    This is an update but I have to make some corrections. I made a mistake. I wrote Beth was on a


    summer holiday but I''m writing with my phone so I identally pressed ''summer'' and the valentine

    I woke up the next morning and took a shower. Got ready for work and left my room when my phone

    I widen my eyes and look at my stomach to see the blood dripping out. I ce my hand on my tommy.


    "Noooooooo!!!!! Mia. Mia" Scott screamed and I fell to the ground,the darknessing in.


    "No no no no no no. Mia,you can''t do this to me right now. No.Mia!" Scott said again and I smiled at


    him. I never knew my life could pass away like this. I turned to my side and saw Mitchelle on the


    ground crying her eyes out and I felt sad. I don''t want to break another of my best friend''s heart. I


    looked up and saw taylor still in shock from what just happened but I could see the tears rolling down


    her cheeks. I felt so weak tofort any them and as the darkness closed in,I weed it in.

    "Mia! Mia! No! No. Mia,you can''t do this to me. Mia!" I yelled and tears threathened toe out but I


    held them back. I won''t cry. She looked up to me and smiles at me. Her beautiful smile but then the


    smile goes off her face and her eyes closed. I look at her. Frozen.


    "Mia! Mia! Wake up! Mia!" I said and shook her but she wasn''t waking up. I continue shaking her till I


    feel a tear drop and I let out everything. I held her in my arms as I saw the NYPDing in. They


    captured Taylor, Ashley and Jasmine.


    "You are under arrest for the kidnap of miss Elizabeth and the murder of miss Emilia Thompson.


    Anything you say can and will be used against you in the court ofw" one of the officers said. The


    paramedics rushed over to me.


    "She still has a pulse. We need to rush her to the hospital. Fast" the man said and I nodded,wiped my


    tears away from my eyes and helped to carry her onto the stretcher. I wanted to enter the van but one


    of the men stopped me and I red at me but then he gave me a sympathetic smile and looked over


    my shoulder. I followed his eyes and saw he was looking at Mitchelle standing alone and I immediately


    felt bad. I rushed over to her and gave her a hug and she hugged me back then retreated and I held


    her shoulders.


    "You need to follow the paramedics in the van and call ke and Eric okay?" I told her and she nodded


    her head and I watched as the van drove away with her in it. I looked back to beth who was still


    standing frozen.


    "Beth! Beth! Are you okay?" I said and shook her but then she started breathing heavily then fastly.


    Shit. She''s about to have a panic attack.


    "Beth! Beth! Calm down! Breathe in and out. In and out. In and out." I told her and demonstrated which


    she followed and started calming down. I carried her in bridal style and drove off to the hospital and as I


    entered a shortcut,I felt like I was forgetting something.........or should I say someone? Zainab. Oh my


    god,she couldn''t be walking alone in those streets in the middle of the night. Right now,this looked like


    a situation of choosing between toblerone and cheetos. What? I still have my childhood memories an I


    loved chocte a lot. This could''ve been aughable joke if not for the situation I was in. I rushed to


    the hospital and dropped beth off with my trusted doctor,Alexander. I made sure he was also incharge


    of mia.Even if I hate hospitals,I still have a trusted doctor. I rushed back to the scene and looked for


    Zainab but couldn''t find her. Fortunately,some policemen were still here so u went to meet one.


    "Excuse me sir,but have you seen a girl? She helped me out. She was wearing ck leggings and


    hoodie." I described her but he just continued staring at me,wide eyed and mouth agape.


    "M- Mr Ryder?" He said and then I remembered I was the CEO if apany.


    "Yeah,but have you seen the girl?" I asked again.


    "You mean detective Zainab?" He said.


    "Detective?" I asked.


    "Yes and she''s also a spy?"


    "A spy?" I said again.


    "Yes she is. She actually came to New York for a two week vacation but the the police department in


    morroco informed her that one of the top ten drug dealers they had been looking for was in New York.


    So right now,she''s at the police station with the dealer." He exined.

    "Jasmine Roberts" he said making my eyes bulge out of my sockets.

    "No, no, I know nothing. Thanks for your help sir" I said leaving him shocked. Yeah, I had that effect on


    people. I started driving back to the hospital. Jasmine, a drug dealer? I still couldn''t believe me. I loved


    her like how a little brother would. I reached the hospital and went to the reception.


    "Uhm, I''m looking for miss Emilia and miss Beth Thompson''s room." I said to the woman at the


    reception. She was wasting a lot of time and it annoyed me. This was what I hated about hospitals.


    They waste too much time.


    "Could you be fast?!" I yelled a little making her flinch at my outburst. She fixed her sses up and


    looked at me.


    "So- sorry sir, room 234,fourth floor." she stuttered and I rushed to the elevator. I waited pat-okay


    impatiently waited till I heard the ''ping'' button. I reached room 234 and hesitated but then twisted the


    door knob and opened it. There were two figures in two beds. One with wire fixed and a machine which


    was Mia and one with a drip which was Beth. The door shot making me look back and saw it was


    Alexandro.


    "How are they?" I asked.


    "Well, Beth is bet-" and then a ''beep'' sound was made from the machine that was plugged into Mia.


    Nurses came in and pushed me outside and also brought Beth out to another room.


    "You can stay in here sir." A woman said and left the room. I slept off with only one thought in my mind.


    I hope Mia will be okay.

    A door shutting woke me up. I looked up and saw it was Alexandro. I stood up and walked over to him.


    "How''s she doing Alex?" I asked.


    "She''s stable but..." He stopped.

    "I''m sorry but miss Emilia''s ina." That''s all it took. I left the hospital to my apartment. I felt hungry


    but didn''t feel like eating. I entered the bathroom and stood under the shower with my clothes still on.

    I woke up the next morning after pulling myself together and left to the police station. I met a woman at


    the reception and as she noticed me, she gave me that flirtatious look. Oh god.


    "Good morning Mr. Ryder" sh3 purrs out and I have her a fake smile.


    "Good morning. Please could you show me where the girls that were brought in yesterday are?" I


    asked and she nodded, then winked at me.


    "Follow me " she drawls out and I thank her once more. I turned the doorknob and entered and all


    heads shot up. I looked at Taylor and saw she had been crying all night and looked like she hasn''t been


    eating. She looked so dead. I looked at jasmine and saw she was kind of smiling which was creepy and


    I looked at Ashley and she was smirking.


    "Taylor why did you do it?" I tried to yell but it just came out broken.


    "Scott, I- I didn''t me-mean to do it. I regret doing what I did Scott. I mean she had you, she had ke


    too bu-but no one-no one wanted me. No one loved me. I''m really sorry. I swear I didn''t mean to do it


    Scott. Please forgive me. I''m sorry." She said and then looked like she was about to cry but held it in. I


    immediately felt what she felt but its not Emilia''s fault. Who won''t want yo have her. She was beautiful,


    she was smart, she was everything a man could ever ask for from a woman and that''s why I still love


    her. I still love Emilia Thompson. I looked at Jasmine.


    "Why did you do it Jasmine and your even a drug dealer for chrissakes Jasmine. I loved you like a


    sister. Why, why?" I asked almost on the verge of crying but held it in.


    "Oh,e on Scott, don''t cry, its not like I wanted to do it. I had to do the drugs stuff cause I liked it but


    I had to kill Emilia because I loved you. Everyone thought we were dating so I just decided for it to be


    real and besides I know you don''t actually love that Emilia girl so I know your going toe running


    back soon." She exined and I just shook my head because I was lost for words.


    "Ashley why? I mean she didn''t even do anything to you." I said as I looked at her making her roll her


    eyes.


    "Scott, I didn''t just like Emilia and gosh, she was trying to steal my spotlight. I couldn''t allow her." I just


    shook my head and started walking out.


    "Scott." Taylor called out, her voice breaking.


    "I''m sorry." And without a word, I left. I immediately left to the hospital to check on Beth and Mia. I went


    to the room which Beth was in and saw she was awake.


    "Hi Beth." I said and she turned to look at me giving me a small smile.


    "Hey Scott." She greeted and then I went to sit near her. Her eyes lit up she just remembered


    something. Thank god, she''s taking Mia''sa situation well.


    "Well, Mike just left after asking me out and I said...yes." She said nervously making my heart drop.


    She didn''t know what happened to Mia.


    "Where''s Mia Scott?" She asked.


    "Beth, Mia''s in-"


    "Scott, where''s Mia?" She asked slowly.


    "Beth, Mia''s in. Beth, she''s ina." I whispered thest part and raised my head up to see her


    reaction. She was quiet. Her mouth was slightly open. She was frozen. No word. No emotion. Just


    frozen.


    "Be-"


    "How? How did it happen?" She asked.


    "I don''t know. I think she went into cardiac arrest." I exined and she was quiet. I carried her to see


    Mia and so she cried her heart out reminding Mia that she had toe back for her. Add had to stay


    alive for her. I couldn''t discharge her till tomorrow and so I went hometer in the night and cried myself

    Mia''s P.O.V


    I saw a light and two doors. One was looking spoilt and the other was a good fixed door and then a


    woman appeared in front of me. She was beautiful. She had beautiful Violet eyes with her olive skin


    and long dirty blonde hair in a beautiful white dress. She looked just like


    "Mum?" I said shocked and then she smiled at me confirming that it was her that was really standing


    here.


    "Mia." Her beautiful soft voice said.


    "Mum!" I eximed and hugged her. Hugged her like she might go again if I leave her but then I


    released her little by little.


    "My Mia. My beautiful daughter." She said and I hugged her once more and left her.


    "Mum, you have toe back. Beth needs you. We need you mum. You have toe back". I said


    and didn''t even know when I started crying. She put her soft hand on my face which I missed so much.


    I rubbed my face on her hand as she smiled at me.


    "I can''te back Mia and that''s why your there. To take care of Beth and you are one of the best


    guardians I''ve seen." She said and smiled at me.


    "But I don''t wanna leave you


    Your going to be lonely mum and I don''t want you to be lonely."


    "But if you go now Mia, Beth won''t have anyone to talk to and have and Scott needs you." She replied


    and I shook my head.


    "Mum, Scott doesn''t love me anymore. He doesn''t need me anymore. He doesn''t miss me mum. Scott


    doesn''t love me anymore." I told her and she smiled again.


    "Oh my Mia. Scott loves you. He loves you more than you can imagine Mia and when he finds out that


    your two, he''s going to love you more than you can imagine." She said confusing me.


    "What do you mean I''m two mum?" I asked and she shook her head.


    "When its the right time, you''ll know and this is where I say goodbye." She said and stood up but then I


    held her hand tight.


    "No mum, you can''t go now. No" I said as I shook my head and she continued smiling.


    "Look at those two doors. Go through one of them and you''ll see me again." She said and then


    disappears. I run to the doors and stand in between them and then I chose the crooked door and a


    white light shines blinding my sight.


    I wake up to seeing myself in a bed. I blink my eyes to try and adjust to the light. The walls are purely


    white except for a poster with green trees on them and a figure on an armchair in the room covering


    himself with his zer. The zer falls off the person''s face and I see the person''s face which is Scott?


    What is he doing here? I ask myself. He opens his eyes and blinks them. He sees me awake and his


    eyes are wide open then I feel a wave of nausea over me as I throw up a yellow liquid and hees


    over and pats my back as I continue throwing up then when done, he makes me rest my head back


    cause it was pounding.


    "I''ming." He said, his voice raspy and deep as always. He goes out if the room andes back


    with a doctor and two nurses. Oh. So, I''m in the hospital? The nurses pack the vomit and rushes out


    and the doctor puts a hand on my head.


    "I need to test her as to know why she threw up." The doctor said and I nodded my head then he took


    small of my blood and left the room. I was really craving for water but didn''t want to talk to Scott and


    that''s why my eyes were scanning everywhere except Scott as he continued looking at me. Oh fuck it.


    "Water." I croaked out and he rushed and brought a ss full for me and he watched me as I finished


    all in one gulp.


    "You good?" He asked and I nodded. He went back to sit down and so an awkward silence passed us.


    "Why did you do it Mia?" He asked.


    "Do what?" I said.


    "You know what I mean."


    "I don''t." Then he sighs out.


    "Why did you change yourself to Emily. Why did you do that?" He asked again.


    "Because I needed that job. I would do anything just to know that Beth''s happy." I replied.


    "Why are you here Scott? In fact, why were you in that ce in the first ce? I mean, you don''t even


    like me anymore so, I- I don''t just get it." I said kind of rhetorical and so he stood up and walked up to


    me making my breath hitch as his face was a few inches from mine.


    "Your right Mia, I don''t like you at all because I love you Emilia. Emilia Thompson I love you okay?" He


    said and connected our lips together but then I pushed him back.


    "You haven''t answered my question Scott." He sighed out.


    "Jasmine had been acting suspicious and so I decided to follow her and she led me to you" he


    answered then looked up to me.

    "Why Mia? Why? Why did you leave? Why?" He said sounding broken making my heart squeeze. I felt


    so guilty for leaving him but it was the only thing I could do to protect him.


    "Scott, my father raped me" his head whipped up facing me, his facial expression telling me this isn''t


    the answer he was expecting.


    "Wh-what?" He stuttered, blinking his eyes to be sure about what I just said.


    "I was seven when it started. He said we were going to a fun ce and I was so happy I would spend


    time with my daddy. He took me to the shadier parts of the town making me confused and so I turned


    back to ask him what we were doing here but then he was already removing his clothes and then he


    did it." I felt a hand grip mine to showfort as I looked up and saw it was Scott.


    "I''m sorry Mia. I shouldn''t have aske-"


    "No its okay. I want to tell you." I cut him off.


    "He kept doing it and one day I had a chance to call the police and he found out and took me there


    again. He was about to do it when I heard the police and I was relieved. They arrested him but before


    he left, he told me he was going toe back for me because I was his and he would kill anyone who


    tried to stand in his way and so I and my mum then moved to California where I met you and fell in love


    with you after we kissed on the beach but knew I was going to leave soon because before we came to


    the beach, I received a message telling me that he was back and he''sing for me and destroying all


    I loved and so I and mum had to leave. To think back about it, I feel guilty. Gosh, I''m so sorry Sco-" I


    was cut off as I felt lips connected to mine and then pulled me into aforting embrace which I loved.


    "No Mia, don''t apologize. It was not your fault and there was nothing you could Mia." He said as I


    continued crying into his shirt which he was not mad at me for wetting it. The door shut making our


    heads shoot up to find Beth standing by the door. We looked at each other for what seemed like years


    and Scott started standing to leave to give us privacy but I needed him here and so I held his hand


    tightly and so out of surprise and shock, he smiled and sat down. I looked back at Beth who was still


    staring at me, tears filled in her eyes likewise mine and so she ran up to me and hugged me which I


    returned. I hugged her like my life depended on it and she hugged me like if she kept me go, I would


    disappear. We hugged and cried for a long time before we finally let go of each other and so she smiled


    at me, tears escaping as she tried not to cry again.


    "Mia."


    "Beth"


    "Your alive"


    "I''m alive." And with that, she hugged me once more and let me go then cleaned her tears. She looked


    between the both of us, a smirk forming on her lips.


    "Hmmm, I''ll give you guys privacy." She winked at me and left the room and I looked at my hands not


    liking how they were looking at me and a hand intertwined our fingers together making me look up at


    Scott.


    "I missed you." He said.


    "I mis-" I was cut off by the doctor that just came in, a grin on his face.


    "Yes doctor, what was wrong with Emilia that she threw up after just waking up froma?" Scott


    asked.


    "Well, its because she''s pregnant. Congrattions Mr. Ryder." the doctor said with a grin then turns to


    leave.


    "Alexandro, what did you say?" Scott asked again.


    "I just told you Emilia''s pregnant. Congrattions. Well, I''ll see youter." He says and leaves the


    room. Awkward silence fills the room. I was pregnant. But howe? I thought but then remembered


    about that night between Scott and I. I brought myself back to reality as I stared at Scott only to see a


    nk face. No emotions. Nothing. Looks like he''s not happy about it. I sigh out.


    "Sco-"


    "Mi-" we said at the same time


    "I know your not happy about then news so you can leave but I am not aborting this child." I tell him


    with all the power I have so I won''t cry out there.


    "What? What are you talki-"


    "You can leave Scott. I understand if you don''t want the child. You can go." I tell him.


    "Wha-"


    "Its okay Scott. You can le-"


    "Could you be quiet so I can speak?!!!" He yelled making me shut up and then his eyes softens as he


    strokes my face and I melt into his touch.


    "I was never going to ask you to abort our child Mia and I wasn''t nning on leaving anytime soon so


    its gonna be hard to get rid of me." He said with a cheeky grin on his face.


    "Wh-what?" I said, shocked.


    "I was never nning on leaving you Mia. I love you so much."


    "Yo-you weren''t going tell me to abort the child?" I asked.


    "I was never going to ask you Mia. What do you take me for? A murderer?" He said jokingly but I could


    hear the little hurt at the back of his voice.


    " No I don''t but why the nk face when the doctor said it?" I asked him.


    "I was overwhelmed. I was happy and I was scared because I didn''t know what we were going to do."


    He said and I understood his reason.


    "I understand."


    "Ahh, I can''t believe I''m going to be a father and the child ising from the woman I am madly in love


    with." He squealed like a kid high on sugar who just got his dreame true making meugh as he


    came to my tummy and kissed it countless times and came to my face and kissed me.


    "Thank you for giving me the best gift you could''ve ever given me." He said making me realize that


    even through all the problems and challenges we had gone through, I was
