Chapter 1413

    ?Chapter 1413:

That was the hidden weakness in Dani’s otherwise unbreakable armor.

Meanwhile, Hamilton gazed out through the expansive window of his office, eyes narrowed against the re as he tracked Alexander’s brisk descent down the building’s steps.

He turned sharply to his secretary. “Keep Alexander under round-the-clock watch. Tap every call he makes, and pay special attention to anything rted to Dani’s weakness. And I want a seasoned private investigator digging into Dani’s entire history. When you’ve gathered everything, hand it all over to a skilled psychologist. I want a precise reading on Dani’s true weakness.”

Hamilton was in the middle of his investigation when he decided to call Damon. His only purpose was to get him home and find out if he knew anything about Dani’s vulnerabilities.

Just like before, Damon picked up the phone without even ncing at the screen. From the other side, Hamilton could hear Damon nagging Dani like an annoying puppy. “Come on, just one more game! Please! I refuse to ept that I lost!”

Dani’s voice remained calm and detached, a sharp contrast to Damon’s excitement. “I’m about to head into a bidding meeting. I don’t have time for this.”

“I’lle with you. I know plenty of people in Discoll, and I can make sure no onepetes against you. Please, just one more game!” Damon pleaded.

Hamilton squeezed his eyes shut, already picturing his son’s shameless persistence. His fury boiled over. This was an absolute nightmare! What sort of son had he brought up?

Before Hamilton could even shout, Damon hung up after saying, “I’m busy right now.” Apparently, Damon had mistaken him for one of his friends.

Hamilton took a long breath, struggling to keep his fury in check. As he walked down the stairs, Alexander was waiting below and greeted him with respect. “Mr. McCoy.”

Hamilton gave a simple nod. While they made their way to the bidding meeting, Hamilton asked Alexander again, “Did you remember anything about Dani’s weaknesses?”

Alexander paused for a moment before he answered, “Nothing concrete, but she might be afraid of heights.”

Hamilton didn’t press the issue any further. He had already reviewed all of Dani’s details the day before and knew her fear of heights came from her mother’s death. Still, Hamilton doubted that was Dani’s real weakness, especially since he’d seen her fly a ne himself.

How could someone terrified of heights take control of a ne?

Hamilton gave a casual nod to Alexander’s answer. Just as he was about to open the car door, Dani and her group pulled up alongside them.

He heard Damon whining to Dani, “When we get back, you have to y one more game with me. I swear, if you don’t, I won’t find peace!”

At that moment, Hamilton felt his own peace slipping away. Looking through the ss, he spotted Dani standing up front with Cedric by her side. Behind them were Niks and Damon, with Carol following behind. While Damon begged, Dani leaned toward Cedric to say something quietly. Niks gazed thoughtfully at Dani’s profile, clearly deep in contemtion.

Irritation prickled Hamilton’s skin as he watched, while Alexander’s eyes narrowed, his anger simmering beneath the surface. Why was it that whenever a member of the Hamilton family approached Dani, she never pushed them away? Why did it feel impossible for him to even get a word in?
