Chapter 1371

    ?Chapter 1371:

She nced at her daughter, concern creeping into her voice. “Is something wrong with her?”

Andrew shook his head, his tone carrying a hint of frustration. “She’s perfectly fine. It’s the people around her who aren’t.”

Madisyn’s confusion deepened. “What do you mean?”

Instead of answering right away, Andrew leaned in, resting his head lightly on her shoulder. His voice dropped to a quiet murmur, ced with irritation. “Our daughter is too perfect. I barely let them take a look at her, and they’re already talking about her marriage. Norton even had the audacity to suggest an arranged marriage between Nana and his unborn son.”

    Madisyn blinked. “Wait… what?”

For a brief second, instinct took over, and she pulled Nana closer to her chest, as if shielding her from the absurdity of it all. Then, realizing her reaction, she let out a small sigh, feeling amused.

“She’s barely a month old, Andrew,” she said with a light chuckle. “We’ll deal with the future when ites.”

She hadn’t thought much about their daughter’s future. All she wanted was to savor each moment, ensuring Nana grew up safe, happy, and loved.

Now, Madisyn couldn’t help but picture the idea of arranging a marriage for Nana. The thought flickered in her mind for a moment before she quickly pushed it away.

Nana’s life was her own. As parents, she and Andrew could shield her, nurture her, and guide her along the way, but they had no right to dictate her future.

If fate had someone in store for their daughter, then destiny would weave its own course. Forcing an “arranged marriage” on two children would only confine their futures and strip them of their choices.

Madisyn voiced her thoughts to Andrew, and he agreed without hesitation.

After all, their own love had bloomed naturally, a bond formed through attraction and circumstance—not because of the long-standing agreement between the Klein and Johns families.

If anything, that old engagement had been nothing but a thorn in Andrew’s side before Madisyn had even returned to the Johns family.

As a father, he had no intention of controlling his daughter’s future. He would set boundaries to keep her safe, but beyond that, she was free to carve her own path.

With their views perfectly aligned, they turned their attention back to the joyous asion at hand. Madisyn carried Nana in her arms, pleting the festivities for their daughter’s one-month celebration. After the event, Madisyn found herself with more time to spend with Nana, savoring every precious moment.

Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months. Nana went from lying still to rolling over, from crawling to wobbling on tiny feet before finally walking upright.

Even though Andrew’s workload remained just as demanding, he made it a priority to be there—sharing in their everyday moments, watching their daughter grow, filling their home with warmth andughter.

As the years passed, Madisyn realized that ine’s words had been true—Nana was a thoughtful child.

From the very beginning, she had never been a difficult child, never a source of worry for Madisyn or the nannies who helped care for her. Whenever Madisyn worked from home, Nana would y quietly nearby.
