《My Soul Got Stuck In Another Person鈥檚 Body!!》 Chapter 1 I stood by my window as I watched the sun set. The text I just received on my phone made my coffee taste nd and I immediately dropped the mug. My heart began to palpitate. Why did I feel that way? It was caused by the text I just received from my workce. The text said that mypany was going to make an important announcement tomorrow and my attendance was mandatory. My heart beat so fast because I felt that the announcement mypany was going to make concerned invention. My hunch told me so. I worked at an inventingpany. I¡¯ve worked there for over twelve years and counting. Since I was a little boy, I always had this zeal to invent because it made me feel seen, appreciated, alive. It made me experience something else. I chose invention because I obviously wanted to attach something to my life. I felt very privileged and lucky at my workce. I felt d that they¡¯d seen my zeal and skills and hired me. Thepany I worked for was the highest paying inventionpany in the country so I felt really honoured to work there and I gave them my everything. I hadn¡¯t invented anything for the past two years so I felt empty. This work rted text message I just received made me squirm in anticipation. I couldn¡¯t wait for what my bosses had to announce tomorrow. I checked the time. It was half past six now. It was time for my meditation. An inventor could onlye up with clean ideas in a clear head. As I sat down, I crossed my legs and shut my eyes. I took deep breaths, struggling to feel some sort of quiet in the weather, some kind of peace. Then I began to hear sounds. It was a shrill scream and I knew it came from next door. ¡°Damnit!¡± I cursed. Why was it now that I chose to meditate that my neighbors decided to make noise? I ignored the sound and shut my eyes again, trying to concentrate but I heard the sounds again. I listened now. They were moaning sounds. I clenching my fist. Were my neighbors boning while I was trying to meditate in a quiet environment? The thought of pissed me. I shut my eyes again. Concentrate Harley! I chided myself. I just couldn¡¯t. The moans were getting louder. I knew I shouldn¡¯t disturb their love making but I really had to meditate. Before I knew it, my feet carried me outside my porch, outside my gate, and to my neighbor¡¯s house. They left their gate open so I just got in. ********************** ¡°What¡¯s up? Why you banging on my door?¡± My sweaty neighbor¡¯s gruff voice rang in my ears. I studied his expression. He was aggravated. Who wouldn¡¯t be? ¡°Hey man, I came over to tell you that¡¡± How was I going to put it now? Tell your boner to moan silently. You guys are noisy and I need quiet¡. I was supposed to say that, wasn¡¯t I? They disrupted my meditation and I had the freedom to speak my¨C ¡°What¡¯s up, man. What did youe to tell me, I need to get back to business¡± My neighbor said, interrupting me ¡°I¨CI wanted to let you know that¡ I needed to tell you that¡¡± Why the hell was I hesitating? ¡°Look, man, we¡¯ll talkter ¡ª¡± He said and I knew what he was going to do next, he was going to m his door in my face and I¡¯ll end up feeling shitty because I came all the way from my house to say something but I didn¡¯t because I just couldn¡¯t. And then I¡¯d wonder why I didn¡¯t say it and I¡¯ll alsoe to a conclusion that I couldn¡¯t say it because I had a problem with my self esteem¡. And then my warped, straying thoughts would ruin my meditation and my evening. ¡°You moan too loud!¡± I blurted out. I studied my neighbor¡¯s expression again. He was surprised. Then angry? ¡°What?¡± ¡°That¨Cthat is what I came to tell you. I want to meditate and I¡¯m trying hard to concentrate but I can¡¯t because my neighbors want to whole world to know that they are having sex¡± I couldn¡¯t help but inject sarcasm at the end. That was just how I felt. ¡°Dude!¡± My neighbor¡¯s voice rose to an octave ¡°You¡¯re gonna tell us how to bone?¡± ¡°No. I¡ª¡± I was abruptly interrupted by him ¡°You wanna teach me how to sleep with my woman?¡± ¡°Look, man¡¡± ¡°Get the fuck off my porch!¡± He hollered I felt a series of mixed emotions flood through me. One was rage. Full blown rage. The second was indignation. I felt like I was trampled upon. I didn¡¯t like being trampled upon. ¡°No, you tell your slut to shut the fuck up. Why don¡¯t you teach her how to moan?¡± I fired back. Was this me or did I have a split personality? At this moment, I didn¡¯t really understand myself. I didn¡¯t also know how I let those words fly out of my mouth. ¡°Are you trying to start a fight with me?¡± My angry neighbor asked Just then, a blonde woman came out. Wrapping her hands round the man, she asked ¡°Baby, what¡¯s wrong?¡± ¡°This douche here came to lecture us about boning¡± he snorted. ¡°Really?¡± Thedy asked me now I knew I had to leave. It was pointless trying to talk to them. But I didn¡¯t leave Instead, I clenched my fists. What the hell was I nning? ¡°I¡¯m warning you. Keep it down. I won¡¯t let this slide the next time¡± ¡°Are you trying to start a fight with me dude?¡± My sweaty and angry neighbor asked again ¡°Obviously not¡ª¡± ¡°Are you here to give us boning lessons?¡± Thedy asked, curling up to the man like a thirsty cat. It still infuriated me. ¡°I¡¯m not!¡± I snapped ¡°Then bugger off, dude!¡± With that, the door was mmed at my face. I let out an enraged shriek. The door had been mmed at my face. Finally! ¡°Try this again and I won¡¯t let you fuck in peace¡± I shouted after them and I didn¡¯t care if they heard it or not. Stupid, stupid neighbors. Who the hell did they think they were, to disturb my meditation. I kicked against the gravel in fury as I walked home. My meditation and my evening were now ruined!Text ? by N0ve/lDrama.Org. Chapter 2 ¡°I love you too. I love you more!¡± I purred as I spoke to the love of my life over the phone. We were currently on the road, in a car and on our way to my workce. ¡°Bye, my sweet, see youter today¡± Then I hung up. I was so immersed in my call, I didn¡¯t know Dinah was staring at me all through my conversation. I met her mocking gaze ¡°You¡¯re meeting up with Gori after work?¡± ¡°Yes¡± I rolled my eyes ¡°and I told you guys to stop calling him a gori¡± Derek, my boyfriend was nicknamed Gori because of his huge size. The nickname became no secret, as everyone at my workce now called him a gori. It pissed me off when others called him that, but I started calling him first and I thought it was cute whenever he answered me. That¡¯s why I didn¡¯t stop. ¡°Whatever!¡± Dinah dismissed. ¡°We have to be at the office on time. Mrs Tobias is going to give us updates on the promotion today¡± she smiled as she nced at me. ¡°Our promotion!¡± Dinah and I have been colleagues for five years now. We worked in an asset managementpany and in the same office with our cubicles close to one another so we were literally inseparable. We had a lot inmon. We were both bitchy and we lived with our family. ¡°Yes. We have to be at work on time¡± I affirmed, then to the driver, I said ¡°Please, sir, step on it. We don¡¯t want to bete.¡± Then, to Dinah, I said ¡°My promotion, not yours¡± ¡°Its ours. Whatever is yours is mine¡± she grinned I rolled my eyes ¡°Apart from Gori¡± she said in a sing song tone. We bothughed ¡°This week is going to be the best since September!¡± I squealed, raising my hands. Our boss, Mrs Tobias, was going to announce the promotion results this week and I bet I was going to be promoted. And on Thursday, this week was also going to be my three year anniversary with my boyfriend. I felt so ted, just thinking about it. ¡°Whoa babe! Anniversary celebrations iing ¡± Dinah cheered on ¡°So, tell me, how¡¯s it going to be?¡± She asked I grinned from ear to ear ¡°I don¡¯t know, Dinah. I want it simple¡± ¡°Candle lit dinner?¡± She asked ¡°Yes¡± I repliedText ? by N0ve/lDrama.Org. ¡°Movies while indoors?¡± ¡°Yes¡± ¡°A moment in the pool¡?¡± ¡°Yes¡± ¡°A moment in the pool¡. Umm, he goes to the pool first, then you meet him after half an hour, with a sensual song ying¡.¡± ¡°Yes¡± I could hear the excitement in my voice. Dinah knew it all. ¡°Then you enter the pool in slow steps and as his eyes feast on you, you take off your swimsuit in a slow and provocative way¡ª¡± ¡°That¡¯s enough!¡± I flushed. Dinah¡¯s detailed description left little to the imagination. ¡°What, girl? I¡¯m only helping you make that your anniversary easy¡± ¡°It¡¯ll be smooth, nevertheless¡± I said proudly. Derek and I knew how to go with the flow. We didn¡¯t need an outline. ¡°Um, about your promotion, who¡¯speting with you?¡± Dinah asked and it brought down my jolly spirit. ¡°Evelyn Thompson¡± I said ¡°Right¡± Dinah replied. ¡°Forget, that cunt! I¡¯m rooting for you, you¡¯re gonna get the promotion¡± I was going to agree with Dinah on this one. Evelyn Thompson was a cunt! A cunt I so hated with everything I had. She represented everything I disliked. Her nerdy personality, her stupid bob haircut, her freaking work clothes, I hated whenever she and I shed and I hated when she¡¯de up with nerdy, sophisticatedebacks whenever I threw an insult at her. Since I was her pr opposite, I didn¡¯t lose any chance to pester her. I was always in her face, taunting her, trying to bring her to her knees, but she always made out time for my troubles. It was no secret at work that I hated her and she hated me. Our bickering was a constant source of entertainment for our colleagues, but a nuisance to Mrs Tobias, our boss. It was so unfortunate that the promotion was going to be for only one of us. I had to be me! ¡°Yes, Dinah, I¡¯m going to get it. Evelyn doesn¡¯t have any shit on me!¡± ¡°Exactly! Although she might be intelligent, smart and efficient, you¡¯re way better than her¡± ¡°Yes, right?¡± I asked ¡°I¡¯m way better. I¡¯m efficient and I¡¯m a good multitasker. I¡¯m intelligent too. I¡¯m just not nerdy like her¡± ¡°Yeah! That¡¯s the spirit!¡± Dinah hyped. In this situation, I knew it was good to have a best friend like Dinah, who always had my back. ¡°Enough about me¡± I said to her ¡°What about you? Have you finally managed to convince your mom that you¡¯re sexually straight?¡± One thing that made I and Dinah to be best of friends was what we had inmon. We both lived with our parents. We both didn¡¯t have enough money to rent or buy a house or car, because we weren¡¯t good at saving money. It was a tradition to talk about our parents or siblings in the mornings before we began work. If we didn¡¯t talk about them in the car as we went to work then we would talk about them during our lunch break or before we began working Dinah¡¯s mum thought Dinah was a lesbian because she kept on hanging out with me and didn¡¯t have a boyfriend or a fianc¨¦e. ¡°I haven¡¯t¡± Dinah sighed ¡°she still thinks I¡¯m a lesbian, even after I told her that you have a boyfriend¡± Iughed ¡°She thinks I¡¯m in love with you¡± Dinah continued Iughed harder ¡°She thinks I¡¯m in a love triangle with your boyfriend¡± ¡°Your mom¡¯s too conservative¡± I said betweenughs ¡°I know that¡± said Dinah ¡°And your mom is weird. Is she still scared of Derek?¡± ¡°Absolutely!¡± Iughed. Even after I had dated Derek for three years, my mom was still scared of his huge size. It was so ridiculous. ¡°Keep him away from your mom¡± Dinah joked and we both cackled. Ourughter died down when the driver stopped in front of our workce. Chapter 3 The day went by swiftly, to my excitement. From when I woke up till now, it was a minute past nine and I was supposed to be at work by eleven. As I sipped my fruit juice, I decided to go through myptop to pass the time. I went through the inte. Articles, mostly nerdy, scientific stuff, then I came across something. It was an article which talked about a stone. Pfftt! Stone? What was I gonna do with that? I was about to scroll past it but then my hunch told me to read it through. I always listened to my hunch. It talked about soul containment. Two souls in a body? Awesome! If there was anything like that, I thought. Then I saw something about China. Was the stone located in China? I was officially intrigued! I immediately wrote down important contents of the article. Something about this information pulled me closer. If my bosses were going to give us an inventing assignment today, then I think I¡¯m going to need this stone. I didn¡¯t know what it was about this information that fascinated me. I scrolled past it, but before I did, I ced a tab on it. I was going to revisit it. By the time I was done surfing through the inte, an hour had already passed. I had to be in the office on time. I couldn¡¯t afford to be seen as a tardy person in front of my bosses. I immediately rushed to my room to get prepared. I had just an hour to the meeting. I could get dressed in twenty minutes and drive to work in thirty. ******************** Evelyn ¡°Good morning, Mrs Tobias¡± everyone, including me, chorused. Mrs Tobias was my boss and I had to show courtesy, because I respected her and I wanted to get promoted from my post. Fuck! My thoughts were so transparent that I couldn¡¯t even lie to myself.Text ? by N0ve/lDrama.Org. I reluctantly got up this morning after my rm went off. I lived alone so I had only myself to take care of. I wanted to be punctual. I had to be punctual in order to get the promotion. I wanted Mrs Tobias to notice my punctuality and maybe my other promotional qualifications. As Mrs Tobias walked in, I saw Elizabeth Monroe and her friend who¡¯s name I didn¡¯t know lingering behind Mrs Tobias ¡°I¡¯ll help you with your hand bag. It looks heavy¡± I heard Elizabeth say to Mrs Tobias What a sly bitch she is! ¡°Ass kissing isn¡¯t going to get you the promotion, Lizzie¡± Mrs Tobias¡¯s cynical voice rang through. I heard chuckles from my colleagues. Elizabeth must feel humiliated now. The thought of it, gave me immense satisfaction. My gaze met with Elizabeth¡¯s and I smirked. Suck on that! I sometimes wondered why I disliked Elizabeth Monroe so much. We¡¯ve been working in the same space for five years but that bitch didn¡¯t miss any chance to irritate me. She stepped on my toes every fucking time. I obviously didn¡¯t have time for her miscreants, but she always made me notice her. It was bothersome. I didn¡¯t know why our boss decided to make she and I run for a promotional exam. My work attitude was supposed to get me promoted by now. I was diligent and I was kind. I knew how to rte well with my co workers I wasn¡¯t cheeky and indisciplined like someone. I and Elizabeth¡¯s gaze met again. She seemed to be saying something about me to her friend. I red at her. Holding my gaze, she made her way towards me, with her friend following her. ¡°I guess you couldn¡¯t keep your eyes off me, nerd¡± her stupid voice rang through I hated hearing her talk. ¡°What is it you want, Elizabeth¡± I rolled my eyes. I obviously didn¡¯t have time for her early morning drama. She was insufferable. ¡°You wanna know what I want?¡± She ced a cosmetic smile on her face. ¡°I want you to step down. Let go of the promotional offer. It was mine in the first ce¡± My scornful gaze raked her through and through. She was totally delusional. Was she using? I had to sound confident here. It was Elizabeth and her friend against me. Two against one, that meant I had two egos to crush! I forced augh. I felt it was the best thing to do in this scenario As fake as myughter sounded, I still dragged it on and on I could see Elizabeth¡¯s expression. She was livid. Red and hot! Perfect. ¡°What?¡± I asked. ¡°You¡¯re already scared I¡¯m going to get the promotion and you¡¯re gonna be my subordinate?¡± I mocked ¡°Don¡¯t get ahead of yourself, dimwit! I¡¯m only saying this for your own benefit¡± ¡°My benefit?¡± ¡°Yes, sweetheart. I don¡¯t want you to get irredeemably depressed after losing the promotion. I¡¯m just trying to look out for you ¡± she said in fake concern. I smiled. ¡°Why don¡¯t you focus on your self. Don¡¯t be a goddamn hypocrite, Elizabeth. Look out for yourself because you¡¯re gonna be needing it more than me¡± ¡°Excuse me?¡± Her voice went up. At this moment, we had the attention of the entire staff. It was typical. Our colleagues usually looked forward to I and Elizabeth¡¯s fights. It was a source of entertainment to them and a nuisance to our boss. ¡°I¡¯m just saying that you¡¯ll need to brace yourself up. You got no confidence in your self and that¡¯s too bad. I won¡¯t give up my promotion. Not to someone as undeserving as you¡± I fired at her. She scoffed and began to fan herself with her hands. ¡°Do not jump the gun, Evelyn Thompson. You would be gob smacked when you see me get promoted. We don¡¯t need nerds like you ¡± ¡°I¡¯m a glorified nerd, thanks¡± I replied. ¡°And do you mind shifting a bit? Your unwanted presence here is blocking the rays of sunlight ¡± ¡°Of course, I don¡¯t mind, you reek!¡± She flung her hair like a six year old and walked out of my sight, with her friend following her That was savage, Evelyn. I bet you burnt her. I hyped myself. I felt and would always feel hurt by the fact that she called me a nerd. It brought back my painful college memories. I vowed never to let that bitch trample on me. I was going to get that promotion at all costs. Chapter 4 ¡°You are a nobody! Just a self conceited inventor who wants to be better than everyone!¡± I hear those words from my colleagues every passing day. ¡°You need to get out of your shell, invention wouldn¡¯t help you do that!¡± I hear those words from my own parents ¡°Youck an active social life, are you human or just a freak?¡± People tell me these. I had always been a loner since elementary school. I didn¡¯t make friends because people always isted me. If anyone were to befriend me, maybe it was because they wanted to use me. Then I got hired into the best inventionpany and that was meant to elevate my self esteem but it did the opposite. My colleagues isted me. Only my bosses acknowledged me! I wouldn¡¯t even say they acknowledged me, they only acknowledged my inventions not me! I wasn¡¯t close to my old parents. I felt like the ck sheep. I only talked to my younger sister, Dinah. My parents never encouraged me, all they did was lecture me about how I was supposed to live. Well, that was now going to change! ¡°Our inventions are badly needed by four to seven countries ¡± ¡°You guys are required to start inventing by the end of this month. Bring your ideas for surveying, before you start anything¡± Those were the words of my bosses. I was finally given the chance to invent something after two years. I wasn¡¯t going to let this opportunity slide. I was going to use this invention to make people notice me. My invention was going to make my parents ept me! My colleagues were going to hide their faces in shame when they see what I have to offer. I knew exactly what I had to invent and it had to do with that stone. I was going to get my hands on that soul containment stone and¡ Without further dy, I booked a flight to China. I was going to get that stone even if I had tob the entire world in search of it. ********************** Elizabeth I invited my boyfriend, Derek to have dinner at my ce. With my family. I was ted as we all sat at the dinning table, my mom and dad, my younger brother, I and my love, Derek. As we dug into the food, my dad began a small conversation. ¡°Derek, how have you been?¡± ¡°I¡¯ve been doing fine, Sir¡± he replied. His baritone voice made my insides squirm. Oh how I loved this guy. ¡°How¡¯s your mom?¡± My dad asked again ¡°She¡¯s good¡± he replied. Derek lost his dad like seven years ago and it reminded only his mom who lived with his younger siblings. ¡°Dad, enough with the questions, let him eat¡± I intervened, looking at him. I took in his tall and hunky figure again as I ate. Even if I had seen him for three years, it still felt like I was seeing him for the first time. I slowly ced my palm on his ripped arm. As I expected, it felt taut. His tendons were thick and stretched as always. He looked down at me as I marveled at his perfect figure. His brown eyes held a curious edge to it and I smiled my reply. It felt like we weremunicating silently. It was sweet. ¡°It surely isn¡¯t a crime to ask about his well being now, is it?¡± My dad asked, ring at me. ¡°It¡¯s not¡± I smiled. ¡°but it¡¯s wrong when you ask while he¡¯s eating. You can always ask himter¡± I added ¡°It¡¯s okay, baby¡± Derek said as he ced his hand on mine. I grinned like a love sick child as his big palm covered mine. ¡°Thanks for asking about my well being, Sir¡± Derek said to my dad ¡°He¡¯s a polite boy¡± my dad said to my mom. ¡°Of course¡± she smiled ufortably. Yeah! My mom was totally ufortable. When was she going to get used to seeing the guy I¡¯ve dated for three years. Whatever! ¡°Pass me the sd¡± I said to no one in particr. The sd was a bit far from me and I couldn¡¯t reach it. Derek stretched out to get the sd, the same time my mom did and my mom¡¯s hand mistakenly touched Derek¡¯s hand. My mom quickly pulled back her hand and it made all of us, present at the dinning table to burst intoughter. It was such a hrious sight. How could by mom flinch like that? ¡°Mum, when are you going to stop acting weird?¡± I said amidstughs ¡°he¡¯s my boyfriend¡±Property ? of N?velDrama.Org. ¡°I can¡¯t get used to his huge size. No offense, Derek¡± she replied, embarrassed. ¡°Don¡¯t mind her, sweetie¡± I said, touching Derek¡¯s cheek ¡°I¡¯ll still love you the same¡± We stared into each others eyes. I didn¡¯t feel tension or difort, just love for him. ¡°Ew!¡± My younger brother, Jake finally spoke. ¡°Go get a room!¡± ¡°How it going in the office?¡± My dad asked me ¡°It¡¯s fine, dad. I¡¯m still waiting for my promotion results toe out ¡± I replied ¡°Don¡¯t worry about it ¡± he said. ¡°I¡¯m sure you¡¯ll do well ¡± ¡°Of course, dad. No one can beat me, not even Evelyn Thompson¡± I bragged ¡°Who¡¯s Evelyn Thompson?¡± My mom asked ¡°She¡¯s my co worker. She¡¯s on the line for the promotion, together with me¡± ¡°Oh¡± ¡°Yes, mum. She¡¯s the bitch I told you about a few weeks ago. She keeps bothering me at work ¡± I said. Anything to soil Evelyn¡¯s name, count me in! ¡°No name calling at the dinning table, Lizzie¡± my dad said sternly ¡°Sorry dad, but she deserves it¡± ¡°You should learn how to get along with people, not to call them disparaging names behind their backs¡± ¡°Whatever¡± I rolled my eyes. I couldn¡¯t afford to get scolded by my dad because of a bitch who wasn¡¯t even here ¡°I¡¯ll still get the promotion¡± I muttered ¡°She might get it. You should also prepare yourself for that¡± my dad said ¡°Dad,¡± I grumbled. ¡°aren¡¯t you meant to encourage me¡± ¡°I¡¯m on your side. I¡¯m just saying¡¡± ¡°No, dad¡± I cut him off. ¡°let¡¯s drop it. On Thursday is I and Derek¡¯s anniversary¡± I announced, beaming They all congratted I and Derek, after the announcement. ¡°Thanks everyone. I¡¯ll make sure to enjoy my time with him on thursday¡± I said, grinning at my boyfriend. I felt happy when he grinned back. I had the perfect boyfriend, the perfect family and the perfect life. I was going to get a perfect position at work. I wouldn¡¯t let Evelyn Thompson ruin it. Chapter 5 It took me seven days to find the soul stone after I arrived in China, but I did. I finally sat down in a room with a short, fat, ck haired man named Lui Cheng who was supposedly the owner of the stone and two other men in ck. ¡°So¡ here¡¯s the stone¡± Mr Lui Cheng opened a mini box and ced it in front of me. I gasped after I saw what was inside because the jade green coloured stone glowed like hell. ¡°That¡¯s¨C that¡¯s the stone?¡± I managed to ask. I was still bewildered. Mr Lui Cheng smiled ¡°Yes, mister¡± ¡°I want it!¡± I blurted out. I obviously did want it but I didn¡¯t expect to say it as quick and eagerly as I did. ¡°Of course you do¡± the Chinese Mr said. ¡°you¡¯re aware of what it does right?¡± ¡°Yes¡¡± I answered that because of the information about the stone that I read on the article. The information that made me leave everything and book the first flight to China in search of the stone. ¡°It¡¯s a soul containment stone¡± Mr Lui Cheng exined. ¡°it doesn¡¯t have a scientific exnation to it, so I¡¯ll say it¡¯s magic. I¡¯m sorry I can¡¯t tell you where I got it from or where it originated, but just know that it¡¯s old¡± said the Chinese Mr ¡°It¡¯s okay¡¡± I managed, still enchanted by the sight of the stone. ¡°It has other abilities¡ª¡± ¡°Never mind¡± I cut him off. ¡°I¡¯ll find them out by myself¡± ¡°But how do I know if it actually works?¡± ¡°You want me to test it on someone?¡± Mr Lui Cheng raised an eyebrow ¡°Yes, please¡± I couldn¡¯t afford to get scammed I watched as Mr Lui Cheng raised his hand and two men went to him ¡°You know what to do. Show Mr Harley here how the stone works¡± I watched in silence and amazement as one of the men removed the stone from the box and held it for about seven seconds. After seven seconds passed, I saw a bright light, I had to shield my eyes. The two men who were testing the stone had passed out. ¡°What happened to them?¡± I asked Mr Lui Cheng, panicking ¡°They both fainted. That¡¯s the aftermath of using the stone. But not to worry, they¡¯ll wake up soon¡± said an unfazed Mr Lui Cheng I sat in silence as I waited for the men to wake up. I was agitated. Of course why wouldn¡¯t I be? This shit was crazy! It felt like magic and it made me want the stone more. I loved exploring these type of things. After some minutes, one of the men who had passed out woke up. He looked around and touched his body to see if it was intact. ¡°Why isn¡¯t the other one waking up?¡± I asked Mr Lui Cheng as I stood up. ¡°That¡¯s because both their souls are now in a body¡± he tapped the man who woke up ¡°their souls are in the body of this man¡± ¡°Wow!¡± That was all I could say. What I just experienced here, was freaking awesome. ¡°What ¨Cwhat¡¯s gonna happen next? How do you get their souls back in their bodies. Like how do you reverse what¡¯s been done?¡± Mr Lui Cheng opened another mini box and showed me a stone. Another stone. It was a ck shiny stone ¡°This stone reverses what the jade green stone does¡± Mr Lui Cheng said ¡°The both stones works with proximity. As you saw before, the two men who tested the stone were close to eachother¡± Mr Lui Cheng said and handed the ck stone to the man who tested before. The ck stone did exactly what the jade green stone did. The man held the stone and there was a bright light and boom, he passed out again. It was all too much to take in for a day.N?velDrama.Org copyrighted ? content. ¡°I¡¯m ready to take the stone home¡± I finally said ¡°Only the jade green stone or the both?¡± The Chinese Mr asked ¡°Only the jade green stone¡± I replied as my lips curved into a diabolic smirk. ¡°Really?¡± He asked. ¡°what exactly are you using the stone for?¡± ¡°Many things, Mr Lui. I¡¯ve got many things to do¡± I was finally realising my worth. I nned to do evil with this stone. Lots of evil. ********************* Two dayster¡.. Evelyn ¡°It¡¯s nice working with you. Have a nice day¡± I said and dropped the telephone, disconnecting it. I was having a shitty day. First, I woke up this morning to my mom¡¯s call. She wasining to me about my dad and threatening for the hundredth time, to leave him. I managed to calm her down as I prepared for work, then as I was about to drive my car to work, it didn¡¯t start. I had to take the fucking taxi to work. It was so infuriating. And now I¡¯m finally here, at work and I was having the time of my life. Sarcasm intended. When the hell did my fucking boss n to promote me? How long was I going to work in this shit hole of apany before I got promoted to manage another one? Uggghh! Today was going really well for me! I was sarcastic again. ¡°Evelyn Thompson¡± ¡°Elizabeth Monroe¡± I heard my boss call me and my heart skipped. She called both I and Elizabeth. Why? Did she intend to tell us the result of our promotional exam now? I hoped that was the case because I really needed something to brighten up my crappy day. ¡°Yes, Mrs Tobias¡± I and Elizabeth chorused when we got to my boss¡¯s office. Whatever she had to say, she should say it quick because I couldn¡¯t stand staying in the same space as Elizabeth. ¡°I have an assignment for you guys¡± Mrs Tobias said What now? I mentally grumbled. How long were we going to kiss her ass before she got one of us promoted? ¡°I need you both to deliver a few boxes of goods to one of ourpany branches¡± she said ¡°But Mrs Tobias, do the both of us have to go?¡± Elizabeth asked. She beat me to it. ¡°Yes.¡± Mrs Tobias uttered sternly. ¡°You girls have to work out your differences if you want to lead¡± she said with an air of condescension. ¡°The goods are already in thepany car. Go now, the driver is waiting¡± And with that, we both scurried off. Chapter 6 It was a silent and infuriating drive. Evelyn Thompson and the driver both upied the front sit while I sat alone at the back. Tomorrow was I and my boyfriend¡¯s anniversary and the thought of how tomorrow was going to be gave me joy amidst my crappy job. That witch Mrs Tobias who called herself my boss was making me go on a drive with this stupid bitch just for a fucking errand? How long was I going to tolerate that job and my boss? If not for the promotion at hand, I would have quit my job. Fucking hell! Did my boss actually think this drive was enough to settle the differences I had with nerdy Evelyn?Text ? by N0ve/lDrama.Org. I felt like cussing and cussing because I was so freaking mad! But I didn¡¯t like keeping my emotions bottled up. I cleared my throat in a bid to break the ufortable silence. ¡°I¡¯m know Mrs Tobias sent us on this foolish errand for us to make peace. So let me make it clear to you Evelyn Thompson, there is no such thing as peace between us. I¡¯m not making some thing as mawkish as peace with you¡± I said to Evelyn, icily. ¡°We were doing fine before you spoke ¡± she drawled Somehow, I felt prickled by her bored tone of voice. Like she was dismissing me. I always wanted to feel good about myself when I was bickering with her, but I didn¡¯t feel good now. ¡°I wanted to make it clear. I didn¡¯t want you deluding yourself¡± I fired ¡°Thanks very much for making it clear, Elizabeth. It obviously wasn¡¯t clear before¡± she said with sarcasm That bitch! How dare she use fucking sarcasm on me? And why in hell did it suit her so much? It felt like her reply was designed to burn me. ¡°You¡¯ve always been so arrogant, Evelyn Thompson. Always on your fucking high horse¡± I bit out She scoffed. ¡°why don¡¯t you bring me down from my high horse! Blonde bimbo!¡± I gasped. A little too dramatic. ¡°Did you just call me a bimbo?¡± I asked, totally outraged. Evelyn didn¡¯t answer, which annoyed me the more ¡°Ladies, please keep it down. I need concentration while driving¡± the driver said to the both of us but I didn¡¯t care. I was going to give that bitch a fierceeback now. ¡°You just wait!¡± I said to her. ¡°My boyfriend¡¯s going to beat you to a pulp, the next time we meet¡± ¡°Are you talking about the gori?¡± She asked, in a mocking tone ¡°You have no right whatsoever, to call my boyfriend a gori¡± I snapped She giggled. ¡°You know, I¡¯ve been meaning to ask you this, Elizabeth, how¡¯s your sex life?¡± She broke into a giggle again and it angered me. I wondered how she managed tough when I was burning in fury. I wanted to make her burn in fury too. ¡°What¡¯s with your creepy question? Are you jealous because you don¡¯t have a sex life?¡± ¡°On the contrary¡± she said as she faced front. She never turned back through out our bickering and that too, angered me. ¡°I¡¯m just wandering how you guys fuck. You know, with that huge size, your boyfriend¡¯s got¡¡± ¡°That¡¯s none of your freaking business, nerdy Evelyn Thompson. Why don¡¯t you focus on getting a boyfriend first, before you inquire about my rtionship. Of course I shouldn¡¯t even tell you to get a boyfriend because I know it¡¯ll be difficult for you to get one¡± I fired at her. I had finally attacked her where it hurts. ¡°What makes you think so?¡± She asked ¡°Because no man would like to date a nerd. You¡¯re a nerd Evelyn, with a drab fashion sense. I¡¯d be blind first before I date you ¡± I said ¡°That¡¯s not true. I¨CI have an active love¡ life ¡± she said uneasily It was my turn tough. Even if the situation wasn¡¯t that funny, I forced out a scornfulughter because I knew it would hurt Evelyn Thompson¡¯s ass the more. ¡°What do you even know about me, Elizabeth. You know nothing and yet you always run your slutty mouth¡± I leaned over, talking near her. ¡°I know that you can¡¯t ever snag a man, let alone a boyfriend¡± ¡°That¡¯s not true!¡± ¡°Okay, how about we make a bet. I give you two weeks to show me your boyfriend and if you fail to do that, I¡¯ll spread a nasty rumour about you at work. What do you say?¡± I clicked my tongue, I loved throwing challenges. Especially easy ones, like this one. ¡°Deal. And if I win the bet?¡± She asked ¡°I¡¯ll be your ve for a week¡± I replied ¡°It¡¯s agreed on, Elizabeth. Watch how I shame you by getting a boyfriend who¡¯s not way bigger than me and who I wouldn¡¯t struggle to have sex with or who I wouldn¡¯t call a gori because of his size or ¡ª¡± ¡°Are you talking about my boyfriend now?¡± I fumed ¡°You¡¯d be a fool, not to know that¡± she answered ¡°Watch it, Evelyn Thompson! I won¡¯t spare you if you talk ill about Derek ¡± ¡°Oh!¡± She closed her mouth ¡°his name is Derek? I didn¡¯t know that because we all thought his name was Gori¡± This bitch was getting on my nerves again. Why was the driver taking too long to get there? ¡°You know, I¡¯ve always wondered. How do you guys fuck? Who stays on top?¡± She asked mockingly ¡°Because, he¡¯d probably crush you if he stays on top. Or he¡¯d crush the bed. How many beds have you guys used since you started fucking?¡± ¡°Evelyn ¡ª¡± ¡°Oh, no need to get all riled up. I¡¯m just asking innocent questions?¡± ¡°You¡¯re pissing me off, Evelyn. You wouldn¡¯t like the oue¡± I ground my teeth ¡°Okay, here¡¯s another question¡± she said, totally ignoring my warning ¡°You know he¡¯s got a big size and all. Is he also huge, down there? You know what I mean. It¡¯ll be a shame for an intelligent woman like you to date a man with a huge size but an empty brain which I know he has, and also a small ¡ª¡± I couldn¡¯t take it anymore. I warned that bitch. ¡°Shut it¡± I yelled as I pulled a handful of her hair. Letting out a shriek too, she turned and wed at my hair. We were so immersed in our fight, that we didn¡¯t hear the driver¡¯s shouts. From the corner of my eye, I watched as our car swerved as it tried to dodge another car, I swiftly let go of Evelyn¡¯s hair and so did she. I, Evelyn and the driver let out terrified screams as our car brakes lost control and our car crashed into the woods. Chapter 7 Uggghh! My head spinned. Where the hell had wended? I slowly opened my eyes as I looked around my surrounding. Elizabeth was lying next to me and the driver was no where to be found. We must have fallen out of the car, after the ident. I managed to get up as I looked towards Elizabeth. She was the sole cause of this misfortune. I really wanted this fucking day to end! It was just a series of misfortunes for me today. Even if I wanted to hate Elizabeth all the more for this shit show I was in, it had to be when she was awake. I had to hate a conscious Elizabeth. ¡°Hey¡± I called as I shook her. ¡°wake up!¡± ¡°Hey, you don¡¯t get to die on me. Wake up!¡± I shook harder. She moved slightly. ¡°Hey. Lizzie?¡± She opened her eyes slightly, then slowly got up ¡°Did you just call me Lizzie?¡± She asked ¡°Did I?¡± I hadn¡¯t realised I did. Maybe I had a concussion. ¡°Don¡¯t ever call me that¡± she drawled as she held her head ¡°Where are we? What happened?¡± She asked ¡°I don¡¯t know¡± I looked around again, this ce looked very unfamiliar. ¡°What do you mean you don¡¯t know? You woke up before me¡± I let out an exasperated breath. She continued to annoy me, even after gaining consciousness. ¡°Have you forgotten who caused this? We wouldn¡¯t be in this situation if not for your bitchy attitude back there and ¨C¡± ¡°Stop whining. I¡¯ve had enough of you for today¡± she cut me off, rolling her eyes ¡°I¡¯m whining? Am I not supposed to? After what ¡ª¡± I realized I was talking to myself because her attention had been diverted elsewhere. ¡°What¡¯s that?¡± She asked as she pointed towards a shiny object. She began to crawl towards it. ¡°What?¡± I asked as I followed her. She crawled to the object and picked it up. I looked closely at the object in her hand. It was a stone.Text ? by N0ve/lDrama.Org. A very beautiful jade green stone. It looked like it fell out from a box because a ck mini boxy open next to the stone. Where had ite from? ¡°What¡¯s that?¡± I asked stupidly. Maybe I was too bewildered by the stone to form a coherent question. ¡°It¡¯s a stone, stupid¡± she answered ¡°I¨CI mean, what¡¯s it doing here? It¡¯s obviously valuable¡± ¡°I don¡¯t know, Evelyn Thompson. I mean, how would I know why a jade green stone is lying here? The owner must have dropped it¡± We both stared at the stone in silence for some seconds, it was such a beautiful sight. I hadn¡¯t seen such for some time. As we stared at it, both bewitched, a very bright light suddenly shone and I shielded my eyes with my hands. ¡°What¡¯s happening?¡± Elizabeth asked, shielding her eyes too. I stayed like that, for a moment, shielding my eyes, until I didn¡¯t know what happened to me, but I suddenly felt dizzy. Like very dizzy. And¡ I cked out again. *********************** I slowly opened my eyes. I heard voices. They sounded distant but it felt like I was hearing them in my head. My head hurt like crazy. I groaned in pain as I held my head. My body hurt too. It felt like my joints were giving in. I slowly turned. I saw Elizabeth still lying unconscious. Did she always have to be this weak? It pissed me off. In fact, everything about her, pissed me off. She caused trouble and I always had to be the one to clean up her mess. I crawled to her and shook her. ¡°Bitch!¡± I called as I shook. ¡°wake up¡± I shook her harder but still no movement. ¡°Hey, wake up¡± I said No response came from her. ¡°Hey, you cunt! You got us into this ident and I don¡¯t know what you did with that weird stone but we both fell unconscious again and it¡¯s because of you and your impulsive shit! Get up!¡± I smacked her harder but she still didn¡¯t wake up. ¡°Hey, Lizzie?¡± I called. I had to try, maybe calling her Lizzie would wake her up. ¡°Lizzie?¡± I called again but she still didn¡¯t move. I suddenly heard a scream. It was in my head. I heard it so vividly, it couldn¡¯t have been from anywhere else. But what could that be? ¡°Elizabeth Monroe¡± I yelled, frustrated now. When was she going to wake up? Our driver was still no where to be seen. Was he still unconscious? I cursed by boss into the fiery pit of hades, for sending us on this stupid errand. If she hadn¡¯t sent I and Elizabeth, maybe we would have returned safely by now. I wondered why she badly wanted I and Elizabeth to get along. We were like oil and water. We had been rivals for five years. We were never going to get along. But that didn¡¯t mean I wanted to see Elizabeth unconscious. She had to wake up for us to get out of here. Following my instincts, I ced a finger under her nose to feel her breathing. I didn¡¯t feel anything. She wasn¡¯t breathing. Panic tore through me. ¡°Elizabeth?¡± I grabbed her shoulders and shook the shit out of her, but she still didn¡¯t wake up. I could feel tears burning inside my eyes? Was she dead? What the fuck did that stone do to the both of us? Where was the stone? I looked around for it and I quickly found it. It still shone like nothing happened. What was this stone? I grabbed the stone and ced it inside the box where it came from, then I put it in my purse. I suddenly heard a scream again. Then I heard a voice ¡°Is that me?¡± The voice said What the fuck was happening to me? I was hearing voices now? Tears ran down my face. Why did today have to be so crappy and bizzare? I looked at Elizabeth. That bitch wasn¡¯t breathing. I quickly grabbed my phone from my purse and called an ambnce. The ambnce was going to get here soon. I hoped nothing happened to Elizabeth in the meantime. Chapter 8 ¡°what do you mean, you lost the stone?¡± I yelled fiercely to the boys who stood in my front with their heads bowed. While returning back from China, I knew I couldn¡¯t take the stone with me so I hired a couple of boys or thugs, whatever and I sent them to fetch the stone ahead of me. That was my only mistake! I couldn¡¯t book a flight back from China with the stone because I knew it would get confiscated at the airport, so I sent it by sea. All these boys had to do was to get me my stone! But now¡ I didn¡¯t want to let the stone go. After I had purchased it from Mr Lui Cheng, I possessed it for two straight days, staring at it all day long as invention ideas stormed through my head. I already had an invention idea. It was a masterpiece and it had to do with the stone. But these fools in front of me, lost the stone. ¡°We are sorry, boss. We were on our way to you, but our car crashed into another car. We lost the stone in the ident. We¡ª¡± he stopped talking as my hand connected with his face. He staggered back. ¡°Search for my stone¡± I yelled ¡°I¡¯ll kill you if you don¡¯t return with my stone¡± I said it and I meant it. I didn¡¯t know I had a violent side but now the stone had brought it out. I couldn¡¯t afford to get mocked by my fellow inventors at the office, or my bosses, or my parents. I wasn¡¯t going to fail this time. I was going to retrieve my stone and I would eliminate anyone who stood in my way! ********************** Evelyn ¡°Where am I?¡± ¡°What¡¯s happening?¡± ¡°Evelyn Thompson¡ Evelyn¡¡± I heard these voices in my head. They were getting more vivid and it felt like I was going crazy. What the fuck did that jade green mysterious stone do to I and Elizabeth? I was in the hospital now. As I sat down amidst the rowdiness, I felt uneasy. What was going to happen to Elizabeth? The driver got admitted too. Was he going to be okay? Why did I keep hearing these fucking voices in my head? Elizabeth¡¯s parents were called to the hospital. I watched as they moved around in panic. They were restless. I was too. ¡°Those are my parents¡ where the fuck am I?¡± I heard the voice in my head again. No! I wasn¡¯t going crazy. I was sane. I was totally fine. I couldn¡¯t possibly ¡ªText ? by N0ve/lDrama.Org. ¡°Where¡¯s Evelyn Thompson? Where am I?¡± The voice rang loudly, through my head again. I looked around. I wasn¡¯t sitting close to anyone. So where did the voicee from? I needed to see a doctor. I had to before I totally lost it. I walked straight to the hospital counter, where the receptionists stood and I asked them for the doctor. They directed me to the doctor who was avable and I went straight to the office. ¡°What can I help you with, Miss¡± a male doctor who looked in his forties, asked I gulped. This was going to be difficult to say. What if the doctor also thought I was crazy? Did I need a psychiatrist? I was going to spit it out now, here¡¯s my chance¡. ¡°Um¡ Sir. I have a problem. I got into this little ident and¡¡± I couldn¡¯t tell him about the stone, I was just going to look more crazy to him if Iplicated my problem. ¡°Uh¡ I¡ uh stared hearing voices?¡± I stared at him intently, to know his reaction. ¡°What¡¯s your name?¡± The doctor asked ¡°I¡¯m Evelyn. Evelyn Thompson¡± ¡°Okay. You said that you hear voices?¡± He asked in a preupied tone as he finally looked up from hisputer. ¡°Yes, doctor¡± ¡°But you don¡¯t see the person who¡¯s talking¡± ¡°Yes¡± ¡°You¡¯re having auditory hallucinations¡± he said, his gaze darting to me and hisputer. ¡°What?¡± I was confused now ¡°When did it start. I mean when did you start hearing these voices¡± ¡°Earlier today¡.¡± Oh man, I wish I could go into the details. I wish I could say that it was all that darned stone¡¯s fault. Or even Elizabeth¡¯s fault! ¡°I¡¯m going to conduct a brain scan on you¡ If that¡¯s okay¡¡± The doctor said ¡°I¡¯m ready¡± I bit down hard on my lip. An hourter, it waspleted. The scan and the test results. ¡°Miss Thompson, I didn¡¯t find anything¡ I mean there¡¯s nothing wrong with you¡± said the doctor. What? I was going crazy here. The intensity of the voice had increased and I kept hearing¡ ¡°Who¡¯s this¡¡± ¡°Where am I?¡± ¡°Wait. Am I in a hospital?¡± I kept hearing these voices over and over. I was having auditory hallucinations. Yes! Those were the symptoms. But the doctor just said something else¡ ¡°Wait! Sir, what do you mean there¡¯s nothing wrong with me? I¡¯m hearing voices. Don¡¯t you get it? I¡¯m loosing my shit here!¡± ¡°Miss Thompson, do you have any sleeping disorders?¡± ¡°No¡± I never did ¡°Have you experienced a brain tumor or seizures?¡± ¡°Never¡± The doctor and I stared at each other in bewilderment. ¡°Miss Thompson, are you sure about that?¡± ¡°Yes! Fuck! I¡¯m sure!¡± I yelled, frustrated. ¡°You know what, I¡¯m leaving!¡± I said as I grabbed my purse and stormed out of the office. This day couldn¡¯t get any worse. It just couldn¡¯t. I knew what I needed. A nice, hot and bubbled bath and a three to five hour rest, under the air conditioner. Then this nightmare would go away. I¡¯m going home now! I¡¯ve had enough of this whole day. But first, I had to use the restroom. Thedies room was easy to find. I quickly got into the toilet, eased myself and went to the sink to wash my hands. I looked into the mirror as I washed my hands. I stared at myself. What the hell was wrong with me today? I heard a loud scream. It was so loud that I screamed along. What the freak? What was that? ¡°Evelyn Thompson?¡± The voice in my head called ¡°Yes, that¡¯s me! Who¡¯s that? Where are you?¡± I looked around. Luckily, I was the only one in the restroom. Anyone else would have thought I was crazy. But then maybe I was, because I was answering a voice in my head! ¡°It¡¯s me. It¡¯s Lizzie. Elizabeth Monroe¡± ¡°Elizabeth?¡± I asked ¡°where are you?¡± ¡°I don¡¯t know, Evelyn. I think I¡¯m inside you.¡± She said ¡°Inside me?¡± I scoffed as my eyes searched round the toilet. I opened every cubicle but there was no one here. ¡°Stop bullshitting Elizabeth, where the hell are you?¡± ¡°I¡¯m inside of you. I don¡¯t know what¡¯s happening, but I see whatever you see. I saw my body, back then, I saw the ambnce you called. I don¡¯t know but I just saw this ce¡ and my parents and the doctor¡ what¡¯s happening?¡± I slumped on the floor. I had lost it. I was done for. ¡°What are you saying¡¡± I whispered to no one in particr ¡°I¡¯m telling you the truth. Why would I y games? I¡¯m going crazy here too!¡± Wait! Ghost! What if I was talking to a ghost. Maybe Elizabeth had died and her ghost¡ But if it was a ghost, I wouldn¡¯t be hearing Elizabeth¡¯s clear voice in my head. This happened all because of that stone. I grabbed my purse and brought out the ck box where the stoney. I opened the box and brought out the stone ¡°Yes!¡± I heard Elizabeth¡¯s voice in my head again. ¡°it¡¯s the stone. That darned stone¡¯s responsible for this¡± ¡°What¡¯s it about?¡± I whispered. I was finally conversing with myself. Next level crazy. ¡°I think it¡¯s magic. I held the stone and my soul entered your body¡¡± Yes! That was the only irrational exnation to this scenario, we coulde up with. Elizabeth¡¯s soul was in my body! Chapter 9 I made my way out of the restroom in sluggish steps. I ignored Elizabeth¡¯s talkative voice in my head as I walked. What the hell had I gotten myself into? How could I have someone¡¯s soul inside me? How do I even get it out? I saw Elizabeth¡¯s parents standing in the hospital hallway. They both spoke with the doctor. ¡°Mum!¡± Elizabeth called from inside me ¡°She can¡¯t hear you, dumbass!¡± I replied. To me, I was talking to Elizabeth but to anyone else, I was talking to myself. Bat shit crazy! ¡°Go meet my mom¡± she saidProperty ? of N?velDrama.Org. I was going there already. ¡°No doctor, there must be a malfunction somewhere¡ please¡¡± Elizabeth¡¯s mom was sobbing ¡°I¡¯m sorry¡± the doctor said to them ¡°No! My daughter cannot be dead. What¡¯s going on?¡± Elizabeth¡¯s dad asked the doctor ¡°Mum! Dad! I¡¯m not dead, I¡¯m here ¡± she said They can¡¯t hear you! Uggghh! This exined everything. Elizabeth¡¯s soul was inside my body and a body couldn¡¯t stay without a soul so Elizabeth was literally dead. Fucking hell! Everything was driving me crazy, everyone! I watched as Elizabeth¡¯s mom let out a shriek and slumped on the floor ¡°My Liz¡± she cried. The hospital had this dreary vibe and I couldn¡¯t stand it no more. I had to get out of here. I didn¡¯t have the strength to weep for the dead Elizabeth because she wasn¡¯t actually dead. Her carking voice bothered me all day long. In seconds, I had already gotten into a taxi and I was headed home. ¡°Why didn¡¯t you stay with my parents? You could have at leastforted them!¡± Elizabeth whined. It was aggravating enough to hear her voice in my head constantly, but I didn¡¯t want her to annoy me the more by saying stupid things. ¡°Why should I stay with them? And why on earth should Ifort them? Did I cause this?¡± I bit out, icily The driver looked at me. His nervous eyes, sizing me. ¡°Are you okay, miss?¡± He asked I managed an embarrassed nod. I was talking to Elizabeth who was inside me, but anyone would think I was talking to myself. I hadn¡¯t realised that. I wasn¡¯t going to let her turn me into a crazy person. ¡°Did you see what just happened?¡± She asked. ¡°the driver thought you were crazy when you replied me like that ¡± I could hear her chuckle. What a mischievous bitch she was! ¡°As crazy as this sounds, Evelyn, I¡¯m the one losing here. I don¡¯t even know where I am and I can only see what you see. We have to figure out a way to get my soul back in my body!¡± She said. Valid. That was the only thing I agreed with her on since today. She kept on talking but I didn¡¯t reply until I got home. After I paid the driver, I ran into my house and shut the door like I was being chased. Then I let out a scream. It was like my release. All the fucking pent up emotions I held in since today, had to get out. ¡°WHAT¡¯S GOING ON! HOW CAN I HAVE YOUR SOUL IN MY BODY AND LISTEN TO YOUR IRKSOME VOICE ALL DAY LONG!¡± I yelled. I needed an exnation to all these. If only I could get one. ¡°I don¡¯t know! How would I? I¡¯m as confused and lost as you are!¡± She replied ¡°Let¡¯s go down the memoryne¡ We had the ident, we both passed out then woke up, you found the stone, you held it, then we both saw a bright light and we passed out again right?¡± I asked. I was recalling well¡ ¡°Yes, that¡¯s what happened, after we passed out, I woke up in this darkness, it felt like I was floating in this dark space, then I saw my body¡± she said ¡°Oh my God!¡± I gasped ¡°it¡¯s the stone¡± I rified ¡°Apparently¡± ¡°What are we going to do now? How do we reverse this mess?¡± I asked, running my fingers through my hair. I was stressed out in just a day. Elizabeth kept silent for a while, then said ¡°Uh¡ I have a n¡¡± ¡°Spit it out ¡± ¡°You know, since we got into this mess because I held that weird stone, why don¡¯t you hold the stone again, let¡¯s see what¡¯s going to happen¡± she said That was a great idea. I quickly grabbed the stone from my purse and held it. We both waited silently for a minute. Nothing happened. ¡°Maybe you should hold the stone with both hands, I did that¡± she said ¡°Does that matter?¡± I dropped the stone in anger. ¡°That didn¡¯t work, Elizabeth, think of something else!¡± ¡°I can¡¯t think of anything else!¡± ¡°What do we do now? We can¡¯t let others keep believing that you¡¯re dead when you¡¯re not¡± I had been standing in one spot since I got home. I hadn¡¯t even undressed or taken the hot bath I wanted to take. ¡°First, we have to retrieve my body¡± she said ¡°Re¨Cretrieve? You mean I have to touch a dead body?¡± ¡°Yes, asshole! You need to keep my body close, so when we figure out how to get my soul out, I¡¯ll be entering my body¡± ¡°This is your shit now, Elizabeth, why do I have to get involved?¡± I grumbled ¡°It¡¯s our shit! We both share your body now so you have to get involved if you want to own your body back¡± She was right. I had to acknowledge, we were in this mess together. ¡°How do I get your body? I can¡¯t steal it because I don¡¯t even know where it is¡¡± ¡°My parents are going to conduct a funeral for me, so¡¡± ¡°Wait! Are you saying I¡¯ll exhume your body after the funeral?¡± ¡°Yes. You have to do it, Evelyn. That¡¯s the only way to retrieve my body without my family suspecting you¡± As if conversing with a voice inside my head wasn¡¯t enough, I was also going to dig out a body from its grave. How worse could my new life get? Chapter 10 Today was Elizabeth¡¯s funeral. God I hated being here! Why did I even have to be here? I had no choice in the matter. Everyone was present. Our colleagues, Mrs Tobias, the witch who was responsible for this mess after all because all these wouldn¡¯t have happened if she hadn¡¯t sent us on that stupid errand. Elizabeth¡¯s parents and rtives¡ Everyone cried. Even stupid Elizabeth cried. I kept hearing her cries inside my head and of course it infuriated me. Maybe I was the only one who didn¡¯t cry, but gawked at people like a groupie. Elizabeth¡¯s wails in my head, got louder. ¡°Hey¡± I called. ¡°can you shut up?¡± She ignored me and continued crying ¡°Shut your mouth, Elizabeth, you¡¯re a nuisance¡± I was lucky no one heard me. I wasn¡¯t exactly standing close to anyone. ¡°Leave me alone! How can I not cry at my own funeral?¡± ¡°Funeral?¡± I scoffed ¡°Have you forgotten who¡¯s life you¡¯re burdening?¡± ¡°It¡¯s my funeral, Evelyn. My fucking funeral. My mom and dad and aunty May and my younger brother, even Derek is here. I see them all but I can¡¯t touch them because they all think I¡¯m dead¡¡± ¡°But¡ª¡± ¡°My baby, Derek. It¡¯s five days past our anniversary. I nned so much for that day, but I couldn¡¯t celebrate because I¡¯m stuck here¡± ¡°You think I¡¯m enjoying this shit?¡± ¡°I don¡¯t know, Evelyn Thompson. Please just let me cry¡¡± She said and resumed crying and I couldn¡¯t stop her this time. I didn¡¯t want to. I pitied her. In fact, I pitied our situation. I was not the type to show emotions like that, but now, I really felt like crying. The burial proceeded and Elizabeth¡¯s body was now a few feet underground. ¡°Can we, I mean can I go now? I know where the body is buried. I cane back and exhume it¡± I asked. She didn¡¯t answer. I guess she hadn¡¯t stopped crying. I left the mortuary and went to my car. I started the engine and began to drive. I just wanted to get out of there. ¡°When are you nning to exhume my body?¡± She finally asked ¡°This night. I have a shovel in the back seat. I¡¯ll get your body out and send it to a private funeral home¡± She didn¡¯t respond. It¡¯s not like I wanted her to. ****************** Elizabeth If someone had told me that I¡¯ll be trapped in my rival¡¯s body, then I would have called his or her bluff I had just gotten back from my own funeral and I was forced to go wherever Evelyn Thompson went. ¡°Where are we going? Why aren¡¯t you saying anything?¡± I asked her. The silence was making me uneasy ¡°I don¡¯t know, Elizabeth. I¡¯m thinking of the best way tomit suicide while driving¡± ¡°What?¡± She was impossible! ¡°I don¡¯t know if I should just drive into a car or crash into a tree¡¡± ¡°What the you saying? Have you gone mad?¡± ¡°Yes. Maybe¡± ¡°You know if you die, it means we¡¯ll both die¡± I said. Maybe she¡¯d forgotten ¡°I know that. That way, I can take revenge on you for pestering me all these years¡± Was she serious? Was she going to kill us both? Uggghh! Thisdy was and will always be an insufferable cunt! ¡°You know you caused all these¡± she suddenly said ¡°Caused what?¡± ¡°This mess with the stone and everything¡¡± ¡°I didn¡¯t cause anything¡± I protested. ¡°You¡¯re the one who caused it¡± ¡°If you hadn¡¯t pulled my hair back then in the car, then that ident wouldn¡¯t have happened¡± True! But she was missing the part where she annoyed me which made me pull her hair ¡°You started it! You insulted my boyfriend and you know I don¡¯t tolerate insults directed at Derek!¡± ¡°Whatever!¡± She dismissed. ¡°you also annoyed me. We both annoyed eachother. If you hadn¡¯t began talking then it wouldn¡¯t havee to that¡± She was right again. Pfftt! Duh! ¡°And you even touched the stone. No one asked you to touch the stone?¡± She asked and It felt like she was lecturing me. Who the hell did she think she was? ¡°I didn¡¯t need nobody to tell me to touch the stone, it was shiny, duh!¡± ¡°Are you always going to be an impulsive dimwit? Look what you¡¯ve done¡± ¡°And I¡¯m sure you¡¯d like to rub it in, huh? Asshole!¡± I fired back ¡°Bitch¡± she cussed at me ¡°Cunt!¡± ¡°You know, I¡¯m not going to do this with you¡± she said ¡°It¡¯s seven in the evening now, I should go dig out your body ¡± She reversed the car and drove back to the mortuary. ***************** Evelyn This was going to be harder than it sounded. I hadn¡¯t handled a shovel before and I obviously didn¡¯t know how to exhume a body. ¡°Come on!¡± Elizabeth hyped from inside my head. This is property ? of N?velDrama.Org. ¡°Easier said¡± I ground out. I stabbed the shovel in the ground, and I dug out the sand. I did it continuously until I reached halfway through. I slumped on the sand as fatigue took control of my body. ¡°Tired too soon, aren¡¯t you?¡± She teased ¡°Why don¡¯t you dig, if you can ¡± ¡°You know I can¡¯t¡± ¡°So please shut up!¡± ¡°You know I don¡¯t like to take orders from you ¡± she pped back ¡°And there¡¯ll be no one to dig out your body if you keep running your slutty mouth ¡± She now kept quiet. At least I could think in peace now. After I deposit Elizabeth¡¯s body in a funeral home, I was going to have to pay them to preserve her lifeless body That wouldn¡¯t be a problem. Then I would drive home, conduct a few researches on how to get her darn soul out of my body, then I¡¯ll take a hot shower and¡ ¡°Hey!¡± Elizabeth¡¯s irksome voice cut through my thoughts. ¡°are we going to sleep here?¡± Just freaking great! I¡¯ll keep going through this. Elizabeth Monroe¡¯s voice in my head and her soul in my body. What more could anyone ask for? Chapter 11 I assembled all the boys I hired. They were lined up in front of me and I red furiously at them. ¡°Any news on my stone?¡± I asked them ¡°No, boss¡± they chorused ¡°You haven¡¯t found my stone?¡± I bellowed. ¡°You haven¡¯t?¡± ¡°No¡¡± At that moment, I saw red. A dagger was near me. It was unpremeditated. All I could think of was the anger and frustration I felt. I immediately grabbed hold of the dagger and stabbed one of the boys with it. I staggered back, shell shocked, when I realized what I did. The guy I stabbed fell down and the other guys rushed to hold him steady. ¡°Find my stone!¡± I screamed. I was going to do worse than stabbing if I didn¡¯t get that stone. It had be my life. My passion. I was driven by it. I couldn¡¯t think of anything else except it. If I didn¡¯t find it, I didn¡¯t know what I¡¯d do next. ****************** Evelyn The days went by like a blur. I couldn¡¯t believe a week had gone by since Elizabeth¡¯s funeral and body exhumation. Back to Elizabeth Monroe. I couldn¡¯t fathom her. She and I wereplete opposites. We argued over everything. My clothes, the colour of my bedsheets, my haircut, the size of shoes I wore, everything. Someone would think I was arguing with an actual human but the truth remained that I was arguing with a voice in my head. I still had to convince myself that I wasn¡¯t insane. Elizabeth was impossible. She kept badgering me about her family and her boyfriend and how she missed them. ¡°Could you be more cruel, nerdy Evelyn Thompson? I haven¡¯t seen Derek or my parents for a long time and ¡ª¡± ¡°That¡¯s not my problem¡± I cut her off ¡°You have to take me to them. I want to see them¡± she whined ¡°Stop whining in my ear¡± I said ¡°I won¡¯t stop until you agree¡± she said. ¡°are you this mean? Why do you keep me from seeing my family? I¡¯ve lived with them all my life and now I¡¯m trapped in your body and I can¡¯t do anything about it. I told you that I see whatever you see. Can¡¯t you grant me this wish? Uh? Evelyn Thompson?¡± She babbled. I didn¡¯t want to seem like a heartless monster, so I agreed ¡°Fine¡± I said ¡°but I can¡¯t let you see both your family and your boyfriend, at least not today¡± ¡°Agreed¡± she said ¡°Now you have to choose one¡± I said ¡°Um¡ let¡¯s go see Derek¡± she said ¡°Right¡± Minutester, I was ready and driving to see someone else¡¯s boyfriend. What more would I do for you, Elizabeth Monroe? She chirped non stop while I drove and it angered me so I just drove faster, until I got there. ¡°He lives here¡± she told me and I went there and knocked on the gate. After what seemed like a minute, he came out. What my colleagues said were true. This guy was huge! I had seen him before but not as up close as this. Somehow, I felt like cowering away, but I¡¯de here, hadn¡¯t I? I couldn¡¯t go back now. I could hear Elizabeth¡¯s squeals in my head. ¡°Derek, baby, how have you been? I missed you¡± she said Uggghh! How mawkish! Didn¡¯t she realise that Derek wasn¡¯t hearing her or when was she going to realise that? ¡°Please, Evelyn, go inside his house. I just want to see his house again and hear his voice a little¡± she said to me. Ugh! What a pain! ¡°Who are you?¡± He asked when he saw me. ¡°Uh¨C I¡¯m Elizabeth¡¯s friend¡± I managed ¡°Haven¡¯t heard of you before¡± he said ¡°I¨CI just want to talk to you. It won¡¯t take long¡± I said ¡°Okay,e in¡± His house had a peaceful and rxing environment. I came in and took a seat in the sitting room. ¡°Wait here. I¡¯ll be back¡± he said to me and left. ¡°Are you happy now?¡± I mumbled. I didn¡¯t want her boyfriend to hear me. Of course he¡¯d think I was speaking to myself and he¡¯d assume I¡¯m crazy. ¡°Yes, yes. Thanks. I misseding here, so badly¡± I smiled as I listened to her ted chirp. I don¡¯t know why but it felt good. I sat and waited for some time but Derek didn¡¯te out. What was he doing wasting my time like this? Then I heard shrill sounds. It sounded like a woman¡¯s voice. Wait! Did he have a guest? ¡°Does your boyfriend live alone?¡± I asked her ¡°Yes, he does¡± I listened quietly. I could hear the sounds clearly now. They were moaning sounds. I stood up. ¡°Do you hear that too?¡± Elizabeth asked, her voice shaking I didn¡¯t know what led me, but I followed the sounds. I was wandering around in a stranger¡¯s house but I didn¡¯t care. I stopped at the door where the sounds came from. I hesitated ¡°Is Derek doing what I¡¯m thinking?¡± Elizabeth asked, her voice, barely a whisper I pushed open to the door. It was exactly what I and Elizabeth imagined. Who wouldn¡¯t imagine sex after hearing moaning sounds. Derek was under a brte, who straddled him. They were obviously into their love making. She quickly covered herself with the sheets when she saw me. ¡°What the hell?¡± Derek said as he struggled to put on his underwear. I could already hear Elizabeth¡¯s sobs inside my head.Text ? by N0ve/lDrama.Org. Angerced through me. I went to Derek. In short steps, I already covered the distance between us. I raised my hand and gave Derek a loud and painful p. ¡°I waited for you out there, while you were busy fucking this slut?¡± I bit out ¡°What¡¯s it to you? How dare youe ¡ª¡± ¡°Your girlfriend ¡± I shouted, my voice cutting his off. ¡°She died just when? A few weeks ago and you¡¯re fucking someone else? So quickly?¡± ¡°Should I mourn her for the rest of my life?¡± He barked I red at him intently. I didn¡¯t even realize that I was so mad. Wait! Why was I mad because the gori cheated on Elizabeth? I couldn¡¯t care less about her? So why was I so furious? Maybe because Elizabeth wasn¡¯t actually dead and this brute was busy fucking another woman. ¡°You¡¯re shameless, undeserving and a total waste of my time¡± I spat out at him and stormed off. Maybe Elizabeth should have chosen to visit her parents today, then she wouldn¡¯t have seen this. Chapter 12 We were all standing. It was like a meeting at my office. The only difference was that we were standing. Mrs Tobias had something to say so we all stood and waited as she took the floor. ¡°A few weeks ago, I announced a vacancy at one of ourpany branches and a promotional offer was ced here, right?¡± Our boss asked ¡°Bitch!¡± I heard Elizabeth wail in my head. ¡°Nasty bitch! She¡¯s going to talk about the fucking promotion now that I¡¯m dead?¡± ¡°Shut it¡± I mumbled, covering my mouth slightly. I was in my office now, in the midst of people and I didn¡¯t want them thinking I was crazy because I was going to reply Elizabeth. ¡°For thest time, you¡¯re not dead!¡± I said ¡°you¡¯re just a burdensome tenant ¡±Text ? by N0ve/lDrama.Org. ¡°Burdensome tenant?¡± She scoffed ¡°Yes. You live in my body so you¡¯re like a tenant who¡¯s bringing me burdens¡± I said ¡°Great choice of words, nerdy Evelyn Thompson. You¡¯ve sessfully hurt my feelings ¡± she wailed dramatically ¡°I don¡¯t give a damn about your feelings ¨C¡± I paused my monologue abruptly as someone¡¯s gaze darted towards me I managed an awkward smile. ¡°I won¡¯t let you drive me crazy ¡± I mumbled and ignored the rest of her speech as I now focused on what Mrs Tobias had to say. ¡°¡ And since Miss Elizabeth Monroe is¡ I¡¯m sorry to say¨C is dead, I hereby offer the promotion to Miss Evelyn Thompson¡± Mrs Tobias said. I was bewildered. Of course I didn¡¯t see that oneing. The promotional offer I obsessed about for weeks was finally offered to me on a silver tter, all because of Elizabeth¡¯s supposed death. How ironic! ¡°No!¡± I heard her screams in my head. ¡°That¡¯s foul y, Mrs Tobias. I¡¯m not dead, I¡¯m just trapped¡¡± Her voice waned like a deted balloon. ¡°It¡¯s no use, no one will hear me¡± she sighed, defeated. ¡°Finally, you understand that¡± I said, mercilessly My colleagues pped for me, following Mrs Tobias¡¯s announcement. I felt like a star with my trophy being handed down to me. ¡°You always love to rub your victory in, right? Like a kid who¡¯s just received a lollipop¡¡± Elizabeth¡¯s carking voice began in my head but I didn¡¯t listen. I didn¡¯t want to because Mrs Tobias was about to say something. ¡°Now.¡± Mrs Tobias began. ¡°I want to ask something. Is there any one here who objects?¡± Object? Like who would? Everyone knew I deserved this. ¡°Is there any one who objects on Miss Evelyn Thompson¡¯s promotion? I just want to know¡± A tension filled silence filled the office, after Mrs Tobias¡¯s question. I was the most tense. Even Elizabeth didn¡¯t make a sound. ¡°I object!¡± We all heard it and turned to see who it was. Behold, it was Mason McDonald. Him? I was shell shocked. The hot geek. That¡¯s what he was nicknamed. He was characterized by entric, workaholic and anti social behaviour. Even though he was handsome, he never got along with people. At least he didn¡¯t get into fights and arguments like me. He was literally invisible, that¡¯s why we hadn¡¯t noticed one another or shed before. Until now. What the hell was his deal with me? Who was he to object? And first of all, why had Mrs Tobias asked this dumb question? She obviously wanted to aggravate my shit. She straight up didn¡¯t want to get me promoted. ¡°Mason the hot geek?¡± I heard Elizabeth¡¯s curious voice ¡°Apparently ¡± I stated ¡°What¡¯s his deal?¡± ¡°We¡¯re about to find out ¡± ¡°Mason¡± Mrs Tobias said, her sly lips curling into a smile I so badly wanted to wipe off. ¡°Can you tell us why you object to Miss Thompson¡¯s promotion?¡± ¡°I feel like it should bepeted for. Evelyn and Elizabeth were on the run for the promotion. Now that Elizabeth¡¯s dead, I don¡¯t think it¡¯s right to get Evelyn promoted just like that¡± he said. I couldn¡¯t believe the affronting words that spew out of Mason¡¯s mouth. They all knew Ipeted fair and square for that fucking promotion! I was on the verge of cussing out loud in the office. ¡°Is that what you guys also think?¡± Mrs Tobias asked the staff, my co workers. Inaudible murmurs broke out in the office. People murmured in groups, in twos, some to themselves. While I talked to Elizabeth. I guess you could call it, talking to myself too. ¡°She¡¯s ying a game. She¡¯s freaking deceitful¡± I said to Elizabeth ¡°Yes, right? We should have caught on. She probably has some dirty tricks up her sleeve¡± She replied. At least we both agreed on one thing. Our boss was a cunning bitch! ¡°Since, I¡¯m getting no responses from you lot, I¡¯ll just take on Mason¡¯s suggestion. Evelyn Thompson and Mason McDonald are now going topete for the promotion¡± And with that, she went back to her office. No, no, no! I wasn¡¯t going down without a fight or at least a confrontation. I followed Mrs Tobias to her office. It was located in a different ce from ours but not too far away. ¡°That¡¯s unfair, Mrs Tobias. I deserve that promotion¡± I said to her in a firm voice. ¡°Mason deserves it too¡± her air of condescension remained put. ¡°I took the exam! Ipeted with Elizabeth!¡± ¡°You¡¯ll retake it with Mason. Look, Eve, I believe in fairness. Your co workers don¡¯t think it¡¯s fair for you to get promoted withoutpeting¡± ¡°Bullshit!¡± I blurted out before I could stop myself. I was so enraged. ¡°Watch yournguage, Eve¡± her stern gaze held mine. ¡°Why don¡¯t you leave now ande back when you¡¯re ready to have a civilised conversation with me¡± she said cooly. That level headedness of hers screwed with my brain. I had to leave because I was about to smash something. ¡°Okay then, good bye¡± I gritted out before I stormed off. I was going home now. I couldn¡¯t think straight with all the anger I felt. As I drove home, I thought about what happened. How could Mrs Tobias do that to me? I felt helpless because I couldn¡¯t quit that darned job. It was established. Female bosses were the worst! ¡°I don¡¯t know if I should goad you or try cate you ¡± Elizabeth said ¡°Do neither. Just shut up!¡± ¡°I hate it when you tell me to shut up. Do you always have to be so nasty?¡± she said ¡°That¡¯s what you get for meddling with an unknown stone¡± I fired back ¡°You know, it serves you right. I feel overjoyed that you didn¡¯t get promoted that easily. Now you¡¯ll have topete with another rival. It shows how much you are hated, Evelyn ¡± she returned icily. We squabbled until I reached my house. As I drove to my gate, I saw something or should I say, someone rather unusual. He was next door. I parked my car to see who it was because I didn¡¯t have a next door neighbor. Not for a year and half now. I got down from the car and made my way through the open gate. A man was bringing out boxes from a truck. I guessed someone was finally moving in. ¡°Hello¡± I called The man who offloaded boxes turned to face me. Holy cow! I was nearly knocked off bnce by the gorgeous hunk who stood in front of me. ¡°Hi, I¡¯m Aaron Stone. I just moved in¡± he gave a smile so dashing, it made me weak in the knees. I could hear Elizabeth¡¯s gasp. ¡°Oh, man, he¡¯s¡¡± She was at loss for words. I too was at loss for words. ¡°Uh¨CI¡¯m ¡ª I¡¯m Evelyn. Evelyn Thompson. I¨Cuh live next door¡± I stuttered. Oh God I was so stupid! ¡°That¡¯s nice¡± he smiled again. ¡°I would have gone for a handshake but my hands¡¡± He raised up his dusty hands. ¡°It¡¯s fine. I¡¯ll get going now ¡± I said and I hurried to my car. Why did a gorgeous guy pop out of nowhere toplicate my life? Chapter 13 The day I found out that my boyfriend for three years was cheating on me, I felt utterly helpless. His action made me hate him to bits and hate myself for touching that stone in the first ce. At that moment, wished I could do something. Say something to him, maybe demand an exnation for screwing another woman, barely weeks after my fake death. I felt a bit relieved that day when Evelyn Thompson stood up for me. It felt like a girl power moment when she hit Derek across the face, even though he deserved more than a p, I was still grateful to her. I didn¡¯t want to think about Derek. It was somewhat nice to be rid of him. At least I could set my sights on another man. Like the hot guy next door. Evelyn Thompson sure had a lot of luck shining on her.Property ? of N?velDrama.Org. Back to my present. I had something bothering me. It kept on seeing these visions. It was a vision of a tattooed man stabbing another man. I had been seeing it for a while now and I didn¡¯t know why or what it had to do with me? The vision I saw was like a short movie. It was that of a man who looked in his thirties, wearing a ck shirt and a bold tattoo on his neck. He addressed a group of other men who stood, lined up in front of him. The tattooed man asked ¡°Any news on my stone?¡± Then the men who stood in front of him, chorused ¡°No, boss¡± ¡°You haven¡¯t found my stone?¡± The man asked again. His eyebrows creased and his face formed into a deep frown, ording to what I saw. ¡°You haven¡¯t?¡± He asked again then grabbed a dagger and stabbed one of the men who stood with him. That was all I saw. I couldn¡¯t make a meaning out of the vision. They were just like shes in front of me. What did I have to do with such a violent scenario? Why did I see such? And the man in my vision, talked about finding a stone. Did it have to do with the stone I and Evelyn possessed? ¡°What¡¯s with this weird silence? That¡¯s so unlike you¡± Evelyn asked, breaking through my thoughts. She was making preparations to bake some bread. I watched how her hands kneaded through the dough. She was quite skilled. ¡°Unlike me?¡± I asked ¡°you mean I talk too much?¡± ¡°You don¡¯t need anyone to tell you that, Elizabeth. You¡¯re a bbermouth¡± I ignored her. She was obviously trying to pick a fight with me ¡°Umm ¡± I began. ¡°There¡¯s something bothering me. I¡¯ve been seeing things ¡± ¡°Seeing things like what?¡± ¡°It¡¯s a vision of a tattooed man, asking people for a stone. He hurt someone too¡± To my utmost surprise, sheughed. ¡°That¡¯s a bizzare thing to see, for sure ¡± she said ¡°You don¡¯t believe me?¡± ¡°Who would? I have no idea what you¡¯re up to, Elizabeth¡± I definitely did see that vision. But how would I convince Evelyn that I did? While I thought to myself, I saw something else¡ Someone came into Evelyn¡¯s house¡ who was that? The shes I saw became less vague. It was the guy next door who came in and Evelyn totally freaked out when she saw him. That was all I saw What¡¯s with these weird visions? ****************** Evelyn I decided to pass the time by baking pastries today because it was a Saturday. I wanted to take my mind off work and Mrs Tobias¡¯s betrayal. I would have quit that job and threw the damn promotion in her face. But I couldn¡¯t. As daring as I felt I was, I couldn¡¯t quit. I was so close to getting promoted. I couldn¡¯t throw everything away now just because I sensed injustice at work. So all I could do was while away my time as I sought to bake something edible. I had just gotten off the phone with my mom. She stillined about my dad. Being the good daughter I was, I listened to her wholeint and replied with a few ¡®oh no¡¯s and really¡¯s¡¯ until she finished talking. What a hell of a day I was having. ¡°I just saw something else¡± I heard Elizabeth¡¯s voice again I really didn¡¯t understand her today. Was she trying to brighten up the dreary and quiet house or was she just fooling around? ¡°What now?¡± ¡°The guy next door walked in here and you freaked out ¨C¡± ¡°Pfftt! What are you saying Elizabeth. I really can¡¯t keep up with you now. What are you nning eh? What¡¯s going on in¨C¡± I suddenly paused when I heard footsteps. It sounded so close, It felt like someone was behind me. The hair at the back of my neck stood in alert. I couldn¡¯t ¡ª ¡°Hello¡± I heard someone say. I let out a frightened yelp as I turned, backing the counter. Who was that and who darede into my house like¡ª It was the hot guy who lived next door! ¡°Um¡ sorry for startling you. I just wanted¡¡± I was beyond mortified. What if he heard me talking out loud to myself. Surely, he heard me! Luckily, I was with my phone. I quickly mmed it on my ear and said. ¡°um¨C I¡¯ll call youter. I have to hang up now¡± Then I awkwardly fiddled with the phone and dropped it on the counter. At least he¡¯d think I was on the phone with someone, not talking to myself, since he¡¯d heard me talking already. Having Elizabeth¡¯s soul in my body and listening to her voice all day long was bing more difficult to handle than I thought. Very soon, they would all think I had gone crazy because I kept answering her. ¡°What ¨Cwhat do you want?¡± I asked him, still calming my startled heart. ¡°How did you get into my house?¡± I threw at him again ¡°Uh¨Cyou left the gate and the door open?¡± He replied Shoot! I¡¯d totally forgotten to shut the door after I came in. Well, you wouldn¡¯t me me, I overestimated the security in this neighborhood. ¡°What the hell is happening here?¡± I heard Elizabeth ask but I didn¡¯t answer. She¡¯d done enough for today. ¡°How could you barge into my house like that?¡± I fired. I couldn¡¯t get distracted by the handsome face that stared back at me. A handsome face couldn¡¯t keep me from getting pissed whenever I wanted. ¡°I¡¯m sorry. I just wanted to invite you to my¨C¡± ¡°And you couldn¡¯t knock on my ajar door beforeing in?¡± I attacked him. ¡°I just said I¡¯m sorry ¡± I could detect impatience in his voice. ¡°You know what, just leave ¡± I said. ¡°now is not a good time ¡± ¡°You shouldn¡¯t get all worked up over a small issue ¡± he said. ¡°I¡¯m your neighbor¡± ¡°He¡¯s right, Evelyn¡± Elizabeth said I ignored her and faced this guy. ¡°And I barely know you. You could be a serial killer or a porn star¡¡± ¡°Porn star?¡± Both he and Elizabeth chorused ¡°Yes. I have a weird phobia for porn stars¡± I mumbled, embarrassed. Why was I even saying this? Stupid, stupid me! ¡°Why?¡± Elizabeth asked ¡°They¡¯re too¡ immoral¡± I answered her. I was doing that again. I was answering her. This guy was going to think I was crazy since I literally just talked to myself. ¡°I¡¯m not a porn star, Eve. Or a serial murderer¡± He remembered my name? I didn¡¯t even remember his? I didn¡¯t know how to take this. And somehow, the way he said my name made me feel¡. good. ¡°You need to leave now!¡± I blurted out. My mind was totally warped. I needed to recollect my thoughts and his presence wasn¡¯t helping me do that. ¡°Fine¡± he said. ¡°I¡¯ll just drop this here¡± he said and dropped the tray of fruits he brought, on the table. I let out a deep sigh after he left. What the hell had just happened? ¡°I told you! I told you that the hot guy from next door woulde here and you would freak out¡¡± She was right. She told me beforehand. But how did she know? How did she see that? Chapter 14 Today began with a crappy note as usual. In fact, it¡¯s been crappy since I lost the stone. I found myself thinking about it all day long. The boys I hired were always at my beck and call so I harassed them all the time because of the stone. I had be obsessive these past days. Who wouldn¡¯t be? If you were so close to achieving something great, something that gave you enthusiasm and suddenly you lost your zeal to achieve, won¡¯t you obsess about getting it back? I didn¡¯t know how everything went wrong. Days went by and I started to realise that I had a very violent side to me. I even possessed arms now. I had a gun! Harley Dogman had a gun! If anyone had told me beforehand that it woulde to this, I would have believed because I still wanted to be seen. I wanted to be acknowledged. I wanted to wipe the smirks off the faces of the people who¡¯d looked down on me, especially my parents. And I thought of using my inventions to achieve that. But now that I had lost the mysterious, magical, soul stone¡ I couldn¡¯t invent no more. No! I refused to give up on finding it. I was going tob everywhere for it. Even if it meant killing¡ª ¡°Boss¡± one of my boy¡¯s called. I was so lost in thought I didn¡¯t realize I was in the same room with two boys I¡¯d hired. ¡°What is it?¡± I growled ¡°I found information on the stone¡± he said I jolted upright on the sofa where I sat. ¡°What did you say?¡± I asked. I wanted to confirm because I didn¡¯t expect it. ¡°I found information on the stone¡± ¡°Spit it out¡± ¡°Boss, we lost the stone after we got involved in an ident when we returned to you. I just got an information from someone that there was also another ident that took ce on that spot¡± ¡°So what are you trying to say?¡± I asked ¡°I¡¯m saying that the victims of the second ident could have taken the stone¡± I didn¡¯t reply. My brain was still processing the information. ¡°Who are the victims?¡± I asked ¡°I¡¯m yet to find out, boss¡± At that moment, I didn¡¯t know what possessed me. I suddenly felt a rush of different emotions. Hope? Doubt? Rage and frustration? I grabbed the loaded gun thaty beside me and pointed it at him. ¡°Are you sure about this information? I¡¯ll kill you if I find out that you¡¯re fucking with me¡± I watched as he trembled in fear and it gave me a little satisfaction. ¡°Yes, boss. I¡¯m sure of it¡± ¡°Find out more about those victims and if they have anything to do with my stone. I¡¯ve put my faith in you. I won¡¯t spare you if you fail me¡± I said to him. ¡°Yes boss!¡± ¡°You can go now¡± I slumped back on the sofa. I felt a bit less tense now. Maybe I could find the stone after all. After a while, I heard a sound. It came from my gate. Someone just got in. Who was that? I wasn¡¯t expecting anyone now. I wasn¡¯t really feeling rmed about it because my door had a code attached to it. No one could get into my house from outside without pressing the code. I stayed put on the sofa, expecting to hear a knock on the door but I didn¡¯t. Instead, I heard a sound from my door. The sound I usually heard when the door was being unlocked. Wait. Who was that? No one knew the code to my house except my¡. The door opened and my parents got in. I released a relief sigh when I saw them. At least I wasn¡¯t going to be a victim of burry. But what were they doing here? Had theye to lecture me again? ¡°We came to see you because we knew you wouldn¡¯te to see us¡± my dad said as he made his way to the sofaThis is property ? of N?velDrama.Org. At least they knew I wasn¡¯t going to visit. ¡°How¡¯s Dinah?¡± I asked. Dinah was my younger and only sister whom I hadn¡¯t seen for ages. She lived with my parents. ¡°She¡¯s doing fine, better than you are ¡± my mom snorted her reply ¡°What¡¯s all these?¡± my dad asked, pointing to the table in front of us. It contained empty bottles of liquor and empty packs of snacks. That was how I lived now. An empty, deste life without my stone. ¡°Your house is in a mess¡± heined ¡°And you¡¯ve gone MIA for a while¡± said my mom I didn¡¯t have time for this. Their presence, ints, lectures, I decided not to take it. ¡°I want you guys to leave now. I¡¯m angry enough as it is¡± I said to them, curtly ¡°We just came and you want us to leave?¡± My dad barked ¡°What¡¯se over you, Harley. Your sister is doing well in a reasonable job and you¡¯re here, wasting your youth at home, barely sober and inventing crap?¡± The criticisms were ying over and over in my head again. ¡°Are you human or just a freak¡?¡± ¡°Youck a social life¡¡± ¡°I didn¡¯t give birth to a child with a personality disorder. Are you going to prove me wrong¡?¡± ¡°This is bullshit ¡ª your inventions are bullshit. Who does that nowadays? Get a life, Harley¡¡± ¡°Will you estrange your self from us because we told you the harsh reality of life¡?¡± ¡°Why can¡¯t you be like Dinah¡ she has a ¡ª¡± All my life, my parents badgered me with these. Not anymore. I wasn¡¯t going to let them. Grabbing the loaded gun next to me I stood up and pointed it at them. My mom gasped. ¡°What are you doing, Harley? Why do you keep a gun ¡ª¡± my dad¡¯s voice became distorted due to shock. I hated this. I hated them. I hated what they made me do. I was so frustrated and pained. ¡°Have you for once asked me how I felt? What I wanted to do?¡± I asked as hot tears ran down my face ¡°All you did was criticize me¨C¡± ¡°Put the damn gun down, Harley¡± my mom yelled I wasn¡¯t going to. I was going to be the viin of my life story. An inventor who obsessed about a stone and killed his parents because they said things he didn¡¯t want to hear. ¡°No¡± I inhaled ¡°I want to end these criticisms, I want to end the emotional pain I¡¯m going through right now¡± ¡°So you¡¯re just going to shoot us for the hell of it?¡± My dad barked. So incorrigible! ¡°It seems you¡¯re yet to know what you did to me. What you¡¯ve been doing to me¡± I ground my teeth ¡°I thought I gave birth to a son, I didn¡¯t know I gave birth to a thug.¡± My mom began ranting ¡°If I had known about the disgrace you¡¯d turn out to be, then I would have killed you from birth. I wouldn¡¯t have¡ª¡± I pulled the trigger, cutting off her disdainful speech. I watched as she froze, blood gushing from her chest. Her eyes widened for a second then she shut them. I had just killed my mom! ¡°Harley!¡± My dad bellowed ¡°You¨Cyou shouldn¡¯t have said that. If you hadn¡¯t, then I wouldn¡¯t have to ¨C¡± I babbled ¡°All we did was love you, Harley¡¡± My dad said, trembling. He shook my mum severally as he sobbed. For a moment, I was going to have a change of heart. I just killed someone, you know, I was bound to feel remorseful. But I didn¡¯t. I wasn¡¯t going to let my dad¡¯s words sway me. I felt vindictive. ¡°You probably should join your wife¡± I said and released another bullet without a second thought. After my dad shut his eyes, I dropped the gun and took deep breaths. I refused myself to feel any emotions. I called the boys I hired and they came after some time. ¡°Take their bodies and drop them at their house. I¡¯ll send you the address. Make their deaths look like a burry turned murder¡± I ordered them ¡°Yes boss¡± they chorused I had killed my parents. The people I was going to kill were the people who had my stone. Chapter 15 shback to my life Eight years ago I stood with my family at the top of the stairs as the wine swirled gently in my cup. Everyone was dressed in elegance and finery. The bright light emanating from the huge chandelier, above me, illuminated the ball room as everyone moved to the rhythm of the slow song that yed. Today was Matriarch She McGuire¡¯s birthday and the top elites of the city, graced tonight with their appearance. Now everyone gathered around the center of the parlor because Matriarch She McGuire proposed a toast. My grandmother, the Matriarch of our family, straightened her back as she took a regal posture and raised her ss. ¡°First off,¡± she began. ¡°I want to thank you all for attending my small party. Your presence here means a lot to me¡± ¡°Also, I want to thank the Monastos for gracing this little gathering I prepared. Thanks for being my VIP guests ¡± she raised her ss towards them and they did too, smiling. ¡°I¡¯m toasting to celebrate the union between my grandson here¡¡± She pointed to me ¡°¡ and Sara Monasto. I can¡¯t wait for us to finally be family¡± She said and I audibly gulped. The Monasto family and my family had been business allies for over eight years. I belonged to the McGuire family and I was the only son of a renowned billionaire family. I had been born with a silver spoon and trained in the best schools to be an heir. I was the only son of my family and my parents and grandma wanted me to continue the McGuire legacy by getting married to Sara Monasto, the first daughter of the Monasto family. But I didn¡¯t want to. I didn¡¯t have feelings for Sara. I wasn¡¯t even into girls or women. I am gay. I liked men but it was a secret. My dark secret. No one knew about this, not even my family. My family never supported homosexuality or lesbianism. My uncle was disowned by my grand father and cut off from the family because he fell in love with a man. I didn¡¯t want to risk getting disowned, that¡¯s why I kept my homosexuality as a secret. My family kept arranging dates for Sara and I but I was reluctant about meeting her. Sara and I finally went on our date yesterday and my family celebrated it. That¡¯s why my grandma made a toast to our rtionship today. I really didn¡¯t fancy Sara. I knew she didn¡¯t love me too, but was also forced to go on a date with me by her family. Matriarch She nudged me with her elbow, interrupting my thoughts. ¡°What are you thinking so deeply about?¡± She asked ¡°Um¨Cnothing¡± I replied ¡°If you say so¡± she said. ¡°what do you think about Sara?¡± ¡°Uh¡ she¡¯s a nice woman¡± I replied. But I¡¯m not in love with her. I don¡¯t even desire her. Fuck, I don¡¯t think I would because I liked men. That was on the tip of my tongue but I didn¡¯t say it. I feared my grandma too much to even confide in her about my worries. She was strict and cold and she called the shots. She didn¡¯t want us to call her grandmother or mother so we all called her Matriarch She. She always said she didn¡¯t want us to be overly sentimental towards her or anyone. She ruled the family and business with a cold fist. ¡°She shouldn¡¯t just be a nice woman to you¡± Matriarch She bit out ¡°she should be more than that because she would soon be your wife¡±Text ? by N0ve/lDrama.Org. Wow grandma! Tell me something I didn¡¯t know! The party was beginning to suffocate me. I felt tired and I wanted to retire for the night. I silently excused myself and went to my room. Uggghh! I let out a loud sigh as I slumped on my bed. Tomorrow was Saturday and I had an appointment at a gay club. I usually went to the club on Saturdays and I loved going there because no one knew who I was there, I could be myself in the midst of different men. I also liked the club because there were only men present. Women weren¡¯t allowed in. As I shut my eyes and anticipated my arrival at the club the next day, my phone buzzed. I had just received a text message. I opened it and saw that it was from Freddy. Freddy was my present hook up. We did a no strings attached rtionship so we met on days when I was less busy and fucked. ¡°When next we going to meet? When next am I going to spank that ass?¡± He asked. He was sexting me. He always liked to sext me on the days we didn¡¯t meet. I usually replied him quickly because I loved sexting. But I didn¡¯t feel in the mood today. Matriarch She was about to ruin my life by fixing me in a loveless marriage with a woman and the thought of it made me sad. ¡°Certainly not today¡± I texted back. ¡°I¡¯m about to go to bed¡± ¡°Don¡¯t be such a bore¡± Freddy texted ¡°Sorry Fred, not in the mood today. I¡¯ll see you tomorrow at the club¡± I texted then dropped the phone. I felt sorry for blowing Freddy off but it couldn¡¯t be helped. I was in a foul mood and I didn¡¯t want to ruin his. I could tell that Freddy had feelings for me but I didn¡¯t want to reciprocate his feelings. I hadn¡¯t gotten into a serious rtionship since college. I got my heart broken by a guy who imed to like me at first. We started dating and I was so smitten by him until he told me that he was straight. He told me that he was into girls and he didn¡¯t want to have anything to do with a guy like me. He even got a girl pregnant and it broke my heart the more. Ever since then, I hadn¡¯tmitted into a serious rtionship. I didn¡¯t allow myself to fall in love with any guy. I didn¡¯t want to hurt Freddy so I was going to let him down easy, tomorrow at the club. Different thoughts kept swirling through my head and I fell asleep, thinking of the day that I was going to reveal my secret to my family. Chapter 16 The studio lights shew brightly and it beautified the club. The disco music was loud and everyone danced. I stood upstairs as I sipped vodka and watched the surrounding. Almost all the men present at the club were busy with another man. Either kissing, touching or dancing immorally. Where the hell was Freddy? I didn¡¯t feel in the mood to dance so I just drank my vodka, quietly. I finally saw Freddy. ¡°Hey!¡± Freddy called as we saw eachother.Property ? of N?velDrama.Org. ¡°How¡¯s you been?¡± He asked as he grabbed my butt cheek. ¡°I¡¯m good ¡± I replied, allowing him to touch my ass. It felt good. ¡°What¡¯s with your bored attitude? I know you¡¯re probably feeling down but don¡¯t worry, I¡¯m here to spice things up ¡± he said and before I could reply, his lips crashed down on mine. I opened up quickly for him, trying to get into the mood. I was trying to distract myself from the whole marriage shit that my parents and grandma nned for me. I kissed him deeply, trying to feel the passion or some sort of desperate craving that I usually felt. I wanted to grip him, hold him, mesh with every hard, muscr angle of his lean, virile length but I didn¡¯t. I wasn¡¯t feeling any desire for him. I slowly removed my mouth from his. ¡°What¡¯s wrong?¡± He asked ¡°Freddy, I¨C¡± ¡°I understand¡± he suddenly said. I stared at him. Trying to fathom what he meant. ¡°I know you don¡¯t want us to fuck anymore and I¡¯m chill about it?¡± I stared at him. How did he know? ¡°Freddy ¡± I began. ¡°you¡¯re a nice guy and all, but I¨C¡± ¡°It¡¯s okay ¡± he said. ¡°I enjoyed my time with you. You¡¯re a great lover¡± I ced my hand on his shoulder. ¡°We¡¯re good right?¡± ¡°Yes, Harley. We¡¯re cool¡± He smiled. ¡°I gotta bounce¡± ¡°Leaving so soon?¡± I asked ¡°Yeah. I¡¯ll see you around¡± he said and left. As I watched him leave, I could tell that he felt awkward. I didn¡¯t want his feelings for me to grow so I had to let him down slowly. It was the end of my hook up with Freddy. I now had to look for another guy. As I continued to sip my vodka and watch the horny men, I saw this guy. I spotted him from upstairs and our eyes locked. I couldn¡¯t fathom what I felt as I gazed at him He was gorgeous. Mouth watering gorgeous. I could see his huge biceps from where I stood. He had a handsomely chiselled face and as we stared at eachother, I felt a pool of heat at my cock. Come to your senses, Harley! I scolded myself as I tore my gaze from his. I had never felt this reaction to any man at first sight before. What just happened to me? I sighed and grabbed my vodka cup, then took a swig. I now felt tipsy. ¡°Hey¡± someone called me and I turned around to see who it was. I gasped as I saw him It was the man whom I just had a steamy eye lock with. I was perplexed. ¡°What¡¯s up, man. You look like you just saw a ghost¡± he said ¡°Hi¡± I greeted ¡°I just saw you. How did you get to me so fast?¡± ¡°I don¡¯t know¡± he smiled. ¡°Maybe I flew ¡± he said I stared at him. From up close, he was badly handsome. The kind of men you¡¯ll see in magazine covers. His abs were visible under his transparent singlet and I wanted to touch it. What the fuck was wrong with me? I had never felt this visceral reaction to any guy since my college years. ¡°So you¡¯re gay, huh?¡± He asked ¡°Obviously, why else would I be here?¡± Iughed nervously ¡°I¡¯m Jason¡± he said, extending a hand ¡°Harley ¡± I grabbed his hand and shook lightly. Although my hands were calloused, they weren¡¯tpared to his solid hand. I didn¡¯t want to let go. ¡°I actually came to you to escape from my ex boyfriend¡± he said Oh! And here I thought¡ Wait! What was I thinking? That he was attracted to me? ¡°That¡¯s fine¡± I managed We opted for small talk, just talking about superficial things. Suddenly, Jason ced his hands on my face. ¡°Just y along¡± he said as his gaze darted from me to a guy who seemed to be looking for him. ¡°Pretend like we are hooking up. My ex boyfriend¡¯s here¡± he said and before I could register what he meant, his lips crashed down on mine. Even though he kissed me for the wrong reasons, his kiss was hot, like nothing I¡¯ve felt before. His tongue swirled and teased with erotic expertise and then he nipped my taut, swollen lip with his teeth, hotly suckling on it. Liquid fire red and burned unbearably between my trembling thighs. From the corner of my eye, I saw a guy staring at us, then he turned and left. Jason also saw it. That was probably his ex boyfriend. So we slowly disengaged from the kiss. ¡°My ex is gone¡± he said ¡°Yeah¡± I replied We stared deeply into each other¡¯s eyes and I felt the sexual tension brewing and choking the atmosphere. Dropping my head to the side, I turned my face and lifted my mouth, inviting his kiss again with parted lips. He bent without hesitation, nothing tentative in the way he captured my mouth. Thorough and unhurried, he continued to caress me as he took sumptuous possession of my lips. I ran her fingers into his hair, greeting his tongue with my own, inhibition melted by pure desire. Excitement spiralled as suddenly as summer lightning between us. Wild, hot and primaeval. I gasped and wrapped my arms round him and discovered he could once again be the giver of such energising sensation as I had never dared to dream existed. He tore his lips from mine. Staring at me, he said ¡°Do you want to get out of here?¡± There was no ce I wanted to be, if not with him. ¡°Yes¡± I answered. Chapter 17 The drive from the club to the hotel where I was going to spend the night was so long. Or was it because I was impatient? I and Jason couldn¡¯t keep our hands off eachother in the car. Why did it feel this good to have a gay lover like him? Minutester, we reached the hotel. I was a regr customer at the hotel so my room keys were quickly given to me by the hotel receptionist. I took Jason straight to my room. After we shut the door, we resumed our steamy kiss. I lowered my dark head and took Jason¡¯s mouth with hungry urgency. Fire in the hold, I thought wildly, madly, feeling the instantaneous charge of his own helpless response. The scent of him, the touch of him inmed my senses with a drowning passion that was utterly self-absorbed. Deep groaning sounds escaped my throat. Hot, electrifying pleasure engulfed me with every thrust of his tongue. We both removed our shirts and My nails skidded down the long sweep of his back and he moaned against my mouth, biting at my lower lip in punishment. Rawly impatient hands dealt with the trousers that was all that shielded him from me. ¡®You¡¯re mine¡ from this moment on,¡¯ He said after he pushed me on the bed I touched his taut and tanned chest and lowered my mouth to his sternum, licking him like a cat with slow sensual licks that evoked another guttural groan from him and a whole-body shudder. It was just sex, I reminded himself, nothing he had to make rigid rules about. the wonder of that intimacy, the sensation of him filling me, the wild surge of my own hunger for his driving maleness overwhelmed every worry I felt. he sank into me harder and faster and set a raw pagan rhythm to satisfy his own overriding need. White-hot excitement gripped me. My heart hammered, my breath emerged in quick, shallow gasps. He drove me to a mindless peak where my body crested and splintered in a dazzling, electrifying charge of fulfilment. As I cried out in ecstasy, his own climax took him in a savage, shattering wave. His powerful body shuddered violently as he poured himself into me. We orgasmed and slept off in each other¡¯s arms. ****************** I opened my eyes. It was morning. I checked the time and it was five am. I was an early riser so it wasn¡¯t a problem. I stared at Jason while he slept. He really was gorgeous. I trailed my index finger on his face. As I did that, I felt different, heart warming emotions. I really didn¡¯t understand it. No! I didn¡¯t want to have these feelings towards Jason. I just wanted a no strings attached sex with him. But a part of me knew that I couldn¡¯t achieve a no strings attached rtionship without catching feelings for him. I didn¡¯t allow myself to fall in love for many years, so why now? I didn¡¯t want to fall for him. I won¡¯t fall for him. Men turned out to be selfish motherfuckers who only messed with people¡¯s hearts. Including me! I quickly grabbed my shirt and trousers and car keys. I was going to leave before Jason woke up. I didn¡¯t think I was going to see him again. ¡®bye, Jason. Thanks for being my best lover so far. I¡¯d like to fuck you again but¡¡¯ I thought to myself as I spared a final nce at Jason, then left the room. ************** Two dayster ¡°Sara Monasto, your future wife wants to see you. So I have decided to arrange a date for you guys, this evening¡± Matriarch She, my grandma said to me while we ate breakfast at the dinning table. I nearly choked on my food. A date? With Sara? A woman I didn¡¯t love? I suddenly felt nauseated. ¡°Uh, grandma¡± I ventured. ¡°Must I go on a date today? I mean I have a lot on my schedule this evening¡± ¡°I¡¯ve asked your secretary to clear up your schedule for this evening. Sara is waiting. Don¡¯t make her wait too long¡± my grandma¡¯s cold voice rang out. And that was it! I was finally going on this date with Sara. Fucking hell! Sometimes I wished I had my sister, Dinah¡¯s life. She wasn¡¯t bothered by my parents or my grandma, she just lived. But I couldn¡¯t live freely. Being an only son and heir to my family¡¯s fortune, I had responsibilities to fulfill. Which included an arranged marriage and not being a homosexual! I had to get prepared to see Sara. ***************N?velDrama.Org copyrighted ? content. It was a candle lit dinner. I and Sara sat awkwardly across eachother, not saying a word. I could count the words we had said since we arrived on the date. My mind went back to the guy I fucked two days ago. I had been thinking of him too often since that day. His gorgeous face, his huge toned body, his hot lips on mine, the thought of it made me feel horny. What was it about him that made me think about him frequently? I missed him and it frustrated me. I looked at Sara. I felt bad because I was thinking of another lover when I was on a date with her ¡°Look, Sara¡± I broke the silence that went on between us. ¡°You¡¯re a beautiful, nice woman, but I¡¯m just not into you¡± ¡°So am I ¡± she said. ¡°I don¡¯t know why I was forced to go on this stupid date¡± she grumbled ¡°My parents already know that I¡¯m in love with someone else¡± she said ¡°They know?¡± ¡°Yes¡± she said. ¡°I couldn¡¯t keep my boyfriend a secret from them so I came out with the truth about my love for someone else but they disapproved of my rtionship¡± I marveled at her bravery. ¡°You told your parents about your lover when you knew that they would disapprove?¡± I asked ¡°Yes. I couldn¡¯t care less. Sometimes I just feel like eloping with him ¡± I was such a coward. Part of the reasons why I didn¡¯tmit to rtionships were because I didn¡¯t want my parents to find out that I was in love with a man. That I was gay. But after hearing Sara¡¯s story, the only person on my mind now was Jason. I wanted Jason. I needed to see him. ¡°Sara, can we end this date? I really need to go somewhere¡± I said, standing up urgently. ¡°No biggie¡± she smiled and I left the restaurant. I was going to look for Jason at the gay club. I wanted to be with him. To hell with the consequences! Chapter 18 I searched for Jason at the gay club but he was no where to be seen. I felt so disappointed and regretful. What if I hadn¡¯t left him that morning? Would we be making sweet love by now? I drove home in a sad state. I usually didn¡¯t pine for someone but I pined for Jason right now. It made me feel pathetic After I reached home, I stripped off my clothes and took a shower. I decided to forget about Jason. Loving someone at first sight wasn¡¯t going to help me now. I¡¯ll soon be married anyway. ***************** On a Tuesday morning, I rode in my car with my secretary. Tuesdays were usually busy for me so I hurried to work to meet up with my busy schedule. ¡°Do you have the merger documents ready?¡± I asked my secretary ¡°Yes boss¡± he replied I sped up because I wanted to reach my office early. But suddenly, my car stopped. I swore under my breath. What was wrong with the fucking car now? I didn¡¯t know what to do now and I had to get to work early ¡°Go now¡± I barked at my secretary ¡°Find a nearby mechanic or get someone that can fix my car¡± I said and he scurried off I was running out of time. Why did my car have to stop now? Several minutester, my secretary arrived with the mechanic. I had to get down in order for my car to be fixed. I got down from my car and behold, the mechanic who came with my secretary was Jason. The saliva dried up in my mouth when I saw him. I just met Jason again and I didn¡¯t know what to tell him. ¡°What¡¯s wrong with the car?¡± Jason asked my secretary as he tore his gaze away from mine ¡°It just stopped¡± ¡°Okay, let me see¡± he proceeded to fix the issue of the car and I just couldn¡¯t take my eyes off him. His biceps were sweaty and glistening, it made me want to touch them. Mental images of the night we shared together kept invading my head and it made me desire him the more. In a matter of minutes, my car was fixed. ¡°We can go now¡± my secretary said to me ¡°Get in the car, I¡¯ll join you shortly¡± I replied, my eyes fixed on Jason. He finally looked at me and our sexified gazes locked. ¡°So Harley, how¡¯s your life been since the day we fucked and you ghosted me¡± Jason asked in a sarcastic tone. ¡°Please let¡¯s meet at the hotel fromst time. I¡¯ll exin everything¡± I said to him because I suddenly felt the need to exin ¡°No, thanks¡± he said and made to leave but I grabbed his arm. ¡°Please¡± I pleaded urgently ¡°Okay then. We¡¯ll meet at the hotel by six pm¡± he said ¡°Deal¡± I smiled, anticipating our meeting ****************Property ? of N?velDrama.Org. I rushed my work and checked the time at regr intervals. I couldn¡¯t wait for six pm so I could go and see Jason. After hours of endless work and back to back meetings, it was finally time to go and see Jason. I quickly drove to the hotel. Luckily for me, it was easy to locate him. I found him in one of the rooms, seated on the bed and waiting for me. He looked breath takingly ravishing as usual. I wanted to run to him and wrap him in my arms but I couldn¡¯t because he was mad at me. ¡°Hi¡± he said with an aloof expression ¡°I missed you¡± I blurted out without thinking. Oh my God! What on earth was wrong with me? Jason raised a sardonic eyebrow ¡°it didn¡¯t seem like it when you left that morning¡± ¡°I¡¡± I hesitated. I was flustered, how was I going to exin it to him? ¡°You what?¡± He asked ¡°I¨CI mean, I¡¡± I stammered stupidly ¡°Look, Harley. I¡¯ll be off now. You called me here, so you talk when you¡¯re ready¡± he said as he stood up and was about to leave ¡°I like you!¡± I yelled and he paused in his tracks ¡°I like you. Like, a lot. I obviously didn¡¯t mean for it to happen but it did¡. I mean, I¡¯m a guy, a tough hearted guy and I¡¯ve trained myself not to fall in love easily but in your case it just happened. I find myself thinking about you and wanting to see you all the¡ª¡± my emotional ramble was interrupted when he grabbed me and kissed me. His mouth imed mine with shocking effect. Excitement exploded like a greedy, out-of-control fire inside me, overwhelming me with a voracious passion. I kissed him back in a wild surge of hunger, moaning low in my throat at the stabbing, wickedly erotic inttusion of his tongue. He shifted fluidly against me, making me crave closer contact with a desperation that screamed through every nerve-ending. ¡°Tell me that you like to make love over and over again¡±, Jason invited huskily, his ent roughening the explicit invitation. ¡°And I will tell you that I will satisfy your every desire.¡± Then Jason blocked out my thoughts with the hot, hungry heat of his mouth, and the world spun so violently, I gasped and clutched at him. Electrifying heat engulfed me¡ or maybe it was him. He seemed to be burning up too. My fingers framed his hard cheekbones and my head went back as he knotted one hand tightly into my hair and kissed me with bruising, demanding thoroughness until I thought I would pass out fromck of oxygen but didn¡¯t care because nothing had ever felt so good. He slowly removed his lips from mine and stared deeply into my eyes. ¡°This is my answer to your confession¡± he said huskily ¡°I felt really bad after you left me that night. I thought that I did something wrong, and I couldn¡¯t sleep thinking of what I had done to¡ª¡± ¡°Shhh¡± I ced an index finger on his lips to stop him from talking. ¡°You didn¡¯t do anything wrong. It was me. I¡¯m sorry Jason. I¡¯ll never leave you again¡± I said and I meant it. I wasn¡¯t nning to leave his side again. I didn¡¯t care about my secret or my family or Matriarch She. I only wanted Jason. Chapter 19 I had always had one dream, which was to be an inventor. I had this dream even if I knew that I wasn¡¯t going to be one. My parents and Grandma had always told me about sacrifices. They said that I had to make sacrifices. I would sacrifice my dream to be an inventor, in order for me to be a billionaire heir. They wanted me to sacrifice all my pleasure, my love, my happiness for the responsibilities ahead of me. But this time I didn¡¯t feel like doing any of that. I didn¡¯t want to sacrifice my happiness with Jason for some bullshit family business. I liked him and I wanted the world to know that I was gay. ¡°What are you thinking about?¡± Jason asked as he ced his hand on my face, stroking it lightly. I and Jason spent the night at the hotel after our intense fucking. We talked about a lot of personal things after that, I told him about my family and literally everything about me. So did he. He told me that he had a desk job but he worked part-time as a mechanic. I checked the time. It was eight am. I had to get ready for work. ¡°Hey, I have to go¡± I said to him ¡°So soon?¡± He asked ¡°Yeah¡± ¡°Stay a little longer¡± ¡°I¡¯mte to work¡± I tilted my head and kissed him. It was slow and passionate. ¡°I¡¯ll see youter¡± ******************* When I got home, I quickly took a shower and dressed to work. I texted with Jason the whole time. I couldn¡¯t wait to meet him after work. After I finished dressing, I grabbed my suitcase and went downstairs. I greeted my parents and grandma as I walked past the dinning room. ¡°Won¡¯t you eat before you leave?¡± My mom asked ¡°No mum, I¡¯mte¡± I said and was about to leave ¡°Harley¡± Matriarch She called and I stopped in my tracks. What did she want now? ¡°Yes, Matriarch¡± I turned to her ¡°The Monasto family ising over to dinner at our house tonight. Make sure to be there¡± she said and resumed eating. I felt deted by what she just said. Thest thing I wanted to do was spend time with the Monasto family. I had to meet Jason this night and I didn¡¯t want to bail on him. ********************* Time flew quick and night fell. I hadn¡¯t gone home yet. I had two options which were: Go home and have dinner with my parents and the Monastos Or spend the night with Jason and risk my grandma¡¯s wrath. I didn¡¯t want to spend the whole night missing Jason while I sat at a tension filled dinner with my family and the Monasto family. So I decided to go with option two. I drove straight to the hotel. When I got into the room, Jason was on the bed, waiting for me. He wore only a boxer short which made his whole body visible to me. His muscles couldn¡¯t be more defined, his handsome face which I couldn¡¯t get tired of seeing was in front of me. He looked like a greek god where hey. ¡°Are you going to keep standing there and gawking at me or are you going toe here¡± he asked. Without hesitation, I rushed over to him and covered his lips with mine in a hungry kiss. I suckled at his lower lip and then darted the tip of my tongue along the underside of his lip, setting off an astonishing flurry of reaction that slithered through me like a sweet piercing dart that went deep. I wanted his mouth hard on mine with a ferocity that shook me. His hands wed into my hair. It was fireworks and wild passion and the delving, curling intimacy of his tongue flicking inside my mouth, setting off a chain reaction that arrowed through my body with a piercing, burning sweetness that made my hips rise helplessly off the mattress. He shifted back a little, muttering something inaudible, pausing to kiss me again with a hungry ferocity that made my heart beat stronger and faster than ever, excitement building as he stroked my thigh, parted my legs, finally touching me where I craved being touched. I had gone hard for him. We removed our clothes with urgency as we kissed deeply. He shifted and sank his cock into me, stretching my hot tight channel with his girth and length. Our hungry growl of pleasure filled the room as he thrust past my resisting flesh and filled me to the hilt. ¡°You¡¯re so tight you feel incredible,¡±Jason groaned, blue eyes radiating deep sensual satisfaction. He plunged into my heated core, continuously with passionate force. Never had I been more aware of anything than the sleek, hard invasion of his cock into me, stretching me, rousing me with his dynamic drive. The peak of pleasure took me by surprise, throwing me up in a gasping breathless wave to the heights and then letting me fall, slowly, gently while the ripples of delight were still convulsing me. The p of his flesh against mine joined with the sound of our sobbing breaths and helpless cries. He pushed my legs over his shoulders and drove hard into my tight sheath. I shuddered, feeling the gathering surge of excitement coalesce inside me again as he upped his tempo. It was all too much for me and as he mmed into me onest time and I felt the hot st of his release. Bucking wildly under him, my hips writhed as he thrust me into an indescribably powerful orgasm. We both panted heavily as we held each other for some time. Jason was the best gay lover I had ever been with. I was happy to havee here instead of going to my house and having a tension filled dinner with the families. ¡°My grandma must be raging right now¡± I mumbled, feeling sleepy. ¡°Why¡¯s that?¡± He asked ¡°I ditched an important family dinner toe and see you¡± I drawled ¡°Really?¡± He asked Before I could answer, the door of the room swung open. I and Jason raised our heads to see who it was and behold, it was Matriarch She, standing with some huge looking men. Chapter 20 Matriarch She stood astounded at a spot for over five minutes while I and Jason struggled to wear our clothes. ¡°Seize him!¡± She screamed as she pointed a trembling finger towards Jason. The huge men she came with, went and grabbed Jason ¡°What are you doing, grandma¡± I shouted, struggling to free Jason from the men, but it was to no avail. ¡°Lock him up in jail. Do not release him until I say so¡± she ordered and the men took Jason away. ¡°Grandma¡± I screamed. ¡°tell those men to let Jason go¡± She kept silent for a moment, then she went up to me and gave me a hard p on my face ¡°You¡¯re a homosexual?¡± She yelled ¡°Yes, She, there¡¯s nothing wrong with being gay. Release Jason now!¡± ¡°Since when, Harley? Since when did you be so irresponsible?¡± ¡°Being gay isn¡¯t irresponsible ¡± I said in a strained tone. ¡°Have you ever asked me want I wanted? How I felt? No, you haven¡¯t, grandma. You only cared about your fuckingpany and not me¨C¡± Matriarch She raised her hand and pped me hard again ¡°Thatpany is my everything¡± she screamed. ¡°it¡¯s your everything! It means everything to our family. Do you know ¨C¡± ¡°IT MEANS NOTHING TO ME!¡± I screamed, to match her voice. ¡°I feel suffocated grandma, I hate myself and this darned life you¡¯ve chosen for me¡± Matriarch She straightened her frame and looked away from me ¡°You know what will happen when the news of your homosexuality breaks out¡± she stated with an indifferent tone. ¡°I¡¯ll pretend I didn¡¯t see anything this night. Go now and apologize to Sara and her family for standing them up. You have to get in their good graces¡± ¡°I don¡¯t give a flying fuck about them!¡± I protested. ¡°tell those bastards to release Jason now¡± ¡°I¡¯m afraid I can¡¯t do that¡± ¡°Why?¡± I cried ¡°Jason has done no wrong. It¡¯s all me. Please release him¡± ¡°I¡¯m d that you know that it¡¯s all your fault. It¡¯s also his fault for mingling with someone who¡¯s not from his status¡± ¡°Please grandma ¨C¡± ¡°It¡¯s Matriarch She¡± she interrupted curtly ¡°I won¡¯t let anything happen to him¡± I said with an air of finality ¡°That¡¯s good to know. At least you know what to do now¡± she said coldly and walked off, with her bodyguards following her. I slumped down, defeated. This was my fault. I couldn¡¯t allow anything happen to Jason because of me. I had to do something, quickly ******************* Three dayster I knelt down and bowed my head to the ground. ¡°My behaviour, three nights ago was unforgivable. I¡¯m truly sorry. Please I beg for you to let it slide. I promise never to repeat it again¡± I apologized infront of the Monasto family and my family. I had finally managed to get the Monasto family toe over to our house. After three days of persistent pleading, they finally came. ¡°Harley!¡± I heard Sara say. ¡°get the fuck up. What are you doing?¡± ¡°Language, Sara¡± mr Monasto said ¡°Dad, please tell him to stand up¡± she said ¡°No!¡± I heard my dad say. ¡°He needs to be taught a lesson for his irrational behaviour¡± ¡°But he just apologized¡± my mom mumbled. From the corner of my eye, I could see my dad ring at her. ¡°Apology epted¡± I heard Mr Monasto say. ¡°get up now¡± I raised my head but I didn¡¯t get up from the ground. My gaze went straight to Matriarch She. She met my gaze with stern eyes. ¡°Uh¡ what¡¯s going on?¡± My sister, Dinah asked as she noticed my gaze lock with my grandma ¡°I have done what you asked, Matriarch She¡± I said, firmly Then I turned to Mr Monasto ¡°Sara is beautiful. She¡¯s nice but I¡¯m afraid I can¡¯t marry her because I¡¯m not into her. As a matter of fact, I¡¯m g¨C¡± ¡°Harley Charles McGuire!¡± Matriarch She yelled fiercely, interrupting me. What a hag! She knew I was going to tell the truth about my gayness but she tantly interrupted me. ¡°What are you doing? Surely, you are aware of the repercussions of your actions¡± she said to me ¡°What¡¯s going on here, She?¡± Mr Monasto stood up ¡°Sorry, Jake¡± she said to him. ¡°Harley¡¯s just a bit stressed out. He didn¡¯t mean what he said¡±Property ? of N?velDrama.Org. ¡°He knows what I¡¯ll do to his loved ones if he messes this union up¡± she said to Mr Monasto, but her gaze was fixed on me. I felt a chill run down my spine at her words. Then I knew that she wasn¡¯t nning to release Jason just yet, she nned to use him as a pawn to get to me. My grandmother is devilish, I thought bitterly ¡°She¡¯s right¡± I turned to Mr Monasto, tears brimming at the back of my eyes. ¡°I didn¡¯t mean what I said earlier. I¡¯ll marry your daughter, sir. I¡¯ll marry Sara¡± I looked Matriarch She, the woman who imed to be my grandma but wasn¡¯t because no grandma would use her grandchild as a pawn to get more business allies. She smirked at me. I could read her expression. ¡®well done, Harley¡¯ it said. I loathed her. Once again, I was helpless. My life was being nned out for me and I didn¡¯t even have a say. I was too cowardly to admit that I was gay. Someone I loved suffered in jail all because of me. I couldn¡¯t help but wonder how he was faring all alone in that untidy cell. He was allowed to resent me because I brought this all on him. I needed to get him out of there at all costs. My grandma was diabolic to the extent that she could frame him for another crime he didn¡¯tmit and lock him up in jail forever, if I didn¡¯tply to her demands. The fact that I couldn¡¯t stop her from taking Jason made me feel pathetic. And it made me hate myself. But I knew deep down that I had to keep these feelings of self revulsion at bay. All I needed to do was rescue Jason and I would do anything to achieve that. Chapter 21 I sat at the dinning table with Matriarch She. It was quarter past ten pm and the Monasto family had gone. Dinah and my parents had gone to bed too but I couldn¡¯t, because I had to settle the lingering Jason issue with Matriarch She. ¡°I yed my part¡± I said to her ¡°please release Jason now¡± Her eyes were shut and she didn¡¯t reply me for a while, then she said. ¡°I¡¯ll fix an engagement date with Jake, concerning your rtionship with Sara. After then, I¡¯ll release your perverted lover¡± ¡°No, grandma!¡± I protested. ¡°Jason has spent three fucking days in a cell where he doesn¡¯t belong in. I can¡¯t let him stay for long¡± ¡°You¡¯re wrong, Harley¡± she said, coldly. ¡°That opportunistic freak belongs in a jail cell¡± ¡°Why¡¯s that?¡± She momentarily shut her eyes again and some part of me kept on wishing that she¡¯d shut them forever. ¡°He must have felt that he¡¯d hit the jackpot after making you feel infatuated towards him. After all, you are a renowned billionaire heir. But the tables turned, didn¡¯t it?¡± Her cynical voice rang through ¡°Jason is not like that¡¡± ¡°Really?¡± ¡°I¡¯m the one who looked for him. It¡¯s my fault!¡± ¡°That doesn¡¯t count¡± ¡°It does, grandma. Release Jason now or I¡¯ll let the whole city know that I¡¯m into men¡± I threatened ¡°You won¡¯t¡± she smirked evilly. ¡°I¡¯ll have that wretch locked up forever if you do¡± ¡°I know that. But guess what, She? You¡¯ll suffer it more. My gay scandal will take a huge blow to thepany and you know whates next¡± She kept silent for a moment. She knew I was right. ¡°Fine¡± she said. ¡°I¡¯ll have him released by morning. Mind you Harley, I won¡¯t tolerate it if you go against me again. Your gay lover will suffer it¡± she threatenedN?velDrama.Org copyrighted ? content. ¡°I have decided that you will get engaged to Sara by tomorrow and you will sever all ties with that lover of yours. Your gay secret remains between the both of us¡± she said I knew what she¡¯d do to Jason if I refused so that wasn¡¯t an option. ¡°Agreed¡± I simply said ¡°Good night¡± she said and stood up and left. ******************** Running away wasn¡¯t what I normally did. I hade to terms with the fact that my secret would remain hidden and it made me more of a coward, that I epted. But I couldn¡¯t allow my actions to cause Jason more pain. I immediately went to see Jason after he was released from jail. Luckily for me, he didn¡¯t resent me just yet. He followed me to a hotel. Different from the one we got caught in thest time. I hugged him tightly when after I locked the door to the hotel room. ¡°Are you okay? Are you hurt?¡± I surveyed his body for any injuries He smiled, a crooked smile that made me heart skip. How shameless of me. ¡°I¡¯m d you didn¡¯t leave me¡± he said ¡°I¡¯m so sorry, Jason. This shouldn¡¯t have happened to you. It¡¯s all my fault¡± ¡°No¨Cno it¡¯s not¡± he said, grabbing hold of my face ¡°I¡¯ll ept whatever punishment you give me¡± I said, abashed. ¡°in fact, you shouldn¡¯t be with me again, after all I did¡¡± ¡°Stop, Harley¡± ¡°We can¡¯t be together. My family¡¡± ¡°Let¡¯s run away¡± he said I stared at him without replying. It¡¯s true that love made people foolish. Not only did it make me foolish, it also made me selfish because I fucked Jason, despite knowing the consequences My grandma was on my neck now. Running away with Jason wasn¡¯t an option and marrying a woman I didn¡¯t love wasn¡¯t an option either. I decided to run away. After all, I did it best. I was going to run away, but not with Jason. My engagement to Sara was going to hold this night and I wasn¡¯t going to let Matriarch She find me with Jason again. I nned to be smarter than I was before. ¡°Why are you silent?¡± Jason asked. ¡°We can run away and start a new ¨C¡± I imed his lips with a hungry growl of resolve. The hot, hard insistence of my mouth on his was shockingly demanding. He gave me no opportunity to deny me and the erotic plunge of my tongue into the tender interior of his. My heartbeat was racing. Every sense I possessed was reeling from the impact. The taste of him was addictive. My hands rose to his broad shoulders initially to steady myself and then to feverishly close there. His fingers dug into the expensive cloth of my jacket as though he needed that support to stay upright in the dizzy world of seductive sensation that enthralled him. Every kiss made me long with frantic impatience for the next. In minutes, we were ripping off our clothes. I entered him hard and fast I was frozen with frustration and a hunger that made me tremble because the lush, tight fit of his huge body round me was extraordinarily pleasurable. ¡°Don¡¯t stop!¡± he breathed, helpless in the grip of the erotic heat and intensity still roaring through him. Expelling my breath in a hiss of relief, I began to move again while exerting every atom of control that I could muster. My fluid increase in tempo sent excitement shing through Jason faster than an express train and fuelled my need. He bucked under me and groaned with startled pleasure when I employed slow subtle movements that tormented him with sensation. I couldn¡¯t control anything that I was feeling and what I was feeling was incredibly powerful. The hunger stoked by his passion reached a frantic height when every part of me was pitched to an unbearable degree of longing and then in a breathless heartbeat we reached an ecstatic climax. As he writhed under him in frenzied abandonment, wave after wave of pleasure convulsing his huge body, I enjoyed the longest and most stupendous release of my life. My superb body shuddering over him, we tasted the ecstasy. We held eachother till we fell asleep or should I say, till Jason fell asleep. When I was sure that he was asleep, I quietly got up from the bed, wore my clothes and was about to leave. I felt sorry that I was leaving Jason again. He deserved someone better. He wouldn¡¯t see me when he woke up because I¡¯d probably be out of the city. I decided to write him a letter and it said: ¡®Once again, I¡¯m sorry Jason for leaving you. I know it¡¯ll be foolish of me to tell you to move on but that¡¯s exactly my wish for you. Don¡¯t look for me because I¡¯d be long gone by the time you wake up. Thanks for loving me despite all myplications. Goodbye Jason. I love you.¡¯ I folded the letter and dropped it on the bedside table as tears ran down my face. I had to leave now. ****************** I quickly packed my things into my suitcase. I had just three hours left for my engagement to Sara. I had to hurry. Luckily for me, I got to my car with my suitcase safely. I was going to ditch it all. The money, fame and family. The only person I regretted ditching was Jason. I was going to another country to start a new life, far away from all the secrets and heartbreak. My car engine roared to life and I sped far away from everything. *************** AN INTERLUDE Eight yearster Harley McGuire is well off, he now goes by a new identity which is Harley Dogman.
