?Chapter 1013:
“Is this okay?” Troy asked, his voice full of frustration, as he reluctantly handed over the document.
Inside, he was cursing non-stop, swearing that he would find a way to get back at Amyater. She was his cash cow, after all. Yet, it seemed like Allison could read his mind.
“Once you sign this, you both need to cut all ties with Amya,” she said coldly. She took the papers back and turned her gaze toward Ken. “Mr. Lloyd, perhaps you have some work for them?” she asked with a smile.
Only Ken knew that Allison was setting up another trap. With a sweet smile, she added, “We’re just so kind-hearted, we can’t let them keep owing others. We should lend a hand when we can.”
When Troy and Mindy heard that, they thought she was genuinely trying to help them make some money. Immediately, Troy and Mindy broke into wide smiles.
“Oh, Ms. rke, you’re too generous,” Troy said.
“Yes, just put us in a manager’s position at yourpany. We don’t need a big sry,” Mindy added eagerly.
They were already imagining themselves working at the Lloyd Group. But Amya felt a wave of difort. She knew her parents wouldn’t give up without a fight. Just as she was about to speak up, Allison gave her a calm, reassuring nce. Amya then realized that her boss wasn’t foolish enough to make such a mistake. She remembered how Allison had outsmarted Verruckt back in Fleeinnd.
Ken let out a mockingugh.
“Fine, I’ll do what you say, Allison,” he said, his tone deep and nonchnt. “Sherman, send them to the coal mines in Afrnd. We’re short on hands over there.” Ken ordered.
Sherman struggled to keep fromughing at themand.
“Yes, Mr. Lloyd,” he replied, trying to stay serious.
He understood that both Allison and Ken were the type to ruin someone without a second thought. Troy and Mindy stood frozen, speechless.
“A-Africa?”
Troy quickly moved back, shaking his head in refusal. “No need! We don’t want to go to such a distant ce!” he said.
Mindy was equally shocked. “Mr. Lloyd, Ms. rke, are you serious?” she asked. She had no desire to be sent to Afrnd to do hardbor.
Allison chuckled. “If you don’t want to go, that’s perfectly fine. But, the loan sharks will be here soon. When they arrive, you won’t just have broken legs. You see, I’ve already told the police that you both helped us wipe out Shadow Nine. So, do you think the remaining criminals will just let that slide?”
With every word Allison spoke, Troy and Mindy’s faces turned pale.
“You’re a lunatic!” Mindy was ready tosh out with a curse.
But before she could finish, Sherman struck her, breaking her jaw. The sound was sharp and quick.
