?Chapter 1418:
The moment Alexander looked at the neer, he could tell right away that this guy had the aura of a psychologist. “You’re here to dig up Dani’s weaknesses, aren’t you?”
Arthur gave only a silent smile, saying nothing.
Without another word, Alexander pulled out a burner phone, slipped in a fresh SIM card, and typed out a warning to Dani.
“Hamilton sent a behavioral analyst to sniff out your weaknesses. Be on guard.”
After hitting send, Alexander destroyed the SIM card.
Dani checked the message, her face remaining calm.
Cedric immediately noticed. “Is something wrong?”
Dani passed him the phone, letting him read for himself.
Cedric’s expression tightened as he nced over at Niks and Damon. “Should I ask them to leave?”
Dani shook her head and put away the phone in her pocket. “No need. Let’s just keep our eyes open and see how things y out.”
Cedric still looked uneasy. “Who sent the tip-off?”
Dani nced at the nk number and shrugged. “No idea. The number’s already been shut off.”
Cedric frowned while slipping the phone out of Dani’s pocket, not realizing how close he was getting. Dani looked up, catching his eyes. Cedric turned his head slightly, holding the phone between them, their gazes locking at just a breath’s distance.
The space between them felt electric. So near, Dani could even make out the tiny details on Cedric’s skin. “Cedric…”
Before she could finish, Cedric leaned forward and pressed a soft kiss on her lips.
Dani froze, caughtpletely off guard.

“Sorry, I acted on impulse,” Cedric muttered, straightening up and ncing down at the phone like nothing unusual had happened.
Dani caught the faint pink tint spreading across Cedric’s ears. She couldn’t help but smile softly.
Cedric punched in the number from thetest message, but the call wouldn’t go through. He frowned, muttering, “Why send a message and then switch the phone off?”
In the living room, Damon had been watching Dani the whole time, caught in a swirl of feelings. When he saw Cedric’s unexpected kiss, he was taken aback. Even though Dani and Cedric were together, Damon had never seen anything so personal between them before.
Not even once.
The kiss hit him like a surprise.
He stood there for a long time, then muttered bitterly, “Cedric doesn’t deserve Dani.”
Damon didn’t have time to stew. He headed straight to Niks. “Niks, Dad wants me to dig up Dani’s weaknesses. What’s the n?”
Niks stopped working on his project, considering the question. “What weaknesses?” he asked.
