"Uncle Ss, what do we do next?" Gideon couldn''t bring himself to say he didn''t want to go through with the wedding anymore, so he just let Ss take the lead.


    Ss nced over at Calliope, clearly seeking her opinion.


    "Take her to the hospital," Calliope suggested calmly. "The wedding has wrapped up, and the guests are starting to leave. Let''s call it a day."


    With that, Calliope stood up, ready to address the crowd.


    "I''ll go have a word," she said, making her way to the stage.


    Gideon watched her, his gaze intense. Even framed in such a situation, Calliope maintained herposure. She had been steps ahead all along, and he had never realized just how clever she was. He truly had been in the dark.


    Calliope took her ce on the stage, and the room fell silent as all eyes turned to her.


    "Apologies for the unexpected drama today," she began. "On behalf of the Baker family, I''d like to rify a few things."


    The guests remained quiet, their attention fixed on Calliope.


    Meanwhile, Gideon approached Yvette, who was sitting off to the side. He didn''t offer her a hand up, leaving her to stand on her own.


    "Gideon... do you still want me?" Yvette asked, her voice trembling with uncertainty. "What did Grandpa say?"


    Yvette nced nervously at Calliope on stage, her anxiety growing.


    "If you don''t want to end up in worse shape, you should head to the hospital," Gideon replied coldly. "Or do you want to copse right here?"


    Yvette fell silent, understanding the gravity of his words. She followed Gideon as


    they left the ballroom, aware of the many eyes on them.


    Back on stage, Calliope was exining Yvette''s actions, attributing them to jealousy. She recounted how she had seen Yvette at the hospital and noticed her pregnancyplications. Although she hadn''t expected Yvette to go to such lengths, she had prepared a little precaution: a tiny camera embedded in her ne.


    Calliope had even tried to warn Yvette when she was about to make her move,


    but Yvette hadn''t listened, leading to this unfortunate situation.


    With aposed demeanor, Calliope spoke at length, making sure to distance Yvette''s behavior from the Baker family.


    "Despite Ms. Jansen''s actions, she is still the woman my nephew cares for, his chosen partner, and thus I won''t hold this against her."


    "Tonight was certainly startling for everyone, so we''d like to present each of you with a gift," she continued. "The food on the tables might have gone cold, and I''ll ensure the hotel prepares fresh dishes. You came here in good spirits, and we want you to leave just as happy and well-fed."


    Calliope''s words were poised and graceful, and her presencemanding.


    The audience listened quietly, captivated by her speech.


    "She truly is Ss''s match, handling things so adeptly," someone whispered in the crowd.


    "Gideon really isn''t on her level at all."


    "Bet he''s regretting everything now. I heard Ss was considering passing the Baker Group to Gideon, grooming him for leadership. After this fiasco, I bet he''s


    reconsidering."
