《M.I.N.E》 Chapter 1 Chapter 1 Leon Keith I looked at the ring and sighed. I just broke up with my girlfriend of 8 yearsst month because she cheated on me with one of my friends from highschool. Apparently they both already have an affair for 3 years and I never even once got suspicious that she cheated on me. I was going to propose to her on her birthday which is in 2 weeks but she told me everything and ended the rtionship. I thought she was the one, I thought she''s going to be my wife and the mother of my kids. I stood up straight and threw the ring to the ocean. My phone rang and I took it out of my pocket. I pressed the green button right away since it''s my dad. "Hello." I answered as I made my way back to my car. "Where are you? Jack told me that you didn''te to the restaurant today." He asked in a worried tone. "I''m going there now, why?" "I just want to talk to you but I''m already on my way back home." "I''ll go there then, I''ll see you in 20 minutes." I said as I opened my car door and got inside. "Okay." He ended the call and I drove toward my parents house. I tried not to think about my ex anymore because I don''t think it''s worth it to think about her. I mean I''m still sad but I need to get over it fast. When I arrived in front of my parents house, their butlers greeted me and I gave them a polite nod before entering the house. I saw my dad sitting on the living room reading something on his iPad. Just by seeing the picture, I can tell that she''s quite arrogant. Shiny blonde hair, red lips, long silk dress that shows a lot of skin and gold jewelries sitting beautifully on her neck. She''s beautiful but not exactly my type. A woman like her will be handful, you need extra care and I don''t like it. It''s pretty obvious that she''s the opposite of my ex-girlfriend. I like simple and independent women. I don''t like when I have to worry too much towards my girlfriend because I have my own sets of problems that I need to take care of. Chapter 2 Chapter 2 Ivory Evans I put on my white spaghetti strap bodycon dress and sprayed some perfume to my neck and my wrist. I put on my earrings and put on my white pumps. I checked myself on the mirror and I''m ready to go. Apparently today my parents asked me to join them for brunch. I think they''re up to something because both of them have been so weird since 2 days ago. I walked downstairs to grab my daily intake of green juice that I bet my maid already prepared for me. I walked out from my room at the same time as my dad''s. He gestured to me to follow him towards his study room and I have a weird feeling all of the sudden now. "Is everything okay?" I said and I called the waiter since everyone finished picking what they want. After telling the waiter all the orders, I turned my attention to Ivory. One thing that made me a little ufortable is that she stands out. You can''t ignore her presence, too beautiful to be ignored. She wore a tight and short white dress with long shiny earrings, red lips and gold ne. Judging by her gesture, she''s arrogant. She knew it so well that she''s beautiful and she got everyone''s eyes on her. Quite the opposite from me, I hate attention. I don''t like when everyone''s eyes on me. "Do you mind talking a walk with me before we eat?" Ivory asked and I turned to my parents. They gave me a nod and I turned to her nodding. "15 minutes, Leon." My mom reminded. "Okay." "Excuse us." Ivory said and I walked towards the door to open the door for her. She smirked at me and walked out first. I checked my watch to see the time and then I put both of my hands into my pocket. "You seem to enjoy the arranged marriage situation." She said and I chuckled. "I can''t say that I''m enjoying it. I''m just being polite. Besides, I can''t say no when my parents are clearly excited for this." I said it honestly. "I heard that you just broke up with your.. highschool sweetheart." She said in a cold tone and I stopped walking. I turned to her disbelief because I can say that she''s a little bit rude when she''s touching this subject. "Yes." She nodded and I walked away towards the small pharmacy across the street. I quickly bought a bandage for her and walked back but I can''t see her anywhere. Unbelievable! I told her to stay but she ran away already. I tried to look for her from shops to shops but she''s nowhere to be found. She''s pretty handful huh? I can''t believe this. I decided to go back to the restaurant, maybe her parents can call her. When I walked into the restaurant, I saw her sitting on her chair. I looked at her disbelief and I walked towards everyone. Chapter 4 Chapter 4 Ivory Evans My heart was beating fast when I saw Leon walking into the small pharmacy across the street. I knew he''s going to buy a bandage or some medicine to treat my wound, I''m not dumb. I thought he''s going to be douchebag earlier but he''s different. Ever since I knew the definition of attraction, love and boys.. I never met someone like him. He''s very polite, well-mannered and considerate. I decided to walk back to the restaurant and the parents were surprised to see me walking back alone. "Ivory, did Leon say something bad to you?" Wesley asked and I turned to him shaking my head. "Where were you? Why did you leave her alone?" Welsey asked Leon and Leon looked confused but he pointed to the bandage that he bought. "What happened?" I took out my phone calling my chauffeur and decided to walk out instead of waiting for him. "You really have a habit of walking away when I asked you to stay huh?" I turned to see Leon walking out from the restaurant. "You''re busy, just go back in there. I have somewhere to be." "Where is that?" He asked as he walked closer to me. Girls like Celine are better because she''s innocent, she knows what you like and what you don''t like, she understands you, she keeps her manners, she''s independent and besides you love your work so much so you need someone who can give you space!" Jack said and I chuckled. "You''re a love teacher now?" "I mean.. I don''t know why Celine cheats tho. You''re perfect for her but why did she.."
