The Jewell family sat tensely in the living room, the air thick with usation and regret.


    Ulysses nced up at Horatio, his jaw clenched. "Horatio, you know Callie''s the one who helped you walk again. Are you really going to side with Valerian on this? Going along with his n to drag her name through the mud in front of the whole world?"


    He looked around the room, his voice cracking a little. "Aren''t we just stabbing her in the back after everything she''s done for us? Callie''s always been good to us. Why are we treating her like this?"

    Ulysses pressed on. "Callie might not be blood, but she grew up right beside us! Doesn''t that count for something? All these years, don''t you feel anything?"


    "She''s helped you up, not once but twice! The first time, you always thought it was Lisette who did it, but Callie never said a word to correct you. In fact, it was Lisette who kept lying to all of us, wasn''t it? Horatio, doesn''t this make you feel the least bit guilty?"
