《My sweet, Tyrant Lycan Mate》 Chapter 1 A Birthday To Remember Chapter 1 A Birthday To Remember Lily¡¯s POV ¡°You heard correctly, Beta William. Lily¡¯s name was on the list of the 100 maids to be offered to the Lycan King as tribute in exchange for peace. I¡¯m sorry.¡± My jaw fell to the floor and at that moment, hell froze over. I couldn¡¯t tell if I wanted to scream, cry, Some 18th birthday this was turning out to be. First, I stayed up until midnight, excited that I was finally going to get to meet and hear my wolf. When I didn¡¯t hear them, I thought that I was one of thete-bloomers, and I figured that I would hear them while I was at school. Spoiler: I never did. So, I was hoping that today was going to be slightly better because Jonathan promised me that he was going to be at school. He nned for us to drive off of campus for a short birthday date. But then he never showed up. Honestly, I thought finding out I was wolfless and having my boyfriend ghost me for an entire day was bad enough. Then things just had to get worse. ¡°This can¡¯t be happening¡¡± My voice was barely above a whisper. ¡°Did we piss off another pack or something? Why am I on that list?!¡± My body shook. Alpha Oscar¡¯s lips downturned slightly but he tried to put on a brave face. ¡°I¡¯m sorry, my dear, I know this is a lot to take in. My hands were tied.¡± ¡°Don¡¯t bullshit us!¡± My dad¡¯s voice cracked. ¡°You practically helped me and Betty raise her! How could you say that your hands were tied, Oscar?¡± ¡°William¡¡± My mom ced her hand on my dad¡¯s shoulder. Her eyes were red from crying. ¡°No, Betty! He needs to hear this!¡± My dad shouted. ¡°It¡¯s like he doesn¡¯t care that he¡¯s sending our daughter to an early grave!¡± ¡°I-I just don¡¯t understand, Alpha Oscar¡¡± I looked at our Alpha; my uncle. ¡°This is the Lycan King we¡¯re This text is ? N?velDrama/.Org. talking about. He tortures people for his amusement, and murders anyone who says his name in the slightest tone of disrespect. What will 100 defenseless girls do to stop him?¡± ¡°Lily doesn¡¯t deserve a life where she has to look over her shoulder 24/7, Oscar!¡± My dad roared. ¡°What if Lily breathes the wrong way when he¡¯s in an ill mood?!¡± ¡°Remember the group of werewolves whose heads he left at foot of ckwell Hills? They thought they could rob him because he was the only one of their kind left¡¡± My mom shivered. ¡°You¡¯re sending these girls to their deaths!¡± My heart sank at the thought of being anywhere near the Lycan King, and now I was going to be his maid. I couldn¡¯t quiet the thoughts in my head that told me this was thest time I was going to see the light of day. Why did it have to be like this? Decades ago, lycans used to roam the world. For the longest time, humans thought that ¡°lycans¡± was just another term for ¡°werewolf.¡± They were wrong, though. The lycans were stronger and had abilities that none of us could But one by one, the lycans started to disappear. No one knew why. Rumors started to spread but it was nearly impossible to pinpoint the real reason why they were vanishing. Some say they practiced taboo ult magic and that they prayed to a demon god. It was said that on the full moon of every month, they would kidnap a child as a sacrifice to their deity. Another rumor was that groups of lycans were ughtering small towns of humans to satisfy their growing hunger. At one point, the police got involved and found that a small downtown area of people disappeared without a trace. Regardless of what the real reason was, one thing was certain. Thest Lycan King was hungry for revenge after his people vanished. Stories of his ruthlessness traveled like wildfire and many people lived in fear of the day that he would retaliate. ¡°Remember that werewolf from the Stars Aligned Pack? He was the only one, by the grace of the Moon Goddess, who made it out of ckwell Hills alive in search of his son¨Cwho he never found, by the way.¡± My dad started. ¡°Mr. Rivers¡ He was my art teacher¡ I remember that when he was able toe back to school, he covered the ssroom windows with cardboard in fear of the Lycan King searching for him.¡± I started to recall. ¡°And then what happened to him?¡± My dad asked despite already knowing the answer. Everyone knew¨Cme and my ssmates walked in on it, and it even made the local news. ¡°His body was found hanging in the middle of our art room¡¡± I started to cry. ¡°He went crazy because of the horrors he witnessed! Maidens chained to walls in degrading positions, men fighting to the death for his amusement! Did you know he kills thest man who ends up winning?¡± My dad got close to Alpha Oscar. ¡°Don¡¯t make me regret naming you as her godfather.¡± My dad spat. Alpha Oscar took a deep breath and met my dad¡¯s eyes, despite there being pain and sadness behind his own. ¡°You want to know why I couldn¡¯t fight the decision, William?¡± ¡°Please, do tell!¡± ¡°Because it was Alpha Leo who wrote the list.¡± Silence fell onto us. My dad took a step back and my mom let out an audible gasp. ¡°Of the Night Walker Pack?¡± Goosebumps formed on my skin from just saying the name. Alpha Oscar nodded his head. Not much was known about the Night Walker Pack aside from them being extremely powerful and wealthy. They became the strongest, fastest, and most well-equipped pack in the entire state. It was like their powers were granted to them by the Moon Goddess herself. ¡°I¡ I can¡¯t go. Please, don¡¯t make me!¡± I begged. ¡°I spent the past 18 years of my life living for the sole purpose of finding my own happiness. I had everything nned!¡± ¡°I was bettering my grades and was going to work hard to graduate with A¡¯s and B¡¯s! I was going to boost my GPA, too!¡± I began to rant. ¡°Then, I was going to apply for themunity college that was 10 minutes down the road so I could be close to home. After that, I was going to transfer my credits to Crescent Moon University¡¡± ¡°What were you going to major in?¡± Alpha Oscar gave me a gentle smile. ¡°Character design.¡± I wiped the tears that rolled down my cheeks. ¡°I was even going to apply for the internship with Howlstar Games after I graduated¡¡± I looked over at my mom who was also bawling her eyes out. My dad moved to her side and took her into his arms as he cradled her. ¡°Please¡ The Lycan King will strip me of my freedom and happiness. You raised me, you were like another dad to me, uncle Oscar! You have to undo this!¡± ¡°I¡¯m sorry, Lily, but there¡¯s nothing I can do¡ Not against Alpha Leo.¡± I looked out of the window of my dad¡¯s study. ckwell Hills was tall enough to be seen from nearly everywhere in our small town. I felt my heart shatter, its pieces stabbing every part of my body from the inside. I was set to belong to the most heartless, brutal, and cruel monster in existence¨Cthest Lycan King. My life was over. Chapter 2 Chapter 2 Chapter Two A New Life In mes Lily''s POV I looked around at the other girls as we stood at the foot of ckwell Hills. It was odd that none of them seemed to be fearing for their lives; or if they were, they were good at hiding it. They stood in a group and wondered what kind of girl the Lycan King would like. They pondered if he would go for someone who was slim, who had blue eyes or maybe had brown hair. There''s no way that any of them truly believed that the Lycan King had the capacity to love, right? He was a monster¡ªa killer. He had no heart. I continued to watch as they twirled their curled hair and showed off their expensive dresses. They all looked like modern princesses and it was like they forgot that it wasn''t Prince Charming that lived at the top of those hills. ¡°As if the Lycan King would choose any of their sorry asses¡± A girl sneered. I looked over my shoulder and saw a pretty blonde girl standing next to me. Her hot pink dress hugged her body tightly and stopped at the middle of her thighs. Her striking blue eyes met mine and she cocked her head to the side. ¡°And who might you be?¡± ¡°My name is Lily¡± I gave her a warm smile. ¡°What a sweet name¡± She returned the smile, but it didn''t feel genuine and was void of any warmth. ¡°I''m Anny. Howe I haven''t seen you before? Don''t you go to Silvercoat High?¡± ¡°I do but only on certain days. I take hybrid courses, so some of them are online¡± ¡°Wow, you must be really smart!¡± Anny¡¯s voice was way too enthusiastic and borderline sarcastic. ¡°I bet you''re from the Radiant Moonlight pack¡ªliterally everyone there is like a genius nerd or something¡± I shook my head. ¡°No, my home is with the Blue Moon Pack¡± The smile on her face quickly evaporated. ¡°Oh... Cool!¡± Anny tossed her blonde hair and walked away from me. Thank the Goddess... ¡°Alright, alright, dies¡± A powerful voice beckoned to us from the hill s gates. ¡°The Lycan King doesn''t appreciate tardiness, so I need to make this announcement quick¡± A tall, lean, and handsome man stood at the gates. His hair was a striking blonde and against the sun''s rays, I saw hints of orange and red. ¡°My name is Alpha Leo of the Night Walker Pack¡± ¡°As you all know, you''re here to embark on a life-changing journey; one that will put your wits, strength, and will-power to the test¡± Why was he speaking as if bing the Lycan King¡¯s maids was something honorable? Is this his sick way of trying to get us hyped up for something that could get us killed? ¡°Today, you all will be serving your packs by serving the Lycan King¡± The reminder silenced the crowd as the air around us became cold. ¡°Unfortunately, there''s not much practical advice I can give you other than to be careful. Trust your instincts. Don''t talk back, only speak when spoken to, and don''t assume that you''re important to him- because you''re not¡± ¡°The Lycan King is a vtile, easily irritable, and merciless individual¡± Alpha Leo continued. "Make sure the Lycan King is satisfied in every area you can imagine¡ªyou''re all 18 and older; f''m sure you know what I mean in that regard¡± I felt my cheeks get hot but I quickly shook my head. ¡°Just kiss his ass, stay out of his way, and hopefully, you''ll all make it out alive¡± As Alpha Leo finished his lecture, the guards on either side of him opened the dark wooden gates that concealed the way up the hill. My mom rushed towards me and pulled me into her arms tightly. It hurt my heart to know that this was going to be thest time that I''d feel her affections. ¡°I pray to the Moon Goddess that I''ll get to see you again, my flower¡± She tried hard to hold in her tears. ¡°I love you¡± I inhaled her scent and memorized her touch before leaving to follow the group of girls up the hill. I looked back and met my parents¡¯ sad eyes. My fate was sealed as the gate behind us closed. I took in a deep breath and walked forward. I remember the forests that surrounded the Blue Moon Pack and how they were filled with life. Ducks would swim in the ponds, birds chirped all day, foxes would frolic in the flower fields, and even deer would asionally greet us. But these forests were dark, burned to a crisp, and it seemed like there had been no sign of life in these parts for some time. There wasn''t a single flower that sprouted from the ground¡ªnot even the stubborn dandelion weeds. Bones littered the ground but every once in a while, we''d stumble across a mangled body. It made me sad to think that these people would never get a proper burial. As we got further up the path, we soon came across arge figure that was hunched over with its back turned towards us. ¡°What is that thing?¡± ¡°What if it eats us?" ¡°It has to be some kind of monster!¡± ¡°Everybody, shut up!¡¯ A girl¡¯s voice was louder than it should¡¯ve been. In an instant, the creature turned around and red at us. It was like staring at a dog that was a hundred times the size of a regr one. It also had three heads, all snarling and ready to snap. L remember reading about something like this in my English ss and had three heads-just like this one. Cerberus, I think it was its name. As if it heard my thoughts, the monster-sized dog perked its head up. It took a few sniffs and then turned back around as it began to walk up the hill. It looked back at us¡ªspecifically, me. ¡°I think it wants us to follow it..¡± I said out loud. The other girls looked at me like I had gone crazy. They all linked arms and pushed me to the front since I was the one that suggested the idea. As we got close to the castle, the monster dog mmed its body into the iron gates and escorted us to the doors. I scolded myself inwardly as my heart began to pound like mad. This is it... Therge oak doors of the castle flung open, and on the other side was arge wolf with a dark red coat. Content provided by N?velDrama.Org. Its eyes were glowing an almost blinding orange as it stood on its back legs. Is this the Lycan King? A howling sound tore through the air and pulled me from my thoughts, but it didn''te from in front of me. L looked beside me as one of the girls had shredded her dress to shift into her werewolf form. She bore her teeth and was ready to pounce on the Lycan King. It was then that a stream of fire consumed the wolf next to me. Her howls of agony and the smell of burning flesh and fur were forever ingrained in my mind and senses. The girls around me fled as their screams filled the air. And I would''ve followed but I was too scared to make another move. Instead, I stood there and observed the creature before me-it had to have been the Lycan King. His dark red coat was like a symbol of those he had ughtered; a reminder of his thirst for blood. His orange eyes bore into mine and it took me a second too long to tear my gaze away. While I didn''t think of him as a true king, I got on my knees and bowed my head to show respect. Goddess, protect me! When I looked back up, I saw that the Lycan King had disappeared. As the wooden doors to the main pce began to close, a low growl reverberated from within. ¡°Leave me alone!¡± Chapter 3 Chapter 3 Chapter Three Curious Little Lamb Zack''s POV Sometimes I wondered why the Goddess decided to curse me. Why couldn''t I have been born normal like my other lycan brothers and sisters? Instead, the Fire Wolf that existed in me had been tormenting me for as long as I could remember. I retreated to therge pool that sat in the middle of the main pce. The water blessed by the full moon was the only thing that could ever calm the Fire Wolf, offering some peace from being irritable all day. The Fire Wolf''s existence meant that I burned internally and externally; it physically hurt me to even be awake some days. On top of that, I had to hear theirints, their whining. I had to be reminded that they were never satisfied. I either needed to appease their restless soul by hunting down someone innocent or by soaking in the moon-blessed pool. I took in a deep breath and opened my eyes to see Cerberus walking up to me. My loyal monster of a pety at the edge of the pool and bent down to greet me. I rubbed his head. "Foolish girls will need to try harder than that if they want my blood¡± I grabbed a knife that I had stashed in my pants pocket and sliced my palm. Blood dripped to the ground, which Cerberus happily licked up. My loyal dog is more deserving of my blood than those This text is ? N?velDrama/.Org. greedy and selfish werewolves. My mind went back just a few minutes ago to when I burned that girl alive. Delivering swift justice and hearing their agonizing screams used to bring a smile to my face but torture of the Fire Wolf¡ªa being that I could never satisfy regardless of how much I killed. And now, I had over a hundred little girls running around my pce thinking that they had a chance of hurting me for their gain. I sighed. Wait, there was one who didn''t run. She stared right at me, knowing that Death would have imed her then. But she stood there. I thought about the rather cute, petite girl who stared death boldly in the face. A small smile tugged at the corner of my lips. Maybe I''ll get to have fun in this short life that I have left. After I got done taking a soak, I followed Cerberus to the west wing of the Pce where all of the maids were to stay. It surprised me to see that they had already made their way here. Perhaps they''re not as stupid as I thought they would be. I took more care with my steps, treading lightly so as to not be heard or seen. Cerberus mimicked my movements and was also surprisingly quiet as he trotted next to me. Leaned my head slightly towards the stone walls to hear their conversations. Luckily, being a lycan meant my hearing was superior to a werewolf¡¯s, so even if they spoke at normal volume, I''d hear them. I watched the group of girls that sat together as they cleaned their faces of the makeup they wore and got into morefortable attire. ¡°I can''t believe what happened to Alice..¡± *She got what she deserved. Who was she to think that she could kill the Lycan King?¡± ¡°Anny, how can you be so heartless¡± The blonde girl with the hot pink dress sneered. She must''ve been Anny. "Heartless for telling the truth? Please, don''t be so stupid, rissa¡± I chuckled at her boldness. ¡°If you''re going to go after someone like the Lycan King, you need to not be an idiot and try to attack him head-on,¡± Anny stated. ¡°Oh, yeah? And what¡¯s your method?¡¯ Another chimed in. ¡°Babe, do you see what I look like?¡± Anny flipped her blonde hair and ran her hands up the length of her curves to cup her breasts. ¡°There¡¯s no way that he''ll be able to resist this¡± I rolled my eyes. Another conceited young woman thought that her looks alone would be enough to woo me. I''ve had many women throw themselves at me in the past and before, sex used to be enough to appease the Fire Wolf. But like with most things, the Fire Wolf got bored of it-and quickly. It didn¡¯t matter how beautiful they were; the Fire Wolf would eventually tell me that unless they were our mate, it didn''t matter. ¡°Of course, you''d try to seduce him, you slut¡± The ck-haired girl who sat next to Anny gave her a yful smile. Anny yfully hit the girl. ¡°What can I say? A big strong Lycan King needs a hot Luna at his side¡± ¡°I feel like the whole purpose of even trying to get close to the Lycan King is to get his blood..¡± rissa spoke up again. ¡°Especially after what happened to Alice. It can happen to any of us and we need to stop it¡± ¡°Or at least arm ourselves with it¡± ¡°What''s so special about lycan blood anyway?¡± Anny took her hair and twisted it into a high ponytail. *Maybe if you paid attention in ss, you''d know that lycan blood is known for its regenerative abilities. Or, in easier words, Anny-they can heal themselves a hell of a lot faster than we can¡± ¡°Their blood is also a detoxifying agent. Anyone who may be sick or poisoned only needs a drop of their blood to instantly clean out impurities¡± I was surprisingly impressed with their knowledge of lycan blood. It seemed as if werewolf-popted schools took care to teach an urate ount of my kind. If only the human-popted schools did the same thing. Cerberus began to growl next to me as he listened in on the girl''s conversations, too. He was a smart dog who knew what certain words meant, and any time the word ¡°blood¡± and ¡°Lycan King¡± were together in the same sentence, he knew that it only meant danger for me. I patted Cerberus on the head. ¡°They''re nothing more than silly girls with ridiculous fantasies. They can talk about hurting me but the truth is, they won''t be able to. Don''t get so worked up¡± After I was done eavesdropping, I walked throughout the entire west wing to make sure that all of the maids were ounted for. I only counted 99. I got to the end of the hallway when I noticed a room with a door slightly ajar. When I peered inside, I saw the same girl from earlier¡ªthe one who stared death in the face. Back when my pce had more maids and servants, I had this room specifically made for tailors so they could work on my clothes. I thought I had it closed off. I observed the girl that sat at the table with the sewing machine as she meticulously worked on repairing the burned pieces of her dress. She hummed a beautiful melody and focused on her work. Curious littlemb... I wonder what thoughts swirl through your mind and what you desire? Power? My blood? I''m sure I''ll find out soon enough. Chapter 4 Chapter 4 Chapter Four To Tame A Monster''s Pet Lily''s POV I smiled as I finished up the repairs on my dress. It''s almost as if the Lycan King hadn''t burned it after he killed a girl who was standing next to me. After I was done dressing up the burn wound I got from that encounter, I made my way back to themon room where I was to stay with all of the other girls. When I entered, they were also bickering about the assignments we were just given, ¡°Look, none of you bitches are going to ruin my chances at bing the Lycan King¡¯s Luna. So, if anyone gets to go into his bedroom to do hisundry and bring him foad, it''ll be me¡± Anny stated. Unsurprisingly to me, no one else spoke up to argue. It seemed like everyone else in the room had a leveled head on their shoulders. As for me, I didn''t care what assignment I took on. I just wanted to be as far away from the Lycan King as I could be. Ideally, I wouldn''t want to look at him ever again. ¡°Okay, that''s all fine and great, Anny, but the most important task on this list is cleaning out Cerberus''s kennel..¡± ¡°What? That three-headed monster?¡± ¡°Yeah, I think I''ll pass..¡± ¡°What a tough decision¡ªdo I want to be burned alive by a cold, ruthless, Lycan King, or do I want to be mauled to death by a three- headed monster dog?¡± I shook my head. While Cerberus was undoubtedly one of the scariest creatures any of us had ever seen, he was still a dog. His ferociousnesses from being so loyal to his master. If anything, I feared him less than I did the Lycan King. ¡°I''ll do it,¡± I spoke up. ¡°What?¡¯ Anny looked at me with a perfect eyebrow raised. ¡°I''ll go clean out Cerberus¡¯s kennel¡± The other girls looked at me, for the second time, like I had lost my mind. Theyughed but did so quietly as to not disturb the Lycan King. "You can''t be serious, right?" I looked at the ck-haired girl who always seemed to be glued to Anny¡¯s hip. I remember her being in my English ss¡ªher name was Katelyn. I shrugged my shoulders. ¡°I don¡¯t see why not. None of you will do it and someone has to or it''ll really piss off the Lycan King..¡± ¡°Yeah, but now you''re just being stupid¡± Anny sneered. ¡°That monster isn¡¯t going to give you a free pass just because you decide to be nice to it. It''ll eat you up in a heartbeat¡± looked at the other girls who nodded their heads in agreement. ¡°Don''t pretend that you''re some monster veterinarian. It''s only going to get you killed¡± ¡°Normally, I don''t like agreeing with Anny, but she¡¯s right,¡± rissa spoke up. We were in the same art ss together. She was always so soft-spoken and nice. "It¡¯s not just an ordinary dog, Lily. That thing is a monster. No one here can keep you safe from it if it decides to attack you¡± "You''re basically on your own. You know the Lycan King isn''t going to care if we die to that beast. He killed one of our own without batting an eye¡± The other girls murmured in agreement. I sighed. If it¡¯s the most important task on the list, someone has to do it, okay? You guys can fight over who wants to make the Lycan King breakfast or whatever. I''m going to go clean the kennel and just get the hell out of this pce for a little bit¡± I made my way outside before any of them could protest any further. I walked around the pce and to the spacious backyard and noticed that it waspletely on the opposite end of the main wing of the pce. Thank the Goddess... It¡¯s a lot further away from where the Lycan King stays. Arge cage sat in the backyard and was covered with blood and feces. The smell was so rancid I thought I was going to throw up. Even if Cerberus is a beast, he deserves clean living conditions... The supplies in the back shed were more than helpful with cleaning up the horrible-looking cage. It was like it hadn''t been cleaned in such a long time. Even if Cerberus was a beast, he still deserved clean living conditions. After I was done, I was getting ready to put up the cleaning supplies when a rush of hot breath washed over me. I slowly turned around to see Cerberus standing no more than 20 feet from me. Howe I didn''t hear him at all? When we made eye contact, Cerberus came rushing toward me with such intense speed. I closed my eyes tightly and braced myself for the worse. Well, I didn''t think I was going to die this way but the girls did warn me of this... But the pain I imagined was going to strike me never came. I opened my eyes to see one of Cerberus''s heads sniffing at my feet, while the other licked at my chin. The third looked at me with a curious expression. I couldn''t suppress the smile from forming on my face. ¡°You''re just a giant dog..¡± Slowly, I stretched my hand forward to let Cerberus get used to my scent. Then after he licked my hand, I began to pet him. Confidence washed my fears away and I knew it was at that moment that he didn¡¯t mean any harm. I then reached into my pocket to pull out some dog food that I had stashed away. The dog kibble looked like any old kind you could find in a pet store, and honestly, I was skeptical that a dog like Cerberus ate this stuff. L opened my palm to let Cerberus eat the food out of my hand but instead, he sat upright and refused to go near it. ¡°Aren''t you hungry?¡± I held my hand up to Cerberus¡¯s face. He turned his noses upright and away from the food again. ¡°Is there something wrong with the food? Why won''t you eat this?¡± ¡°You call this food? I''m Cerberus¡ªa loyal pet and guardian to the Lycan King. I only eat fresh meat¡± I took a step back and shook my head. When I saw that no one was around me, I looked back at Cerberus with a confused look. ¡°You understood me?¡± ¡°I believe I should be the one asking you that question,¡± Cerberus responded. ¡°I... You know what? Let''s just get you that fresh meat¡± I honestly didn''t have the mental capacity to process what was going on or how I was able to talk to Cerberus, so I decided that it was going to be future me''s problem to deal with. After I snuck into the kitchen to get a b of raw beef and threerge chicken breasts, I ended up spending the rest of the afternoon with Cerberus. He was like any other dog that enjoyed running around in a spacious yard and ying catch. Surprisingly, I was enjoying myself. I didn¡¯t think experiencing positive emotions was something possible at the Lycan King''s castle. My right arm began to ache; undoubtedly because of the burn injury. Iid on thewn to rest as my mind swirled with the uncertainness of my future. This is my life now... A servant to a cold-blooded killer whose dog I can apparentlymunicate with. I turned my head to the side and saw Cerberusying next to me. He licked my hand gently as if he was trying tofort me. And while I wanted to get up to go and rest in my room, I found myself unable Content provided by N?velDrama.Org. to. Exhaustion gripped my body tightly as my vision blurred into nothingness, and I passed out. Chapter 5 Chapter 5 Chapter Five Keeping Interests Alive Zacks¡¯ POV I found myself staring at the world below ckwell Hills. I watched the couples who walked hand-in-hand, the children that yed at the park, and the stray cats that slept out in the sun. Something about them now stirred something different inside of me. Something mixed with jealousy. L used to not care about being isted from the rest of the world: especially as it evolved. From horses to cars, from small homes to sky-high buildings. As their world becarne more convenient, it also became dirtier-more greedy. If anything, I was d to have my castle atop ckwell Hills, away from all of that. But as everything around me moved forward, I stayed frozen in ce, tortured by an endless cycle of pain. A part of me ached to be amongst them. A part of me wanted to have another to hold, a son of my own, and less of a monstrosity of a dog for a pet. L yearned to know a life where I wasn''t in a constant state of agitation and pain because the fire within me could never be satisfied. Unfortunately, I knew that that wasn¡¯t the reality I lived in. They feared me and my powers. They feared what I did-what I could do. Plus, with the Fire Wolf inside of me, there was no way I''d be able to live a life of simplicity. The sound of therge wooden doors opening caught my attention as padded paws andbored huffs slowly made their way to me. I knew immediately that it was Cerberus. I turned around to greet my loyal guardian when I noticed a figure lying on his back. Cerberus knew that no one was allowed in the main pce unless I specifically requested their presence. The mes of anger started to ignite. ¡°Cerberus..¡± My voice was calm, although the beast knew that my temper was far from it. I could feel the fire in my eyes begin to burn. ¡°You know better than to bring anyone into this building All content is property ? N?velDrama.Org. without my permission!¡± Cerberus kneeled and allowed the body to gently slide off his back. Afterward, his ears turned downward as he hastily ran out the door. I''ll give you credit¡ªyou''re smart enough to know when leaving my presence is the best thing you can do for your life. Although, I couldn''t think the same for whoever this poor soul was. I suspected it was one of the maids, but it didn''t matter. There would be 98 of them left-more than enough to serve me as needed. Ugh, I need to make it more clear at what times they''re allowed to enter my portion of the pce and when they¡¯re not. allowed my Fire Wolf to take control as its burned my body while it shifted. As I was about to burn the body on the ground, I immediately stopped when I finally saw who it was. Wait... Leaped over the girl''s body and flung open my pce doors. ¡°Cerberus!¡± A few secondster, the beast came back with his head bowed down. I shifted back into my human form. ¡°What is the meaning of this? Why is she here?¡± Cerberus lifted his head and only whimpered. He slowly walked back towards the girl as one of his heads nuzzled her unconscious body. I let out a sigh as I went and kneeled next to the girl. I took her soft and long brown hair in between my fingers as the faint smell of vani wafted into my nose. Interesting... As I observed her body, I noticed a burn mark on her right arm. I immediately thought back to earlier in the day when I burned the werewolf girl who attempted to kill me. This must have been the girl who was standing next to her. I must have burned her by ident, too. I looked down at her delicate features and for the first time, I felt conflicted. This strange woman only interested me because she had stared me down, knowing that I could''ve killed her like I did the other maid. But now to add to that, Cerberus brought her here to me, when under normal circumstances, he probably would''ve just eaten her. "You''re full of surprises, aren''t you¡± However, I also felt a strange sense of guilt. I knew that I meant to kill the other girl, but I didn''t mean for this one to get hurt in the crossfire. It was then that I decided, for the first time, that I was going to save someone''s life instead of taking it. I bit down on my finger and watched as the blood began to pool and drip from the wound. Taking the unconscious girl into my arms, I pressed my bleeding finger into her mouth. After a few seconds, it seemed as if she stirred from her unconsciousness. In doing so, she also began to suck on the blood from my finger. This awakened something in me that I hadn''t experienced before. A sudden cool and gentle wave of ease washed my body. It was like drinking a cold and refreshing lemonade on a hot summer''s day. ¡°This... This feeling..¡± My Fire Wolf hummed in the back of my mind. Even he had calmed down, and the burning sensation that had tortured me for so long stopped entirely. I was too stunned to move. Feelings of rity andfort hugged me like a nket. And the more she drank, the more I could feel something else swirl inside of me. Waves of pleasure rippled throughout my body, and heat began to stir in my stomach. My chest tightened and even the Fire Wolf couldn''t help himself. ¡°I want more of her,¡± his voice in my mind was hoarse as if he was struggling to speak. Lily continued to suck the blood from my finger and while I thought I was imagining things, I could''ve sworn she swirled her tongue around my finger. Vet out a groan. Her subconscious mind must already realize the pull then... The heat continued to spread throughout my body until it reached my groin. But could she really be...? The feelings of pleasure and peace stopped the moment she woke up, however. The girl opened her eyes and fear immediately gripped her as she realized that she had my finger in her mouth. I let out an aggravated groan. Well, there goes my fun. Lily scrambled to her feet as her face lit up a bright red. She backed away a few feet and knelt on the ground. I took a deep breath, then stood up and straightened my back. ¡°What is your name?¡± ¡°Lily... Your Majesty. My name is Lily¡± Her voice was soft yet there was strength in it when she answered me. ¡°Lily... Lily..¡± The Fire Wolf repeated like he was singing a song. The burning sensation came back, and so did the restlessness. While I was normally impatient when dealing with the Fire Wolf, I felt even more agitated than I had before. Anew fire within started to ache in my core. ¡°Mate... Mate!¡± The Fire Wolf began to shout. ¡°Mate! Lily is our mate!¡± That''s when it all started to make sense. Lily not only calmed the Fire Wolf within me, but she was the only one who had ever stirred that much feeling of lust from drinking my blood. Past flings have drank my blood as part of their desire but none of them had sparked pleasure like that before. Not even once. She made me feel excitement, fort, and harmony with myself and this forsaken Fire Wolf. Lily was my salvation from the hell I was forced to live with. I wasn''t going to lose her now. ¡°Well, Lily, consider your status upgraded. You''re now my personal maid.¡± The Novel will be updated first on this website.
