    Chapter 1- A New Alpha


    Alexander''s POV


    Today is the first day of the trials and I have to fight against the alphas around my country. That would


    be easy for me but judging by the look on their faces, the smug looks directly aimed at me, I''d say


    these men have no idea what I''m capable off and it will be fun to see the shocked look on their faces.


    They think I''m a product of the weak alpha and the weak pack, but oh how they are wrong. My pack is


    about to change shape, something nobody is ready for.


    The easy part is fighting but the not so easy part is how every unmated shewolf in my pack thinks I''d


    pick one of them as my luna.


    The number of times I have to chase a shewolf out of my bed since bing alpha, one would''ve lost


    count by now but I haven''t. 12 females have made it pretty clear they want to be my chosen mates but


    they don''t know that''s not how it works where I''m from.


    We don''t reject our mates, we can ve apart but the mate bond stays, growing stronger everytime.


    Which makes it clear that there is no ce in my heart for a luna and I don''t see myself taking any of


    them or any woman for that matter to bed. I saved myself for my true mate and I will continue to do so,


    even though she is already mated.


    I sound stupid but this is what I promised myself and I will not change myself because of how life


    worked out for me. This is just a challenge, testing of my patience and I know I am not much of a


    patient guy but for Sabrina, I''ll do anything. For the love I truly want, I will wait. Patience is something I


    have always struggled with though, as my father''s child and because of my social standing in this life, I


    have always had my way.


    When I want something, I want it now.


    "Thinking about Sabriiinnnna?" My brother jokes surprising me in my dressing room.


    We were given rooms at the arena for all the alphas. A little room for every alpha''s medic, beta and


    whoever he needs in the room to set up for whatever reason.


    "Stop poking around in my head. Some thoughts are meant for me, just for me." I say before throwing a


    Jersey at him.


    My brother, obviously catches it.


    "So, I tracked you all the way here. Don''t you have a pack to run? What are you doing at an arena and


    why do I smell a show of power going on here?" He asks.


    "I''m fighting my way to be king. I have to fight alphas for that position and the strongest one, the one


    able to defeat all alphas wins." I say and he nods his head in understanding.


    "Well that''s an easy one. If they had to test on smarts, that''s where you would definitely lose." My


    brother jokes. I growl at him and he chuckles.


    I take off my shirt and dress pants, putting on ck sweat pants. For fighting I like to stay shirtless and


    barefoot, ws out on all my limbs for effectiveness.


    "What are you doing here anyway?" I ask my brother who has made himselffortable in my room.


    "Your true mate''s ascension ball ising up. Our family was invited, which took dad by surprise


    considering Hunter but I''m sure they are just following tradition. It looks like she haspleted training


    and I was wondering if you''d want to make an appearance?" My brother says, wiggling his eyebrows at


    me.


    "I''ll think about it." I say before someone knocks on my door. It was time for the trials to begin.


    "I''lle pick you up when it''s time. Have fun big brother!" He says before leaving me alone in the


    room.


    I open the door and walk out, making my way to where the fighting will take ce. I don''t need a medic


    for obvious reasons, I don''t need my beta here because I need him to run the pack while I''m away and


    I work better alone anyway.


    "Josey was right. She thought it was you, the new alpha." A familiar voice said and I turned around


    quickly toe face to face with my one true mate.


    "Why are you doing this? It isn''t fair to the other alphas." Sabrina says to me. I hear what she''s saying


    but I''m too lost in her eyes to respond.


    What do I say to the one woman that stays consuming my thoughts? To the one woman who has my


    wolf going crazy, begging me to run to her and make her ours.


    "You mean it is not fair to your chosen mate to fight your true mate? Is it because of my obvious


    strength and the fact that he will be fighting me, where he stands no chance?" I ask smirking at her. My


    mind was going crazy just having her a few feet away from me.


    Let''s not even start with my wolf.


    "I came to earth to learn the ways of an earthling because you see yourself as one so when the time


    comes and I finally get the chance to call you mine, I''ll understand you perfectly. Me being king


    shouldn''t stand in your way to live your own life." I say confidently.


    Her eyes trail down my torso but quickly looks up. Her heart was beating too fast too, matching mine.


    I feel so much better knowing I invoke such a reaction out of her, that she feels the pull just like I do


    and now I am certain her wolf wants to be taken by me.


    Stubborn but it''s alright, I can wait for her. I can''t die now thanks to her. We have all the time in the


    world and the next.


    "My mate would have to report to you. It''s bad enough he is aware who you are to me, my wolf and


    what that means for him. Now he has to bow down to you?" Sabrina shouts out, in clear frustration and


    I just smile.


    "Look, just like you, I am a god. Whether I be king, whether he bows down to me as king or not,


    I''m still above him in every way." I say, throwing a smirk her way.


    I walk closer to her.


    "I think it bothers you over everyone because of who I am to you and it shouldn''t. It''s not like your mate


    has to live under one roof with me and besides, I think my pack needs the win. They have been the


    weak pack for far too long and I can''t stand by and watch them remain cowards, this is the push they


    need to strengthen the pack and fight for what''s theirs. I won''t be around forever and this is the best I


    can do for them, so I''m sorry but I''m winning this." I say before turning around and leaving her to think


    on what I just said to her.


    "Why do you go by the name Alexander, Aiden?" Sabrina asks. I smile, she knew my real name which


    only means she''s been asking about me.


    I don''t stop to answer her. To be honest, I don''t even know why I chose to go by that name. Maybe I''m


    the crazy stalker who decided to choose a name that is almost her chosen mates name but I came to


    find out that women loved that name.


    Although, hearing her say my real name, turned me on.


    What she also doesn''t know is it took all of my willpower to walk away from her and not im her right


    where she stands. If she wasn''t so much of an earthling, I would''ve killed Xander for taking what''s mine


    but because things are done differently here, I''ll respect them.


    I was right though.


    My pack is too weak and no wolf should have to live like that. Living like rabbits surrounded by wolves


    waiting to be hunted, that is just ludicrous. We are all werewolves and everyone in my pack has


    enough strength to at least be able to protect their families.


    I find my way around and arrive at the main field, where the fight will take ce. Alphas in every shape


    and form walking around, showing off their muscle and power.


    This will be fun.....

    Sabrina''s POV


    Damn that arrogant true mate! Did he not hear a word I said?


    ''You just wanted to see him. Your argument was weak and pointless. Why does it bother you so much


    to the point where you had toe all the way to tell him not to fight? Yes he will be king but that won''t


    change who Xander is to us, our chosen mate. Which means we choose him, over Alexander...'' Athena


    says to me and I chuckle.


    "Shut up and don''t sweeten up his name. He is not our mate. You do well to remember who we are with


    at the moment." I say out loud to Athena who just growls in response.


    I leave the arena, where I left my Xander to fight against all the alphas. I knew he could win this but


    now with the new alpha, there was no chance in the world.


    I find Josey in my room, eating grapes and watching tv.


    I throw myself on the bed, groaning out loudly.


    "So I take it this new alpha Alexander is your mate?" Josey asks and I nod my head yes.


    "His real name is Aiden." I say. Josey throws me a look.


    "He will be king Jose. There is no denying the strength these heavenly kids possess. I mean the first


    few months of my training in that school were bad bad and I mean bad for me, they gave me my ass


    plenty of times before I could get it right." I say. Josey chuckles as she eats my grapes not bothered in


    any way which fuels my frustration.


    "I mean I get why him being king bothers you as you''d probably have to see him more but don''t be that


    shaken. We all know he will win this trial but that''s about it. He hasn''t won your heart for which is his


    ultimate goal. Just make sure Xander knows he is the one you choose a thousand times over." Josey


    says as she flicks through channels.


    Josey is right. Xander wille back wounded physically and mentally after losing to my true mate. I


    will have to put aside my frustrations and focus on him.


    "You think this will make him insecure?" I ask Josey who then looks at me like I grew two heads.


    "He will feel like shit. He already knows he isn''t supposed to be with you so imagine finding out he has


    to bow down to his chosen mates true mate. I mean I''m confident but it would render me feeling small


    and I''m not an alpha." Josey says to me and I mentally groan.


    Sometimes I wish I had a couple of years with Xander before I met Aiden. Then maybe Xander and I


    would''ve have enough time to maybe form a bond that is unbreakable.


    "What do you think I should do?" I ask Josey who just shrugs in response.


    "Changing the topic, how are the twins?" I ask Josey who sends me a death re.


    "Nice change Brina..." Josey says to me before sitting up.


    "I guess we are okay but not where I want us to be. Me wanting the vampire king has created this rift


    between us that none of us want to speak off but it is clearly eating at us. I can''t even look in to their


    eyes." Josey tells me.


    "Is that why you''re in my room eating my food? To hide away?" I ask and Josey nods her head yes.


    "I mean I killed the stupid vampire king, that should mean something right?" Josey asks me and it was


    my turn to shrug.


    "Someone was going to kill him either way. They died Josey and came back to life, that kind of thing


    changes you. Besides that, they still need to get to know your vampire, who we have all noticed can be


    the a little much." I say. Josey buries her head in my pillow and screams out.


    "I think you should let your wolf take the lead on this one. She has always wanted them so if you want


    to make things right, listen to her." I say and she looks up at me.


    "Yeah I guess you''re right. What about you? What are you going to do about this this dilemma?" Josey


    asks me and I smile back at her.


    "I think I might have a temporary solution to my problem that will give me enough time to win Xander


    over after this big loss that''sing." I say and Josey looks at me, waiting for me to continue.


    "My ball ising up in the heavenly realm. I will be introduced to that world as the moon goddess and


    what better way to attend that ball than with Xander by my side?" I say confidently.


    "We aren''t allowed there Sab. At least I am but your mate is an earthling, do you not remember how


    the elders were against our ins and outs there like we owned the ce?" Josey reminds me but I shake


    it off.


    "I need everyone to know who my mate is and I will show off Xander. The elders are just my advisers,


    they don''t run the show. My family does and I don''t think Hunter would mind if he hears why I''m doing


    it. If Aiden''s family attend the ball, if he shows up and I hope he does, they will see Xander with me. I


    will show the world he is mine and I am his, earthling or not." I say excitement taking over me.


    Josey shakes her head in disagreement but I pay her no mind.


    Yes Xander is not allowed there and goddess knows I''m breaking the rules previous moon goddesses


    put in ce to keep earthlings on earth but he is my mate and as mates, we share everything. I am the


    new moon goddess and it is okay if they don''t understand my motives, they just have to live with them.


    I think it was time I pay my dad a visit.

    Sabrina''s POV


    Josey was definitely not okay and it was getting to me. Hiding out in Red Creek, avoiding her mates. I


    don''t even understand why they were hostile to her, all because her vampire chose to be with Cayden


    after they died.


    The twins were also taking part in the alpha trials but I need to pay them a visit.


    "No. You can''t do that. You can''t fix everything for everyone. This is something Josey and her mates


    need to figure out themselves." My mother scolds walking in to my office.


    I stand up to give her a hug, pulling away I nod my head in understanding.


    "I just need them to know that their silent treatment is hurting Josey." I say sitting down and resting my


    head on the chair looking up at the high ceiling.


    "I understand Josey is hurting but she needs to learn how to control her vampire. She can''t rely on her


    wolf to tame that thing. If her human side can control her wolf, a very strong wolf then a silly vampire


    shouldn''t be so difficult." My mother says.


    This woman.


    Quickly forgetting her part in all of this mess. Not even acknowledging the fact that we would never


    have been in this situation if she had fixed her issues a long time ago.


    "You could have killed him you know. You knew the war that wasing and when we did not know


    why, you had the answer. Failed to give us the reason why vampires wanted to wage a war against us


    and watched your daughter be a vampire, going undercover to defeat the one vampire that just


    wanted to kill werewolves because of you." I say and my mother rolls her eyes.


    "And before you think this is a me game, it isn''t. This is when you need to see your role in this, the


    biggest role of all. If you had at least told us why the vampires wereing for us, we would''ve acted


    differently. Josey would not be a vampire so before you stop me from meddling, remember that none of


    us wanted to be here but we are and we all know men can be stubborn, especially when their egos are


    bruised. You are with Hunter, that is reason enough to know true stubbornness." I say, finally letting out


    a breath after that mouthful.


    "Sabrina, I''m aware of my part in this but what''s done is done. There is no going back to redo all of


    this." She says to me.


    "Then go be a mother and try offer Josey advice. How did Hunter take it after he found out you had


    Josey with an earthling? That should make for a good story." I say smiling at my mother.


    "You think you''re very funny.." Mother says as Hunter walks in.


    "She has a point. I think I gave you the cold shoulder for a very long time. I love Josey as my own now


    but I didn''t then." Hunter tells mother.


    "Well, it''s decided then. Mother will go be a mother and we will go through all the ns for my


    ascension ball. Good bye mother..." I say and my mother huffs before leaving my office. Hunter and I


    both chuckle.


    Hunter sits down on one of the chairs opposite me and my big oak table.


    "Everything is set up and everyone is following the theme. There have been a few hups but nothing


    Evan couldn''t handle. I''m just excited to see my little moon take the throne as our moon goddess. Our


    family is finally back together, back where we belong. I''m a happy man." Hunter says, he looked happy.


    "Dad, do you think I could bring Xander and my siblings to the ball?" I ask.


    "I don''t see why you can''t. It''s just a ball and the time difference won''t affect them. If you are worried


    about the elders, I''ll handle them." He says and I smile, jumping out of my chair to run around the table


    and hug my dad.


    My n was now in motion and everyone will soon know who I choose to be with.


    "Thank you, dad." I say, pulling away from him and walking back to my seat.


    "It''s nothing really. I guess you want to heal his bruised ego after losing from Aiden right? Well, I don''t


    think he will get the chance to fight him." Hunter says to me.


    "What do you mean?" I ask. No other lycan could defeat X, there was no way.


    "Xander won''t win against your brother. Your brother is the one that will fight to the final, with Aiden."


    He says to me and I suddenly remember my brother is an alpha now.


    Of course my brother would take part in these trials as he also is an alpha and a damn strong one


    thanks to the previous moon goddess, plus the almost ten years of training in the heavenly realm.


    "Although I have a feeling your true mate knows this. If he really wants to win your affection, he won''t


    hurt your brother." Hunter says but I remain quiet.


    "I''ll predict a win for Cj. Making him king of werewolves and lycans, where you need to be vignt as


    the moon goddess because lycans won''t be too thrilled to be ruled by just a young pup." He says to me


    and I chuckle.


    "He said his pack needs the win." I say but Hunter shakes his head no.


    "Coming second is a big win for his pack with them known as the weakest pack around. You are the


    prize Sabrina, his pack will celebrate knowing they have the second strongest alpha and Cj will be


    forced to have him as his second inmand, getting closer to you." Hunter says and a panic sets in.


    "That''s his n?? And how do you know all this?" I ask, my eyes bulged out at Hunter''s words.


    "I don''t know what his n is but what I do know is, he won''t hurt your brother but your brother will fight


    him. It may not be his n now but it will be. I''d say allow it, if Xander loses to your brother, he won''t be


    sour for too long. I keep tabs on earth Sabrina." He says to me and I nod my head.


    There was no way I was going to get in the way. Better Cj as the king than my true mate.


    "Come along now, time for practice." He says and I stand up, following him out.


    Would Aiden let Cj win? Scared if he hurt my brother I''d never forgive him?


    Knowing very well I can''t fault him for hurting Xander because my wolf would understand as he is the


    one we are supposed to be with.


    Would he really get close to my family? Even if I bring Xander to the ball, I lose still. Xander will see


    Aiden get close to my family, the jealousy will settle in and create a rift in my rtionship with him. It is


    already eating at him and now this...

    Blinking away the tears as I hear someoneing.


    Mother walks in, holding a blood bag. I raise an eyebrow at her and she just shrugs, handing it to me. I


    ce the bag beside me, not really in the mood for food.


    "My two girls, both at a crossroad. I hate seeing you two like this." She says to me as she fiddles with


    my curls.


    "I''ll be fine mother." I say. Did I believe it? Don''t think I was convincing enough.


    "When I had to talk to Hunter about you, before I could finish my sentence he was out the door. For


    months he wouldn''t talk to me." Mother tells me and I look up in to her eyes.


    "He could not understand how I could be with another man and have something to show for it, you. He


    went on and on about how he stayed true to me because I gave him hell for being with other women


    before me. Now I was the hypocrite." Mother says and I start to cry.


    "I... I did not do anything with Cayden, my vampire just wanted him. Nothing had happened.....yet. I


    killed him that stupid vampire king! I killed him, was that not enough!?." I say through sobs. Not wanting


    to mention that Hunter had every right to be upset.


    "Men hate it when their egos are bruised and your mates are still kids. You just need to force them in to


    a conversation. Tell them they can either talk to you and treat you as their mate or you''ll leave to go


    start your own vampiremunity." Mother says to me and I chuckle at thest part.


    My wolf would never allow that.


    "Come stay with us, in the heavenly realm. You are wee up there. Time flies there and I''m sure


    you''ll make some good friends while you''re there. Maybe a little training too? Wouldn''t it be nice if you


    coulde and go as you please?" She asks and I nod my head yes as I wipe the tears away.


    "I''d love that. The twins put their beta in charge, didn''t even bother to trust me with the job of taking


    care of the pack. I saved that pack, my family saved them. I just, I just want some damn


    acknowledgment." I say and mother pulls me in for a hug.


    "Women are often overlooked in terms of alpha business. Not all of us are lucky like Sabrina, who


    controls all wolves." I say in frustration.


    "Sabrina has her own problems Josey. She''s about to find out that she can''t be with Xander anymore if


    she wants to be the moon goddess." Mother says to me and I gasp, pulling away from her embrace.


    "What do you mean?" I ask.


    "I saw it in one of the elders thoughts. She has a true mate Josey, I maye off as insensitive but


    earthlings are beneath the werewolves in the heavenly realm. Xander will never be epted as her


    mate and if Sabrina does not end it with him, his life will be in danger. Don''t just assume it is only our


    family that cane and go as we please on earth. Every god in that realm can and if they won''t


    ept Sabrina keeping Xander as her mate, they will force her in to letting go." Mother tells me and I


    stand up.


    "They could kill him?" I ask as I start to panic.


    "They could burn him and his entire pack to the ground." Mother says to me sadly.


    "Won''t Sabrina publish them?" I ask..


    "For what? Forcing her to obey sacredw?" Mother says and my shoulders fall.


    This was bad bad. I thought I had it bad but Sabrina was about to lose bigtime.


    "Does Hunter know?" I ask and my mother shakes her head no.


    "So how do we prevent this from happening?" I ask looking at mother.


    "I don''t know but what I do know is, if the weather takes a sudden turn, Sabrina found out and I''m


    scared to see what wille of her." She says to me and I sit back down.


    Sabrina would definitely lose it. Xander will die inside and the pack will mourn their luna. Xander, after


    losing to Sab''s true mate at the trials, he wille back to find out that Sabrina can''t be with him and


    that will mean, Adrastos has to leave him too.


    The poor guy.


    Why does lovee with so many hurdles? It''s like the one moment you allow it in, all hell breaks


    loose. My dear sister can never catch a break with love.


    "I think we need to have a conversation with Sabrina. We can''t keep this from her." I say and mother


    nods her head in agreement.

    Aiden''s POV


    "I bet you wish you could fight someone with more strength huh?" My brother Luka asks walking in to


    my room.


    He was right.


    So far, I''ve fought 5 alphas and none of them couldnd a scratch on me. This was fast bing a


    bore to be honest.


    "You have no idea! I don''t even look forward to a fight anymore and it''s really not fair on them, Sabrina


    was right." I say and my brother chuckles.


    "Oh?" He teases.


    "We had a 2 second conversation about how I shouldn''t be here." I say before drinking water.


    "A bossy mate? That''s interesting. Tell me more..." Luka says and I groan out in frustration.


    "A bunch of your fans are here to watch you fight you know." Luka says to me and I look at him, waiting


    for him to go on.


    "Word got around that you''re an alpha on earth. By word got around, I mean me." Luka says and I


    growl at him.


    "Yeah, you and your big mouth. Don''t you have a mate to keep yourself busy?" I ask. Irritated that he


    was stupid enough to open his mouth.


    "Ouch! Calm down lover boy, it''s not that big of a deal." Luka says to me but I chuckle.


    "You sure about that? Give the girls more reason to be hostile to my mate." I say before punching the


    wall.


    "She doesn''t even care about you!" Luka shouts out and I push him to the wall, wrapping my hand


    around his neck.


    "I don''t care how you feel about her, you will respect her. Got it?" I ask and Luka nods his head yes.


    I let go of him and walk out of my room toe face to face with the keeper of my heart.


    "Sabrina..." I say and my wolf whines.


    Her eyes were red as if she had been crying and she was covered in dirt.


    I want to hold her and tell her everything will be fine but I don''t even know what''s troubling her.


    "Is it true?" She asks me and I look at her, puzzled.


    "Is what true?" I ask feeling Luka''s presence behind me.


    "Is it true that I''ll have no choice but to be with you or your people wille for my mate?" She asks


    and I feel as if my heart just got stabbed.


    Hearing her call that stupid Xander her mate ignited a jealous rage inside me but a pain in my heart.


    "Yes. We will kill him Sabrina and they are your people too. You are one of us whether you like it or not.


    Besides, you can''t disregard sacredw because you are the moon goddess. You can''t disrespect us


    by choosing an earthling while your true mate is alive and since we can''t kill you, we will kill him." Luka

    Tears start falling down Sabrina''s face but the look in her eyes looked deadly.


    "I need to go." Sabrina says but I grab her hand.


    "What are you nning?" I ask in fear of whoever that was going to feel her wrath.


    "I need to speak to Xander. He''s the only one that can calm me down." She says to me.


    "Are you kidding me? Do you not feel a thing between us?" I ask clearly baffled.


    By touching her hand I felt a sea of emotions so overwhelming but amazing. How could she deny the


    effect I had on her!?


    "Look, Xander marked me. It''s not just in the touch but the way he talks to me. I just need to tell him


    everything." She says and I let her go.


    She walks away from me, never looking back.


    One thing was certain now, if I get the chance to fight this Xander, I am going to kill him.

    Sabrina''s POV


    Standing outside of Xander''s changing room. I know he is inside, as I can hear his heartbeat and I''m


    right outside his door, cowardly hiding my scent so he can''t tell that it''s me, standing out here


    a stalker.


    How do I even look at him? How do I face him after what I have just been told?


    The door opens to reveal a shirtless Xander. He looks down at me, at my tear stained face as he gently


    grabs my hand.

    Xander stays silent, holding me tightly as I broke down, my insides were at war. Even though Athena


    and I love Xander, it was no secret that my body called for Aiden. I fight it day in and day out, happy to


    do so as long as I did not have outside obstacles fighting me too.


    ''They aren''t wrong though. You are not above Sacredw and if you don''t obey it, why should they?''


    Athena says to me.


    No, they are right. I was so mad at Percy for going against the veryw I am fighting.


    I admit, I''ve been the world''s biggest hypocrite. I just love Xander and I don''t really embrace change, I


    can''t embrace it and can I be med though? I never get to enjoy the pleasures I''m given long enough


    before they are taken away from me.


    I pull away from Xander and look him in the eyes.


    "We need to talk and you won''t like what I have to say. I don''t like it but I don''t know what to do and I


    need your calm nature and logic around this. I need alpha Xander and my mate at the same time." I


    say and he leads me in to his room before closing the door behind him.


    "What''s wrong Sabrina?" He asks again.


    "I just had a conversation with my mother and Josey." I say as I scratch the back of my head.


    Xander looks at me, his face not revealing much.


    "Xander, they won''t ept us. With me going against sacredw and staying with you. I feel so


    defeated, so drained. I did everything they wanted me to do and now they want to take you away from


    me. I don''t know what to do." I blurt out really fast.


    "Hold on, say that again but really slowly." Xander says to me, squeezing my hand.

    "I say we scatter his ashes to the four corners of the earth or just everywhere. In the ocean, untouched

    you will go to the amazon forest and do the same. Dad, you will go to the Antarctic desert and scatter


    these ashes there. While you''re all gone, I''ll put this away." I say as I hand each of them the pouches


    and they nod their heads in agreement.


    As Anthony closes my door being thest to leave, I walk over to it to lock it. Taking the urn with me,


    walking in to my most precious room. The room where the beautiful pond is, where all my lost souls

    With mother fussing over Josey''s hair and Josey screaming profanities as mother tugged and pulled


    through her curls, the two had the makings for a very funnyedy show.

    to catch it or move Cj out of the way, also seeing who the culprit was. Sabrina will get a feel for the


    room once Cj makes his entrance, it will take time but auras don''t lie. We have myself and my son


    Anthony to act as the muscle if needed." Hunter suggests.


    The room remains quiet for some time while everyone thinks.

    We all nod just in time for the door to open and for Percy to remind CJ that it was time.

    We all walk out of the room, followed by four guards. Stopping at the double doors, a guard asks us to

    "They will stay up for the remainder of the night. Every time someone gets an idea to attack this family,

    I look up at everyone, having changed clothes and looking fresh. Aiden was slouched and looking grim,

    One elder walks up to me, holding the staff.

    opening by itself to a nk page.


    I give him my hand. He slices my open palm and a drop of blood rises up for all to see before flying


    down and in to the book. When the drop of blood touches the nk page, an image of me appears. My


    name written just under it and the words, Queen Mother above the picture.


    The book closes and goes up in to the air before itpletely disappears. Thest elder steps back to


    stand with the other elders.


    They immediately fall to their knees and bow their heads.


    "Queen Mother." They say in unison and the crowd follows. I let them all stay like that for a few


    seconds, probably a minute to really enjoy this moment. Not many would have voluntarily bowed but


    now I know the truth.


    "Rise." I say and they all stand up. Josey throwing me a re.


    Listening to my father talk about how he was thrown out of here and forgotten. How my mother lived in

    "Jane, you betrayed me!" Aiden shouts before pulling his hands back in a dramatic fashion.


    "I can''t believe you and let''s be honest with each other here, You did not say anything because you


    knew their fate. You saved yourself by staying behind and had they seeded in their ns, you''d be


    with them celebrating but you did the math. The greed clouded their heads but not you. You don''t care


    about power, no. You only care about survival and you don''t mind being someone''sckey just to


    survive." Aiden says in anger.


    Jane storms her way over to Aiden and as she was about to p him, I stop her. Holding her hand


    back, I shake my head no before pushing her back.


    "Oh I know the truth hurts but it''s the truth. You followed my mother everywhere like a tail and maybe it


    was to get closer to me but now I see it. Your family is of no high ranking and being with my family gave


    you a way up in life, I can''t be mad at that but I can detest the way you only protected yourself today.


    Especially since you''re here crying to me about how they are all gone. Of fucken course they are all


    gone! They underestimated Sabrina and her family. Underestimated her strength and abilities, you


    didn''t. You know how to read people and it was stupid of my family to even think their n would work."


    Aiden says. He runs his fingers through his hair in frustration, before letting out a loud sigh.


    "I''m going to tell you the same thing I told them before the event. Sabrina is my mate and shees


    first before anyone else." He says as he walks away from us to stop at the entrance of the cell.


    "Sabrina, she''s just as much trouble if not more and I would do to her what you did to mom and Leslie."


    Aiden tells me and then walks away.


    You could hear the hurt and anger in his voice. Today was a lot for him and I can''t even begin to


    imagine what he''s going through right at this moment because in a few seconds, he''ll lose one other


    person that he loved dearly.


    I look at Jane, who was now full out crying knowing her fate.


    "Don''t worry. I''m not going to kill you." I say and she stops sobbing to look at me.


    "I''m going to do something much much worse." I say, wiping the tears off her face with my hands.


    "What could be worse than death?" Jane asks and I smile back at her.


    "Oh honey.. you are about to find out..." I say.


    The room''s atmosphere changes and I feel Jane shiver. The light bulb flickers, making a buzzing


    sound.


    "Aiden''s family did not take in to consideration that to rule this realm, you need more thanbat skills


    and strength or even wealth, as important as they are. One needs powers beyond anyone''s


    comprehension and that is where I had the upper hand. Their lives or my brothers... they had already


    killed my brothers mate and in that moment, I remembered how I had the power to choose between life


    or death and I chose death. Their hearts were still beating when I pulled them out of their chests, those


    two hearts stopped beating in my hand. It was incredible just how one can just die in a matter of


    seconds." I say, stepping back from Jane.


    I walk around the cell, my fingers running through the rusting bars.


    "Although death is an easy punishment, they deserved it but not you. Eleanor did not deserve death,


    not by my hand at least. Leslie will also not die by my hand and as they try to live out their new reality,


    all alone in a new world, you will soon join them." I say.


    "I''ll juste back here. My whole life is here!" Jane exims.


    "Ahhhh no. I would not send you somewhere knowing you can juste back when you feel like it." I


    say betweenughs.


    "Well I wille back. Aiden can''t be left alone with you." She says. Athena growls but I calm her.


    We have the upper hand here and only her words can touch us, which I can''t allow.


    "Let me fill you in on what happened today." I say, twirling about the cells as I remember how I gained


    new knowledge and powers today.


    "You know how you''re a werewolf and can shift anytime you want?" I ask her and she slowly nods her


    head in confusion.


    "Well, that''s because I will it." I say with a big smile.


    "I can take away your ability to shift. Your strength. I can take away the freedom to shift whenever you


    feel like it. I can leave you here as a wolf forever as your ancestors were before my ancestor decided to


    share in her abilities. My blood runs in your veins and because you''re all a bunch of ungrateful spoilt


    brats, I will take back what was gifted to you. You betrayed my family and that''s a fitting punishment for


    being loyal to a family that could''ve never given you so much power!" I say before forcing Jane on her


    knees.


    I ce my open hand on her head and I take away her identity. I strip her of her strength and remove


    her ability to ever be human again.


    "This is the life your ancestors knew and now, you can live life like them. Like the animal that you are,


    so go ahead my little wolf, embrace this new change. It is your life now." I say as Jane shifts in to her


    wolf, the human side of her all gone now and what was left was just the animal.


    Jane the wolf bows her head to me, showing me the respect the human side could never do.


    "Smart wolfie. Think maybe I''ll keep you as my pet." I say before walking out of the cells and Jane the


    wolf following right by my side.


    This was definitely a new world.


    My world.
