not frequented just for casual drinks.


    Among a crowd of shabbily dressed men and women, Kian stood out, almost unrecognizable to Z.


    As they sat there, Z quickly realized that Kian hadn’t invited her just to mingle with others, but to keep himpany.


    “The women here are dirtier than you,” Kian whispered to Z. “Though I’ve found plenty of men for you, at least they’re clean.”


    He couldn’t say the same for the crowd around them.


    Z gritted her teeth and retorted, “Just because someone is disease-free doesn’t make them clean. Kian, you’re a bastard!”

    Kian scoffed and, instead of sipping his wine, abruptly drew her close, pushing a ss of wine toward her lips. The ss struck Z’s teeth sharply, causing a painful jolt.


    “I’m a bastard? At least I’m not as cruel as you. Stop pretending you’re so pure and noble,” Kian said.


    Z cursed through clenched teeth. “Kian, if I had known this was your true nature, I would have severed ties with you long ago. Your so-called affection for me is an insult!”


    Kian’s face darkened. “An insult, you say? Let’s see how low you really are in front of me. Drink this now!”


    Z had no choice but toply.


    Kian had incriminating videos of her on his phone. Any resistance from her, and he would show them to everyone in the bar for free…
