 The Two Woman I Loved. Chapter 1

    IT WAS Steve and Lisa¡¯s first wedding anniversary. Before going to work, Steve informed his wife, ¡°Honey, let¡¯s have dinner outside tonight. Be ready before seven, okay?¡±


    ¡°Okay, honey. I¡¯ll make myself beautifulter, just for you. ¡±


    Steve gave his wife a back embrace when he approached her. ¡°Hmmm, no need, Honey; you¡¯ll look better if you keep it simple. There¡¯s no need to appear stunning; I already know that.¡±


    Lisa turned and looked at her husband with a smile on her face. She touched his cheek and said.¡±Don¡¯t you want me to seem attractive in the eyes of others, honey?¡±

    ON the day Steve¡¯s wife left for America, as he was taking the mother and daughter to the airport. Always be careful there, Honey. You know, I¡¯m not by your side.¡± Steve reminded Lisa as he hugged her.


    ¡°Don¡¯t worry, Honey. I¡¯ll be really careful. Then I¡¯ll call you every day. ¡±

    The sound of the telephone in the living room made Steve dizzy early in the morning. He fidgeted with his phone, trying to figure out what time it was. The ringing stopped. ¡°What? So, who is the person who wants to call at this time?¡± He averted his gaze, but the phone rang again.¡±Ahhh, who is that?¡± he said as he stood up and walked out of his room into the living area. He took the phone in his hand. Who is this, exactly? Can¡¯t you call when the sunes up instead of so early?¡± He answered, but he continued to yawn.


    ¡°He-hello, Steve!¡± Lisa¡¯s mother suddenly cried on the other line.


    Steve wondered why she was crying. ¡°Mommy, what happened? Why are you crying? Something wrong? ¡± Suddenly, he felt nervous.

    Steve staggered to approach the visible wife standing at the sliding door to the small balcony. He was only a few meters away from here. And he would have handled it. She went into their room. She entered their bedroom. Archie was lying down when she approached him. ¡°Love, I¡¯ve already prepared breakfast and am leaving right now.¡±

    ¡°Can I help you, Steve?¡± she asked.     Steve opens the refrigerator.¡±It¡¯s okay, Monalisa. I can handle it.     Monalisa and Steven happily shop for their cooking needs. If you stared at them as they walked to see what they would get, you may think they were a real couple.


    Steve couldn¡¯t put into words how happy he was at the time. It was as though the past hade back to him. When he and his wife go shopping or grocery shopping, they always do so together. He feels he¡¯s already in love with Monalisa. It¡¯s just that there¡¯s no sense of responsibility for the woman. Because it already belongs to someone else.

When her forty-five days were up, he gave all of her new clothes. He burned the used ones. He didn¡¯t see anything. He took his cotton sweater from his closet and remarked, ¡°I guess it¡¯s okay.¡± If she wears it, it will most likely be above her knee.

    Steve smiled. Holding Monalisa¡¯s hand, he took the spoon from it. ¡°Is this for me, it looks so delicious?¡± He asked while mixing the soup.


    Monalisa nodded. She was really ashamed of Steve.

    Steveughed. He put out the fire. He turned to Monalisa. ¡°Are you alright?¡± He asked.

    ¡°Eat first, while the soup is hot,¡± Monalisa replied differently. She took a bowl to put the soup in.


    Steve took the bowl from Monalisa because her hand was trembling.¡±I will do it myself. Sit down.¡± He said because she might be able to release the bowl she was holding.


    Monalisa immediatelyplied, as Steve said.


    Steve felt the doubts in his heart and mind were gone when he saw Monalisa in the kitchen cooking earlier, as if the past hade back to him when he and Lisa were happy cooking their food. They were both happy. What he felt then is back to now. Now he¡¯s happy because someone is taking care of him. After adding the soup to the bowl, he brought it to the table. He sat down next to Monalisa. He tried the soup. ¡°Hmmm, as I say, it¡¯s really delicious!¡± he said.


    Monalisa also tasted the soup. He was right; it was delicious.

She had to drink water just in case she lost her nerves.     She looked at her cell phone when it rang. Archie was calling. She didn¡¯t want to answer. But, she also thought their rtionship was deeply rooted, so she decided to answer. ¡°Hello, Archie.¡±


    ¡°Love, I miss you!¡± he said immediately when he heard her voice.     Monalisa expected this.¡±Do you need anything, Archie?¡± she answered without love.     ¡°Love,e home please!¡±     ¡°Haven¡¯t we talked about it already, Archie? I won¡¯t being back to you again.     You can see the sadness and regret in Archie¡¯s face while looking at Monalisa walking fast to leavethe coffee shop.


    Monalisa¡¯s step grew sorge that she could no longer notice Steve¡¯s car parked on the side of the road.     Steve just let it go, but he will follow her. He turns his car to the other side of the road, but, of course, he still sees Monalisa walking.

    Both Monalisa and Steven have a sparkle in their eyes because in their hearts they are full of happiness.


    Monalisa and Steven enjoyed a joyful marriage as the days passed; the only thingcking was their church vows.


    Steve¡¯s mother loves Monalisa very much. because it is easier to get along with and at ease. It was not like Lisa when they first met;she was very professional. But it is also kind.And she came twice in a week to the couple house to have chat to Monalisa.
