"What''s going on?" Ronald asked, his voice calm.


    "Susanna has been with Hull this whole time! Why didn''t you tell me? What did I do in a past life to deserve a brother like you? I''m so mad I could scream!" Yvonne''s voice cracked with emotion.


    "Do you have any idea how much I''ve been suffering? I was terrified that Hull would end his partnership with you because Susanna disappeared on my watch. I was worried I had created a powerful enemy for you because of my carelessness. I went after ck Gate like a madwoman, and you just sat back and watched! You watched me act like a lunatic, turning ck Gate upside down!"


    "You knew she was with him. You knew the whole time, and you didn''t say a word!" "Who''s your family, him or me?"


    Yvonne was at her breaking point, her words tumbling out in a torrent of anger and betrayal.


    Ronald remained silent.


    "Do you just enjoy watching me lose my mind? Am I even your real sister?" she demanded, her voice thick with unshed tears.


    She was furious, but beneath the anger was a deep well of hurt. She had been so stressed, so anxious, and he had known the truth all along. She had risked everything to go up against ck Gate, and for what?


    For her brother to know that the person she was looking for was safe and sound with his closest ally.

    "Some brother you are," she spat.


    Yvonne was beyond reason, her voice raw with fury.


    "Where''s Xander?" Ronald asked.


    "Why are you asking about Xander? You messed up, and now you want to me


    him? What does he owe you?" The question only fueled her rage.


    Across from her, Xander''s eyes lit up. She was defending him to Ronald.


    "Put Xander on the phone," Ronald said, his tone firm.


    "No! Why should I? You think Xander owes you an exnation for what you did to me? Ronald, you..."


    "Yvonne!" Ronald''s sharp tone cut her off.


    His stern voice only made her angrier. "Don''t you raise your voice at me! You have no right to yell at me!"


    "You won''t even apologize, and now


    you''re yelling at me!" Tears


    streamed down her face. She rarely ebut Ronald had managed t push her past her limit.


    "You want an apology for your own stupidity?" Ronald said coldly.


    "What? Did you hear what you just said? You''re calling me stupid?" She couldn''t believe it.


    Susanna''s mother was in the hands of ck Gate. Susanna disappears at the same time. Of course her first suspect was ck Gate. It w?sn''t just a suspicion; it was the only logical conclusion. How did that make her stupid?


    "Ronald, you are unbelievable!" Yvonne screamed into the phone. But her words were met with the dial tone. He had hung up on her. Yvonne stared at her phone in disbelief.


    "He hung up on me? Hey! He actually hung up on me! How could he hang up on me? He didn''t even apologize!" she cried out, her voice a mixture of


    anger and despair.
