Chapter 1372

    ?Chapter 1372:

Her wide, intelligent eyes sparkled with mischief, as if she might get up to something at any second, but she never caused trouble. Somehow, without ever being told, she just knew not to disturb her mother’s work. And when theptop…

Finally, when theptop was closed, Nana would eagerly scoop up her toys and bring them over, ready to share her world with Madisyn—so attentive, so thoughtful.

It amazed Madisyn. Even though Nana was still too young to speak in full sentences, there was already a depth to her that many older childrencked.

Motherhood had changed Madisyn in ways she never expected. She had never been one to dwell on things too deeply before, but after having Nana, she found herself noticing details she once would have overlooked.

Phrases like “early sess can lead to burnout” and “too much intelligence can be a burden” began to gnaw at her.

Her worries reached their peak one afternoon when two-and-a-half-year-old Nana toddled into the room, clutching a stack of medical notes from Madisyn’s study, and asked Madisyn to read them for her.

That was when Madisyn made up her mind—her daughter needed to experience the simple joys of childhood. Determined to let Nana be a child for as long as possible, she started taking her out more, making sure she had plenty of time to y with kids her own age.

Johns Manor quickly became one of their favorite spots, where Nana often yed with Sunny, Susan’s son. The change was immediate. With a ymate by her side, Nana grew more cheerful, more yful, more like the little girl she was meant to be.

As the childrenughed and yed, Madisyn and Susan would sit nearby, chatting about everything from motherhood to theirtest interests, exchanging tips and tricks on raising little ones.

Meanwhile, Milly and Howard, along with Evie and Waylon, had also settled into their own marriages. They hadn’t had children yet, but life had a way of unfolding in its own time.

One quiet afternoon, Madisyn was at the piano, cradling Nana in herp as she yed a soft, heartfelt melody. Just as she finished, her phone rang.

It was Evie. The excitement in her voice was unmistakable.

“Madisyn! I just got back from a check-up—I’m pregnant! I’m going to be a mom, just like you!”

Madisyn’s heart swelled with happiness. She knew how much this meant to Evie. Losing her parents at a young age had left a void in her life, and no amount of love from her family had ever truly filled it. Now, she could finally build her own warm, loving family.

    “Evie, that’s wonderful news!”

Having been through it all herself, Madisyn wasted no time offering Evie a few words of advice—things to watch out for, things to be mindful of. She even rmended the professional team Andrew had arranged for her during her own pregnancy.

As she hung up the phone, three-year-old Nana looked up at her with wide, curious eyes. With an innocent smile, she asked in her soft, sweet voice, “Mommy, is Auntie Evie going to have a baby?”

Madisyn pressed a gentle kiss to her daughter’s chubby cheek. “That’s right, sweetheart. Did you hear Mommy’s conversation? You’re going to have another cousin to y with soon! Are you happy?”

    “Yes!”
