Chapter 1643

    ?Chapter 1643:

“Enough! Just shut up!” Holley snapped, her voice trembling with rage. “If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t be in this mess! This is all your doing!”

Sarai scoffed, her toneced with contempt. “Oh, please, ming me? That’s rich! Why did you even start down this path? You only have yourself to me for leaving me with all this leverage. You could have told the truth to Belinda and spared yourself from my threats!”<fn507c> Th? link to the orig?n of this information r?sts ?n F?nd-Novel</fn507c>

“Sarai!” Holley inhaled sharply, her tone seething with fury as she shot back. Then her voice took on a menacing edge. “Are you sure you want to keep pushing me? Have you considered the consequences? No matter what happens, I’ve got Belinda’s father in my corner. What do you have anyway?”

Holley’s words hit like a p, leaving Sarai momentarily speechless.

Holley continued, “That’s right, Sarai. You never should’ve crossed me or put your faith in Belinda and Kenia. I’m actually the one who can help you. With Belinda’s father behind me, we might not have convinced Belinda to forgive you, but sending you back to Owathe secretly would have been simple. But now? You’ve burned that bridge. From this moment on, Sarai, there will be no more ties between your family and mine!”

With that, Holley hung up before Sarai could respond.

Sarai stood frozen, her lips pressed tightly together, her face a storm of conflicting emotions—anger, regret, and sinking despair. Inside, she felt trapped and suffocated by her powerlessness.

Whether it was Belinda or Holley, both held her in their grip, and the realization of that was unbearable.

Holley’s final words echoed in her mind, stinging with bitter regret. Maybe seeking Belinda’s help had been a mistake. She hadn’t anticipated that Belinda and Kenia would be so cruel.

The hope of reiming her former life seemed to slip further away.

Just then, her phone rang, snapping her out of her thoughts.

ncing at the screen, she saw an unfamiliar number. Her brow furrowed as she hesitated for a moment, then answered. “Hello?”

“Sarai, have you made up your mind yet?”

At the other end of the call, a robotic, artificially distorted voice greeted Sarai, unmistakably modified by some device.

“Who’s this?” Sarai inquired, her tone cautious.

The voice responded coolly, “I’ve already said, my identity isn’t important. What matters is that I can assist you. Do you really want to spend your life waiting tables? Don’t you harbor any bitterness toward Belinda?”

The words struck a nerve, and Sarai’s breaths grew heavier, her chest tightening.

With a sharp, bitterugh, she shot back, “So what if I’m unhappy with my situation? What can you possibly offer me? Can you restore the life I once had? Can you make the man I love mine?”

A prolonged silence followed her words. Then, the voice returned, steady and deliberate.

“Letting you get your old life back? That’s entirely possible. As for making the man you want love you, that’s no issue, either. If Belinda were out of the picture, the man you’re after might just be yours. But as long as Belinda’s around, you’ll never stand a chance to have the man you want.”
