Chapter 919

Xander''s expression was grim. He wasn''t happy about this either.

Yvonne was so furious her whole body ached. She felt a sharp pain in her side.

Xander took a sip of water. "Still want those hot wings?" he asked.

    Yvonne''s jaw tightened. "Yes. Absolutely."

She said it through gritted teeth, as if she were nning to cook Hull himself. And in her mind, that''s exactly what she was doing.

In her rage, Yvonne ordered enough food to feed an army.

After the waiter left, she downed arge ss of water. "Seriously, how can someone be so shameless? I''m pretty sure I called him about this, right?" she fumed.

    Xander nodded. "You did."

He remembered it well. He had suspected from the beginning that Hull was behind Susanna''s disappearance, so he had urged Yvonne to call and ask. And what had Hull said then?

Nothing. He had simply intimidated her with his cold, dangerous aura until she backed down. She had been terrified.

"Damn it! If I wasn''t so worried about his rtionship with my brother, I would never have put up with this crap!" The more she thought about it, the angrier she got. Could someone please exin what was going on?

Susanna had been taken by Hull. And yet, she had spent thest few weeks waging war on ck Gate to get her back. ck Gate! ck Gate...

    Yvonne''s mind short-circuited.

"She was with Hull the whole time! What the hell was all this about?" she eximed.

She was going to lose her mind. She chugged another ss of water, but it did nothing to quench the fire raging inside her.

"I told you so, but you wouldn''t listen," Xander reminded her gently.

Yvonne deted. He was right. She hadn''t listened. In her mind, the only person capable of such a cruel trick was Dan. Anything bad that happened to her, she automatically med him.

    But this...

"I told you, but you didn''t believe me," Xander repeated, his voice soft.

That included the fact that he had slept with her. She hadn''t believed that either.

Yvonne felt a pang of guilt. "It''s just that Dan is such a scumbag in my eyes!" she defended herself. The man had faked his own death, for crying out loud Was there anything he wouldn''t do? And then there was his recent stunt in Ferrond, targeting the Quinn family. She had dealt with it quietly, without telling Ronald, but it only solidified her belief that Dan was a lost cause. He had shown no regard for their past. So why should she?

"Your brother probably knew about this too," Xander said.

    Yvonne froze.

    What? Ronald knew?

She was already on the verge of a breakdown. Xander''s words pushed her over the edge. A murderous ra welled up inside her content.

She snatched her phone and dialed Ronald''s number.

He must have been busy, because he didn''t pick up until thest ring.

"Thinking ofing home?" he asked before she could say a word.

"Are you even my brother?" she shot back.

    Silence.

Before Ronald could respond, Yvonne unleashed her fury. "You! Ronald Quinn! How

could you do this to your own sister?"
