?Chapter 1018:

He let out a loud, mockingugh and continued, his voice dripping with sarcasm. “Ken, so you’re really with this divorced woman? How disgusting— Ahh!”

Before Hoyt could finish, scalding coffee sshed onto his head.

Ken loomed above him, his presence overpowering.

“If you want to die, feel free to stick around and keep testing your luck,” he warned.

Ken’s fingers were long and graceful. As he poured the coffee, his expression remained unreadable, but that cold demeanor was enough to send a chill down anyone’s spine. It was clear to everyone that Ken was beyond angry.

His limits? His grandmother and Allison.

“You… you’re out of your mind!” Hoyt yelled, his voice filled with agony from the burn.

He scrambled off the couch, frantically trying to wipe the coffee off with tissues.

The hot liquid dripped from his head down to his face, making him lookpletely ridiculous.

“Jim, are you all blind? Get me a towel, quick!” he shouted.

Instead, Allison tossed a cleaning cloth right at his face.

“Hoyt, you really think the Lloyd family cares about what you say?” she asked with a sneer.

She stood close to Ken, her shoulder brushing against his.

“I like doing nice things, so here’s a cloth for you. After all, we clean trash with a cloth,” she added coldly.

Allison could feel the dangerous energy radiating from Ken.

So, she gently took his hand, intertwining their fingers.

As their hands met, the fierce anger in Ken’s eyes slowly faded.

    His tone remained ice-cold.

“Take the cloth and get out,” Ken said. “This is thest bit of mercy you’ll get from me.” He was just like Allison. When it came to people they couldn’t stand, neither of them showed any mercy.

Jim, on the other hand, was visibly shaken.

“Mr. Hoyt Lloyd, please leave,” he urged.

He wasn’t worried about Hoyt causing trouble. What concerned him was that if Ken lost his temper, he might actually harm Hoyt. After all, Jim had heard about Hoyt’s car ident, and it was clear Ken had been involved.

He couldn’t understand why Hoyt had the nerve to show up here.

“Fine, so none of you are going to listen to me?” Hoyt snapped, his voice sharp.

He red at everyone in the room. While drying himself with a handkerchief, he stubbornly refused to leave. After all, today was the day Brook would return to the country. If there were no dys, Brook would be at the Lloyd mansion soon.

“It’s alright. I’m the bigger person. I won’t hold this against you,” Hoyt said with a forced smile.
