Chapter 1014

    ?Chapter 1014:

“If you say another foul word, it won’t just be your jaw that gets broken,” Ken’s voice was cold and firm. “The choice is now yours. You can stay here and be hunted down, or you can head to Afrnd to do hardbor,” he said, making it clear. His words seemed to steer them.

“If I were in your shoes, I’d pick Afrnd, though it’s far away. At least there, you could hide and save your life. Plus, you’d get a job with a hundreds-of-thousands-dor sry every year,” he added.

But hidden in his words was a deadly trap. Ken might offer them a job with a hundreds-of-thousands-dor sry a year, but the catch was they had to survive long enough to get it. Once they reached Afrnd, a natural disaster could strike soon, and they might not make it. Only those driven by greed would fall for such a dangerous offer.

Troy’s eyes lit up when he heard this, though he remained cautious.

“Mr. Lloyd, is this well-paid sry for real?” Troy asked, still doubtful.

“Of course, it’s real,” Ken replied. “You can sign a contract if you don’t believe me.”

“How long will we have to stay there?” Troy asked.

    “Five years,” Ken answered.

At this, Troy blinked, his greed taking over again. He barely even noticed his wife’s broken jaw, his mind fixated on the idea of such a good job. With a contract in ce, Troy wouldn’t have to worry about them breaking their word.

“Mr. Lloyd, it’s a deal,” Troy said, agreeing.

“Good,” Ken replied. “I’ll have someone draw up the contract. You’ll be heading to Afrnd soon.”

Ken raised his hand. At his signal, Sherman ordered his people to escort the Hayes family out.

“Now, the cleanup is your responsibility,” Allison said, ncing at Ken. She took Amya’s arm and led her out. “We’ll head to the hospital first. We’ll talk on the pher.”

Ken nodded. “I’ve got it covered.”

Though Ken hated to part with Allison, he understood she had to focus on Amya’s needs first.

Soon, Allison drove Amya to the hospital.

“Stay here and rest up. Don’t try to run off again,” Allison said. “The main software in Hacker’s World still isn’t fixed. I’m waiting for you to return and take care of it.”

Amya forced a smile and nodded. “Allison, I really can’t thank you enough.”

Allison gave her shoulder a light pat. “It’s nothing. It’s all in the past now.”

They would all have bright futures ahead, free from the control of their original families.

Amya, a little shy, spoke up. “Allison, honestly, there’s nothing wrong with me.”
