《The Full Level Player Is Summoned By The Magical World》 Chapter 1 Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios It was June, and it was raining hard outside. Inside the house, a young man was sitting at a computer, concentrating on his game character. On the screen, a great spectacle was unfolding. Thousands of players were circling around the young man¡¯s game character. And being surrounded together with him was a Big Boss that was not to be trifled with¡ªthe Chaos Demon God! The world channel was in an uproar, and countless players were in a spirited discussion. ¡°Is Big Boss Mo Fan finally going to attack the Chaos Demon God?¡± ¡°As expected of the man closest to God. Awesome!¡± ¡°But is he prepared to fight one-on-one? Can he win?¡± ¡°Look, big shot Mo Fan is starting to attack!¡± A scream sounded, and everyone instinctively looked at the scene. Mo Fan¡¯s player character was gliding as if he was weightless. Traces of lightning snakes condensed on his body, and a mysterious voice resounded through the sky. This mysterious voice seemed to be coming from a distant place. At the same time it seemed to resonate through the sky. They couldn¡¯t hear what it was saying, but they could occasionally hear some obscure words. The night sky, which had been clear and blue, instantly turned pitch-black. Huge lightning bolts tore through the sky, delineating a huge vortex in the clouds. Lightning snakes flashed in the middle of the vortex, illuminating it. It was as if a god had awakened and was sweeping his cold eyes over the human world. It made one¡¯s blood freeze. ¡°This is¡¡± A senior player¡¯s expression changed. ¡°Fate¡¯s Judgment!¡± ¡°Is this the verdict of fate?¡± ¡°The legendary forbidden thunder spell?¡± The expressions of the players changed. Thunder magic was the most powerful magic in the game. Although it sounded like it had a lot to do with the lightning element in elemental magic, the two were not the same thing at all, according to the experts. The players understood this very well. In traditional legends of monsters and magic, the roar of thunder was a power that only the gods possessed! As for how to advance to this level, no one knew. Everything in this game needed to be explored and discovered by oneself. This included gathering books on gaming skills and synthesizing the knowledge. In any case, all the mages could only learn lightning magic now, and no one had unlocked the thunder magic. Unexpectedly, not only had Mo Fan unlocked the thunder magic, but he had also directly grasped the highest-level forbidden spell, Supreme Judgment! However, no one was sure if this forbidden spell could cause any damage. The players¡¯ worries were reasonable. The Chaos Demon God was the ultimate Boss in this Western Fantasy game. As a God-level Boss, his blood volume was close to 100 million! Even so, it was not a big problem. After all, players were best at gaining dominance through sheer numbers. Every time they explored new territory, they would adopt the strategy of outnumbering the foe. This process had been repeated countless times, and everyone was very familiar with it. However, the Chaos Demon God was not fooled. As the only God-level Boss in the game, the Chaos Demon God had a defensive skill that could resist attacks below a certain value, be it physical damage or magical damage! No one knew what this defensive tactic was called! No one knew how much damage was needed to break through the defense of the Chaos Demon God! This game was extremely realistic in terms of settings. Upon death, all the experiences and goods would be lost. Even so, countless fearless players had challenged the Chaos Demon God. Whether it was an individual or a group, and whether they tried to generate magical or physical attacks, the result was always the same: MISS! And today, the challenger was the strongest mage player in this game, Mo Fan! Even though Mo Fan¡¯s name was well-known throughout the game world, no one was optimistic that he could overcome the defense value of the Chaos Demon God. After all, the man closest to God was still a mortal, not a god! How could a mortal kill a god? ¡°He has launched the attack!¡± Another scream sounded. Everyone looked up at the sky and saw that the huge vortex in the sky was completely filled with energy. Endless lightning snakes pierced the sky, illuminating the entire universe as if it was daytime. A strange buzzing sound filled the universe that seemed to be shaking as it got hit by the shock waves of the thunderstorm. In the next second, a dense lightning snake suddenly pierced the sky! This lightning snake was so bright that all the players¡¯ vision suddenly turned white, and everything around them was instantly bathed in a dazzling white light. ¡°F*ck, I was actually blinded!¡± A player with lower resistance shouted. However, no one bothered about him. Everyone was trying their best to widen their eyes and look at the Boss. Under the gaze of tens of thousands of players, a thunderbolt landed on the head of the Chaos Demon God, who was roaring at the sky! ¡°BOOM!¡± A loud bang resounded through the universe, distorting the players¡¯ perspectives. ¡°F*ck, I¡¯m dizzy again,¡± the player from before roared again. However, no one paid him any attention. Countless players gasped in unison, as if the entire server had caught a cold. ¡°F*ck me! 999999999!¡± ¡°It actually took seconds!¡± ¡°A thunderbolt instantly killed a god-level boss!¡± ¡°As expected of the number one mage!¡± ¡°What number one mage? He should be called the Mage God, the god of magic!¡± ¡°Yes, yes, yes. Mage God, Mage God!¡± The cheers of countless players for the Mage God resounded like a tsunami throughout the game world. It was no wonder that they were so excited. This game was extremely realistic and immersive. It was so realistic that all the players could not help but lose themselves in their roles with the goal of becoming stronger. As for defeating the Chaos Demon God, it was an insurmountable peak for players on the path to becoming stronger! To those players who wanted to challenge him, it really drove the message home repeatedly that gods were gods! It was a ceiling that players with mortal bodies could not reach! Mortals were just puny individuals with no power. Even the thought of challenging him was a form of blasphemy! However, today! Right at this moment! The high and mighty Chaos Demon God who made people despair was actually killed by a player! Moreover, it was an instant kill! With the strength of a mortal, Mo Fan could kill a god! The players were excited, and Mo Fan, who was in front of the computer, was also excited. He was actually not as powerful as the players thought, with magic power that could kill gods in one blow! He had relied on that forbidden thunder spell, Fate¡¯s Judgment, to kill the Chaos Demon God! The God of Fate was the supreme god in this game. As a forbidden spell named after him, Fate¡¯s Judgment had an extreme setup. Once the forbidden spell was cast, either the spellcaster or the target would be reduced to ashes! As for who it was, it was up to the Supreme God of Fate! Fortunately, Mo Fan had won the gamble! As someone who had the courage to put everything he had into the gamble and fought fairly with the gods, it was time for him to reap the rewards! [Ding! Congratulations on killing the Chaos Demon God. You have received 10 million demon spirit stones as a reward!] [Ding! Congratulations on completing the first kill of the Chaos Demon God. You have obtained the exclusive skill of the Chaos Demon God, the Wall of Sighs!] [Ding! Congratulations on obtaining the spoils of war¡] The system notifications continued to ping, but Mo Fan could no longer deal with them. He stared in astonishment at the black hole that had suddenly appeared on the screen. ¡°What the hell is this? The Boss¡¯s skill? I¡¯ve never heard of anyone releasing a skill after death,¡± he muttered. He had done a lot of research before challenging the Chaos Demon God. There was clearly something strange about this black hole that had suddenly appeared. What was especially strange was that he felt an inexplicable suction! Before he could figure out what was going on, a huge hexagram array suddenly appeared above his head! ¡°Holy sh*t!¡± Mo Fan exclaimed as he was sucked into the black hole. Chapter 2 Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios Meanwhile, flames were shooting in all directions in front of a huge city. A group of minotaurs kept spitting bubbles at the city walls. In the sky, giant eagles spread their two-meter-long wings as they screamed and attacked the walls. Countless soldiers lined up under the city walls launched offensive after offensive. They did not use the usual catapults or ballistae. Instead, they were using various kinds of arrows, spears, and other objects that shone inexplicably. Some of the arrows did not even have a physical form. They were simply arrow-shaped lights! If Mo Fan were here, he would be able to tell at a glance that this was a warrior¡¯s skill, the Battle Aura Arrow! Clearly, this was a world of swords and magic! The arrows pummeled the city walls like pelting rain, producing explosive booms like cannon fire. They mingled with all kinds of half-moon lights. Clearly, these were high-level warriors! Even in the real world where Mo Fan previously was, such military might would make the blood of entire armies freeze. They would not be able to defend at all! However, this fortified city was standing erect and unshakable! This was because the city walls were enveloped by a huge expanse of light. Clearly, this city had the protection of a magical barrier! However, such an attack was clearly testing the protection of this barrier! At this moment, the entire barrier was rapidly changing colors. All kinds of light shone like ripples on the barrier, and the entire barrier was slowly thinning! It was only a matter of time before this barrier was broken! However, at this critical moment, the soldiers defending the city were not focused on the enemy at the foot of the walls. Their hopeful gazes were fixated on the top of the city wall. There was a huge hexagram formation there! The light of the hexagram formation was changing rapidly, and countless colorful shadows appeared. A phantom roaring at the sky appeared in the hexagram formation. Although it was silent, its violent aura made one go numb with fear! This was a level nine magical beast, the king of the Magical Beast Grassland, the Storm Wolf King! The Wolf King¡¯s phantom figure suddenly shattered, and a huge scale appeared in the light. Before anyone could tell what creature it was, a claw so huge that it filled the entire hexagram appeared suddenly and grasped violently at the outside of the magic array! ¡°It¡¯s a dragon!¡± a terrified voice said, but before he could identify what kind of dragon it was, the light shattered again, and a sky suddenly appeared! The sky was black as ink, and there was a huge vortex in the middle, like the eyes of a god looking down at the mortal world! What¡¯s this? The owner of the voice, a senior knight in ornate armor, looked puzzled. He instinctively looked at the girl at his side and held back his question. The girl was very beautiful. Her plain blue magic robe could not hide her graceful figure. Her small and delicate ears were slightly pointed. It was obvious that she had a hint of the mysterious Elven heritage. The gorgeous crown on her head drew attention to the fact that she was no ordinary female magician. Her face was full of grief now, and her beautiful big blue eyes were filled with tears as she looked at the old man beside her. ¡°Teacher, do we really have to do this?¡± she began sadly. ¡°Yes.¡± The old man was wearing a black robe that was clearly extraordinary. He had an extraordinary bearing, but at this moment, he exuded an aura of exhaustion. He had completely lost the demeanor of a high-level mage. ¡°Yes, we do. Do not weep, my princess. Soon you will succeed to the throne and become the queen. It is time for you to grow up,¡± he repeated gently, reaching out lovingly to touch the girl¡¯s head. ¡°Teacher, will our summoning succeed this time?¡± The girl tried to hold back her tears as she looked at the old man. The old man looked just as nervous, just as tired. Wearily, he said, ¡°Princess, it will work. We will succeed!¡± ¡°But is it worth it?¡± the girl asked, fighting back tears. ¡°It will be worth it!¡± the old man replied firmly. ¡°Even in death, I will make the enemy pay a heavy price!¡± The girl couldn¡¯t hold back any longer as she burst into tears. Her name was Celia. She was the princess of Skadi, a small kingdom in the eastern part of the Azure Continent. Her parents died when she was young. She was actually raised by the elderly man next to her, Klent, who was the Royal Teacher. As the only heir to Skadi, Celia was about to celebrate her 16th birthday and officially become the new Queen of Skadi. However, at this moment, bad news came. The Perus Empire in the west of the continent suddenly united a dozen countries and brazenly launched an invasion into the east of the continent! As the most powerful kingdom among the many small countries in the east, Skadi was the first to bear the brunt! As for the reason for the invasion, Princess Celia knew very well. It was because of religion! Although everyone cultivated magic and battle skills, the countries in the west of the continent believed in the God of Light. They were led by the Temple of Light and combat was their orthodox! Meanwhile, in the east of the continent, a group of countries, led by the Skadi Kingdom, believed in all kinds of gods because they were close to the Magical Beast Mountain Range and had mixed heritage. Most of them cultivated magic! For example, the Skadi Kingdom had always believed in the god of magic, nature, and the elements because their ancestors had Elven blood! The dream of the Temple of Light had always been to spread the light of the gods all over the continent. Of course, they couldn¡¯t tolerate that half the continent was infidel, so they launched their so-called Eastern Expedition every few years. However, unlike the previous invasions, the Temple of Light had united the forces of more than a dozen nations and attacked the Kingdom of Skadi jointly. It was obvious that they intended to finish the job in one fell swoop! In just a month, the Kingdom of Skadi had lost a third of its western territory. The entire western defense line was down to the final fortress, Fort Irwin! The Kingdom of Skadi was already on the verge of annihilation! Despite their best efforts, they could not stop the enemy¡¯s attack because the enemy was so powerful! With no other choice, Klent cast an ancient forbidden spell. Dimension Summoning. At this moment, he was conjuring a magic circle. Once the circle was formed, it could summon the most powerful magical creature from another world. This magical creature was not under the control of the summoner! That was why the summoning was forbidden. If they were lucky, they might be able to summon angels. But they might also summon a demon lord of the abyss. If it was an angel, then the country had a chance of survival. But if it was a demon lord of the abyss, then not only would this war not stop, it might even turn into a war between humans and demons! But Klent couldn¡¯t deal with it anymore! Dimension summoning was his only hope! Chapter 3 Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios The kingdom was at stake. The young princess in front of him was about to face a tragic fate. Klent knew exactly what would happen if Celia was defeated and captured by the Temple of Light. She would be treated as the head of the infidels and burned at the stake in front of the Church! In order to keep Celia away from such a nightmare, Klent, as a Great Archmage, was willing to bet everything on it! A Great Archmage was the most powerful person in the world. The Azure Continent had two professions, mage and knight. They cultivated magic and combat skills respectively. Depending on their strength, both were divided into levels one to nine. And a Great Archmage was the most powerful level nine mage. He could be said to have crushing strength! Even when he encountered a Great Knight Commander of the same level, he would be able to crush the latter! The reason was very simple. A Great Archmage held the ultimate power: the forbidden spell! This was the legendary power that came from the gods! Klent, as the Great Archmage of Fire, had demonstrated such power once before, which was why the fortress managed to stand despite the heavy enemy attacks. Klent was able to defend the fortress for a short time but he was unable to turn the tide of battle. The reason was simple. The Skadi Kingdom had only one Great Archmage, Klent. And the enemy had sent five Great Archmages! Despite the fact that the enemy¡¯s Great Archmages weren¡¯t engaged in battle, Klent knew full well that they were in the battlefield at this moment, coldly sizing up Fort Irwin! He could even sense the powerful magical forces gathering. Clearly, the five opponents weren¡¯t idle either. They were probably preparing a large-scale spell to destroy Fort Irwin in one blow! As a result, Klent had no choice. Dimension summoning, whether successful or not, required the burning of all the magic of an Archmage! Magicians were physically weak to begin with, and Klent was advanced in years, which meant that he was summoning creatures from another world at the cost of his own life! Princess Celia couldn¡¯t hold back any longer as tears gushed down her eyes. She looked tearfully at the hexagram. The next second, she froze. The magic circle suddenly became colorful, so dazzling that she couldn¡¯t open her eyes. Magical light and spiritual power enveloped the figure. Suddenly there were flashes of lightning and thunder rumbled in the sky. The light fog that had just been condensed by the powerful aura was spreading. From the black hole, a godlike figure slowly emerged, and golden light enveloped his surroundings. Everyone held their breath as they looked nervously at the figure that appeared. Celia held her breath and stared at him with high hopes and expectations. ¡°That aura just now was so powerful. We must have summoned a super powerful creature this time!¡± The entire battlefield instantly fell into a strange silence. The fierce attacks had stopped. Below the city walls, countless enemy soldiers were also staring at the golden figure in the light fog with nervous expressions. They were no fools. The mages had long recognized the magic array that Klent had released and knew that it was the legendary forbidden technique, the Dimension Summoning Array! They had also heard that the Dimension Summoning Array would randomly summon the most powerful creature from another dimension, but it was only from one dimension. In other words, the dimension summoning array might summon an ordinary beast, or it might summon a creature that could dominate the entire Azure Continent. The summoning just now was so powerful. Could it be that it had really summoned a top-notch creature? Everyone looked at the motionless figure in front of them. As the light slowly faded, an ordinary shadow appeared in front of everyone. The enemy carefully assumed a defensive stance. At the same time, they were puzzled. Celia, Klent, and the others were bewildered too. Why did the magical power that had seemed unmatchable seem so ordinary now? Celia looked at the old man and whispered hesitantly. ¡°Teacher, do you think he¡¯s just an ordinary human? Did our summon fail this time?¡± She was so close to the magic circle that she could see the figure standing in the center of the hexagram. It didn¡¯t have the bright white wings of an angel. It didn¡¯t have the jet-black wings of an abyssal demon. It looked human. Klent was equally hesitant. ¡°No! Maybe we didn¡¯t fail. Maybe he¡¯s a powerhouse from another dimension.¡± Celia shook her head and spoke desolately. ¡°But Teacher, what human powerhouse can be stronger than angels and demon kings? Unless he¡¯s a Saint Mage!¡± Princess Celia¡¯s words echoed everyone¡¯s thoughts. Dimension Summoning was a random summoning technique. According to legend, the most powerful beings that could be summoned were the Six-winged Seraphim and the Abyssal Demon King. Both of them had the strength of a Saint Mage! Because the Six-winged Seraphim was a creature condensed from mental power and did not have a physical body, it had saint level magical powers and was immune to all physical attacks from ordinary realms! On the other hand, the Abyssal Demon King had the innate talent to fend off magical elements. Therefore, ordinary magic that was below the Saint Realm was useless against it. Its physical strength was extremely powerful, and it had a saint level battle aura! This meant that if humans wanted to fight these two creatures, they had to be above the Saint Realm! Saint Mages, who were said to be the closest to God, had a chance of winning if they fought these two powerful creatures. However, it was clearly not so easy to reach the Saint Realm. Legend had it that in order to reach the Saint Realm, one had to first comprehend the power of the gods! This was what puzzled countless people. Wasn¡¯t the power of the gods something that only the gods could master? Even if one advanced to a Saint Mage and became the person closest to the gods¡ But that was close only. One was still far from mastering the power of the gods. Then how could one master the power of the gods when one had not even reached the Saint Realm? No matter what, there was no Saint Mage or Saint Paladin in the entire Azure Continent. Such a human had only appeared in legends, and even so, no one could be sure if the legends were true. Could this human who had been summoned from another dimension be a legendary powerhouse? Everyone looked at the mysterious figure in the light fog. A low cry suddenly sounded. ¡°Look, he¡¯s moving!¡± ¡ Needless to say, the figure in the light fog was Mo Fan, who had just been sucked into the black hole. He was looking at the scene in front of him with a dumbfounded expression. He instinctively raised his hand and sensed his body condition. He realized that he was not injured. However, he felt that, inexplicably, there was an additional blast of power in his body. What exactly is this? Chapter 4 Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios Mo Fan was very puzzled. Wasn¡¯t I playing a game and fighting a Boss just now? Why am I suddenly here with a bunch of strange people in front of me? What is that on the beautiful girl¡¯s head? Is it a crown? Is this a movie? No! When he was trapped in the hexagram, he thought he heard the conversation between the girl and the old man next to her. What were they talking about? The Saint Mage? The Angel? The Demon King? A thought crossed Mo Fan¡¯s mind like a meteor. Could it be that¡ I have transmigrated? Into a world of swords and magic? He looked up and carefully examined the hexagram array under his feet. In the next second, Mo Fan was extremely shocked. He felt a power that came from the same source as his body from the hexagram array. However, the power in his body was purer and bigger! Then, this power¡ It must be magical! But how can I use this magical power? He moved his fingers. He wanted to try releasing some skills. Uh, this is useless¡ But this scene is a little like the scene where I just killed a monster. Could it be that I became my character in the game? That must be it. I¡¯ll try to learn the characters in the game first and then release some skills! I don¡¯t know what level I am now. Why don¡¯t I release a small skill first! Therefore, Mo Fan began to try to learn how the characters in the game released their skills. He slowly raised his right hand and looked at his palm. ¡°Wind Blade!¡± There was a flash of magical light on his hand. It was gentle and not blinding. In the next second, a crescent-shaped transparent ripple appeared in the air and flew forward! The transparent ripple slammed into the wall in front of him. A small cloud of dust rose, and a shallow cut appeared on the boulder. The cut was small, and because Mo Fan had not aimed properly, the cut was irregular and even ugly. But Mo Fan was overjoyed! I really didn¡¯t expect this. It looks like I can really release the skills in the game. If that¡¯s the case, my tuba is maxed out. Does that mean I can use my awesome skills? Mo Fan was the number one mage in the previous game. Of course, after instantly killing the Chaos Demon God, he had become the Mage God that players talked about! And what established this title was Mo Fan¡¯s proficiency in all-element magic! Yes, all of them! The four basic elements of wind, water, fire, and earth, as well as the three advanced elements of light, darkness, and lightning. He was proficient in all of them! Moreover, he had mastered the most powerful of them all, the forbidden spell that was reputed to have stolen the power of gods! Of course, there was a limit to a person¡¯s energy. It was impossible for Mo Fan to master all seven types of magic. After all, that online game was extremely realistic. The success rate and power of magic were closely related to proficiency. To increase the proficiency of using a spell, one had to release it hundreds or thousands of times. Mo Fan had only learned many basic spells but had never used them. Wind Blade was one of them! Seeing this scene in front of him, Mo Fan couldn¡¯t help but feel a little happy. It seemed that he had really transmigrated to the magical world. Previously, he had fantasized about what it would be like if he became the main character in a game. Now, wasn¡¯t this the opportunity? It was just the time for Mo Fan to show off his skills. He could also try what the effects of those skills in the game were when they were really put to the test. However, as a veteran mage player, Mo Fan knew very well that the power of magic depended on the proficiency of one¡¯s skills on one hand, and on the other hand, it was also closely related to one¡¯s armaments The wands in the hands of the girl and the old man were clearly not ordinary. Moreover, the two of them had a glow about them. Clearly, they were wearing many treasures that could increase the power of magic. By contrast, he was now dressed in the casual clothes that he was wearing when he transmigrated. He had come empty-handed, so even if he released a forbidden spell, how strong could it be? ¡°I wonder if I brought my armaments with me. If I can use skills, I should be able to use armaments, right?¡± As he muttered, Mo Fan subconsciously thought of something. In the next second, a panel suddenly appeared in front of him! ¡°Armaments, backpack, skills, missions, recipes¡¡± Looking at the familiar buttons on the interface, Mo Fan almost couldn¡¯t help laughing out loud! With these things, this unfamiliar continent would be at his mercy! The path of a Mage God would continue here! Mo Fan was still immersed in his joy when a clear female voice interrupted his daydream. It was the pretty girl with the crown. She looked desperate. ¡°Mr. Wizard! You better run!¡± ¡ Princess Celia was filled with bitterness and despair. Mo Fan was the last hope she had held on to. After all, this strangely dressed mage was summoned by Teacher Klent using a forbidden technique at the cost of all his magical powers. Moreover, his appearance was extremely grand. Indeed he looked like a powerhouse from another dimension. She couldn¡¯t help having a lot of expectations. What if he was really a legendary Saint Mage? After all, even if there were no Saint Mages in the Azure Continent, it didn¡¯t mean that there were no Saint Magese in other dimensions! However, all these expectations and hopes were instantly shattered like bubbles after seeing the wind blade released by him! Even to Princess Celia, this wind blade was extremely clumsy! Whether it was the method of release, the angle, the power¡ Princess Celia was still young. Her magic level had only reached level four. If even a level four mage looked down on this wind blade, it was obvious how trashy it was. No¡ Princess Celia would say that even the junior mages who had just reached level one in the Magic Academy would probably scoff at this wind blade! This was because the wind blade was the most basic skill of wind mages. Many had even mastered the wind blade before realizing that they had the talent of mages! In other words, this mage from another dimension¡ was at most a level one mage! This made Celia feel extremely helpless. At this level, any enemy soldier could kill him with a casual Battle Aura Arrow. Why would someone with such strength appear in the summoning array? Or had other dimensions degenerated to this extent that a level one mage was the strongest among them? ¡°Run?¡± Mo Fan smiled at the girl¡¯s despair. It had to be said that not only was the girl in front of him extremely beautiful, but she was also extremely kind-hearted. Unfortunately, she had misunderstood his strength. The smile on Mo Fan¡¯s face disappeared, and a hint of arrogance appeared on his face. ¡°I¡¯ve never run away in my life!¡± Chapter 5 Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios ¡°This is not your original world. If you don¡¯t run away now, you will definitely regret it later!¡± When Celia heard Mo Fan¡¯s words, she immediately went forward and said anxiously to Mo Fan. In Celia¡¯s eyes, Mo Fan was just an ordinary mage who had been innocently implicated. If Mo Fan really had the strength of a legendary Ssint Mage, she naturally hoped that he could stay. However, from Mo Fan¡¯s performance just now, he was at most a first-level mage. Celia was already prepared to die with the kingdom, and Mo Fan was just an innocent person. He didn¡¯t even have the ability to protect himself, so Celia naturally didn¡¯t want to involve him. Looking at the girl¡¯s anxious expression, Mo Fan chuckled and said, ¡°Don¡¯t worry, with their strength, they can¡¯t hurt me yet.¡± ¡°You¡¯re going to have to deal with more than just those soldiers,¡± Klent said as he joined them. He thought Mo Fan was being a little arrogant. ¡°The enemy has five Great Archmages present. Any one of them can use a forbidden spell to wipe out an entire army, not to mention there are five of them. Can you fight five of them alone!? Besides, do you know why these five Great Archmages are taking so long to attack?¡± Klent turned to look at the distant enemy forces of the Temple of Light with grim eyes. ¡°It¡¯s because they¡¯re building up a large spell that even I fear, and it¡¯s almost complete. If you don¡¯t take off immediately, don¡¯t blame me for not warning you when you don¡¯t have a chance to leave!¡± Klent said, looking at Mo Fan again. However, unlike what Klent had imagined, Mo Fan did not look afraid at all. He just turned around and walked towards the city wall. He said very calmly, ¡°I just happen to want to see the strength of the so-called Great Archmages.¡± Mo Fan had long wanted to experience magic for himself. Now that the opportunity was right in front of him, how could he not test it out himself? Moreover, Mo Fan had also brought the skills and equipment from the original game, so he was not afraid of those ordinary magical attacks. In the game, he relied on these skills and equipment to be invincible and finally defeated the invincible Mythical Chaos Demon God! Looking at Mo Fan¡¯s indifferent and slightly curious expression, Klent felt that he seemed to be on a tour here. Could it be that his strength isn¡¯t as simple as I thought? Klent couldn¡¯t help but feel dazed because Mo Fan¡¯s relaxed expression, as if he were playing games, wasn¡¯t something an ordinary person would show. But Klent quickly dismissed his earlier thoughts. After all, the strength Mo Fan had displayed not long ago was too ordinary, barely at the level of a first-level mage. And Klent had yet to sense a trace of magic from Mo Fan. Maybe he thinks that those Great Archmages are about the same level as his world. After all, the Dimension Summoning Array could only summon the strongest in another dimension, but it could not guarantee that the level of the dimension would necessarily be higher than this world¡¯s. Thinking of this, Klent looked at Mo Fan and shook his head. There was a price to pay for arrogance. He only hoped that Mo Fan would not regret not escaping in time when the time came. At this moment, Mo Fan stood looking at the dense enemy troops of the Temple of Light in front of him. Other than feeling a little excited about testing his strength, he had no other emotions. ¡°I¡¯m just waiting for you to practice your great magic. Don¡¯t disappoint me.¡± Mo Fan was even looking forward to it. Meanwhile, the Temple of Light camp was abuzz. ¡°Haha!¡± someone laughed. ¡°I was wondering what it was. This Dimension Summoning Array has been scaring people for half a day, but this is it?¡± Low-level magic like wind blades could be proficiently released by even the most ordinary mortals. In the end, the person summoned actually seemed to be unfamiliar with releasing wind blades. ¡°It seems that this so-called Dimension Summoning Array doesn¡¯t live up to its name. It¡¯s difficult to even use a wind blade to scare people.¡± ¡°Perhaps the Great Archmage of Skadi is too lame?¡± ¡°What are you talking about? The Great Archmage has pulled the brakes. Can that be called finished?¡± The atmosphere in the Temple of Light camp instantly became cheerful. Unlike Celia¡¯s camp, many soldiers of the Temple of Light were extremely nervous when they first saw the Dimension Summoning Array. Perhaps some of the soldiers had never heard of the Dimension Summoning Array before, but after seeing the terrifying scene when the Dimension Summoning Array was used, they could barely stand. The wolf king that was transformed in the array formation and the dragon with terrifying claws almost shattered their wills! And those soldiers who had long heard of the terrifying power of the Dimension Summoning Array were even thinking about how to escape later! After all, once the summon succeeded, be it the Abyssal Demon King or the Six-winged Seraphim, they were not creatures that the Temple of Light could easily defeat! And ordinary soldiers like them were cannon fodder! This fear reached its peak at the end of the summoning until they saw a small ordinary figure. At first, some people thought that their eyes were playing tricks on them because of excessive fear. They rubbed their eyes desperately and stared carefully again. Although they vaguely felt that they had dodged a bullet, no one dared to let down their guard until they saw Mo Fan release that ordinary wind blade. This undoubtedly made many soldiers of the Temple of Light relax completely. They were sure that the person summoned had barely reached the level of a first-level mage. Not to mention a Great Archmage, even they could kill him easily! At this moment, in the core area of the Temple of Light camp behind these ordinary soldiers, there were five people standing at five corners. They were dressed in black robes with obscure and mysterious magical patterns. As they muttered mysterious incantations, powerful magical fluctuations raised clouds of dust, and their black robes kept flapping. These five people were the top Great Archmages of the Temple of Light¡ªAdams, Bals, Diluk, Mal, and Kaia! Any Great Archmage in the outside world was a terrifying being that was powerful enough to run a country! And a top Great Archmage was a top-notch mighty figure that was on par with an Imperial Lord whom one had to bow before! Unless an Imperial Lord personally paid a huge price and promised countless benefits, ordinary kingdoms could not even meet, let alone invite, top-notch Great Archmages. Even so, he could only invite one Great Archmage! To be able to invite such a top-notch Great Archmage to appear, and five at once, only the special delegation of the Temple of Light could do it! Any one of these five people was not inferior to Klent. Bals, Diluk, Mal, and Kaia were all First-level Bishops of the Temple of Light, and they were Great Archbishops of the four elements of water, fire, earth, and wind respectively. Adams, on the other hand, was a Temple-level Archbishop of the Temple of Light! The Temple of Light had mobilized a Temple-level Archbishop and four First-level Bishops this time, a total of five Archbishops. Clearly, it was to prevent Klent from using the Dimension Summoning Array and give the Skadi Kingdom a final blow! Above them, a great spell with extremely violent energy waves was constantly condensing. It was obvious that they had entered the final stage. While condensing the great spell, the five Great Archmages did not forget to cast spells to observe the situation in the Skadi Kingdom. They clearly saw Mo Fan, who had been summoned by the Dimension Summoning Array, and even saw the low-level wind blade magic that Mo Fan had used! ¡°Well, that¡¯s funny.¡± Diluk raised an eyebrow and sneered disdainfully. ¡°Looks like Klent is running out of gas.¡± ¡°We don¡¯t even have to do anything to this summoned man. A soldier could kill him with ease,¡± said Bals, looking relieved. He was the most cautious of the five. After learning that Klent had used the Dimension Summoning Formation, he had acted as if he was facing a great enemy. Now that he knew that the summoned person was a mere mortal, it was naturally like having a thousand-pound weight removed. ¡°You should have listened to me a long time ago,¡± said the scar-faced Great Archmage, Kaia. ¡°Klent is long gone. He is nothing but a caged beast. Why go to all this trouble to come up with a major spell specifically to target him? What a waste of my time!¡± Who would have thought that this mighty dimensional summoning array would end up like this? Just because this ordinary mortal had wasted half a day of the five Great Archmages¡¯ time, it really made him feel unlucky. ¡°Since the summoning array is no longer a threat, we¡¯ll use it elsewhere.¡± The Great Archmage Mal glanced at Kaia, clearly unhappy with his arrogance. ¡°Now we are in the completion stage. Since the one summoned is no threat, let these blasphemers see the power of the gods!¡± Adams, the Great Archmage with the white beard, said at last, his tone brooking no argument. As soon as Adams said that, the other four stopped talking. Clearly, among the five of them, Adams had absolute authority. Immediately, the five Great Archmages of the Temple of Light began to activate this large-scale magic. For a moment, with the Great Magic as the center, the magical elements within a radius of several kilometers fluctuated violently, and a great pressure swept in all directions. The strong elemental fluctuations and pressure caused the world to tremble, and the world seemed to be constantly rippling like water. The originally blue sky also turned golden in an instant! The world seemed to have sensed a huge threat as countless thick chains emitting light pressed down in an instant. However, in the next second, the phantom of a huge shiny sword appeared in the sky above the great magic spell and easily shattered the chains! As the chains shattered, golden light rays rained down from the void. The dust and gravel on the ground floated into the air and were swept into the core of the great magic spell, along with the magical elements. For a moment, the great magic spell was like a star nurtured by a nebula, releasing dazzling light and heat. The phantom of a Golden Holy Tree rose from the sky. A five-colored divine bird at the top of the tree howled at the sky, as if the God of Light had announced that he would shatter all heretics! Five black three-headed dogs surrounded the tree and tried to pounce on the five-colored divine bird. At the same time, two pairs of huge golden hands descended from the sky, and with a light wave, the five three-headed dogs were defeated. Then the two pairs of huge golden hands and the golden holy tree in the sky transformed into a majestic figure dressed in divine clothes, with a deep and dignified gaze. He gently pointed forward with one hand, and countless Knights of Light in golden holy armor seemed to be charging forward with all their might behind him. Finally, they converged and turned into a Divine Light Sword that almost materialized! The powerful pressure almost caused the weaker soldiers to faint. Many of them were even blinded by the intense light of the Divine Light Sword! At this moment, the Divine Light Sword that emitted a strong dangerous aura was aimed at the fortress of the Skadi Kingdom, Mo Fan, and Celia! Chapter 6 Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios Celia was in utter despair. Klent had risked everything, using the Dimension Summoning Array at the cost of all his magic. He had hoped to summon the most powerful creature in the legend, an angel or a demon king, or at the very least, a saint magical beast from another dimension. Only these powerful creatures could possibly save Skadi, or at least make the enemy pay a painful price. However, he had never expected to summon an ordinary human! His strength was only enough to release wind blades, and he did not have any protective gear or weapons on him. If he continued here, he would obviously be courting death. If he really stayed, he might distract them and cause more trouble. ¡°I¡¡± Just as Klent was about to use a scroll to teleport Mo Fan away, a strong magic wave suddenly attacked! Klent and Celia turned around sharply in that instant, looking in the direction of the Temple of Light camp. This wave of magical elements, so strong that tremors could be felt for kilometers, was coming from the core area of the Temple of Light camp! At the same time, the violent wave felt like a thousand-pound pressure had hit the Skadi camp. For a moment, the many soldiers on the walls found it difficult to remain standing. Even Klent felt the pressure, sensing the violent elemental fluctuations and powerful pressure from the Temple of Light camp. His expression suddenly changed as he let out a gasp. ¡°It¡¯s the compound forbidden spell!¡± At this moment, Klent felt a deep chill spreading from his toes to his entire body. His back was instantly drenched in cold sweat. His strong and upright body was trembling slightly. ¡°Teacher, what¡¯s wrong?¡± Celia could not help asking when she saw that Klent, who usually seemed very calm no matter how difficult the situation was, was losing his composure. She could sense the power of the great magic on the side of the Temple of Light, but she had never heard of the so-called compound forbidden spell. To Celia¡¯s knowledge, a forbidden spell was already the strongest attack a Great Archmage could use. How powerful was a compound forbidden spell?! Celia had a vague answer when she saw that Klent, who was usually calm and collected, seemed to have lost his composure because of the great magic of the Temple of Light. Still, she mustered her courage and asked Klent. ¡°This is a combination of great magic that only five top Archmages can cast!¡± Klent said. Celia froze in shock and looked lifeless. Any Great Archmage in the outside world was a terrifying being that could sweep through an army and run a country. On the other hand, top Great Archmages were elusive and super experts that ordinary kings could not even meet! These Great Archmages could overturn an ordinary kingdom in a short period of time just by relying on their individual strength! And the final destructive power of the combination of five top Great Archmages was not something ordinary people dared to imagine! ¡°And the real horror of the compound forbidden spell is that the energy it ultimately releases far exceeds the cumulative power of the five Archmages,¡± Klent said, sounding desperate. ¡°The world knows that you can only be called a Great Archmage if you can release a forbidden spell. But a compound forbidden spell is by no means something a Great Archmage can cast, and certainly not something a few of them put together can easily cast. Only the top Great Archmages of the four elements of water, fire, earth, and wind, recognized by the temple, can successfully release such spells after a long period of training! There must be at least five Great Archmages and one of them must be absolutely proficient in the four elements of water, fire, earth, and wind magic to mediate! And this person is definitely a Temple-level Great Archmage! And because the conditions for release are so strict, the final compound forbidden spell must be able to fuse the power of the four basic elements¡ªwind, water, fire, and earth¡ªin order to use more powerful advanced magic!¡± Klent spoke again after a moment of silence. ¡°The three high-level magical elements¡ªlight, darkness, and lightning! The final destructive power is infinitely close to that of the gods!¡± Klent¡¯s despair grew. Even in his prime, he would have been able to defend only himself against such a powerful spell at best. Now that he had exhausted his strength using the Dimension Summoning Array, Klent was almost resigned to his fate. Who would have thought that the mighty Dimension Summoning Array would summon a mortal who was a little rusty at using wind blades! Klent even felt that if he had summoned the Demon King of the Abyss, things would be better than the current situation. At least he could save Celia and let her escape! But now, he was afraid¡ At last, all he could do was sigh weakly. When Celia heard this, she felt as if she had been struck by a bolt of lightning. She felt a little dizzy and sank to the ground unsteadily. The tears flowed irresistibly from her bright eyes. ¡°I told you to leave, but you wouldn¡¯t listen. Now you¡¯re going to die here too.¡± Celia looked at Mo Fan with tears streaming down her cheeks. Mo Fan looked helplessly at the girl in front of him, who was crying and rebuking him at the same time. After all, she was still a girl, and he couldn¡¯t blame her. Besides, she meant well, but they just didn¡¯t see his strength. As long as Mo Fan didn¡¯t deliberately release it, they wouldn¡¯t be able to sense the magical power in him. On this thought, Mo Fan decided to comfort Celia. ¡°It¡¯s just a light-based purification spell,¡± Mo Fan said casually. ¡°Can it be compared to the power of the gods? It¡¯s not worthy.¡± At this moment, Mo Fan was not pretending. He was the most powerful mage player in his original world, a being known as the Mage God! With his previous gaming experience and the magical elemental fluctuations at the scene, Mo Fan had long determined that the great magic of the Temple of Light camp was not the so-called compound forbidden spell as Klent had said, but a high-level light magic¡ªPurification! High-level magic sounded powerful, but it was worlds apart from the so-called compound forbidden spell. It couldn¡¯t even reach the level of a forbidden spell! Could it compete with the power of the gods with high-level magic? It was really not good enough. A high-level forbidden spell in the true sense of the word was a being that could threaten the gods. It had a terrifying power that could destroy the world! That kind of power was something that no one could imagine! And the thunder forbidden spell, Fate¡¯s Judgment, that Mo Fan had used to kill the Chaos Demon God, was the true high-level forbidden spell. Once it was activated, it instantly killed the invincible Chaos Demon God! The barrier between Mages was even larger than the barrier between heaven and earth. Great Mages could only master the four basic forbidden spells of wind, water, fire, and earth. Only Saint Mages could master light, darkness, and lightning high-level magic! No matter how hard the Great Archmages tried, even if they used what they thought was a compound forbidden spell, they could only activate light, darkness, and lightning magic. To a certain extent, it was close to the power of a Saint Realm spell only. The Temple of Light regarded purifying this high-level light magic as a forbidden spell only because, with their limited outlook and experience, they had never seen a Saint Mage before. Only Saint Realm experts were qualified to release the true light, darkness, and lightning forbidden spell. This was the difference. As long as one did not become a Saint Mage, one would never be able to touch the light, darkness and lightning! ¡°It¡¯s my turn to perform!¡± Mo Fan was eager. He had long wanted to test his skills and see if he had consolidated his gaming strengths. Now that the opportunity presented itself, how could he not be delighted? Then he opened the system¡¯s equipment interface and his eyes flickered. At the same time, Klent was furious that Mo Fan didn¡¯t care a hoot about the compound forbidden spell in the face of such a life-and-death crisis. However, when he finally shifted his gaze from the enemy¡¯s army to Mo Fan and was about to scold him, he was instantly stunned. Chapter 7 Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios [Holy Garment of Origin: Holy Artifact level (Unawakened, requires five magic gems). Each gem that is embedded will awaken one negative state.] Well, if only I have the magic gems now. Looking at the striking word ¡®Unawakened¡¯ in the introduction to armament, Mo Fan¡¯s eyes flickered and he could not help but feel regretful. Although his armaments were all sacred-level items, they had not completely evolved. If he wanted these sacred-level armaments to fully awaken, he had to have a legendary magic gem like the Stone of Creation. Previously, Mo Fan had gone all out to attack the bosses repeatedly in order to kill the Chaos Demon God. It was also because there was a chance of obtaining the legendary gems after defeating these bosses. Currently, he was only missing a few legendary gems and some special materials. There would be a qualitative leap between having the legendary gems to awaken the armament, and not having them. ¡°It¡¯s a pity that I¡¯ve already transmigrated to another world and can¡¯t gather them all.¡± Mo Fan sighed. ¡°What a pity.¡± However, Mo Fan did not dwell on it at this moment. He quickly changed into the outfit from the system interface. When Mo Fan put on his outfit, he suddenly sensed that someone was staring at him. He turned around and saw Klent standing there motionless, his gaze fixed on the holy garment on Mo Fan. Klent¡¯s body was trembling, and he could not help but gulp. His pupils were dilated as if he had seen a shocking miracle. No one would believe the look on Klent¡¯s face unless they saw it with their own eyes. What hadn¡¯t Klent seen when he was young and traveled the world? And what was it about Mo Fan that made the most powerful of the Great Archmages lose his composure? No one could have guessed. ¡°Is¡ is this the legendary Holy Garment of Origin?!¡± Klent finally managed to say in a shaky voice. Mo Fan perked up when Klent blurted out the name of the outfit he was wearing. ¡°How do you know this outfit?¡± he asked curiously. ¡°Of course I know it,¡± Klent said immediately. ¡°It¡¯s a lost artifact from the Covenant¡¯s Battle of Faith centuries ago. Legend has it that the Life Goddess condensed the essence of her blessing when she created life on earth. It possesses the five abilities of rebirth, immortality, spiritual awakening, materialization, and gospel. Legend has it that when the five powers are fully activated, it can directly open the door to the netherworld and control the rebirth of the world! The various Holy Temples on the Azure Continent have been trying their best to find it, but to no avail. Why is it with you now?¡± Mo Fan was delighted when he heard this. If these things really exist in this world, doesn¡¯t that mean that the legendary gems also exist in this world?! Mo Fan thought to himself. He originally thought that he had lost his opportunity, but now he suddenly saw hope. The excitement in Mo Fan¡¯s heart was indescribable! Immediately, Mo Fan pulled out a sword that emitted a mysterious power with his right hand and showed it to Klent. ¡°Do you recognize this sword?¡± Klent saw the sword glowing with a mysterious power, and his body jerked. All kinds of impressions flooded his mind, finally pointing to an answer that he could hardly believe! His breathing quickened at the thought of what it might be. ¡°Is this the legendary 12 Movements of Dawn!?¡± Klent almost gasped. ¡°Legend has it that the Holy Dwarf Clan Leader, the King of Killers, Seuss, who hid in the mortal world for 300 years, forged this imitation of an ancient artifact. It has 12 negative energy attacks: Weakness, Aging, Sluggishness, Gloom, Fatigue, Poisoning, Tinnitus, Illusion, Chaos, Madness, Breaking, and Submersion. The ancient scroll records that this sword releases a negative energy attack every time it is swung. And when the 12 movements are played, this sword will completely turn into nothingness, leaving only a white light between heaven and earth. At the same time, a strange and mysterious ability will be born, but what it is, is never recorded.¡± If anyone could unleash the full power of this sword, he could even kill a god! Klent could no longer contain his amazement. The young man in front of him had shocked him greatly. It was one thing to see the legendary Holy Garment of Origin on this young man¡¯s body, but now he actually saw another legendary divine artifact! Klent could not help but feel a trace of fear in his shock. Who exactly is this young man in front of me? He actually possesses so many divine artifacts! The ordinary young man in front of him with two divine artifacts in possession almost gave Klent a heart attack. But as Klent gazed at Mo Fan, he realized that he had far more than two! ¡°The Ring of Candle Soul, the Sickle of Destruction, the Feather of Hurricane¡¡± Klent continued to look at the rest of the armament on Mo Fan. There was a transcendental treasure almost everywhere. The Ring of Candle Soul was a lost sacred relic from the legends of the Flaming Soul Magical Mountain. It could increase the power of fire magic by an exponential level. The Sickle of Destruction was the legendary divine artifact of the Kingdom of the Undead which could subdue the soul. It possessed terrifying dark magic power. The Feather of Hurricane was a divine artifact nurtured in the eternal storm of the Endless Sea. It could bestow its owner with terrifying storm power, comparable to the full-power attack of a wind-type Great Archmage! Even a famous Great Archmage like Klent had never been so rich, but he actually saw these treasures on this young man who was struggling to release low-level magic. Klent felt like his worldview, values, and outlook on life were about to shatter. However, this was only Klent¡¯s own guess. He could not completely guarantee that it was the truth. After all, the strength Mo Fan had shown was too weak to obtain these legendary armament. As Klent¡¯s student, Celia had naturally heard of these extraordinary armament. After seeing them for the first time on Mo Fan¡¯s body, Celia was so shocked that she forgot that she was in the midst of a crisis. Her kingdom was about to be destroyed. ¡°Are these armaments really yours?¡± Celia asked in shock. ¡°But even if you have the armament, they would be useless. Light magic is more powerful than you can imagine, let alone a compound forbidden spell. Even if you can withstand an attack from a compound forbidden spell, the rest of the fortress will still be doomed. At best, you can barely protect yourself,¡± Celia said, feeling a little downcast. ¡°Your words may apply to others,¡± Mo Fan said to Celia with a casual smile, ¡°but I¡¯m an exception. There¡¯s no accident with me around. Just remember this,¡± Mo Fan said with a wave of his hand. ¡°You¡¯re still so relaxed even in the face of disaster.¡± Celia looked at the young man in front of her, who looked completely different from the nervous and trembling people in the fortress. She couldn¡¯t help but feel even more curious. At this moment, Mo Fan turned to face the Temple of Light camp again. Celia¡¯s analysis was actually not bad. Mo Fan did not think that he could completely withstand high-level light magic at the moment. Although it was not fatal to him, he would be slightly injured. His barrier skill was indeed not capable of protecting the safety of the entire fortress while protecting himself. However, this was before he defeated the Chaos Demon God. Now, Mo Fan had a brand new skill, which was the defensive skill that the Chaos Demon God used to fend off almost all players¡¯ attacks¡ªWall of Sighs! Chapter 8 Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios The Wall of Sighs was Mo Fan¡¯s first kill reward for defeating the Chaos Demon God. At that time, the entire server¡¯s players could not break through the Chaos Demon God¡¯s defense no matter how they attacked. Many people knew that the Chaos Demon God had a defensive skill that was immune to all damage below a certain value. However, no players knew the name of that skill, and that skill was the Wall of Sighs! In the past, there had always been rumors in the game that the officials had set up a defensive skill that was immune to all damage from high-level forbidden spells¡ªlight, darkness and lightning. However, no one believed it. After all, almost no player could master the light, darkness, and lightning spells. If anyone had this defensive skill, they would basically be invincible. Even though the Chaos Demon God had such a terrifying defensive skill, all the players thought that it was a defensive skill that was immune to damage below a certain value. It was not a defensive skill that ignored all skills below the high-level forbidden spells of light, darkness, and lightning. The Boss used it to defend himself. Who would believe that the officials would set up such a defensive skill for the Chaos Demon God? Because at that time, no player had mastered any high-level forbidden spells! In the eyes of the players at that time, high-level three-element forbidden spells were almost exclusive to gods. No player dared to think that he would one day be able to master the legendary high-level three-element forbidden spell that could kill gods, not to mention that the game officials had set up an extremely abnormal defensive skill like the Wall of Sighs for the Chaos Demon God! Whoever could really master this skill would be fearless of anyone except gods. Only gods were worthy of being their opponents! Unexpectedly, Mo Fan became the first player in the game to master a high-level three-element forbidden spell and successfully defeated the Chaos Demon God. It was also because of this that Mo Fan successfully mastered the Chaos Demon God¡¯s defensive skill, the legendary Wall of Sighs that was invincible except to the gods! After that, Mo Fan learned that the legendary boundary between the Netherworld and the Pure Land of Bliss was not obvious in the past. There were often intense disputes between the two until one day, a transparent wall forcefully separated the two strong worlds! No one could imagine what kind of terrifying thing could forcefully cut a boundary between the incompatible Netherworld and the Pure Land of Bliss. And the thing that marked out the boundary between the Netherworld and the Pure Land of Bliss was the Wall of Sighs! At this moment, the high-level light magic purification activated by the five Great Archmages of the Temple of Light camp was completed. It was completely mobilized! Almost all the light in front of the Temple of Light camp gathered towards the high-level magic purification, and the core area was like a black hole. For a moment, the world was dark, and a violent wind howled like the cry of a demon. A huge golden tree rose from the ground and soared into the sky. The branches that emitted golden light kept swaying, and golden lightning flickered. Accompanied by the loud sound of metal colliding, a huge pentagram ring slowly appeared. A sword of judgment that emitted sparks stood upside down, as if it was going to give the heretics the harshest punishment! A majestic and dignified phantom was floating in the middle of the pentagram. The Divine Sword of Light in front of him was constantly condensing. From time to time, light blades would slash into the void, creating spatial cracks that could not be restored for a long time! What was even more terrifying was that in front of the Divine Sword of Light, Jade Star Rings condensed at intervals until they were close to the fortress of the Skadi Kingdom! Then the Divine Sword of Light slowly launched! Wherever the Divine Sword of Light passed, the space was distorted and shattered. The entire world trembled as if it was letting out a painful cry. Every time the Temple of Light passed through a pentagram ring, it picked up speed. In the end, only shattered and distorted spatial lines could be seen! At this moment, in the fortress of the Skadi Kingdom, everyone stared at the Divine Sword of Light which was so powerful that it could shatter space. Everyone felt a powerful pressure descend from the sky, as if it wanted them to bow to the dignity of the Divine Sword of Light. Even standing was difficult. The weaker ones were kneeling and trembling on the ground. ¡°It¡¯s too terrifying. I can¡¯t even stand in the face of this pressure!¡± someone exclaimed. ¡°Ah!¡± A soldier shouted at the same time. Everyone realized that this soldier¡¯s legs were broken! Everyone in the fortress was extremely nervous. All their hopes were pinned on the barrier of the Skadi Kingdom¡¯s fortress. ¡°Can the fortress¡¯ barrier really withstand this attack, Teacher?¡± Celia asked Klent, her face pale as she stared at the terrifying and dazzling Divine Sword of Light. ¡°It¡¯s not impossible,¡± Klent agreed, frowning. ¡°It¡¯ll hold for a while, at least!¡± The magic barrier of the fortress was created by the Skadi Kingdom after many years and countless financial sacrifices. Many high-level Mages had come together to complete it through blood, sweat, and tears. It had withstood countless powerful magical attacks from many kingdoms in the past. Previously, it had also successfully resisted the Temple of Light. Countless people in the Skadi Kingdom hoped from the bottom of their hearts that the fortress would be able to successfully withstand the attack of the Temple of Light¡¯s compound forbidden spell. This was their strongest barrier, their only and last hope. Just as the Skadi Kingdom was praying, the Divine Sword of Light and the fortress barrier were finally about to collide! The fortress barrier was almost corporeal at this moment, and it even reflected the kingdom¡¯s fortress like a mirror. A huge amount of magical elements emitted spots of fluorescent light that surged towards the fortress barrier like giant pillars, constantly supplying it with energy. At this moment, a few rays of golden light that emitted a holy aura suddenly pierced through the dark clouds in the sky. They twisted and quickly converged on the Divine Sword of Light, as if the gods were blessing it. At the same time, the space around the Divine Sword of Light shook violently as if it was being suppressed. A dazzling light instantly enveloped the entire fortress barrier. The gospel of the gods rang out at this moment, but what it brought was the declaration of destruction. Under the golden light, fine cracks appeared all over the extremely solid fortress barrier. A sound like glass shattering sounded throughout the Skadi Kingdom¡¯s fortress! In the next second, the Divine Sword of Light finally hit the fortress barrier. Everyone in the Skadi Kingdom was extremely worried and terrified at this moment. Their fate would be determined at this moment. However, what everyone did not expect and did not want to believe was that the strongest fortress in the Skadi Kingdom had actually collapsed like a bubble when facing the Divine Sword of Light! It shattered completely in an instant! Everyone felt the world spin at this moment, and there was no longer any light in their eyes. The strongest fortress in the kingdom had fallen, so what hope was there left? Chapter 9 Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios Purification is indeed a high-level light spell. It¡¯s gorgeous and powerful. At this moment, Mo Fan did not feel nervous at all. Instead, he could not help but inwardly admire the Divine Sword of Light that was charging towards the fortress with a powerful might. The fortress barrier was surprisingly shattered in an instant. It¡¯s a little stronger than I thought. Mo Fan nodded slightly. Only then did he acknowledge that the power of purification was somewhat challenging. Purification is a combination of high-level light spells. Although it is not a true compound forbidden spell, it¡¯s still quite powerful, Mo Fan thought. However, Mo Fan clearly cared more about the light and shadow experience that Purification gave him. Before he transmigrated, he could only satisfy his fantasies in the mythical movies in the cinema. However, he did not experience it personally after all. He only saw it on the screen. It was far from the exciting and refreshing feeling that he had now! This feeling of personally facing the power of a great spell is really awesome! Mo Fan was very excited at this moment. He even wanted to rush forward and receive the attack of the Divine Sword of Light to experience the power of this gorgeous great spell! Facing high-level light magic, Mo Fan had the Holy Garment of Origin on him, so he would not be injured much if he took it head-on, let alone endanger his life. It¡¯s just a shame I will get a few bruises at most but they¡¯ll be finished, Mo Fan thought, looking over at the despairing Cella and Klent. These people did not have sacred-level armament to protect themselves like Mo Fan, and their magical powers were pitifully weak. Thinking of this, Mo Fan suppressed his urge to take the Divine Sword of Light head-on and began to release the Wall of Sighs. The magical elements that were moving violently in the void seemed to have calmed down, and the space that was distorted and trembling because of the Divine Sword of Light gradually calmed down. The entire void was like a lake, and ripples appeared from it. As the ripples spread, the dazzling golden light emitted by the Divine Sword of Light slowly dimmed. The Skadi Kingdom¡¯s fortress that was originally enveloped in golden light seemed to be shielded by a pair of giant hands that covered the sky as it gradually regained clarity. As the ripples completely covered the entire Skadi Kingdom¡¯s fortress, a nearly transparent mirror wall condensed in the void. Then, with a gentle flash, it hid in the void. If no Great Archmage released his mental strength to observe, no one would be able to discover it. At this time, the Temple of Light camp was preparing to retreat after seeing that the barrier of the Skadi Kingdom was instantly shattered by the Divine Sword of Light. ¡°Hehe, it¡¯s a waste of our energy. So much for the Skadi Kingdom,¡± a soldier from the Temple of Light sneered. ¡°What a joke. Who in the world can resist the power of my Temple of Light¡¯s compound forbidden spell?¡± ¡°Well, it¡¯s all down to those five Great Archmages. Aren¡¯t they better than that Klent?¡± The soldiers burst out laughing. At the same time, the five Great Archmages of the Temple of Light were secretly pleased with themselves. They were all smiles. The Dimension Summoning Array that Klent had almost exhausted his magic to cast had only summoned a weakling, and the barrier of Skadi¡¯s fortress, which had been nurtured for years, had been shattered by the Divine Sword of Light. The war had gone surprisingly well. ¡°It¡¯s over. This war strikes faster than a lightning strike!¡± the scar-faced Archmage, Kaia, said nonchalantly, as if defeating the Skadi kingdom was nothing to him. ¡°Ah, that Klent can summon a better chicken than that lad!¡± Diluk¡¯s taunts were always so fanciful. Mal didn¡¯t say anything as he gathered his things and prepared to leave. In his eyes, the kingdom of Skadi was history the moment the Great Magic was officially invoked. There was no need to waste any more time. The cautious Bals looked relaxed and even started humming. ¡°It seems that the boy that Klent summoned is indeed useless. He is no longer capable of resisting.¡± Adams looked uncharacteristically pleased with himself. ¡°Prepare to inform the rest of the Temple of Light to get ready to withdraw.¡± At that moment, Bals¡¯ psychic energy sharpened. He suddenly pointed at the Skadi fortress and said, ¡°What is that?¡± The five Great Archmages of the Temple of Light looked at the Skadi Kingdom at the same time and found that a mysterious spatial fluctuation had lightly and quickly covered the entire fortress. It did not cause the slightest fluctuation of the magical elements. It was very strange. If they were not top Great Archmages who were very sensitive to the release of magic, ordinary people would not have noticed anything unusual. ¡°I think this might be a defensive barrier,¡± Mal analyzed, frowning. ¡°It¡¯s just a last-ditch effort. Do they expect a makeshift barrier like this to stop a compound forbidden spell?¡± Kell was confident, clearly dismissing the barrier that had just appeared. He felt that the Skadi kingdom was making a last-ditch effort after running out of options. ¡°Even the Skadi Kingdom¡¯s fortress barrier, which had never been broken before, was easily shattered by the Divine Sword of Light. This thing will probably dissipate if I go up and blow on it,¡± Diluk said sarcastically again, not feeling threatened by the temporary barrier. Adams thought for a moment and nodded in agreement. What threat could a temporary barrier that did not even cause any magical fluctuations pose? In his eyes, no matter how the Skadi Kingdom struggled, it could not escape the fate of being reduced to ashes. But in the next second, the soldiers of the Temple of Light seemed to have turned into stone statues and were stunned on the spot. In the eyes of the soldiers, just as the Divine Sword of Light was about to touch the fortress of the Skadi Kingdom and bring the final judgment to the heretics, it suddenly stopped moving and remained still. The golden light that had pierced through the sky and supported the Divine Sword of Light gradually dissipated. The large space that had been distorted and shattered by the Divine Sword of Light returned to normal. The violent elemental fluctuations and the golden fluorescence produced by the Divine Sword of Light that had affected a radius of several kilometers slowly faded. Even the many dense magical patterns that surrounded the Divine Sword of Light had disappeared. The sword light that originally covered the entire Skadi Kingdom¡¯s fortress had also retreated. At this moment, the powerful pressure of the Divine Sword of Light could not be felt at all. The dark sky caused by the compound forbidden spell had also become clear. The space in front of the Divine Sword of Light only flashed for a moment before quickly disappearing. The once imposing Divine Sword of Light was now floating in the void like an ordinary iron sword. It stopped motionless in front of the Skadi Kingdom¡¯s fortress, as if it was blocked by some powerful being, unable to continue forward to destroy the Skadi Kingdom¡¯s fortress. ¡°The Divine Sword of Light Sword seems to have been blocked by something!¡± ¡°Impossible. Didn¡¯t you see how easily the Divine Sword of Light destroyed the Skadi¡¯s Fortress barrier?¡± ¡°Yes, there¡¯s no barrier in this world that can withstand a full-powered blow from the Divine Sword of Light! I think the five Great Archmages were the ones who stopped the Divine Sword. They mercifully bestowed the heretics of the Skadi Kingdom with a little time to repent to the God of Light!¡± For a moment, the Temple of Light camp was abuzz with discussion. But still, no one thought that there was some kind of barrier blocking the Divine Sword of Light. They only felt that the five Great Archmages had kindly given them the last bit of time to repent to the God of Light. After all, the pressure of the Divine Sword of Light alone could easily shatter the souls of ordinary people and turn them into vegetative states, not to mention the divine light of judgment released by the Divine Sword of Light. No one could survive the light of judgment. The most terrifying thing was that wherever the Divine Sword of Light passed, all heretics would definitely turn to nothingness, as if they had never existed. Chapter 10 Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios In this case, a barrier that could block the attack of the Divine Sword of Light was probably an unimaginably powerful being that was rare even in legends. Unless the gods come to the world, who could cast such a divine spell? And there were not many Great Archmages in a small country like the Skadi Kingdom, let alone gods protecting them. Even they had never seen the great and holy God of Light. At this moment, the five Great Archmages, who were originally confident in the Divine Sword of Light released by the compound forbidden spell, were motionless like dead people. But now, if not for their fluttering eyes, people would almost think that they were five wax statues. As Great Archmages who had personally cast the compound forbidden spell, the five of them naturally knew what was going on better than the soldiers. The final attack of the compound forbidden spell that they had prepared for a long time was actually blocked by the temporary barrier that they had treated as a joke not long ago. At the same time, it removed all its power! At this moment, the Divine Sword of Light was at best equivalent to an ordinary iron sword. It was no threat to the fortress of the Skadi Kingdom at all. ¡°How¡ How is this possible!? What kind of magic is this?!¡± Diluk¡¯s eyes were wide. He had taunted the Skadi Kingdom and looked down on their efforts. However, the reality before him almost shattered his understanding. A temporary barrier had actually forced the Divine Sword of Light to a standstill! On the other hand, Kaia, who looked down on the Skadi Kingdom the most, was livid. He opened his mouth for a long time but couldn¡¯t say anything. The current situation was like a slap in Kaia¡¯s face. He, who was powerful and had never failed, had never encountered such a situation. ¡°This is what happens when you underestimate your enemy!¡± Bals said angrily. Even so, even Bals did not expect the Divine Sword of Light to be blocked by a mere temporary barrier. Not to mention them, no one could imagine what kind of terrifying defensive magic could withstand an attack from a compound forbidden spell. Adams tried his best to rub his eyes. With his powerful mental strength, he sensed that a transparent wall had suddenly appeared. It was the protective magic that had been secretly cast on the Skadi Kingdom¡¯s fortress not long ago! The moment the Divine Sword of Light touched the transparent barrier, its power did not manifest itself. It was as if all its power had been removed. According to Adams¡¯ estimation, even if the Divine Sword of Light increased its power by 10 times, it would not be able to penetrate the transparent barrier! Looking at the Divine Sword of Light that was actually blocked outside the fortress of the Skadi Kingdom, his hands could not help but tremble, and even his breathing seemed to stop! ¡°That¡¯s a compound forbidden spell-level attack¡¡± Adams muttered, trembling. ¡°No one in this world has ever been able to resist a compound forbidden spell.¡± Adams was born into a noble family and had exhibited extremely high magical talent since he was young. He had traveled to the various advanced magic academies and the Central Church, so he had seen countless experts and terrifying magic. However, he had never encountered a situation that made him feel so incredulous and afraid. There had never been a record of anyone in the Azure Continent who could withstand a compound forbidden spell! It did not even exist in the legends! Adams even wondered if he was hallucinating because of the intense fluctuations in the Light magic. Adams and the other four had been prepared to go home. After all, the power revealed by the Divine Sword of Light was unstoppable. Even the fortress barrier that the Skadi Kingdom had nurtured and paid a huge price for was shattered by the Divine Sword of Light. In their eyes, there was no variable at all at that time. As for the barrier that suddenly appeared, they treated it as a joke and did not take it seriously at all. How could a barrier that was used in a futile struggle be able to withstand the attacks of the five Great Archmages who had conjured a long-standing compound forbidden spell? If word got out, they would be treated as lunatics. However, the truth was that the Divine Sword of Light, which was personally blessed by the God of Divine Light, was actually easily blocked by a temporary defensive barrier! This fact was like a shocking thunderclap that struck the minds of the five Archmages present! ¡°That¡¯s not right!¡± At this moment, the five Great Archmages of the Temple of Light suddenly thought of something. ¡°Only a Saint Mage could possibly defend against a compound forbidden spell,¡± Adams said suddenly. ¡°But there could never be a Saint Mage in Skadi.¡± ¡°That¡¯s right,¡± Mal agreed now. ¡°If the Skadi Kingdom had a Saint Mage casting a defensive spell, how could we not have sensed it?¡± ¡°I suppose we¡¯re worrying too much,¡± Kaia agreed. ¡°It must be the failure of our compound forbidden spell.¡± ¡°They¡¯re lucky this time!¡± Diluk said bitterly at this moment. ¡°I¡¯m afraid that dimension summoning array was also a ruse Klent used to scare people!¡± Listening to the words of Diluk and the others, Adams thought about it again and again. In the end, he also thought that it should be the failure of the release of the compound forbidden spell that allowed the Skadi Kingdom to escape. The attack of the compound forbidden spell could only be defended by the legendary Saint Mage. The last Saint Mage recorded in the legends of the Azure Continent had long disappeared a thousand years ago. Since then, there were no more legends of Saint Mages on the Azure Continent. Adams, of course, didn¡¯t think that the little Skadi kingdom could have a legendary Saint Mage. Even if it had, Adams would have sensed the magic fluctuations when it released its defensive magic to resist the compound forbidden spell. But Adams had never sensed the magic fluctuations that he also found powerful and terrifying. So he finally attributed it to the fact that the preparation time for the compound forbidden spell was too short, causing the magic to dissipate and eventually fail after breaking the Skadi kingdom¡¯s fortress barrier. It wasn¡¯t blocked by the sudden appearance of the Skadi¡¯s magic barrier. ¡°But why is there a trace of extremely pure aura of light on the Skadi side?¡± Adams was thinking of something else now. The moment the barrier of the Skadi fortress was shattered by the Divine Sword of Light, Adams suddenly sensed a very pure aura of light coming from the Skadi side. This wisp of aura was extremely similar to the Temple of Light¡¯s blessing that Adams had once felt from the God of the Temple of Light, except that there were other auras vaguely interspersed between this pure aura of light. However, Adams couldn¡¯t be completely sure if this was an illusion caused by his short-term magic consumption. In the end, Adams decided that it was his illusion, because other than the Light God, it was impossible for such a powerful being to have such a pure aura of light! Not even a powerhouse from another dimension! This was because the most powerful beings that the Dimension Summoning Formation could summon were the Seraphim and the Abyssal Demon, but even they could not withstand the attack of a compound forbidden spell! Adams thought that although Klent was slightly stronger than he was, he could not be strong enough to use the Dimension Summoning Formation to summon a divine being. At this thought, Adams finally relaxed. Then he said to Diluk and the others, ¡°Recover your magic as soon as possible and prepare for a second attack. Prevent the remaining heretics of the Skadi Kingdom from taking advantage of this opportunity to counterattack! The Skadi Kingdom just got lucky. Next time it might not be so. The Skadi Kingdom is no more than an autumn leech now. It won¡¯t be able to bounce around for long.¡± Diluk and the others did not think that the Skadi Kingdom could raise any more waves. They thought that the Skadi Kingdom had dodged a bullet. It had only been lucky because the compound forbidden spell had failed to be cast. Chapter 11 Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios Before this, the people in the Skadi fortress were in total despair when they saw the terrifying power of the Divine Sword of Light shattering the fortress barrier easily. They closed their eyes and waited for the final moments. ¡°After trying for so long, it didn¡¯t work at all. The opponent was too strong.¡± Klent looked at the Divine Sword of Light that shattered the void and felt weak. ¡°So much for overrating our own strength.¡± The late king had died young. He remembered the king¡¯s final entrustment and he had assisted the young Celia to painstakingly build the Skadi kingdom for so many years. He did not expect that they wouldn¡¯t be able to escape destruction ultimately. He had failed the late king¡¯s trust. Even Celia, the only bloodline of the late king, could not be saved. At this moment, Klent¡¯s ramrod-straight posture seemed a lot more stooped. He was filled with a sense of powerlessness. There was no way around the situation now. The destruction of the Skadi kingdom was almost a foregone conclusion. Only a Supreme Archmage could bring a gleam of hope for survival, but such an Archmage was nowhere to be found inside the fortress. The young Celia began to weep in despair. ¡°Father King, I have failed you,¡± Celia sobbed. ¡°I am not capable of protecting the kingdom you have worked so hard to build.¡± The earnest hopes that her parents had placed on her before they died were still etched in Celia¡¯s mind. Since then, as the only bloodline of the late king, the burden of running the entire kingdom had been placed on Celia, who was only a few years old at that time. She had worked hard to learn from Klent, hoping only to be qualified to inherit the kingdom left behind by her parents and to run it with the greatest effort. Unexpectedly, the Perus Empire led several kingdoms that believed in the Temple of Light in a joint attack against the Skadi Kingdom in the year she turned sixteen and was about to succeed to the throne. No matter how hard she tried, it was useless against a powerful enemy like the Temple of Light. Celia was still a young girl, after all. How could she face such a desperate situation? She could only close her eyes, kneel on the ground and cry in despair. However, the expected suffering did not come. The dazzling golden light that had covered the entire fortress suddenly disappeared, and the fluorescence in the void caused by the violent magical fluctuations was also gone. ¡°What¡¯s going on?¡± Celia cried for a long time but the sword did not come down. She could not help but look up. ¡°Has the attack of the compound forbidden spell actually stopped?¡± At the same time, Klent and the others in the fortress, sensing that something was amiss, looked up and gaped. They looked with stunned disbelief at the irresistible Divine Sword of Light in the sky, stuck above the fortress like an ordinary iron sword! An almost transparent barrier covered the entire fortress of the Skadi Kingdom, easily shielding it from the Divine Sword of Light, which was previously shining with golden light. All the magical fluctuations of the Divine Sword of Light had disappeared, and the shattered space that stretched for a thousand meters was restored. The immense pressure was lifted. The gray sky was clear, and even the magical patterns surrounding the Divine Sword of Light were gone. There wasn¡¯t even a single ripple on the barrier that suddenly appeared to resist the Divine Sword of Light. Instead, the Divine Sword of Light seemed to have been stripped of all its powers and turned into an ordinary iron sword that hung in the void. If someone who didn¡¯t know better saw this, he wouldn¡¯t believe that this was actually a light-type compound forbidden spell. Who would believe that the Divine Light Sword could be blocked by a barrier and even turn into an ordinary iron sword? One would be treated as a lunatic for saying this and the Temple of Light would definitely have one roasted on a pillar of fire! ¡°The Divine Sword of Light was really suppressed!¡± Someone finally recovered from his deep shock and exclaimed loudly. His voice was filled with the joy of surviving a calamity. ¡°This is wonderful! My Skadi kingdom finally has a chance to fight back!¡± ¡°The gods are watching over us! The Temple of Light has angered the gods!¡± The Skadi survivors felt a mixture of fear and joy. Their intense excitement prevented them from thinking about who had cast this barrier spell with its awesome defensive power. Their first reaction was to think that the gods were protecting them, that the Temple of Light had gone against the will of the gods. It wasn¡¯t accurate, but in a way, it was. Earlier, they were gripped by fear of the Temple of Light¡¯s compound forbidden spell. In the final moments before the divine sword descended on them, many people could no longer sense their heartbeats. Now, looking at the Divine Sword of Light that the Temple of Light had called Armageddon, it felt like the nightmare was over. For the first time, the people in the fortress of the Skadi Kingdom experienced a rebirth. Everything that had happened seemed like a terrifying nightmare, but now they finally returned to reality. ¡°Are the gods really watching over us?¡± Celia¡¯s shining eyes were now filled with sparkling tears, but this time they were tears of joy. ¡°This is wonderful.¡± Celia stroked her chest and breathed deeply. However, Celia quickly regained her composure. The attack of the Temple of Light¡¯s compound forbidden spell had been blocked by the mysterious barrier, but it could not have appeared out of thin air. But even Klent, the strongest in the fortress, had never had such a powerful defensive spell. He did not have the magic to cast it. At this thought, Celia looked incredulously at Mo Fan, who was now leisurely watching the enemy troops by the city wall. Could he have¡ Celia was shaken now. Celia was very familiar with everyone in the Skadi fortress. She thought that no one among them could release such a terrifying and powerful defensive spell. If she had a mage with her who had such powerful strength, how would the Temple of Light dare to besiege Skadi? But a variable had appeared in their midst. It was Mo Fan. Celia also realized that Mo Fan had never revealed a trace of nervousness from the beginning. He even seemed to be having fun, as if everything was under his control. A defensive spell that could resist a compound forbidden spell surpassed Celia¡¯s understanding. She did not dare to imagine what extraordinary strength the mage who cast such a terrifying defensive spell had. Then she looked in another direction not far away and saw that Klent was staring at Mo Fan intently. His lips were pursed, and his eyes were filled with disbelief. His body was trembling slightly. After taking another look at Mo Fan, who seemed to be taking in the sight of a new wonder, Celia quickly walked over to Klent and whispered curiously, ¡°Teacher, what exactly was that barrier that appeared just now?¡± Chapter 12 Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios ¡°The Wall of Sighs.¡± Klent practically spat out the words, which even he could not believe. If Klent hadn¡¯t known so much about the strength of the people inside the Skadi¡¯s fortress, he wouldn¡¯t have wanted to believe that the young man in front of him, whose magic he couldn¡¯t feel at all, had such terrifying power. But what was actually happening in front of him forced Klent to believe the seemingly absurd truth. When everything else was ruled out, it didn¡¯t matter how outrageous the remaining answer was. It was the only correct answer! Otherwise, there would be no other reason to explain the situation. ¡°What!?¡± Hearing those words, Celia froze and her heart raced. Celia had learned about the Wall of Sighs from Klent in the past. According to Klent, the Wall of Sighs was the legendary wall that lay between the Pure Land and the Underworld. It completely cut off the integration between the Pure Land and the Underworld. Even the extremely powerful god, the Queen of the Underworld, who controlled half of Hell, had to cry when faced with this obstacle! It was hard to imagine what kind of terrifying power was needed to achieve this effect! At the time, Celia had thought that Klent¡¯s description of the Wall of Sighs was exaggerated. It was impossible to believe that such a powerful defensive spell existed. The Wall of Sighs was nothing more than a myth. After all, the Wall of Sighs that Klent had mentioned was so powerful that it defied common sense. It was difficult to believe that it was the truth. But now the legendary Wall of Sighs that lay between the Pure Land and the Underworld, the defensive spell that was powerful beyond Celia¡¯s belief, had actually appeared before her eyes! The undeniable truth shattered her former doubts about the Wall of Sighs. At this moment, the legend of the Wall of Sighs was no longer an illusory legend to Celia, but an absolute fact! Momentarily, she felt her head buzz. She was dizzy from the shock. Meanwhile, the others around Klent reacted to the conversation between him and Celia. ¡°I didn¡¯t expect that the defensive spell that could resist the compound forbidden spell was actually released by this young man. I didn¡¯t even sense a trace of magic fluctuation before!¡± Someone said in a trembling voice. ¡°I was even a little desperate when I saw that it was him that Mr. Klent had summoned, but I didn¡¯t expect myself to be the short-sighted one!¡± Someone felt that his vision was too narrow, and for a moment he regretted it. ¡°You really can¡¯t judge a book by its cover. How terrifying is his power to be able to release this powerful magic at such a young age!¡± Many were shocked that Mo Fan possessed such terrifying power at such a young age. In the blink of an eye, everyone in the Skadi Kingdom¡¯s fortress was engaged in discussion. They kept looking at Mo Fan with admiration and gratitude. Everyone cursed themselves for not being able to tell that the youth that Klent had summoned was actually a super expert who could release the Wall of Sighs. They were all exasperated with their own short-sightedness. ¡°Could he be the legendary Saint-Realm Mage!?¡± Celia finally managed to calm the turbulent emotions in her heart and asked Klent in amazement. How could Celia not be pleasantly surprised? For a mage to cast the Wall of Sighs and easily withstand a compound forbidden spell, there could be no reasonable explanation other than his strength had reached a terrifying Saint-Realm level. At this point, it was difficult for Celia to imagine what other being could release an extremely powerful defensive spell like the Wall of Sighs and easily resist the attack of a compound forbidden spell. And if Celia¡¯s guess was right, then this moment was like the Saint Mage descending from the sky to help the Skadi Kingdom. What did this mean? It represented a direct reversal of the battle between the Temple of Light and the Skadi Kingdom! This was a terrifying being that was no weaker than Klent or even many times stronger! No matter how many soldiers the Temple of Light had, and even with five Great ArchMages present, they were absolutely no match for the Saint Mage! How could the light of stars compare to the vast sky? The legendary difference in strength between a Saint Mage that had not surfaced for nearly a thousand years and a Great Archmage was even greater than the difference between a mortal and a Great Archmage. Just releasing a high-level three-element forbidden spell comprising Light, Darkness, and Lightning alone surpassed what ordinary Great Archmages could do! If he was the legendary Saint Mage as Celia guessed, why would the Skadi Kingdom need to worry about the invasion of the Temple of Light? It was better to say that those people from the Temple of Light should worry about their own safety! If a Saint Mage attacked, even the five Great Archmages would find it difficult to return alive without paying a huge price. But Klent was shaking his head now. He glanced at Mo Fan and said slowly, ¡°I don¡¯t feel any magic rippling through him.¡± A defensive spell that could withstand a combined forbidden spell cast at full strength by five Archmages was definitely not a low-level spell. However, high-level spells could not be cast instantly. The spellcaster had to chant for a certain period of time, and while chanting, he would cause intense magical fluctuations. None of this could escape Klent¡¯s senses. But Klent didn¡¯t sense any chanting or magical waves from Mo Fan at all. It was instant magic, and now Klent had some inkling of what might have happened. ¡°He most likely used magic scrolls!¡± Klent went on. The only explanation was that Mo Fan most likely had an extremely precious and rare magic scroll, and had used it to release the Wall of Sighs in that instant. Only magic scrolls that could seal magic and legendary beings that possessed certain divine power could allow people to release such a powerful and terrifying magic like the Wall of Sighs in an instant without chanting or causing magical fluctuations. Legend had it that when the First War God of the Hanass Empire was born, he was led to Heaven by the six-winged Seraphim to receive the baptism of the Eternal Water. The only time he suffered a defeat was when the Great Archmage of the enemy unexpectedly took out several magic scrolls and instantly cast several powerful spells, turning the situation around in the twinkling of an eye. The more Klent thought about it, the more certain he was that it was true. Relying on a magic scroll would indeed allow Mo Fan to unleash the Wall of Sighs in an instant to ward off a compound forbidden spell. It was the most logical¡ªand the only¡ªexplanation Klent could come up with. Otherwise, as far as Klent knew, Mo Fan would never have been able to cast such a terrifying defensive spell without anyone else being aware of it. As a necessary part of the process of releasing a high-level spell, no one could escape this rule without the help of a magic scroll. If it had been any other spell, it might have been possible, but what had just been released was the legendary Wall of Sighs! Chapter 13 Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios ¡°There¡¯s such a thing?¡± Celia was shocked and curious. Klent was the walking encyclopedia of the Kingdom of Skadi. As his student, Celia knew almost everything that Klent knew. But this was the first time Celia had heard anything about the magic scroll from Klent. In the past, Klent had never mentioned it of his own accord. A small scroll could actually seal such powerful magic. Celia had never imagined that such a thing existed in this world. A magic scroll that could turn the situation around in the blink of an eye was an absolutely rare and precious treasure. A mage who possessed a magic scroll definitely had an extraordinary background and strength. And this young man who had been summoned to the Skadi Kingdom not long ago actually carried a magic scroll with him. Furthermore, it was a magic scroll that sealed a terrifying defensive spell like the Wall of Sighs. Celia could not help but think that Mo Fan must have a terrifying background that mortals could not have. As if reading Cella¡¯s thoughts, Klent said, ¡°Every one of these pieces of armament he¡¯s carrying is no less than a holy relic. He couldn¡¯t have obtained them through his own strengths.¡± In Klent¡¯s eyes, even if Mo Fan relied on a magic scroll to release the terrifying defensive magic of the Wall of Sighs, his strength was completely insufficient to obtain so many holy-level armaments. Every holy-level armament was extremely rare. Even top Great Archmages had to spend a lot of time and effort to obtain a holy-level armament, and they might not be able to obtain it in the end. Many Great Archmages did not even have a holy-level armament yet. Only some of the top Great ArchMages had painstakingly obtained a few holy-level armaments. The only explanation was that Mo Fan had an extraordinary background, which was why he could have so many holy-level armaments at his current level of power. ¡°He¡¯s too young at the moment to reach the rank of Saint Mage,¡± Klent added. It was impossible to release the Wall of Sighs on his own without reaching the level of a Saint Mage. And Mo Fan was too young, so in Klent¡¯s eyes, he definitely didn¡¯t have the power of a Saint Mage. To reach the legendary realm of a Saint Mage, the first test was mage talent, and the second was the lifespan of the magic. To the Great Archmages of the Azure Continent, the Saint Realm was not as unreachable as what the legends of mortals claimed. Being able to figure out and successfully release a compound forbidden spell that was close to the power of the Saint Realm meant that the path to becoming a Saint Mage was theoretically clear. Unfortunately, although his strength had reached the level of a Great Archmage, Klent could not escape the limit of his lifespan. He was now in his twilight years. He would go to heaven at any moment to meet the God of Magic. Even if he knew how to advance beyond a Great Archmage to become a Saint Mager, he did not have the ability to continue in this direction. Although the path to becoming a Saint Mage was clear, it would take time to comprehend. But because of the limit of his lifespan, Klent no longer had that much time to meditate. A genius like Klent, who was not inferior to anyone in the entire Azure Continent, could only sigh helplessly as he looked at the unattainable path of becoming a Saint Mage in his twilight years. In his eyes, Mo Fan¡¯s mage level was at least seven or eight because activating a magic scroll was not an ability that ordinary mages could have. It had to be at least a level seven mage. Otherwise, having a magic scroll would be useless. To be able to reach the strength of at least a level seven mage at such a young age was rare in the entire Azure Continent. Therefore, Mo Fan was a super genius in Klent¡¯s eyes! Even a Great Archmage with vast knowledge and extraordinary strength like Klent had never seen someone like him before. However, no matter how rare a super genius was, he was not truly strong until he had matured. Therefore, Klent thought that it was impossible for Mo Fan to fight the entire enemy army of the Temple of Light alone. It would be fine if it was just against those soldiers, but the other party had five Great Archmages present. This was something that even Klent, who was ranked as a Great ArchMage in the entire Azure Continent, could not withstand. At the same time, a powerful and exquisite wave of magic interrupted Klent¡¯s thoughts. Klent¡¯s face changed as he sensed it, and he jerked his head in the direction of the wave. ¡°This aura of light is unexpectedly pure!¡± As he stared straight at the source of the magical wave, Klent¡¯s body was almost immobile and his face was filled with disbelief. The various shocks he¡¯d received today had been overwhelming. Klent had never felt so out of place before. He had underestimated Mo Fan. In the strong magical wave that Mo Fan emitted, Klent actually felt an extremely pure aura of light. Endless light magical elements were flickering in space, circling Mo Fan like pets excited to see their long-lost master. Klent had traveled the entire Azure Continent for almost half his life, but he had never seen a mage who could emit such a pure aura of light, even among the most devout believers of the God of Light. The aura of light emitted by the Pope of the Temple of Light, who was extremely loyal to the God of Light, was slightly inferior to Mo Fan. Even so, the Pope of the Temple of Light was called the number one person under the God of Light by the mages of the entire Azure Continent. He was the person closest to the legendary strength of a Saint Mage. He was a rare opponent in the world, and his strength was almost the greatest in the entire Azure Continent. Now, the aura of light that Klent could sense from Mo Fan was no less pure than that of the Pope of the Temple of Light. Klent would not have imagined or believed it until he witnessed it with his own eyes. The aura of light that emanated from his body could actually be purer than that of the Pope of the Temple of Light. One might even think he was the God of Light who had descended to the mortal world. If word got out, not only would one be besieged by the believers of the God of Light, but even laughed at by a random passerby. But now, Klent could really sense an aura of light that was even purer than that of the Temple of Light¡¯s Pope. What kind of terrifying power was behind this? Klent couldn¡¯t even think about it without his old body trembling. What Klent felt was even more terrifying was that while Mo Fan possessed an extremely pure aura of light, he also had a deeply terrifying affinity for the light magical elements! Light magic was one of the three high-level magic: light, darkness, and lightning. Only the legendary Saint Mage, who was the closest to the gods in the world, could release it alone. If ordinary Great Archmages wanted to release light magic, they had to cooperate with each other to perform specific light magic. Even so, it required these Great Archmages to have a high affinity for light magical elements. Otherwise, it would be difficult to release light magic. Even so, compared to Mo Fan, the Great Archmage, who had the highest affinity for light magical elements, was like a firefly compared to the bright moon. Moreover, Mo Fan had displayed such a terrifying affinity for light magical elements all by himself! Chapter 14 Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios But now, Klent could really sense an aura of light that was even purer than that of the Temple of Light¡¯s Pope. What kind of terrifying strength was behind this? Klent could barely stand with his old body just thinking about it. What was even more terrifying was that Mo Fan had an extremely pure aura of light and also a deeply terrifying affinity for light magical elements! Klent felt as if his view of the world was about to be turned upside down by Mo Fan, a young-looking mage. Klent wasn¡¯t the only one who noticed the strong magical wave coming from Mo Fan. Celia was staring at him intently now, her bright moon-like eyes filled with astonishment and perplexity. Occasionally, a bright light flickered between them. Celia had never seen such a huge and pure magical aura on any mage. It was like the purest water source from the boundless sea. She felt that this magical aura was a little unfamiliar and she was not sure what it was. Looking at Mo Fan, who was about to release his magic, Celia felt unparalleled excitement. Her curiosity surged like a monstrous wave because of Mo Fan¡¯s various actions. ¡°What kind of magic is this?¡± Celia asked Klent quietly. ¡°I¡¯m not quite sure what it is, but it could be light magic.¡± Klent¡¯s voice seemed to tremble now. It was easy to imagine how much Mo Fan must have shaken him, to the point that it was taking him a long time to recover. It wasn¡¯t that Klent didn¡¯t know enough, but Mo Fan was too outrageous. Klent was doing just fine. Anyone else would have fainted by now. Everyone in the Skadi fortress had heard what Klent just said, and they were so shocked that they couldn¡¯t control their emotions. ¡°What? There¡¯s actually a mage who can cast light magic alone!?¡± ¡°Light magic is one of the three high-level magic. Only a legendary Saint Mage can release such powerful magic that can kill gods!¡± ¡°Can he be the legendary Saint Mage? He¡¯s too young! I don¡¯t even dare to think such a thing exists!¡± ¡°But if he really is a Saint Mage, the Skadi Kingdom may be saved!¡± Many in the Skadi fortress were so shocked that they wondered if there was something wrong with their ears. Most people might think it was a joke if they heard that Mo Fan was preparing to cast light magic at this moment, but this was coming from Klent! Klent was one of the most powerful Great Archmages in the Azure Continent. The words that came out of his mouth were unquestionable authority. Almost no one would believe that the experienced and powerful Great Archmage Klent could make a mistake. Everyone in the Skadi fortress knew that the Temple of Light had released the compound forbidden spell of light that had terrified them not long ago. It also required the cooperation of five Great Archmages to cast it together. It took five Great Archmages working together to cast a light spell, but Mo Fan could actually cast a light spell by himself! The answer was almost obvious at this moment. The young man summoned by Klent was most likely a terrifying existence whose strength was comparable to the gods in the legends¡ªthe Saint Mage! Otherwise, no one could think of any other reason why a young mage could actually cast a light spell that only the legendary Saint Mage could release alone. Therefore, although this answer seemed extremely ridiculous, everyone just had to believe. More importantly, this gave them hope, and also gave the Skadi Kingdom hope! Almost everyone in the Azure Continent understood that only Saint Mages were the most powerful mages in the world, terrifying beings comparable to the gods. However, no one really knew how powerful and terrifying the Saint Mage was. This was because in the nearly 1,000 years of the history of the Azure Continent, Saint Mages existed only in the legends that were constantly circulating. No one had ever seen a Saint Mage. The last Saint Mage in the legends was Koze, who was born 1,200 years ago. He was the last Saint Mage in the vague historical records. Legend had it that Koze was extremely talented since he was young, making the experts feel ashamed and deeply amazed. He was a terrifying being that almost suppressed an entire era. However, even such a terrifying being with extraordinary talent and strength was stuck at the level of a Great Archmage and did not become a Saint Mage for hundreds of years. Perhaps Koze¡¯s piety finally touched the gods of heaven. To the amazement of the world, when his life was about to come to an end, he became the legendary Saint Mage. The ground trembled at that time, and countless earth elements surged from the cracks into the sky, like dragon snakes. The dead trees in the forests were lush with leaves in an instant, as if spring had come overnight. Wood elements slowly emerged from the newborn leaves and drifted endlessly through the forests. Entire huge forests were enveloped in a vibrant green light. The three elements of water, fire, and thunder gathered in the sky, causing a tornado for several kilometers. The fire elements condensed in the center of the storm, as if the scarlet eyes of the gods were staring at the mortal world. Meanwhile, the lightning flickered in the eye of the storm, as if it wanted to bring the most violent judgment upon the sins of the world. Led by the dual elements of light and darkness, the five elements of water, fire, earth, wood, and lightning formed five pillars of light surrounded by obscure runes and incantations that gathered towards Koze. Finally, they formed a Hexagram magic ring behind Koze. The light of the four elements of water, fire, earth, and wood illuminated the edge of the ring, and in the center of the Hexagram, light and darkness intertwined, and lightning flickered in between. Koze, whose life was about to be exhausted and whose aura was already enervated, instantly became full of vigor, as if he had endless power. The most terrifying thing was the final battle between Koze and the legendary Demonic Flame Black Dragon. That battle cast a veil of darkness over a 50-kilometer radius, and only the magical light emitted by the Demonic Flame Black Dragon and Koze could be seen. In the end, Koze released the Triple Forbidden Spell of Light, Darkness, and Lightning, which killed the Demonic Flame Black Dragon that had wreaked havoc in the human world for hundreds of years. Legend had it that the battle shattered space and even attracted dimensional creatures, but Koze killed them easily. As for the place where Koze fought the Demonic Flame Black Dragon, the magical elements were exhausted and could not be conjured again. Because the space was extremely unstable, no magical elements could be transmitted there. Hence, just like mortals, no one could use magic in that area. From then on, the battleground of Koze and the Demonic Flame Black Dragon became a forbidden land in the Azure Continent. It was the current Forbidden Demon Realm of Fabul! And Koze was given the title the ¡®Demon Saint¡¯ after that battle! Chapter 15 Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios Thinking of the terrifying strength of the legendary Demon Saint, Koze, everyone was both awed and excited. That was the true strength of a Saint Mage who swept away all terrifying power! And now, there was a being in the Skadi Kingdom¡¯s fortress who alone could release light magic! It was very likely that he was also a legendary Saint Mage! If Mo Fan was really a Saint Mage, then the fortress of the Skadi Kingdom would be saved! As long as there was a legendary Saint Mage holding down the fort, no matter how many enemies there were from the Temple of Light, it would be no problem for the Saint Mage. Even if the five Great Archmages joined forces, it would be completely impossible for them to defeat the Saint Mage. The Temple of Light would be wiped out! The Temple of Light would definitely become a joke that resounded throughout the entire Azure Continent! However, these were only the conjectures of the people in the fortress. They were not completely sure that Mo Fan was the legendary Saint Mage. But this was also the only hope for the Skadi Kingdom to resist the invasion of the enemies from the Temple of Light! By now, everyone had entrusted the safety of the Skadi Kingdom¡¯s fortress and their lives to Mo Fan. They hoped that he would sweep across the world like the legendary Saint Mage, Koze, and completely destroy the enemies from the Temple of Light. ¡°Look! Light magical elements are gathering that way!¡± Someone in the fortress seemed to have discovered something. Everyone looked in his direction. They saw the scattering of sunlight on the ground. Countless light elements slowly appeared between the rays of light and converged on Mo Fan. Momentarily, the light elements floated in the air like catkins. Immediately, although Mo Fan did not speak, a holy incantation sounded and rippled through the light. It was like the song of a beauty, or the whisper of a god, striking the deepest recesses in the hearts of those who heard it. As the incantation continued, five mysterious and obscure magic patterns spun and floated in the sky with Mo Fan as the core. Then sparks flashed. It was as if several invisible giant hands had carved golden magical rings around the patterns in the void. The hexagram array slowly appeared in the center of the five rings. The hexagram array condensed in the white clouds directly above Mo Fan, as if the gods had descended to bless the world. A crack slowly tore open in the white clouds, like Heaven¡¯s Gate had opened. Through the crack, endless light flickered. Mo Fan was gliding in the void under Heaven¡¯s Gate. The 12 Movements of Dawn was behind Mo Fan, and there were 12 divine swords at Heaven¡¯s Gate. The incantations on the swords flickered with dazzling lights, and a magical power gradually appeared. ¡°This is a forbidden spell.¡± Mo Fan looked at the men from the Temple of Light. ¡°Purify!¡± At this moment, in the Temple of Light camp, the five Great Archmages had already noticed that Mo Fan was casting a mysterious spell. ¡°Attention, the person Klent summoned is condensing magic now. Be extremely careful!¡± Adams said cautiously, stroking his beard. ¡°This person is already floating in the void. I¡¯m afraid the condensation magic he is practicing is not ordinary.¡± When a mage released an extremely powerful spell alone, a powerful magical elemental fluctuation would pull the spellcaster into the void. This was the mark of the publicly acknowledged mage in the Azure Continent when he released his strongest attack. ¡°Just being mysterious. That¡¯s what Klent is good at.¡± Kaia obviously didn¡¯t think it was what Adams thought it was. ¡°It¡¯s just a flying spell. Who wouldn¡¯t know how to do it?¡± ¡°Klent¡¯s Dimension Summoning must have been a ruse to fool us,¡± Kaia said again. ¡°It¡¯s impossible to summon anything powerful.¡± ¡°With that flying speed, I¡¯m afraid I could shoot him down with my eyes closed. Easier than shooting a bird,¡± Diluk said with a chuckle. It was obvious that these Archmages were confident in their abilities and did not think that a young man who looked so weak could be a threat. If the young man was a threat, wouldn¡¯t Klent have destroyed the Temple of Light soldiers when he summoned him? Would he have kept them alive until now? This was why these Archmages had all assumed that it was just another trick Klent had come up with to buy time. At the moment, the Archmages couldn¡¯t help but once again admire Klent¡¯s courage and intelligence in tricking people. It really gave them a lot of fun on a boring battlefield. Adams, on the other hand, didn¡¯t relax too much. As the Temple of Light Archbishop, he had to be cautious at all times. ¡°One should not underestimate the enemy,¡± Adams said in a slightly more serious tone. ¡°One should still be careful.¡± ¡°Tell the commanders of the allied forces of the Temple of Light to prepare their magical defenses for the counterattack of the Skadi heretics,¡± Adams added. ¡°Don¡¯t worry, I¡¯ve already ordered the commanders of the allied forces to prepare for defense. The soldiers all have battle aura to protect their bodies, and there are many middle and low-level mages in the army who can release defensive spells. Don¡¯t worry,¡± Kaia replied. By now, the allied forces of the Temple of Light had received Adams¡¯s orders, but many of the soldiers didn¡¯t care. They thought Adams might be too cautious. ¡°When Klent surprised me earlier by casting the Dimension Summoning Array, didn¡¯t he still end up summoning a loser?¡± ¡°That¡¯s right. I thought he would be very strong. Wasn¡¯t he helpless when facing our compound forbidden spell after that? I almost thought that the compound forbidden spell was finally blocked. I couldn¡¯t breathe for a moment.¡± ¡°Exactly. Fortunately, it was only a failure to release the compound forbidden spell. It didn¡¯t affect the overall situation.¡± ¡°That¡¯s right. Now they¡¯re using the flying technique to scare us. Do they really think we¡¯re three-year-old kids?¡± Many of the soldiers in the allied forces of the Temple of Light discussed the outcome of the battle smugly as they looked forward to being rewarded for destroying this group of heretics from the Skadi Kingdom. There were even some who were already thinking about looking for girls after the army had withdrawn. After all, the Skadi Kingdom¡¯s counterattack had already proven to these soldiers how weak it was. Klent was powerless to resist the judgment army of the Temple of Light. He could only exhaust all his magical powers to cast the Dimension Summoning Array. In the end, he only summoned a rookie who was a little unfamiliar with low-level magic. After that, he was even more powerless to resist the attack of the Temple of Light¡¯s compound forbidden spell. The fortress barrier that had been nurtured for many years was directly shattered by the Divine Sword of Light. The composite forbidden spell subsequently failed due to a lack of magical power, giving the Skadi heretics the chance to live a little longer. But they were still going to die. It was nothing more than the composite forbidden spell had failed to be cast. The army of the Temple of Light and the five Great Archmages still had the strength to fight. And now this rookie, summoned by Klent, was suddenly floating in the void and condensing magic. In the eyes of the many soldiers, he was just practicing a flying spell to scare people. He just wanted to live a little longer. To the soldiers of the allied forces, this was a complete joke. Chapter 16 Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios ¡°Using a rookie who¡¯s struggling to release a wind blade to scare people? It looks like the Skadi Kingdom is running out of tricks.¡± ¡°I¡¯m afraid he can¡¯t even break through a soldier¡¯s battle aura, let alone the defensive magic of a Temple of Light mage,¡± one of the commanders of the Temple of Light¡¯s allied forces sneered. Like the rest of the army of the Temple of Light, this commander had no illusion that the present Skadi Kingdom could pose a threat to them. The man Klent had summoned could barely cast a low-level spell like the wind blade. Even if he¡¯d been a high-powered Great Archmage, when combined with Klent, they were only two Great Archmages. The Temple of Light, on the other hand, had five of them. There was no way the Skadi kingdom could have gotten away from the hands of the five Great Archmages of the Temple of Light. ¡°Yo, this is pretty warm.¡± Glancing at the 12 swords behind Mo Fan in the sky, the legion commander didn¡¯t feel threatened at all. He even felt that the light from the 12 Movements of Dawn was a little warm. ¡°I think it¡¯s quite suitable for warming in the winter,¡± the mage beside the legion commander agreed with a smile. ¡°Do they want to use that to scare people? It doesn¡¯t hurt to look good.¡± The legion commander chuckled. ¡°He¡¯s just fighting like a cornered beast.¡± The mage seemed to sense something else. ¡°But the light from those swords seems to be getting stronger.¡± At this moment, the legion commander also looked up at the sky. In the void, the golden runes surrounding the 12 Movements of Dawn behind Mo Fan gradually unfolded and rotated at high speed in a double spiral with Mo Fan at the core. At the same time, the light emitted by the 12 Movements of Dawn became stronger and stronger, gradually making it difficult for one to look straight at it. It was as if a second sun had been born in the sky. ¡°I didn¡¯t expect the Skadi Kingdom to be capable of casting magic with such intense light.¡± ¡°So what? It¡¯s not able to hurt anyone.¡± ¡°Haha, it¡¯s a pity that this magic doesn¡¯t light the way to the Dark Abyss like a beacon guide.¡± The soldiers in the allied forces of the Temple of Light were also surprised to see this, but they didn¡¯t pay much attention to it. They just narrowed their eyes to prevent damage to their eyes. After all, no matter how strong this light was, it was only for show. If the Skadi Kingdom really had the ability, why would they need to do this to scare people? They would have attacked the Temple of Light with a large spell. ¡°Ow!¡± Just as the allied forces of the Temple of Light were paying no attention to the light of the 12 Movements of Dawn, a soldier suddenly couldn¡¯t help but scream. He quickly covered his mouth with his hand, indicating that he couldn¡¯t control himself for a moment. The many soldiers of the Temple of Light did not pay much attention to it. They just thought it was an ordinary accident. But soon, more and more soldiers of the Temple of Light¡¯s allied forces could not help but scream. Their screams rose and fell, one after another. At first, these soldiers still had the consciousness to cover their mouths tightly with their hands, wondering why they were suddenly so strange. But as time passed, these soldiers¡¯ hands that were covering their mouths turned red, and fine drops appeared on their foreheads. The blood vessels in their eyes increased, and their expressions began to distort strangely, like those scary dolls made in workshops. The soldiers of the Temple of Light, with their hands clamped tightly over their mouths, suddenly threw their heads back and laughed, as if possessed by demons. Some of these soldiers rolled their eyes and grabbed the heads of other soldiers beside them and shouted crazily, as if they had gone crazy. Some of them collapsed to the ground and twisted with dense cracking sounds, like wooden figures. The soldiers who had collapsed to the ground were twisting their bodies and moving quickly. When they touched the feet of normal soldiers, they immediately wrapped around them like pythons. The scene was very dreadful. All kinds of phenomena like this were happening in the allied forces of the Temple of Light at this moment, as if demons were wreaking havoc among them. These people were specially affected by the negative effects of the 12 Movements of Dawn. ¡°These damned heathens have a lot of tricks up their sleeve!¡± The allied commander frowned at the appalling scene unfolding before him. ¡°It¡¯s a pity that these small tricks are so inferior. They¡¯re embarrassing.¡± The allied commander sneered, thinking that it was ridiculous for the Skadi KIngdom to use such a despicable counterattack. In the eyes of this legion commander, this kind of trick might have some effect on low-level warriors with insufficient battle aura. However, to high-level warriors with powerful battle aura, this method was useless. And this legion commander was a level-eight knight with a powerful battle aura, so he was not worried about being affected like those ordinary soldiers. ¡°Quickly cast a spell to remove the negative effect on the soldiers,¡± the legion commander ordered the mage beside him. However, in the next second, before the mage could respond, the commander¡¯s vision blurred suddenly and everything turned black before him. He felt his strength being drained, and the world began to sway in his eyes. At last he held the spear tightly to prevent himself from falling to the ground. ¡°Oh no!¡± he exclaimed. ¡°I didn¡¯t expect the Skadi Kingdom to have some tricks up their sleeve. Even I was caught off guard.¡± The allied commander was extremely shocked. He was a level eight knight, and his battle aura was extremely powerful. He was considered one in a million among knights. Relying on his powerful battle aura, the commander had never been affected by any negative effect magic. But what he never expected was that he would be hit here in the Skadi Kingdom, which was about to be destroyed. He realized at that moment that the spell the Skadi Kingdom had cast was probably not ordinary magic. It should be one of the kingdom¡¯s trump cards. He had thought that magic which only produced negative effects could only serve as support ultimately. It was embarrassing to use magic without inflicting the damage of a major spell. Although it shocked him a little, it was far from terrifying. However, when he realized that this was the legendary 12 Movements of Dawn, he tried his best to escape this battlefield. Legend had it that Theseus, the greatest leader of the Holy Dwarf Clan and the most terrifying king of killers who traveled the world and left a mark in the annals of the Azure Continent, had an arch enemy. His enemy was the most famous Great Archmage in the Azure Continent. For hundreds of years, Theseus could not defeat that Great Archmage. This made him feel utterly humiliated, until the 12 Movements of Dawn appeared! Chapter 17 Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios After successfully refining the 12 Movements of Dawn, Theseus immediately found the city where the mighty Great Archmage lived and fought him in a final battle. At that time, almost everyone in the city did not think highly of Theseus, because that Great Archmage had comprehended another terrifying wood magic not long ago. After his strength increased, he was no longer the same as before. Everyone in the city thought that Theseus would definitely lose this battle and his reputation would be destroyed. However, when Theseus released the 12 Movements of Dawn, he slowly slashed out with his sword. The light in the sky seemed to brighten a little. Momentarily, everyone was dazed. As the 12 Movements of Dawn continued to slash out, each slash became brighter. When the twelfth sword finally cut through the void, the world was enveloped in light. Everyone could not see anything else except the white light. When the final light dissipated, everyone saw that the pupils in the eyes of the Great Archmage, who was originally full of confidence, had long disappeared. All that was left were white discharges with blood streaks. He had completely lost consciousness. In the end, Theseus walked up to the Great Archmage and easily decapitated him with a single slash of his sword. Since then, the name of the Twelve Music of Dawn had spread throughout the entire Azure Continent, becoming the most terrifying holy artifact in the hearts of all the Archmages. As for the Legendary King, Theseus, he had been immortalized in history because he had personally forged the Twelve Music of Dawn. However, the legion commander of the allied forces of the Temple of Light clearly did not recognize the twelve swords in the sky that were officially the legendary Twelve Music of Dawn. At this moment, he was furiously commanding the mage beside him to cast a spell to remove the negative effect. ¡°Hurry up and release the magic to remove the negative effect on my body. Then cast a wood magic to strengthen my spirit!¡± the allied commander shouted to the mage beside him. ¡°I¡¯m preparing.¡± The mage immediately released a wood magic on the commander to help him remove the negative effect. The commander felt the wood magic circulating in his body and his weakened body becoming a little more comfortable. But when he opened his eyes again, he was still blinded by the endless light. It was as if the mage had not used magic to remove the negative effect just now. ¡°Didn¡¯t I tell you to strengthen my mind after releasing magic to remove the negative effect on me? Why am I still trapped by it?!¡± Clearly very displeased, the commander said angrily. After waiting for a while, the commander realized that the mage did not respond. Infuriated, he turned around to reprimand the mage. However, when he took a closer look, he realized that the mage was looking up at the sky. He did not know what he was looking at. When the commander saw this, he could not help but be curious. Then he followed the mage¡¯s gaze. The allied commander was stunned on the spot as he looked in disbelief at Mo Fan. Mo Fan¡¯s eyes were closed, and there was an inverted triangle on his forehead that was like a silver gem that emitted big and small brilliant rays. Meanwhile, the mysterious and obscure incantations and golden magical patterns around him intersected and revolved, causing faint ripples in the void. Every ripple in the air was accompanied by an increasingly high-pitched song. As the pitch rose, the light emitted by Mo Fan¡¯s body also became stronger. The five-star hexagram formation that was floating in the air slowly rotated around Mo Fan along with the hymn. Five golden threads gradually twisted and extended to Mo Fan¡¯s body. Then the 12 Movements of Dawn swords behind Mo Fan crossed into a ring shape and spun at high speed. They floated above his head, guiding the huge magical energy of the hexagram array to attack Heaven¡¯s Gate in the sky. Mo Fan suddenly opened his eyes. For a moment, divine light appeared. Countless rays of light surged out of Heaven¡¯s Gate above Mo Fan. A wave of light that distorted space swept in all directions. At this moment, it was as if the entire world was enveloped in this dazzling light. The sun in the sky had long disappeared, and Mo Fan had become the only sun in the world. Everyone¡¯s vision was distorted by the light that enveloped the entire world. In their eyes, there was only an endless white space and the faint shadows of everyone. The intense pressure of the endless light made it difficult for everyone to breathe. If not for the fact that they still had the feeling of stepping on solid ground, everyone would have thought that they had fallen into an endless abyss of light. In this endless world of light, only Mo Fan hung high in the sky, releasing endless light that could not be looked at directly. It was as if a true god had descended to judge the mortal world. At this moment, the allied commander suddenly felt as if his limbs were melting, and he lost his perception. His consciousness gradually dimmed, as if he was about to be completely devoured by the endless light in front of him. He could barely raise his head to look at Mo Fan¡¯s figure in the sky. Dazed, he felt as if he had seen a legendary great and powerful god. Looking at the phantom of the god, amidst the dreadful wails around him. his heart gradually calmed down, and his mind became clearer. As time slowly passed, the commander finally walked completely into the light and entered an eternal sleep. The five Great Archmages at the core of the Temple of Light camp were also in a daze. Their hands could not stop trembling, and their backs were drenched in cold sweat. Clearly, the five Great Archmages were also extremely shocked. At this moment, they felt as if they had entered the purgatory of the human world. The terrified cries of the soldiers of the allied forces of the Temple of Light kept ringing in their ears. These cries were extremely jarring, and ordinary people would probably faint when they heard them. In this endless light, there were countless corpses of weak soldiers. Their faces were distorted and scary when they died, as if their facial muscles had been pinched like dough. One could imagine how terrified and desperate these arrogant soldiers were when the endless light swept over them. As for the slightly stronger high-level knights, they were still holding their weapons tightly and relying on their battle aura to resist. However, looking at their trembling bodies and hands which had turned purple, it was obvious that they would not be able to last for long. At this moment, what supported them was probably their desire to live. But no matter what, everyone in the allied army who had survived was probably regretting that they underestimated their enemy. They had paid no attention to the Skadi Kingdom¡¯s counterattack. They had declared that the Skadi Kingdom could escape for a moment but couldn¡¯t run away forever, and threatened to completely destroy the heretics. However, they did not expect that they themselves would be the ones facing a life-and-death crisis now. At this moment, everyone only hoped that they would be as lucky as the Skadi Kingdom had been before. They hoped that this terrifying magical release would fail. Chapter 18 Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios The five Archmages of the Temple of Light could barely withstand the power of this terrifying magic. The endless light released by this terrifying magic almost filled the entire world. No one had the ability to escape. Even defensive magic was useless. They could only rely on their magic or battle aura to withstand it. If not for the fact that the five Archmages were far away from the center of the magical release and had profound and incomparable powers, they probably wouldn¡¯t have been able to last long. Even so, the five Great Archmages of the Temple of Light did not have the slightest ability to retaliate. They could only rely on their own magic to exhaust themselves until Mo Fan stopped releasing his magic. They had never experienced such a terrifying suppression of strength. A huge sense of powerlessness filled their hearts. It shattered all the mockery and contempt they had displayed before. ¡°I¡¯ve never seen such magic. The light directly covered the entire space and burned all the living beings within! The power is too extraordinary!¡± Kaia wiped the sweat off her forehead and said in extreme shock. ¡°I¡¯m not sure what this spell is. The only thing I¡¯m sure of is that it must be a light spell!¡± Diluk couldn¡¯t help but exclaim. His mocking and smugness had long since disappeared, leaving him deeply shocked. ¡°The Skadi Kingdom doesn¡¯t believe in the Light God. There isn¡¯t even a member of the Temple of Light there. Where do they find a mage who knows light magic?¡± Mal frowned. For the life of him, he couldn¡¯t figure out how the Skadi Kingdom, which was in desperate straits a second ago, could suddenly launch such a powerful attack. ¡°Don¡¯t tell me the Skadi Kingdom also has five Great Archmages working together to cast a compound forbidden spell?¡± Mal said in amazement. ¡°Impossible. Where would Klent find the time to gather the other four Great Archmages? Besides, to help the Skadi Kingdom at this point would be to go against the Temple of Light. Anyone would have to think twice.¡± Mal then shook his head to dismiss what he¡¯d just thought. Mal, Kaia, and the others didn¡¯t think that such a terrifying large-scale spell could be released by Mo Fan alone in the void. There had to be some cooperation from the other Great Archmages, but they couldn¡¯t think of anyone else who had such energy to help Mo Fan release such a large spell. ¡°As long as we¡¯re okay,¡± said Bals. ¡°A large forbidden spell of this level won¡¯t last long. We have enough magic to last until it¡¯s over.¡± That being said, Bals himself could not guarantee a hundred percent that he would last until the end of the large spell released by the Skadi Kingdom. This large spell was simply too strange. It did not look like a group spell that matched a forbidden spell. It looked more like a forbidden spell released by one person alone, and its power far exceeded that of a compound forbidden spell. But past knowledge made it impossible for Bals to believe that the large spell in front of him was a forbidden spell cast by a single person. The Saint Mage, who could cast three forbidden spells of Light, Dark, and Lightning on his own, had been gone for almost a thousand years. Where in the Skadi Kingdom did the Saint Mage come from? Adams didn¡¯t speak at the moment, but was forcing himself to calm down and analyze the situation. Compared to Bal¡¯s fluctuating thoughts, Adams knew full well that the large-scale magic released by the Skadi Kingdom was definitely not a compound forbidden spell. As an extremely senior Temple of Light Archbishop, he had released more than one compound forbidden spell and knew exactly what elemental fluctuations and power it could cause. Adams was especially familiar with the light-based compound forbidden spell. However, the large-scale spell released by the Skadi Kingdom was beyond Adams¡¯ understanding. If that wasn¡¯t a compound forbidden spell, the answer would probably be obvious. Furthermore, Adams was almost a hundred percent sure that the Skadi Kingdom couldn¡¯t possibly gather five Great Archmages to release a compound forbidden spell, let alone release a light compound forbidden spell by a single person! Adams took a deep look at Mo Fan, who was releasing endless light in the void, and the shock in his eyes couldn¡¯t be greater. At this moment, Adams could only think of ways to analyze what kind of forbidden spell this large-scale spell was. Otherwise, he could not decide on a solution at all. He could only be exhausted to death. A dazzling light lit up in front of Adams. It was one of the commanders of the Temple of Light¡¯s allied army, a powerful level eight knight! He had been reduced to dust by the large-scale spell of the Skadi Kingdom! Adams¡¯s body jerked as if he¡¯d just thought of something. He immediately turned toward Kaia to cast a wild spell, pouring magic into her to strengthen her barrier. Kaia, on the other hand, turned to Adams. ¡°Archbishop, what are you doing?!¡± she asked in amazement. To pour magic into another¡¯s body at a time like this meant giving up completely on maintaining his own barrier. He would never last until the end of the major spell. It would be tantamount to suicide! ¡°Even if I try my best to protect myself, I won¡¯t survive,¡± Adams said, shaking his head, his face drained of color. By now Adams¡¯s body was melting. ¡°It¡¯s a Sacred Flame,¡± Adams said weakly. ¡°Sacred Flame!?¡± The other four Great Archmages felt as if a bolt of lightning had struck them. The legendary power of the Sacred Flame was well known to the many powerhouses in the Azure Continent. Everyone was shocked. It was because the Sacred Flame was almost unsolvable. No matter how powerful other magic was, as long as you were strong enough, you had the possibility of resisting it. However, the Sacred Flame was a terrifying magic that became stronger when you were strong. The stronger the magic or battle aura in your body, the stronger the Sacred Flame burned. When encountering the Sacred Flame, resistance was completely futile. Only by running for one¡¯s life could one have a chance of survival. Legend had it that countless powerful Great Archmages had all disappeared in the long annals of history because they had underestimated the Sacred Flame. Facing the Sacred Flame, resistance meant only death! ¡°Where did the Skadi Kingdom summon the Sacred Flame from!?¡± Kaia felt a powerful pressure on her barrier as well, as if she herself would be turned to dust before long! Kaia¡¯s entire body trembled at the thought, and intense fear gripped her. ¡°Go! You¡¯re the fastest. With the protection of the barrier I gave you, you should be able to fly out of the range of the Sacred Flame¡¯s magic! Return to the imperial capital immediately after you fly out of the range of the Sacred Flame and report to His Holiness that the messenger of the God of Light has reappeared in the world!¡± Adams said urgently to Kaia, who was still hesitating. After saying that, Adams turned to look in Mo Fan¡¯s direction, the shock in his eyes reaching a peak. Kaia and the others were far inferior to Adams in terms of seniority and experience, so they naturally couldn¡¯t assess Mo Fan¡¯s true strength. Only Adams understood that this terrifying Sacred Flame was summoned by the Light forbidden spell cast by Mo Fan, who was shining endlessly in the void. Moreover, this forbidden spell was cast by Mo Fan alone! Only the personal envoy of the God of Light could have such extraordinary strength and be able to cast a Light forbidden spell alone! ¡°This is definitely not mortal power.¡± Looking at Mo Fan, who was emitting endless light in the void, Adams gradually turned into specks of fluorescent light and dissipated into the wind. Chapter 19 Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios There was a sea of fire at the foot of the city walls, and endless screams filled the air. On the city walls, there was silence, as if time had stopped there and the scene was still. All the soldiers were speechless with amazement as they stared at the scene below. They stood motionless, as though their bodies were frozen. Right now, all they could see was the endless white flames, and their ears were filled with the sound of heart-rending screams. The world had become a living hell. The white tongues of fire were arrogantly consuming the mages and soldiers. No one could escape. As Skadi¡¯s soldiers looked through the transparent protective barrier and saw the white flames that sought to take the enemy¡¯s lives, they understood deeply that on the city walls was earth and below the city walls was hell. As the endless light swept across the land, the allied army on the ground were engulfed in the white flames as if they had drowned silently in the sea. They saw the Great Archmages of the Temple of Light put on all their defensive artifacts when they felt the endless pressure and fly into the sky with all their might. Their desire to live made them react quickly, but even if they erupted with their magic and tried their best to escape, they could not escape the white flames. Streams of light in the sky disappeared into the white flames. At this moment, five huge luminous spots suddenly lit up in the distance. They were in the direction of the five Great ArchMages, the most powerful beings in the Azure Continent. One of them disappeared into the horizon like a stream of light. The remaining four balls of light turned into four towering torches in the next moment. The torches were red lights, a sign that the Great Archmages were dead. Four of the most powerful Great Archmages in the world had died at once, and only one had escaped in a panic. How powerful was this magic? It had instantly killed four of the strongest Great Archmages in the world! In the present world, in the entire history of the Azure Continent, no mage had been able to kill four Great Archmages in one blow. Could it be that the respected Klent had really summoned the strongest person from another world? ¡°But¡ but these were Great Archmages!¡± said a voice from above the silent walls. A Great Archmage was a powerhouse who could destroy a country by himself! At this moment, five words appeared in the minds of the soldiers on the city wall at the same timea€¡±¡®But these were Great Archmages!¡¯ One Great Archmage was a being that could drastically change a country¡¯s political situation, not to mention there were five of them. This was definitely a hopeless situation for the enemy. The soldiers looked at the overwhelming white flames under the city walls. At this moment, a sense of relief that they had survived filled everyone¡¯s hearts. Today, this young man had saved all of their lives from the god of death! This divine magic was something that no one had ever seen or heard of before. Everyone¡¯s gazes turned to Mo Fan, who was still floating in midair under the array. He was like a god that had descended upon them. The light of a savior enveloped him. It was not that they had never seen magic that could instantly take a person¡¯s life, but they had never seen magic with such a wide attack range and such deep power. Most spells followed a pattern and mages had a limited amount of magic. When the power of an attack was great, the range tended to be small. However, the magic of the young man in front of them was beyond their ordinary understanding. This magic directly enveloped an army of hundreds of thousands and left these legions defenseless. Such a magical attack was at least 10 times stronger than the most powerful forbidden spell of razing cities. It was even more outrageous that a forbidden spell actually burned four of the other party¡¯s Great Archmages to death, and the remaining one fled without resistance. In the past, if one heard that, one would probably laugh and think that this must have been made up by a minstrel. There was no credibility at all. To everyone¡¯s knowledge, the Great Archmage was the top being in the world. No one could harm the strongest among the strong, let alone kill them. Even a Saint-Realm warrior could only pose a slight threat to the Great Archmage and be more arrogant. But the Great Archmage could withstand a forbidden spell with his powerful magic barrier. The soldiers on the city walls really couldn¡¯t understand what kind of magic it was that caused the flames to spread for thousands of miles. Everywhere they looked was purgatory. The knight closest to Mo Fan looked at him in shock and said, ¡°I¡¯ve heard that the flames used by the church to punish heretics are white.¡± The surroundings shook, and their eyes were filled with the same shock. ¡°How is this possible!¡± Only high-level mages could release the white Sacred Flame in the church. Legend had it that this was the divine power of the God of Light. In order to punish the guilty, he had given this power to the mages who served the gods. But even so, the Sacred Flame could not be released by just one high-level mage. It had to be done with the help of the mysterious ritual of the church. Moreover, the Sacred Flame released each time was only a fraction. Usually, it would take more than half a day for the church to burn the heretics to death with holy flames, but now, in the blink of an eye, the world was covered in a sea of fire, and hundreds of thousands of people lost their lives. This was nothing more than the power of a heavenly god personally descending to punish them! A knight in white armor wielding a golden sword looked down the city walls at the dissipating streams of light in the white flames, and his fanatical eyes gradually regained clarity. ¡°But,¡± he said slowly, ¡°the legend says that the Sacred Flame was a divine object sent down by the gods to aid his Covenant in punishing heretics. But the ones burning now are the allied armies themselves!¡± ¡°Now, but it didn¡¯t burn us at all!¡± There was a murmur of agreement. ¡°That¡¯s right. Isn¡¯t the Sacred Flame supposed to burn the pagans? Why is it burning the God of Light¡¯s own followers? Is their God of Light blind?¡± When someone heard this, he couldn¡¯t help but laugh and say happily, ¡°What if? It¡¯s not impossible!¡± Many soldiers were puzzled by this and asked the commander beside them curiously, ¡°Sir, why is that so?¡± ¡°This is the real Sacred Flame!¡± ¡°Commander, do you know why?¡± Everyone was asking questions at once. The legion commander standing in front of the wall was exhausted. He had been holding on with sheer willpower. Now that the checkpoint was out of danger, he relaxed with a sigh. His heavy armor collided with the wall and slowly slid down. Chapter 20 - In Purgatory, Saved From Certain Death Chapter 20 In Purgatory, Saved From Certain Death ¡°Commander!¡± ¡°Commander, what¡¯s wrong?¡± ¡°Sir!¡± The surrounding soldiers hurriedly went forward to support the legion commander. He struggled to his feet and said weakly but firmly, ¡°I don¡¯t know what this Sacred Flame is. I only know that we¡¯ve won!¡± The legion commander clenched his fists. ¡°We defeated the allied armies of Light. This is a war that will go down in history! In fact, we can even become legends of the Azure Continent!¡± When Skadi¡¯s legion commander finished speaking, he collapsed in satisfaction. With the border concerns resolved, he had accomplished his mission. ¡°Commander! Commander?¡± Seeing that the commander had collapsed, the soldiers around him hurried forward to support him. They did not care to ask what the Sacred Flame was. Under the city walls, the hundreds of thousands of soldiers of the allied forces of the Temple of Light turned into light among the white flames, and then dissipated completely in the air. The hellish scene was calm again, but the white Sacred Flame continued to burn as if it would burn everything in the world before stopping. A holy light enveloped the land outside the city. In the Covenant, the Sacred Flame represented holiness but it had wiped out the allied forces of the Temple of Light. Skadi¡¯s soldiers wondered how the wretched old men of the Covenant would react when they found out about this, but they guessed that they would never be able to smile again! At that moment, the white Sacred Flame slowly began to dissipate, revealing a portion of the ruins at the foot of the city walls. The soldiers on the walls looked at the land below, and for a moment, they could not recall what it had been like before. And the allied forces of Light, which had come to the city with a terrifying might and a world-destroying force not so long ago, had all turned into light and no longer existed in the world. It was a terrifying power, killing without a trace. It had only been a moment. The soldiers of Skadi standing on the walls shuddered at the sight, even though they were now the victors. They were shaken by the sheer power of such a mage who killed without a trace. They felt vaguely apprehensive. Against a mage who was far stronger than they were, anyone would be wary. No one in the world was an exception. When the endless light dissipated, there was no longer a single soldier or mage of the allied forces of Light below the walls. It was as if they had never been to Skadi. To the Skadi soldiers, such a scene was as unbelievable as the end of the world! There was silence above the walls for a long time before an abrupt voice sounded. ¡°We¡ªthis is a victory?¡± They, who had been on the verge of death, had actually won? They had thought that they would die in this war today, but they actually survived! No, that wasn¡¯t right. They hadn¡¯t won. The victory was obtained by the dimensional expert summoned by Royal Teacher Klent! This was a miracle! This ordinary-looking young man had actually defeated five of the Temple of Light¡¯s Great Archmages. These were the legendary Great Archmages with terrifying power that no one could defeat! Not to mention that this was not just one, but five! The Temple of Light¡¯s allied legions had swept through the small countries in the east of the Azure Continent. To them, it was as easy as pie. And although the allied army was very powerful, the support of the five Great Archmages was instrumental in subjugating these small countries. Which one of these countries in the eastern part of the Azure Continent did not feel fear when they heard the name ¡®Allied Army of the Temple of Light¡¯? No country targeted by them could escape the fate of destruction. Across the entire Azure Continent, no country could match their legions. But it was different now. The Allied Army of the Temple of Light had been defeated by this young man. Like a miracle, the young man had single-handedly crushed the entire allied legions, leaving them with no chance of resistance. Everyone on the city walls was in shock before taking a while to recover. ¡°We have won?¡± said a faint voice. The frozen time seemed to have begun to recover from this moment. ¡°We have won!¡± a knight next to him declared. ¡°Aaargh-we¡¯ve won!¡± This was followed by an uproar. ¡®We won in the end. We have safeguarded our kingdom!¡¯ For a moment, the crowd was in an uproar. All the emotions broke out, and the walls were filled with the sound of victory. It was as if the entire earth was shaking, and the joy of surviving the disaster made all the soldiers burst into enthusiastic activity. Some of them suddenly hugged their comrades beside them and cried out. Others laughed wildly. It was the aftermath of great sorrow and joy. At this moment, with Princess Celia at the center, the people around Mo Fan looked at him with admiration. In their hearts, he was no longer an ordinary young man, but a god. He was the savior of the entire Skadi kingdom in times of danger. In the eyes of these people, Mo Fan was like a golden light around them, a supreme being. Celia watched as Mo Fan slowly descended. A breeze blew past the corner of Mo Fan¡¯s clothes. In Celia¡¯s eyes, Mo Fan seemed to have holy light enveloping his head at this moment, giving him an extraordinary aura. He was indeed a powerhouse from another world. Even when he landed, he seemed exceptionally extraordinary. He was so powerful at this moment, like a true god of magic whose light illuminated the entire earth. This young man was really a powerhouse from another world. He could fight against five Great Archmages alone and leave them defenseless. He was the strongest being in the Azure Continent! But he really fought alone and saved the entire Skadi, her country. Celia¡¯s breathing suddenly quickened. She looked at Mo Fan with passion in her eyes, and there were tears shimmering in them. Celia felt as if she was enveloped in divine light at that moment, and this brilliant holy light had been brought about by this young man. He had brought about a miraculous victory. The joy of having been saved from certain death made her feel so emotional that she forgot herself and wanted to run to Mo Fan to thank him for saving the Skadi Kingdom in the nick of time. Chapter 21 - Visitor from Another World, God of Magic Chapter 21 Visitor from Another World, God of Magic The Royal Court¡¯s usual strict teachings forced her to calm down. Who is he? What was the magic he cast that was as powerful as a god¡¯s? Could he be the Saint Mage? Princess Celia slowly came back to her senses. She reluctantly turned her gaze to her teacher, but she could not hide her excitement. ¡°Teacher, what kind of magic is this? It¡¯s so powerful. I¡¯ve never heard of it. I¡¯ve never seen a forbidden spell with such terrifying power in the ancient books in the capital¡¯s Treasure Pavilion.¡± Klent had collapsed in exhaustion like a lamp running out of fuel. He was an old man at the end of his life. The knight beside him reacted quickly to help him up. He was barely able to keep Klent from collapsing. Celia moved forward quickly too. Her beautiful, tearful eyes looked at Klent. ¡°What¡¯s wrong, Teacher?¡± she asked in a choked voice. The teacher was like a pillar behind her. Now, as she watched him fall, Celia felt as if she had lost a strong pillar. She looked at Klent in a panic. He looked like a real old man now. He looked exhausted and lifeless. It seemed that all of Klent¡¯s magic had dissipated. He was no longer a mage. Before Mo Fan had arrived, Klent had struggled to hold up the protective barrier. Later, in order to make a final resistance, he had used all his magic to activate the ancient forbidden spell, Dimension Summoning. By the time the summoning succeeded, he was already at the end of the crossbow and had relied on his last breath to hold on. Now that he saw Mo Fan cast the powerful forbidden spell and successfully save Skadi, he relaxed completely. He looked at the weeping princess and comforted Celia weakly and firmly, ¡°Your Highness, I¡¯m fine. I¡¯ve just exhausted my magical powers! I¡¯ve traveled the Azure Continent for half my life, but I¡¯ve never seen such divine magic. But the white flame¡ª¡± Klent paused, a look of sublime respect and admiration in his eyes. ¡°The white flame is the legendary dark flame from heaven¡¯s punishment. That¡¯s the punishment fire that only a god can send.¡± Princess Celia asked again, ¡°Then-isn¡¯t it a black flame? Why is it white?¡± Klent suddenly smiled weakly. Princess Cella saw it and looked at Klent with some confusion, wondering why her teacher was suddenly smiling. ¡°It was heaven,¡± Klent continued. ¡°God¡¯s flame. God was always pure and unblemished. Even the fire of punishment was white. Legend has it that the white flame is a Sacred Flame used by the Church¡¯s gods to punish heretics.¡± Celia gasped. ¡°But¡ªthese white flames-¡° These white flames were burning the allied forces of the Temple of Light. Weren¡¯t they members of the Church? These inextinguishable holy flames devoured the entire allied army of the Temple of Light, turning them into streams of light in the flames that ceased to exist. This young man with the flames of a god is definitely not ordinary. Then he must be a Saint Mage. Only a Saint Mage is the closest to a god. Only a Saint Mage can destroy five Great Archmages.¡± Celia could not hide her excitement. It was a Saint Mage who had saved her country! It was as if there was a barrier between a Saint Mage and a Great Archmage. One simply could not compare the two of them. Based on this young man¡¯s magic today, a hundred Great Mages could not shake up a Saint Mage. ¡°Skadi can be saved. Even if the Temple comes again, we won¡¯t be afraid.¡± Celia¡¯s eyes were determined. She had to get the mage back to the capital, even if she had to pay a fortune to keep him there. Seeing this, Klent wanted to scream that this was no Saint Mage. He wanted to tell Celia that even a Saint Mage was only close to being a god, but the power and scope of the magic this young man was using was not something a Saint Mage could do. Klent thought back to his travels through the Azure Continent as a young man. He had come across a secret codex of the Church. It had recorded that the God of Light had delivered a punishment, and that white flames had descended upon the earth. It was both destruction and rebirth. Based on today¡¯s circumstances, it seemed, only a god¡¯s own divine punishment could have such power. This young man had to be more than a Saint Mage. It was impossible for a Saint Mage to control holy flames. Only a god could truly master holy flames and unleash them to the limit. Those Saint Mages were already impressive if they could summon a trace of white holy flame alone. However, they could not do anything more than that. Klent was exhausted. He couldn¡¯t form a complete sentence. He could feel the magic draining from his body. He would probably be a mortal from now on. Dizziness swept over him. He couldn¡¯t make out what was ahead of him. His surroundings appeared blurry and he couldn¡¯t hold on any longer. It was as if he was going to pass out in the next moment. But there was a force of will power holding him together, holding on to the only shred of clarity. At this moment, Klent was beside himself with excitement. Even when he had gone through so much to become the Great Archmage, he had never been as excited as he was now. He wanted nothing more than to stand up and howl to the heavens 300 times to announce to the world who this young man really was. This was the descent of a true god. This was definitely the descent of a true god! The miracle of the Azure Continent had been born in the land of Skadi. It was he who had summoned the True God. In short, there was also a part of his power in this miracle. It was definitely the supreme honor of a mage to summon the God of Magic in person. In the history of the Azure Continent, which mage could do it? Klent had managed to become the number one mage in the Azure Continent! Klent thought that he must have used all his luck in his life to summon the God of Magic himself! He had actually misjudged him. He did not recognize at first glance that this young man was the God of Magic himself! It was also possible that the magical power of the God of Magic was unfathomable and not something that mere mages like them could easily discern. ON ore At that moment, Klent wanted nothing more than to stand up and greet the God of Magic himself in the highest of manners. To see the divine glory of the God of Magic! Klent looked at Mo Fan with a burst of powerful light in his eyes. Unfortunately, in the next moment he collapsed from exhaustion. There were exclamations all around. ¡°Teacher!¡± ¡°Lord Klent!¡± ¡°Teacher!¡± ¡°Royal Teacher, Sir!¡± Chapter 22 - Setting Off for the Capital Chapter 22 Setting Off for the Capital Inside the fortress of Irwin, it was as bright as day under the Light spell. The soldiers were ready and waiting for Princess Celia¡¯s order to depart. After the battle, Irwin¡¯s protective barrier needed to be rearranged. They also needed to leave men to guard the fortress against another attack by the Allied Forces of Light. But Celia could not stop at Fort Irwin. She had to return to the capital with her unconscious teacher, Klent, so that he could be treated. She had left half her army to defend the fortress. Celia¡¯s robe flapped in the strong wind. She gave the order. ¡°Let¡¯s go!¡± Then a chant came from her. At this moment, the sky suddenly turned turbulent. There was a roar in the sky, and the hexagram lit up above Mo Fan. The space above fluctuated violently, and a huge shadow struggled in the hexagram. A violent aura stirred the air above, and a Pegasus appeared in the hexagram. The Pegasus was snow-white except for a strand of golden mane that shone in the night. Huge wings sprouted from its back. The contours of its wings were smooth and powerful, as if it could shoot straight into the clouds with a single flap. It landed beside Celia and lowered its huge head. The Pegasus was a flying beast with a gentle personality. It didn¡¯t need a high-level mage to ride it. Even a low-level mage could ride it easily. But it wasn¡¯t easy for an ordinary mage to get a Pegasus. A snow-white purebred Pegasus like Celia¡¯s was even rarer. Celia¡¯s Pegasus was a congratulatory gift from the Royal Skadi Tamer. Such a beautiful Pegasus was rare in the entire Azure Continent. The Pegasus was like a small mountain. Celia, the girl, stood next to it, looking especially small. Mo Fan looked at the Pegasus, who stayed beside Celia, as obedient as a kitten. It didn¡¯t have the violent aura it had when it appeared. Mo Fan¡¯s mount in the game was more special. It was called Cerberus. In layman¡¯s terms, it was a three-headed hound from the underworld. It was ugly, but it was powerful. Ordinary people didn¡¯t dare approach it. Celia looked at Mo Fan and said, ¡°Sir Mage, if you don¡¯t mind, please ride on the same mount as me.¡± Mo Fan had no objection at all, and nodded very calmly. Celia and Mo Fan stood side by side in front of the Pegasus¡¯ huge wings, and Celia stroked its long white fur. As if on command, the Pegasus¡¯ four powerful hooves sprang into action, and its muscular body galloped forward. At the same time, the knights moved their mounts in unison, keeping close to Princess Celia. The legion followed behind, heading northeast in an impressive display of power. The strong wind rose, scattering the earth which was trodden upon. The army marched through the night in a grand manner like the sound of thunder. wa The first glimmer of light appeared in the east. Golden sunlight and a light breeze greeted Mo Fan and Celia. The Skadi Legion was marching fast. They had long since left the fortress of Irwin behind. Now they were in the northeast of the Skadi Kingdom, in a range of hills called Sextus. The high, rolling hills stretched so far that one could not see the end. In the northeast, there was a long mountain range. The mountain range seemed to rise into the clouds, as if it wanted to isolate the entire continent. Mo Fan found it strange at first. Celia had told him that this mountain range that stretched for tens of thousands of kilometers was called Vindobona. On the other side of the mountain range was the mysterious Magical Beast Forest! Mo Fan¡¯s eyes lit up. The name told him that the forest of magical beasts was the den of magical beasts. He turned to look at Celia. The girl¡¯s curly blond hair was a little messy under her jeweled crown. When she looked at him, her eyes were as lively as those of a forest deer. Mo Fan focused on the pointy ears that were barely visible through the curls. His eyes shifted and met the little princess¡¯s green eyes. He smiled and said to her, ¡°The little princess is like an elf in the forest.¡± Mo Fan wasn¡¯t talking about the little elves with tiny wings that lived in the trees in the forest. He was talking about night elves. Night elves had slightly longer pointed ears and carried bows. They were blond, blue-eyed, tall, and similar to humans, but they were beautiful and far better looking than humans. Celia and Mo Fan looked at each other and the blush on her face deepened. She said to him seriously, ¡°The Skadi royal family has elven bloodline, so my ears are pointed and my eyes are green. Some of my ancestors even grew elf wings. But in my generation, the elven bloodline is too ancient. My eyes aren¡¯t the purest green.¡± Mo Fan suddenly asked, ¡°Are there still elves in this world?¡± Celia said, ¡°Of course.¡± She continued, ¡°There are not only elves in this world. There are goblins, magical beasts, dwarfs¡¡± Look at the mountain range I was telling you about, Sir Mage.¡± Princess Celia reached out and pointed to the northeast. It was the mountain range that stretched for tens of thousands of kilometers between the low hills. The mountain range was very high, and its summit was white as snow. Halfway up the mountain, however, there were large patches of thick greenery. At first glance, they looked like two different worlds. ¡°On this side of the Vindobona and the mountains is the territory of the Skadi Kingdom. On the other side is the world of the beasts. On that side is a vast forest called the Magical Beast Forest.¡± The mage nodded. Celia had mentioned it briefly. ¡°And the Elven people have lived in the southern part of the Beast Forest since ancient times.¡± Celia explained the environment and geography of this world to Mo Fan one by one. Mo Fan looked at the mountain range in the distance. Since there are also magical beasts and elves in this world, this is probably not far from the game world. Mo Fan was sure that the setting of this world was definitely similar to the setting in the game. Even if there was a difference, it was definitely not much different. Celia continued to introduce the places to Mo Fan. ¡°There are dozens of small countries scattered across the Azure Continent. Most of these small countries are inhabited by humans. There are some mixed-race humans in this world, but most of them live in countries close to the Magical Beast Forest. Magical beasts live in the Magical Beast Mountains. Elves live in the forests to the south. They all have their own territories and don¡¯t invade each other. But sometimes there are riots in the Magical Beast Forest. The magical beasts will attack the human cities.¡± Chapter 23 - Magical Beast Forest Chapter 23 Magical Beast Forest ¡°Every time there¡¯s a magical beast revolt, Skadi doesn¡¯t ignore it. It organizes mages to hunt down the magical beasts that invade Skadi.¡± Celia¡¯s eyes darkened at the thought. After this battle, her teacher could no longer use his magic. Skadi¡¯s powers were greatly diminished. When the next wave of magical beasts came, Skadi¡¯s mages might not be able to resist. She hated that she was only a level four mage and not strong enough to protect Skadi. Celia sighed softly, a frown creasing her brow as her worries returned. But she didn¡¯t stop. She continued to explain to Mo Fan. ¡°Ordinary mages dare not go near the Magical Beast Forest. There¡¯s not a human on the other side of the mountains. But the Magical Beast Forest is like a treasure trove that many mages flock to. Many mages will go to the Magical Beast Forest together to hunt and kill magical beasts to obtain magic gems and treasures.¡± So, there were still many mages who ventured into the Magical Beast Forest. When Mo Fan heard this, he looked at the towering Vindobona Mountains in the distance, surrounded by fog. He was a little taken aback. Isn¡¯t this the same as attacking the Boss in the game? Mo Fan said, ¡°Didn¡¯t you say that the Magical Beast Forest is very dangerous? During the magical beast tide, the magical beasts cause a riot. To ordinary mages, going into the forest is no different from courting death!¡± Celia nodded. ¡°Magical beasts riot. It¡¯s dangerous, but some high-level beasts come out from the depths of the forest. Usually, these high-level beasts are deep in the forest. If they want to hunt high-level magical beasts, they have to take advantage of the magical beast tide.¡± This time, Mo Fan nodded in agreement. In the game, the treasures dropped by the Big Boss would be of a higher level than those dropped by an ordinary Boss. It seemed that hunting magical beasts in this world was the same. The higher the level of the magical beast, the higher the value of the treasures and magic gems they could obtain. This was why mages were willing to take risks. ¡°The mages in the eastern part of the Azure Continent have a Guild of Mages. The mages will unite through the Guild of Mages and form a group to hunt magical beasts together.¡± Mo Fan gasped inwardly. Isn¡¯t this like a gaming guild in the game? In the game, if you wanted to level up and obtain treasures, you had to do missions and fight the Boss. But it was impossible for low-level players to defeat a high-level Boss alone. They had to team up with other players and besiege the Boss to win. After all, there was strength in numbers. ¡°Some magical beasts are worth a lot of money. For example, there¡¯s a magical beast called the Icefield Demon Wolf in the high mountain ice plains of the Magical Beast Forest near the Ventobona Mountains. Their magic cores have a good chance of creating magic gems.¡± Celia looked wistful. She might be a princess of a kingdom, the heir to the throne, and there were few things she couldn¡¯t get her hands on. But she was also a mage, albeit a low-level one. She hoped that one day she would be able to hunt magical beasts with her magic. She was fired up at such a thought. When Mo Fan heard the words ¡®Icefield Demon Wolf¡¯, his eyes lit up. He smiled and sighed. ¡°Icefield Demon Wolf!¡± There were also Icefield Demon Wolves in the game. He had previously unlocked the wind magic in the game and used it on the Icefield Demon Wolves for the first time. These guys were extremely fast and moved in groups. Ordinary players couldn¡¯t even catch up, let alone defeat these Icefield Demon Wolves. Back then, Mo Fan had relied on his own strength to slaughter a group of Icefield Demon Wolves and upgrade to the highest forbidden spell of wind magic-Wings of the Wind. He had become famous in the game. It was at that time that the title of Archmage was gradually conferred on him by the players. Celia heard Mo Fan sigh and asked curiously, ¡°Does the Archmage know about it too?¡± Could there be Icefield Demon Wolves in the Archmage¡¯s world? Mo Fan nodded and said indifferently, ¡°Back then, I practiced wind magic and hunted a group of Icefield Demon Wolves. Later, I used the fur of these Icefield Demon Wolves to make a crystal armor.¡± That armor was originally a casual creation, but it seemed to have been given to a girl. Celia gasped at Mo Fan¡¯s nonchalance. She was obviously shocked by what he had said. The Icefield Demon Wolf! This was a level six demon beast. She was only a level four mage. If she faced an Icefield Demon Wolf alone, she would not be able to escape its claws without the protection of a magical holy artifact. But this mage had actually hunted a group of Icefield Demon Wolves alone. She thought about how the Archmage had been able to destroy the entire allied army of Light and kill four Great Archmages by himself. What was a mere level six magical beast? The princess¡¯s knights were responsible for Celia¡¯s safety. Their mounts were not far from the princess, and their hearing was good. They naturally heard Mo Fan¡¯s calm words. The expressions of the knights mirrored those of the princess. Their expressions slowly returned to normal from the initial shock. Compared to what Mo Fan had done during the defense of the fortress of Irwin, the destruction of the Icefield Demon Wolf pack was clearly a small matter. But to the mages of this world, even a level six mage would have no choice but to flee for his life when he was up against a level six Icefield Demon Wolf. Mo Fan¡¯s eyes moved. When he had the chance, he would definitely make a trip to the High Mountain Icefield that Celia had mentioned. When he caught a group of Icefield Demon Wolves, he would definitely be able to obtain magic gems. At that time, he would kill them one by one. Perhaps he could accumulate enough magic gems to upgrade the 12 Movements of Dawn. Mo Fan couldn¡¯t help but raise his eyebrows. He felt that his plan was very feasible. I just don¡¯t know if I am able to chant the Wing of the Wind Magic on my own, Mo Fan thought. He still had to train to level up his magic. Mo Fan firmly believed that his magical powers would only become more proficient through practice. He looked at Celia and asked, ¡°Most mages don¡¯t dare go into the Magical Beast Forest, but surely some of them have been there?¡± Celia said, ¡°Yes, but not even the Great Archmages would dare venture into the depths of the Magical Beast Forest alone.¡± Mo Fan nodded and muttered to himself, ¡°So I can¡¯t just casually barge into the depths of the Magical Beast Forest. Do I still have to wait for the Magical Beast tide?¡± Mo Fan¡¯s voice was so soft that Celia only saw his lips move. She didn¡¯t hear what he said. She saw that the Archmage was interested in the Magical Beast Forest, so she continued to tell him, ¡°Our Skadi Kingdom is very close to the Magical Beast Forest. Every magical beast tide is a nuisance. In particular, there are huge dragons called Anius in the Magical Beast Forest near the Ventobona Mountains. Their habitat forest is very close to the Skadi Kingdom border.¡± Chapter 24 - Swear to Die with the Country Chapter 24 Swear to Die with the Country ¡°The Anius dragon is an ancient magical beast. The highest level Anius dragon can kill an eighth-level mage with one swipe of its claws. And the Anius dragon is divided into elements. Even with elemental suppression of magic, a ninth-level archmage might not be able to defeat the highest-level Anius dragon.¡± Celia remembered with concern that it had always been her teacher who suppressed the Anius dragon with magic. Now that her teacher¡¯s magic had completely dissipated, he was no longer a mage. Then who could stop the Anius dragon with the horde of magical beasts? At this moment, Mo Fan suddenly remembered that he had wanted to ask why the Light Alliance was attacking the little princess¡¯s country. At Fort Irwin, the little princess had been busy deploying soldiers. After the battle, there had been all kinds of problems, so he didn¡¯t want to ask then. Now was a good opportunity. Celia was not surprised to hear the Archmage¡¯s question. She answered it very seriously. ¡°Because of religion!¡± Celia was disgusted and resentful of the Temple of Light¡¯s behavior. She was still furious when she talked about it. ¡°Although the people of the Azure Continent cultivate the same magic and battle aura, the countries in the west of the continent believe in the God of Light. They are led by the Temple of Light and use battle aura as their orthodoxy! As for the eastern part of the continent, a group of countries led by my Skadi Kingdom, believe in all kinds of gods because we are close to the Magical Beast Mountain and have mixed heritage. Most of us cultivate magic! Skadi, my country, has always believed in the gods of magic, nature, and the elements, because of the mix of faerie blood in our ancestry! The Temple of Light¡¯s dream has always been to spread the light of God across the continent. Of course, it can¡¯t tolerate that half the continent is infidel, so the so-called Eastern Expedition happens almost every few years. Those people from the Temple of Light have committed many evil deeds for the sake of so-called preaching. The citizens of these small countries in the east can¡¯t stand it. Every time they come, their vitality is greatly damaged and the people are in dire straits. The Temple of Light¡¯s operation failed this time, but they might pull their forces together and start another Eastern Expedition!¡± At this, Celia sighed heavily again. Her angry expression slowly faded. She looked worried. If the allied forces of Light were to march east again, would she be able to protect her country without her teacher and the Archmage? At that moment, the sun¡¯s rays fell on the Skadi capital. The broad and stately national highway was deserted. It was located on the central axis of the capital, surrounded by gorgeous, grand buildings. The most gorgeous things in the city were gathered there. At the end of the highway was the imposing, dignified palace. At that moment, the palace, like the national highway, was quiet as if it was vacant. Usually, this was the busiest time in the capital. However, it was dead and lifeless today, even though it was already midday. There was even an atmosphere of panic and despair in the extreme quietness. At this moment, the city was bathed in sunlight, but a shadow hanged over the city. The small south-east gate of the capital was normally deserted. It was not the main way out of the city. At this moment, however, there were a lot of people coming and going with their families, pushing wheelbarrows, and dragging their belongings. They had a glum, hopeless look on their faces. They looked back at the city wistfully as they pushed their way out with all their might. Among them were grand carriages, frantically pushing their way out of the city. Ever since the news that the five Great Archmages had led the Light Alliance to attack Fort Irwin reached the capital, the people in the capital had fallen into despair. No country could escape the siege of the five Great Archmages, especially this time. The Light Alliance was determined to subdue the small eastern countries in the entire Azure Continent. Even if Skadi was the strongest in the eastern countries, how could the Little Princess resist the five Great Archmages? How could she protect Skadi and save their weak people? They heard that the Malkians had been destroyed by the compound spell of the five Great Archmages because they resisted the Light Alliance. From now on, there was no Malkian left in the Azure Continent! Outside the city, large clouds of dust rose on the highway as desperate people hurried along, holding hands, and dragging their belongings behind them. A mournful old tune filled the air. It was an ancient folk tune that Skadi had passed down for thousands of years, a sorrowful song of homesickness. Now the song sounded again and again, slowly spreading through the city. It cast a shadow over the fleeing people. Meanwhile, in a grand and gorgeous mansion near the central axis of the city, a young child looked helplessly at his calm, tearful grandfather. A panicked young voice sounded in the gorgeous hall. ¡°Grandpa, Grandpa, what¡¯s wrong? Why are you crying?¡± The young voice slowly became tearful. The old man was dressed in a large black robe. The dark part of the robe was embroidered with golden magic patterns, and golden light flashed inadvertently. The old man forced a smile and comforted the little child beside him. ¡°I just heard a song about homesickness. I was just emotional for a moment. Grandpa is fine.¡± The young child did not stop worrying when he heard the old man¡¯s words. The uneasiness in his eyes increased. Children were the most sensitive. At this moment, he sensed the desperation in his grandfather. There was unease in the air. He could hear the faint folk song in the distance which made him very troubled. On the massive city walls, which were made of solid boulders, armored soldiers were on guard. Each of them held a sharp sword in his hand, and his expression was solemn and resolute. As they listened to the old music in the distance, they could not help but feel a tinge of despair even though they looked tough. They knew that this post could only mean death for them! A knight stood at the front of the walls. With a determined expression, he shouted at the soldiers, ¡°We are soldiers guarding the country. We swear to live and die with the country!¡± With the ancient song of grief in the background, the soldiers faced death with grim determination. ¡°We swear to live and die with our country!¡± As their determined voices echoed through the imposing walls, they knew they could only swear to die with their country under the siege of the five Archmages. Chapter 25 - The Kings Army Returned in Triumph Chapter 25 The King¡¯s Army Returned in Triumph Night fell. The full moon in the sky was shrouded in dark clouds, and there was no light at all. It was the 15th of October, and it had been three days since the news of the border fortress arrived. The five Great Archmages had led the Light Alliance to besiege the Irwin frontier. Since then, there had been no further news from the frontier. However, everyone in the capital knew that the Irwin frontier was doomed. At this moment, the frontier might have been breached. The allied forces might attack Skadi¡¯s capital next. ¡°Captain, last year the mages in the city used a light spell to light up the entire city all night!¡± Up on the walls, after a long day of deathly silence, a young voice spoke in the dim light. The captain of the guards was dressed in battle armor, his sword in his hand. His eyes were blue-black and calm, but if you looked closely, you would see that he was numb. His nerves were numb to the death that was coming By now, all the soldiers on the walls had the same look on their faces. It was as if they had accepted that the Skadi kingdom was doomed. The young general who spoke was a young man who had just joined the City Guards this year. Last year, he was still a happy young man, chasing the Divine Light all night with the girl he loved on this day of prayer. At this moment, he could vaguely hear the girl¡¯s laughter in his head. After a moment of silence, the guard captain said hoarsely, ¡°Today is a day of prayer!¡± All the soldiers glanced behind them as if they sensed something. The capital city had blended with the night which had a heavy air of oppression. In Skadi, the Great Royal Prayer Day was held on the fifteenth of October each year. The capital city was always the liveliest. Even at night, it was brightly lit. The king would also ask the mages to cast a spell of light from the highest point of the capital city, so that the entire city would be bathed in the brilliance of magic. Even the poorest families would stop their work on this day and bring their families out to bathe in the brilliance of magic. It was the fifteenth of October of another year, but the capital was as silent as an empty city. The guards and mages of the palace had followed Princess Celia to the frontier to fight against the allied forces of the Light. The usually bustling and solemn palace was now completely empty. There were no mages to summon the Holy Light. There was only endless darkness. The shadow of imminent disaster hanged over everyone. Will Skadi enter the darkness and never see the light? There were only a few lights in the entire capital city. The shadows of the lights danced on the stone walls. The soldiers were expressionless again. They looked ahead and stood numbly on the last watch. Princess Celia and her party walked at night and galloped by day, and finally arrived at the capital city at dawn. The troops journeyed tirelessly through the dust and took advantage of the first rays of sunlight appearing on the horizon. The knight¡¯s guard said excitedly, ¡°Princess, we¡¯ve arrived at the capital!¡± ¡°We¡¯ve arrived at the capital!¡± Mo Fan looked up and saw a line of towering walls in the distance. The black walls were like a solid barrier, protecting the ancient capital. On the walls, a magic barrier was instantly activated, and a powerful magical aura descended on them in the blink of an eye. As soon as the soldiers on the walls of the capital city realized that a legion was approaching, kicking up clouds of smoke and dust, they activated the magical protective barrier of the capital city. Even though the soldiers knew that they would be facing death in the end, they were determined to defend the city until the last moment. At that moment, there was silence above the walls. Deathly silence. Everyone¡¯s gaze was fixed on the legion that had appeared in the distant horizon. They gripped their heavy swords. Only at the moment of death did they realize that their minds were blank. The knights watched as the golden magical barrier rose. The soldiers stood ready on the walls, their faces grim. The leader of the knights raised his right hand and gestured behind him. A young knight at the back immediately took out a golden banner. The banner flew high, fluttering in the wind, and the golden totem shone in the sun. The eagle-lion on the totem danced in the air with the wind, as if it was alive. The sharp eyes of the eagle-lion looked straight ahead, emitting an extraordinary aura. On the city walls, the soldiers, who had made up their minds to live and die with the capital city and not retreat, thought that they were mistaken when they saw the golden banner raised to the sky. As soon as the golden eagle-lion banner appeared, it attracted the attention of everyone on the city walls. They were in a desperate situation, at death¡¯s door. Now they held their breath and stared at the banner without blinking. It was as if the golden eagle-lion banner would disappear if they breathed. The legion approached slowly, and the golden banner came into full view of the soldiers on the wall. The young captain on the wall stared at the banner waving in the wind in the distance, the golden eagle-lion against the backdrop of the glorious sun in the sky. He stared hard at the banner, his eyes red-rimmed. Tears fell from his eyes as a strong wind blew, but he did not even blink. ¡°That¡¯s our banner!¡± ¡°Princess Celia is back!¡± Faint voices sounded one after another. The soldiers on the walls seemed to be spellbound. The golden eagle-lion banner came closer and closer, so close that the soldiers on the walls could see the burning eyes of the eagle-lion on the banner. At this moment, waves of voices erupted from the city walls. ¡°Our banner!¡± ¡°That¡¯s our banner!¡± ¡°It¡¯s the eagle-lion banner. The princess is back.¡± The golden eagle-lion banner was Skadi¡¯s banner. Every time a great army triumphed, soldiers raised the golden eagle-lion banner to signal Skadi¡¯s victory. In addition to Skadi¡¯s grand ceremony, every time the army returned in triumph, it was bound to raise this banner in front of the army as a sign of victory. In front of the towering city walls, the homecoming army raised the golden banner in front of the formation. That meant that the defense of the fortress of Irwin had been successful. This army had returned in triumph! The soldiers on the city walls saw the golden eagle-lion banner. After a moment of excitement, they fell into shock. They looked at the banner for a moment. ¡°But-it was the Light allied forces led by five Great Archmages who besieged Fort Irwin. How could the Princess and the Royal Teacher possibly defeat them?¡± ¡°Is this¡ªreally our triumphant army?¡± Above the walls, everyone fell into dead silence again. Chapter 26 - Thank You Chapter 26 Thank You ¡°That¡¯s the princess. The princess is back!¡± a hoarse voice called from the walls. The voice seemed to infuse life into the dead walls. All the numb soldiers came to their senses at the words. They looked down the wall. Dust clouds gathered in the distance, but the leader was indeed their noble princess. The defending soldiers scrambled to the top of the city walls, craning their heads to see if the real princess had returned in triumph. At this moment, the icy atmosphere seemed to have thawed instantly. The voices began to come alive, and the soldiers were no longer lifeless like stone blocks by the roadside. Mo Fan followed the princess Celia and approached the ancient city walls. He could hear excited voices in the distance. The voices were full of hope and fear. He looked up and saw heads poking out from the grooves of the wall. They wore dark helmets and were looking hard. All their faces were filled with anxiety. Suddenly, Mo Fan heard another excited voice. ¡°That¡¯s Princess Celia. The princess is really back!¡± ¡°Quick! Open the gates.¡± ¡°Remove the magical barrier as well.¡± Amidst the clamor, the magical barrier above the walls disappeared, and the gates opened quickly. In the distance, they could see a group of people running out of the gates of the Magical Apothecarist. They stood at the foot of the gates, looking forward to the long awaited army that had returned in triumph. There were still a number of soldiers standing motionless on the walls. They didn¡¯t seem to have recovered from the shock. They were just rooted to the ground. Their eyes were blank and they were still muttering to themselves. ¡°We¡¯ve won?¡± ¡°Did a miracle happen?¡± The knight escorts stopped at the city gate. Princess Celia had long since changed out of her black robe. She was now dressed in a white robe with exquisite embroidery. The end of the robe was embroidered with large swaths of roses that symbolized the Skadi royal family. The soldiers at the city gate immediately knelt on one knee. Everyone lowered their heads excitedly. ¡°Your Highness¡ª¡±. None of the soldiers had ever been this close to the princess, but it wasn¡¯t that they were excited for this reason. Since they had seen the Princess return, it meant that they had actually succeeded in defending the Selwyn Borders. The Skadi Kingdom wouldn¡¯t be destroyed by the Temple of Light either. They¡¯d won a great victory in a war where victory was impossible. How could that not excite those soldiers defending the city? Everyone¡¯s eyes were red with excitement. Some of them were even crying. Celia glanced into the city. The capital, which should have been lively, was as quiet as a dead city. ¡°Today is Prayer Day,¡± Celia said. ¡°In the past, the night before Prayer Day should have been brightly lit. Last night¡ How was it? The leader of the guards bowed his head. He shook his head at Celia¡¯s words before replying in a hoarse whisper. ¡°Your Highness, it has been days since the capital received word of Selwyn¡¯s borders. The city is in chaos. There was no prayer last night!¡± Hearing this, Celia waved behind her. The Knight Commander immediately stepped forward, holding a sword in his hand. He knelt down on one knee before Celia and asked respectfully, ¡°Your Highness, please instruct me.¡± ¡°Raise the royal banner in the air and tell the subjects of the capital that we have won! Today, the royal family has returned victorious!¡± ¡°Yes!¡± The Knight Commander led the two knights up to the city walls. A moment later, there was a flicker of light at the top of the wall, and it was particularly bright in the faint light of dawn. The array spun out of the wall, and the light of a hexagram illuminated the entire wall. Mo Fan could clearly see the magic patterns in the array. It was not a powerful spell, just a light spell. As a low-level spell, the light spell was usually used to expel dark creatures, but most of the time, mages used it to illuminate. However, this light spell did not seem to be a traditional light spell! The hexagram rose into the air. The runes rippled and expanded, covering the entire city walls in moments. The golden banner with the eagle-lion symbol slowly appeared in the array of the hexagram. It wasn¡¯t very powerful, but the light spell was quite useful. Isn¡¯t this an upgraded version of a flare? Mo Fan felt that he could release a few at will. As the eagle-lion banner slowly expanded, some people in the city saw something strange. They looked up and saw the eagle-lion banner which represented victory. Everyone who saw the banner seemed to be stunned. They looked at the banner in the sky in shock and did not move for a long time. ¡°We¡¯ve won?¡± a young man at the side street muttered to himself, looking up at the eagle-lion banner. He wasn¡¯t sure if he was asking himself or someone else. More and more people appeared in the street. All of them had the same expression on their faces. There was nothing but shock. After all, everyone knew that it was as difficult for the princess to save Skadi from the five Archmages as it was to turn the world upside down. But now they saw that it was indeed the king¡¯s banner that represented victory! In the city, someone shouted, ¡°Her Highness has returned to the city! Her Highness has led the royal army back in triumph!¡± ¡°We won!¡± The voice was deafening, the reverberations shook everyone¡¯s heart. The same question was on everyone¡¯s mind at that moment-did we win? The commotion in the city was getting louder and louder. Many people reacted in shock and ran towards the city gate. When the soldiers at the city gate saw the eagle-lion flag in the sky, their eyes were filled with tears. Only now did they truly feel victorious. They had indeed won! ¡°Bang¡ª!¡± All the soldiers guarding the city suddenly shouted at Celia, ¡°Welcome back, Your Highness!¡± The army behind Celia suddenly followed suit. ¡°A triumphant return!¡± ¡°A triumphant return!¡± Celia held out her hand as the crowd shouted. Everyone fell silent for a moment. Celia said, ¡°We won! We defeated the allied forces of Light. We defended the fortress of Selwyn.¡± ¡°The kingdom of Skadi will last forever!¡± Celia¡¯s words were like music to the ears of the soldiers. In an instant, there was only one thought in everyone¡¯s mind-they had won! The scene was very grand. Even Mo Fan, who felt that he was a bystander, was infected by the deafening shout and became excited. Celia suddenly turned to look at Mo Fan. Her eyes were bright. After a while, she said to him, ¡°Thank you, Great Mage!¡± Mo Fan returned her smile. ¡°You¡¯re welcome, Your Highness.¡± Chapter 27 - I Have Chapter 27 I Have Skadi¡¯s palace was in the center of the capital. If one stood on the highest point of the palace tower, one could look down on the entire capital. Mo Fan was standing at the front of the tower. He could see the wide and stately street in front of the palace. Yesterday, they had entered the city from that main street. Celia was busy treating her teacher¡¯s illness, but she was also afraid that the allied forces of the Light would summon another army to attack Skadi. She had to deploy the military forces, and she also had to set up a new protective barrier with the mages of the kingdom. All the matters in the city fell on Celia. She was unable to attend to other things at the same time. She could not attend to Mo Fan personally, so she could only let her Knight Commander accompany him. However, Celia solemnly instructed the Knight Commander that he must treat Mo Fan with the highest courtesy and not make the archmage unhappy. Mo Fan had nothing else to do during the day. He was suddenly summoned to this world and was unfamiliar with it. Although he was quite comfortable with it, it was true that he did not know what he was going to do for a while. In the morning, when he stood at the door of the palace under the tall Roman pillars and looked quietly into the distance, he happened to see the tall tower and suddenly had an idea. He wanted to come here and take a look. He needed a quiet environment with a panoramic view. He thought carefully about his current situation and the path he would have to take in the future. On the top of the tower, the Knight Commander, Irigaray, held a heavy sword in his hand and was dressed in gorgeous light armor. He stood behind Mo Fan with a very respectful expression. He did not even dare to look at Mo Fan directly. He had personally seen Mo Fan being summoned from another dimension by the Royal Teacher, and he had also seen Mo Fan defeat the entire Light Army alone. In the Knight Commander¡¯s heart, Mo Fan was no less than the Mage God. In the morning, when he heard that the Great Archmage was coming to the Astrology Tower, he did not hesitate at all. He brought Mo Fan to the important place in the palacethe Astrology Tower. Suddenly, he heard Mo Fan speak. ¡°Did you just say, Irigaray, that this is where Klent usually practices his magic?¡± Irigaray bowed his head and replied respectfully, ¡°The astrology tower is where the Royal Teacher observes the constellations. On the night of the full moon, the Royal Teacher returns to the astrology tower to observe the changes in the stars and predict the future.¡± Mo Fan¡¯s eyes shifted. ¡°I didn¡¯t realize Klent is more than just a Great Archmage,¡± he said. ¡°He¡¯s also an astrologer!¡± When Mo Fan was going up the steps of the tower, he accidentally saw the books in the building. Most of them were books on astrology, and there were some books on the sources of magic. The murals on the walls of the astrology tower were mostly star charts. He even saw a familiar icon-the Big Dipper. SOU en Saw ¡°No,¡± Irigaray said awkwardly. ¡°The Royal Teacher is only interested in astrology. He¡¯s not really an astrologer. The Royal Teacher never once predicted the future accurately. Ah-¡± Irigaray hesitated. ¡°But the prediction before this expedition was accurate.¡± Mo Fan smiled and asked with interest, ¡°What did your Royal Teacher predict accurately this time?¡± Irigaray was silent for a moment, so silent that Mo Fan turned to look at him in confusion. Then he said, ¡°When the Royal Teacher went to Selwyn¡¯s borders, he predicted that the King¡¯s army would defeat the Allied Forces of Light this time.¡± Mo Fan nodded. ¡°That¡¯s right. Didn¡¯t we win?! Irigaray said quickly, ¡°That¡¯s because of your arrival, Great Archmage. That¡¯s why we could win this war and defeat the Allied Forces of Light.¡± Mo Fan turned back to look at the row upon row of buildings in the capital city. Indeed, it was his doing. If Klent hadn¡¯t summoned him from the game, Skadi would have been wiped out by the five Great Archmages. ¡°How is the Royal Teacher?¡± Mo Fan asked again. He didn¡¯t know the details of what had happened to Klent, but he did know that Klent had exhausted his magical power and fallen into a coma. Being depleted of magical power was almost irrevocable damage to a mage. When a mage exhausted this magical power, he would become a normal person and would never be able to conjure up magic again. He guessed that Klent could do no worse than that. Irigaray¡¯s face darkened at Mo Fan¡¯s question. The Royal Teacher had always been Skadi¡¯s anchor, holding up the young Princess Celia and the vast kingdom of Skadi. But the news was not good. After what had happened, the Royal Teacher¡¯s magical powers were exhausted and he could no longer practice magic. ¡°The Potion Master said that the Royal Teacher had exhausted his magical powers because of the Dimension Summoning Array. Later, because he tried his best to protect the fortress barrier, his magical power was depleted. The Royal Teacher is still in danger. And even if he wakes up, he¡¯ll lose his magic power and won¡¯t be able to cast any more magic.¡± Mo Fan nodded. This was what he had expected. ¡°Is there no other way?¡±. It turned out that in the game, even if one¡¯s magical power was exhausted, one could still be saved with magic potions. Every time Mo Fan¡¯s magical power was exhausted, he could still fight the Boss for another 300 rounds after consuming the magic potion. ¡°Don¡¯t you have any magic potions or anything like that here? To re-inject magic into Klent?¡± Irigaray still looked troubled. ¡°After the Potion Master looked at him, all he told us was that there was a magic potion that could give the Royal Teacher his magical power again. But¡ª¡± ¡°But what?¡± Irigaray said, ¡°But many of the things in the potion are rare treasures. Even the treasury of the Skadi palace doesn¡¯t have them.¡± Mo Fan remembered the box of magical materials in his backpack. He had painstakingly accumulated them in the game. Each time he had to attack the Boss in order to open a treasure chest. It was very hard. He had even spent a lot of money. Fortunately, they all transmigrated with him. Otherwise, if Mo Fan saw an empty backpack, he would throw up blood from anger. Mo Fan said to Ilrigaray, ¡°Tell me what materials are needed. Maybe I have them?¡± Irigaray¡¯s eyes lit up at the Archmage¡¯s words. The Archmage had come from another world, and his magic was so powerful that he might actually have them. He quickly told him the magic materials that the potion maker had mentioned. ¡°Woodflame Grass, Azure Ears, Fire Qilin Scales, Ice-Snake Molt, and most importantly, Dragon¡¯s Breath.¡± Mo Fan nodded gently and said, ¡°Other than the last one, I have everything!¡± Suddenly, a strong light exploded in Irigaray¡¯s eyes. He had been afraid to look at Mo Fan, but now he stared at him without blinking. Chapter 28 - Give It All Chapter 28 Give It All After a moment, he held his breath and asked with great difficulty, ¡°Lord Mage, you said, you have?¡± It wasn¡¯t that Irigaray had not been around and was shocked by these few magical materials, but that no mage had ever been able to possess these rare magical materials at the same time. When the physician mentioned the materials needed for the magic recovery potion, everyone instantly went from pleasant surprise to dismay. Just obtaining the scales of the Fire Qilin was an impossible task, let alone gathering all five magical materials. The Fire Qilin was a fire-attribute holy beast of magic, and there was only brief mention of it in the historical classics of magic in the Azure Continent. This made people wonder if the Fire Qilin had really existed or it was a holy beast fabricated by the bards. wa He had heard of the Woodflame Grass. It wasn¡¯t hard to find, but it was only found at the foot of Mount Austen in the western part of the Azure Continent, and the Temple of Light was located in Mount Austen. If they wanted to get the Woodflame Grass, they¡¯d be courting death at the door of those white-robed people of the Temple of Light! How could they do that? There were also the Azure Ears and the Ice-Snake Molt. One was a level five magical beast, and the other was a level seven magical beast. A high-level expedition team might not even be enough to defeat a high-level magical beast. It was obvious how rare it was to gather all of these things, but the Archmage had gathered four of them. Irigaray wondered how the Archmage had gathered these magical materials. ¡°Not all of them. I have the first four you mentioned, but I really don¡¯t have the Dragon¡¯s Breath you mentioned at the end.¡± ¡°Lord Mage¡± Irigaray looked at him excitedly. Mo Fan gave him a wary look, then quietly took a step back. -So excited? It can¡¯t be! Irigaray realized that he was too excited. He suppressed his excitement and asked, ¡°Lord Archmage, you are-it must have been especially difficult for you to collect these things!¡± Mo Fan actually wanted to say that it wasn¡¯t very difficult to collect these things. Although these weren¡¯t easily obtained, it wasn¡¯t that difficult either. These were just prizes that he obtained from doing a few missions and attacking the Boss. However, in the game, there were also things like magic potions. When doing quests and fighting the Boss, drinking a magic potion could restore magical power, heal, and increase magical bonuses. There was also a potion that belonged to the dark category that could increase magical damage for an opponent or the Boss. The most commonly used in the game was the healing potion. It was also easy to make. All you needed was rootweed, xylene flowers, and magic gems. The most common magic potion in Mo Fan¡¯s backpack was the healing potion, which showed how easy it was to obtain them. The formula for the magic recovery potion that Irigaray had mentioned was the same as the magic recovery potion in the game. It meant that the things in his backpack and the potion formulas that he knew could definitely be used here. Mo Fan put one hand on the railing of the tower, his gaze reaching toward the horizon. Since he came to this world, his game backpack had followed him. His magic was good enough, and so were his magic potions. His starting point was pretty high. Isn¡¯t it only a matter of time before I become a god? he thought. Irigaray saw the Archmage¡¯s big hand resting on the black wood-carved fence, deep in thought. Although Irigaray¡¯s thoughts were running wild at the moment, he didn¡¯t dare disturb the Archmage when he was deep in thought. It was not known how much time had passed, but the knight had made several rounds, and the Archmage¡¯s posture hadn¡¯t changed. He finally said, ¡°Lord Mage, may I¡ª¡± The Knight Commander looked troubled. Rare magical materials were the most precious things to a mage. Some mages might look very plain, but they might have incredibly precious magical materials. These things couldn¡¯t be exchanged for even a small mountain of gold coins. These things were sometimes more important to mages than their lives. For example, in their Royal Teacher¡¯s small treasure vault, every time the princess needed magical materials, the Royal Teacher was stingy with them. Irigaray thought there was a good chance he¡¯d be rejected, but he still wanted to ask. Skadi¡¯s current crisis hadn¡¯t been resolved. There were two pressing concerns, and the princess was young and alone. If the Royal Teacher could recover his magical power, Skadi could still hold out for a while. He hesitated for a moment, then asked again, ¡°Lord Mage, I wonder if¡ª¡± Before Irigaray could finish his question, Mo Fan nodded. ¡°Yes!¡± ¡°Yes! Yes?¡± Irigaray jerked his head toward Mo Fan, unable to hide the surprise in his eyes. These things were nothing to Mo Fan. Back in the game, the items from the treasure chests were much more precious than these items. Mo Fan didn¡¯t really care. Giving them away as a favor wasn¡¯t a loss. ¡°But I must tell you first. I don¡¯t have the last magic item you mentioned-Dragon¡¯s Breath. I can give you the other four.¡± Irigaray couldn¡¯t have been more excited. He wasn¡¯t usually this inexperienced. But things were too exciting for anyone to resist. ¡°The Potion Master and the Princess are in the Royal Teacher¡¯s chambers. Why don¡¯t you come with me now, Lord Archmage?¡± The capital of Skadi was built around the entire palace. The palace was sprawling, and there was a garden behind it. According to the Knight Commander, the garden also housed some small and precious magical beasts. The Royal Teacher¡¯s chamber was next to the garden. After they returned to the capital, Klent was sent back there. At this moment, in the Royal Teacher¡¯s inner chamber, Klent had been lying unconscious. The Potion Master, Edith, had used the most precious potion on him, but that had only made Klent sober for a moment. The princess, Celia, sat beside her teacher¡¯s bed. She looked at his old face and her heart ached. Tears welled up in her eyes. She turned to look at Edith, who was standing next to her. Celia couldn¡¯t help asking again, ¡°Is there really no other way?¡± The princess lowered her head and muttered to herself, ¡°I don¡¯t have any of the five materials for the Magic Potion. Obtaining one of the magic materials is an impossible task, let alone five!¡± Edith stroked the blue magic gem on her staff. She shook her head, expressionless. ¡°Even a level nine Potion Master can¡¯t think of a way to restore the Royal Teacher¡¯s magical power, except with a magic potion.¡± Celia listened, her tears falling like transparent beads, one by one. Chapter 29 - Alchemist Edith Chapter 29 Alchemist Edith Both Edith and Celia knew that the only way to restore Klent¡¯s old magic was if the Archmage descended. Only a god could do what was impossible. The Royal Teacher would end up losing his magic and becoming a mortal. When Edith saw how upset the princess was, she decided to comfort Celia. ¡°Princess,¡± she said slowly, ¡°even though the Royal Teacher has lost his magic, I will do my best to keep him alive. He is so badly injured.¡± ¡°He¡¯s lucky to be alive and well.¡± After all, the Alchemist who¡¯d been with the army at the time had looked at Klent¡¯s injuries and shook her head to show there was nothing she could do. If it hadn¡¯t been for Edith¡¯s efforts to save him, there would have been a state funeral for Klent by now. So Edith figured it was going to be hard enough to keep Klent the way he was. While it was true that a magic potion could restore Klent¡¯s magical power, getting all five ingredients of the potion recipe together was going to be a tall order. The only sound in the room was Celia¡¯s weeping. With the Kingdom in a crisis and her sick teacher lying in bed, there was a good chance that he would be reduced to an ordinary person, and the little princess would be a little mage with little talent. It seemed to Edith that the little princess was in a bit of a difficult situation. But it couldn¡¯t be helped. If she hadn¡¯t happened to be traveling around Skadi and saved Klent, the little princess might be in an even more difficult situation. The outcome now was fine. At this point, Klent, lying in bed, opened his rheumy eyes. ¡°Ahem-Your Highness¡ª¡±. Celia saw that her teacher had awakened. She quickly leaned forward and asked worriedly, ¡°Are you awake, Teacher? How do you feel now?¡± Klent might have been saved, but he was still weak and his voice was intermittent. He was deeply afraid that he wouldn¡¯t be able to catch his next breath. He nodded at Celia, then comforted her. ¡°I¡¯m fine. I¡¯ll be fine after some rest. Thank you for your concern, Your Highness.¡± He gave a weak smile and tried to comfort the tearful little princess. When Klent had finished, he turned back to Edith and said in a grateful tone, ¡°Thanks to you, I was able to keep my life. I¡¯m very grateful to you, Potion Master.¡± Edith shook her head. ¡°It was just a coincidence. It¡¯s no bother.¡± Edith wasn¡¯t Skadi¡¯s alchemist. She belonged to one of the long-established families of Azure Continent. There had been alchemists in their family for generations, and they had always enjoyed a high status in Azure Continent. And they had always lived in the very remote southern part of Azure Continent, protected by the Hundred Thousand Mountains. The Kerenth family had always adhered to the philosophy of non-involvement in the affairs of the continent. So the Kerenth family had never been caught up in the disputes of the Azure Continent. However, in order to prevent the Kerenth family from being truly isolated from the rest of the world, the family stipulated that the younger generation of disciples had to travel around the Azure Continent before they could return to the family. Moreover, every five years, the Kerenth family would hold an exchange of alchemists. Almost all the alchemists in the Azure Continent saw the Kerenth family as a role model and were proud to join the discussion hosted by the Kerenth family. The alchemists in the Azure Continent would do anything to obtain an invitation to the exchange. It was obvious how popular they were. Edith was even more of a prominent member of the Kerenth family¡¯s younger generation of alchemists. Klent knew that if it hadn¡¯t been for Edith¡¯s timely arrival this time, he¡¯d probably be dead by now. He¡¯d been seriously injured during the battle at the Selwyn border. Klent turned back to Celia. ¡°How is the Archmage?¡± he asked. Celia said, ¡°I¡¯ve invited the Archmage to the Skadi capital. Irigaray is accompanying him now.¡± Klent nodded, then instructed Celia solemnly, ¡°Your Highness, the Archmage is no ordinary man. Do not neglect him. By all means, be on good terms with the Archmage. Do you understand?¡± Klent used his hands to support half of his body. The silky blanket fell away. He stared hard at Cella, his eyes incomparably serious. Cella would listen to her teacher, of course, but she still wondered about the mage¡¯s rank. When she first saw him, he was only able to cast low-level wind-element spells. But later on, he was able to stand up to five Great Archmages and wipe out the Light Allied Forces. Celia could not see through this Archmage either. She thought of this and asked hesitantly, ¡°Teacher, could this Archmagebe a Saint Mage?¡± Klent lay back on the bed, exhausted. He shook his head and let out a long sigh. A Saint Mage can¡¯t use forbidden spells and God¡¯s magic, he thought. Even if he was near God, there was a marked division. Celia saw her teacher¡¯s mysterious expression and didn¡¯t know if he agreed with her or not. However, with her usual understanding of her teacher, this mage must be at the Saint Realm or even above. There was no Saint-Realm mage in the Azure Continent now. In history, every Saint Mage was a legend. This mage summoned by her teacher would definitely become another legend in the magic history of the Azure Continent. Edith listened, curious about the mage who¡¯d single-handedly saved the entire Skadi kingdom from the allied forces of the Light, but she¡¯d heard he was a little too young. She had the feeling there might be an element of exaggeration in what she was hearing. She only believed what she saw. On the other side, the Knight Commander was leading Mo Fan down the tower. They crossed a long cobblestone path and arrived at a wooden house. Mo Fan stood at the front of the house, looking at the plain little cottage. ¡°Is this your Royal Teacher¡¯s bedchamber?¡± he asked Irigaray. ¡°Yes, Lord Mage. Is anything wrong?¡± Mo Fan shook his head. Is this little cabin with its plain look and glass windows called a sleeping chamber? Compared to the gorgeous buildings in the game, this house was a little shabby. However, while the buildings he had seen all the way from Selwyn to the capital were not gorgeous and the palace was very majestic, they were still a little plain compared to the exquisite buildings in the game. Seeing that there was nothing wrong with the Archmage, the Knight Commander, Irigaray, could no longer hold back his excitement and rushed into the small house. ¡°The Royal Teacher can be cured. His magic can be restored¡ª¡± Irigaray disappeared through the door of the house like a gust of wind. Mo Fan looked at the swinging wooden door and shook his head in amusement. Then Irigaray¡¯s excited voice spoke again. Chapter 30 - The Thor Clan Chapter 30 The Thor Clan ¡°The Archmage said that he has the magic items in the formula for the potion. And the Archmage is willing to give them up! Our Royal Preceptor will definitely return to his former self. Perhaps his magic will be even more powerful.¡± Irigore looked excitedly at the princess Celia. ¡°Your Highness¡± ¡°Are you telling the truth?¡± The princess¡¯s clear, excited voice reached the door. Mo Fan raised his eyebrows. He could even imagine the expression on Celia¡¯s face. Another haughty female voice came from the room. She sounded incredulous. ¡°Are you telling the truth, Knight Commander? This is a recipe for a magic potion. Are you sure you heard correctly? A mage is already considered a remarkable mage if he has one of the magical materials!¡± en Edith¡¯s face was full of disbelief. She was extremely talented in potions and valued by her family since she was born. She had seen many precious magical materials and had collected many of them herself. It could even be said that the magical materials she had surpassed all the apothecaries and mages in the entire Azure Continent. She had traveled around the Azure Continent for many years and knew how difficult it was to find these five magical materials. She could not believe that anyone could gather them. Irigore saw that the Lady Apothecary did not believe him, and he retorted hurriedly, ¡°How can it not be true? The Archmage said so himself. He has the ingredients for the potion of life.¡± In his anxiety, Irigore had forgotten to mention that Mo Fan only had four magical materials and was still missing one Dragon¡¯s Breath. Celia looked past Irigore, unable to hide her anxiety. ¡°Where is the Archmage? Didn¡¯t I order you to follow him around?¡± Irigore was in a hurry to tell the Princess and the Apothecary the good news. He had rushed into the room, not paying attention to Mo Fan behind him. When Celia asked, he turned and looked behind him. ¡°The Archmage is¡ª¡± Irigore didn¡¯t see the Archmage behind him. He was about to say something when the Archmage came through the door. His face lit up with happiness and excitement. ¡°Come quickly, Archmage.¡± Edith had been keeping an eye on the door. She saw a young man enter the room with a plain black box in his hand. He strolled in, not at all affected by the anxious atmosphere in the room. He even made eye contact with her as he entered. He smiled at her, then looked away and continued walking into the room. Mo Fan had gone inside and stopped next to the others. Before they could ask, he held out his hand, holding out the box. He looked at Irigore, who instinctively reached out to take it. It was then that Edith stared at the box in Mo Fan¡¯s hand, her eyes wide with disbelief, as if she were in shock. As Irigore reached for the box, the woman with the staff barked, ¡°Don¡¯t move!¡± Mo Fan looked back. The white robe covered the woman¡¯s entire body. The woman¡¯s slender fair hand was holding a golden staff and she had round eyes. She looked like a very proud woman. However, at this moment, she was staring fiercely at Irigore¡¯s outstretched hands. Anyone who could be in this room at this moment was definitely not ordinary. Mo Fan thought of this and looked at Irigore, wanting him to introduce her. Irigore caught Mo Fan¡¯s look and quickly said, ¡°This is the Karensi family¡¯s ApothecaryLady Edith. The Royal Preceptor was rescued by Lady Edith.¡± Mo Fan nodded, indicating that he understood. Then he looked at Edith and said, ¡°Lady Apothecary, do you have any questions about this box of mine?¡± The Knight Commander was so excited that he wanted to take the box and open it, but he was stunned by the Apothecary¡¯s shout. When he heard the mage ask this, he turned around and asked Edith, ¡°Lady Apothecary?¡± The Apothecary, Edith, glared at Irigore, then withdrew her staff with a wave of her left hand. She dropped the haughty little expression from her face and stepped carefully in front of Mo Fan, her eyes fixed on the black box in his hand as if she was a ferocious beast eyeing its prey. The others in the room didn¡¯t understand, but they waited quietly for a moment to see what Edith wanted. She suddenly touched his shoulder with one hand and bowed to him. Then she looked at him. ¡°Honored Archmage, may I take a look at this box?¡± When he came in just now, he saw this girl looking at him arrogantly. Now she was looking at him with such a respectful expression. Her expression changed a little too quickly. Mo Fan was a little amused, but he held it in. He handed the box in his hand to her. ¡°You can take a look if you want. It¡¯s nothing precious.¡± It was as if she had heard something unbelievable. She looked up at him with a complicated expression. He could actually see envy and jealousy in her eyes, which made him even more confused. The box was neither heavy nor large, only slightly larger than a grown man¡¯s hand. The black wooden box had no patterns, just some ancient writing carved at the bottom. Compared to Mo Fan¡¯s robe, it was very plain. She looked at the box respectfully and pulled out a pair of white silk gloves. Mo Fan felt a ripple of magic on the gloves. He wondered if this magic that rippled was a water element. He watched as Edith put on white silk gloves with both hands and then took the box respectfully with both hands. She walked carefully toward a round table in the center of the room. There were some old books and papers on the table, but she used her elbow to sweep them to the floor. The precious ancient books and documents on the table fell to the floor with a clatter like garbage. Edith held the box as if it were some rare treasure, as if it would shatter at the slightest tilt. She even placed the box on the table with extra care. Edith¡¯s hands, which couldn¡¯t help but tremble, held the wooden box steady on the table before she carefully opened it. She even breathed a sigh of relief. Mo Fan was confused by this person¡¯s actions. What is this girl doing? Is it because the things inside are so precious that she is so careful? Mo Fan couldn¡¯t help but laugh. These things in his backpack were considered basic things. He had saved a lot of them. They really weren¡¯t worth much! Chapter 31 - Ordinary Black Box Chapter 31 Ordinary Black Box The Knight Commander and Celia knew how precious these things were, but they couldn¡¯t understand why the Apothecary was so careful. Could the ingredients in the potion formula be fragile? But the mage seemed to have taken it lightly just now, didn¡¯t he? Two pairs of hesitant eyes landed on Edith. Right now, Edith looked at the box as if it were a holy relic. She placed her hand gently on top of the box, as if she wanted to touch the black box but couldn¡¯t bring herself to do it. Mo Fan saw that she was conflicted. The expression on her pretty face was so conflicted that her beautiful face lost some of its color. He couldn¡¯t stand it anymore. He was about to press her hands down himself. She looked so awkward! Edith turned to Mo Fan, her big eyes blazing. ¡°Honored Archmage¡ªthis is¡ªthis must be the box of the Thor Clan!¡± Mo Fan nodded. When this box was obtained as a reward after he completed a mission, the system had said that this box was one of the few magic items passed down by Thor. At that time, he had completed the mission in a rush. He saw this thing as a random gift and had never taken it out. When he was outside, he took the four magical items out of his backpack. There was nothing to put them in. He thought that he couldn¡¯t hold them in his hand, so he found a box. From the woman¡¯s reaction, it seemed that this box was an extraordinary item! Princess Celia, who was standing at the side, suddenly said, ¡°The Thor race, is it¡ªthe Thor race that has disappeared?¡± Edith was a little too agitated now. She said quickly, ¡°Of course, Princess. Look at the writing at the bottom of the box. It¡¯s the most ancient writing of the Thor people. Currently, some of the recipes for the most precious magic potions passed down are recorded in this type of writing.¡± She carefully lifted the box so that everyone could clearly see the words at the bottom. The princess seemed to remember vaguely. She nodded at Edith. ¡°I think Teacher showed me a text like that.¡± The Knight Commander Irigore had never seen it before. He had a hereditary knighthood, and his family was considered one of the oldest in the Skadi kingdom. He had always studied about knights but had little knowledge of potion formulas. However, he knew that the Thor Clan was the source of the physician branch of magic. It was understandable that the Apothecary was so excited to see the heirloom of the Thor Clan. The history of magic on Azure Continent was tens of thousands of years old. Many magical races had been born in these tens of thousands of years, and there were also magical races that had disappeared in this long history. The Thor race was one of them. The apothecary specialized in healing and generally learned healing magic. The entry barrier for an apothecary who specialized in healing was usually very low. Even if one could only preliminarily sense magical elements, one could still learn healing magic. As long as one practiced diligently, one could treat ordinary injuries. However, for a mage who specialized in healing, it was very difficult to reach the level of an advanced-level mage. It was even more difficult than becoming an attack-type or a defense-type mage because of a low ability for sensing magical elements and poor congenital conditions. Therefore, while there were many apothecaries, very few of them were proficient at healing magic. There were a few legendary apothecaries in the history of Azure. Legend had it that a legendary apothecary had saved a holy knight from the siege of several archmages. This legend was recorded in the history of Azure and was the lifelong goal of many apothecaries. However, many mages who had read this history felt that there was a high chance that this was fabricated by later generations. Many of them matched the historical facts. A holy knight with an apothecary could barely fight two archmages. How could he turn the tables against a few archmages? Edith, on the other hand, was convinced of this history. The legendary apothecary was the most brilliant physician in the Thor race. He had started a great era of apothecary. But because the legendary apothecary died at a young age, and the Thor race was plagued with internal and external problems, the mages who supported them fell, and their race was wiped out in an instant. After the battle at Fullmosa, the Thor people, who had lived in the Fullmosa Plains, were destroyed. There were no more Thor people in the world. However, most of the magic classics of the Thor people had been passed down. Now, the introductory books of apothecary were all books of magic passed down from the Thor people. The Thor people were equivalent to the ancestors of the apothecaries. It was obvious that the black box which Mo Fan had produced was very precious to Edith. Mo Fan was a little confused, thinking that Edith was making a fuss. No matter how legendary, it was just a box. But he didn¡¯t know that for an apothecary, this box was a very important item. Princess Celia clearly did not know the significance of this ordinary box. She asked in confusion, ¡°Teacher only told me that the potion formula passed down from the Thor race is very precious. I¡¯ve never heard of any boxes!¡± Edith placed the box carefully on the table. ¡°It¡¯s not surprising that you haven¡¯t heard of it, Your Highness. The Thor people have been lost in the Azure Continent for thousands of years. There isn¡¯t much left to pass down. Even in my family, there aren¡¯t many medical classics and formulas of the Thor race. It was a coincidence that I knew about this item. When I was looking for the formula for the potion, I saw it in an old book. The pamphlet was old, but the page that recorded this box happened to be intact.¡± At this point, Edith couldn¡¯t help but sigh, ¡°I suppose it was fate.¡± Then she asked Mo Fan respectfully, ¡°Where did the Archmage get this box?¡±. Mo Fan was stunned for a moment. He couldn¡¯t possibly say that he was good at playing games and that it was a gift from the system. He pondered for a moment, looking inscrutable. ¡°It seems that we are fated to be together. I obtained it by chance.¡± After that, he added, ¡°It looks okay, so I¡¯m using it to store things.¡± Mo Fan looked at Edith and asked, ¡°Is there a problem?¡± Hearing this, Edith looked at Mo Fan with a tinge of jealousy. Is such a precious box only used to store things? Are Saint Mages so rich? So rich that they¡¯d use rare treasures to store magical materials? Although the magical materials were also very rare, she had never seen a mage storing magical materials in a box that was much more precious than the magical materials themselves. Chapter 32 - The Origin of Magic Chapter 32 The Origin of Magic In the Azure Continent, no magical item could escape the words ¡®origin of magic¡¯, especially the magical materials used to refine magic potions. Apothecaries refined magic potions, and mages refined magical items. These things required magic elements. Some magic materials had magic elements in them to begin with, so the mages just needed to refine them. However, there were still some materials that did not have enough magic elements, or needed to fuse with other magic elements. Many high-level magic potions or magic items required the fusion of multiple magic elements. This allowed them to exert maximum power. Low-level mages didn¡¯t have enough element affinity, and some high-level mages had difficulty operating several magic elements, which led to low success rates for high-level magic potions and magic items. me If a rich mage failed in his refinement, he could always start over. However, most alchemists were not rich because magical materials were expensive. Moreover, when they encountered some peerless treasures, mages did not dare to try them. However, the box left behind by the Thor race could easily allow the magic materials to fuse with other magic elements. When Edith had finished explaining things to Celia, she said, ¡°These days, the formulas for the various magic elemental prescriptions left behind by the Thor people are giving the mages majoring in therapies a headache.¡± Not even the family of apothecaries that emerged, the Karensi Clan, could do anything about them. Edith, who was nurtured by the Karensi family, naturally knew how important this humble box was. ¡°The potion formulas are a top-notch treasure, but I don¡¯t know how to use them. Now that I have this, those potion formulas will come in handy.¡± The sour expression on Edith¡¯s face changed, and the corners of her mouth turned up involuntarily. She¡¯d forgotten that she¡¯d doubted the young, great mage¡¯s strength in the beginning. Her large, shining eyes sparkled. Mo Fan was being watched by these eyes. He was like being stared at by a beast. Seeing this, he coughed calmly and said, ¡°So there¡¯s such a use!¡± It turned out that in the game, he relied on magic to fight the Boss and carry out missions. He didn¡¯t have much to do with potions, so he didn¡¯t know much. The thought of being able to replicate the ancient potion formula excited Edith. She would definitely be the first healing mage in the Azure Continent. She was sure that in the near future, she would be crowned with the title, ¡®Legendary Apothecary¡¯. Princess Celia said excitedly, ¡°Then Teacher will definitely be able to recover! With the magical materials and this box, you will definitely be able to concoct the magic potion.¡± Irigore had been invisible a moment ago. Now he finally remembered what he hadn¡¯t finished. He quickly listened to the princess, Celia, and braced himself. ¡°Your Highness, there are only four materials here. There¡¯s one more important magical material we haven¡¯t got!¡± When Irigore finished, he glanced at the princess with a little shiver. He blamed himself for being so excited that he didn¡¯t say the complete information but just picked the important parts. When the princess, Celia, heard his words, it was as if she had fallen from heaven to hell in an instant. In just a few breaths, her mood had gone several rounds from heaven to hell. Celia¡¯s spirits plummeted at those words, but she looked at Mo Fan hopefully. He met her hopeful gaze and could only shake his head. ¡°There are only four of the five ingredients for conjuring the Magic Potion. There¡¯s still one Dragon¡¯s Breath left. This¡ªI don¡¯t know if the Magical Beast Forest here has it.¡± Mo Fan looked at Edith as he spoke. ¡°Since you have the name of the potion formula, it shouldn¡¯t be difficult getting the ingredients.¡± Edith nodded quickly at that. ¡°Yes, yes. There is a magical beast in the Magical Beast Forest called a Scandimoss dragon. But this demon dragon is very highly ranked. They live deep in the forest of magical beasts. It¡¯s a complicated place. Not many mages can go deep into the forest. When there¡¯s a magical beast tide, the Scandimoss dragons fly out of their pack and come to the edge of the forest. This scale on the tail of this demon dragon contains huge fire elemental magic. One year, such a scale was circulated in the Guild of Magic after the magical beast tide.¡± Celia had heard of the scale. She frowned. ¡°Teacher told me that Weiss, the Great Archmage of the Temple of Light, crafted a magic shield that could withstand an attack from a fire mage below the seventh-level. And now this shield is still placed in the Temple of Light.¡± ¡°But,¡± Celia said miserably, ¡°Teacher can¡¯t wait for the next beast tide!¡± The timing of each magical beast tide was not very accurate. Even if there were signs before each magical beast tide, Skadi would still lose many citizens because of the magical beast tide riots. Therefore, even if the magical beast tide erupted now, it was unlikely that they would definitely be able to obtain the scale of the magic dragon. That was a Scandimoss dragon! The fact that the Temple of Light had returned with that piece of dragon¡¯s scale had caused an uproar across the entire Azure Continent. It wasn¡¯t just because of the preciousness of the scale. It was also because the four Great Archmages the Temple had sent and a dozen or so Holy Warriors had stayed in the Forest of Magical Beasts. The fact that four Great Archmages and a dozen holy warriors almost died in the Magical Beast Forest showed how dangerous the Scandimoss dragons were. Their Skadi magicians did not have the same level of power as the dragons. If they rashly went to the Magical Beast Forest, they would only be taking the path of no return. Celia¡¯s beautiful eyes narrowed at the thought, and she looked as if she was about to cry. She had the formula for the magic-generating potion and four magical materials. She just needed one more material. She was really just one step away, but this step was like a chasm. One still had to take the step. It was only then that Irigore understood. With Skadi¡¯s current strength, getting the Dragon¡¯s Breath would be even more difficult. His happy face slowly turned to dismay. ¡°I didn¡¯t expect to make the princess happy for nothing,¡± he said dejectedly. With some difficulty, Irigore said, ¡°I thought there was only one magical material left. I thought it wouldn¡¯t be difficult. Something that could restore the Royal Preceptor¡¯s magic -¡° His voice died away, and the atmosphere in the room became somber. Celia stared at Klent who lay unconscious on the bed. Her eyes were filled with concern. Chapter 33 - Dragons Breath Chapter 33 Dragon¡¯s Breath At this moment, Mo Fan, who had been silent all this while, said, ¡°Since they exist in your world, it¡¯s not difficult to find one.¡± As soon as Mo Fan said this, everyone turned to look at him. Their eyes were fixed on him, and their burning gazes seemed to penetrate Mo Fan. Mo Fan continued without changing his expression, ¡°What I mean is that the Scandimoss Dragon you mentioned is in the Magical Beast Forest. Let¡¯s go to the Magical Beast Forest to look for it. If we find it and bring the scale back, won¡¯t your Royal Preceptor be saved?¡± Edith, the Alchemist, clicked her tongue inwardly. This mage was indeed too young. She shook her head at Mo Fan and said, ¡°Lord Mage, you may not know how dangerous a magical beast like the Scandimoss Dragon is.¡± She had also heard that the Lord Mage had been summoned from another world by the Imperial Preceptor, who had exhausted his magic at the critical moment. Therefore, this Great Mage might not know much about their world. The Magical Beast Forest was no ordinary danger. Moreover, if they went to the Magical Beast Forest to retrieve the scales of the magical dragon, they would have to go deep into the forest. The Skadi mages, given their current strength, might be torn apart by the ferocious beasts as soon as they entered the forest. The forest really wasn¡¯t that easy to enter. Edith explained to Mo Fan, ¡°Scandimoss Dragons are the highest level magical beasts in the Magical Beast Forest. Their magic is very strong. When they cultivate to a certain level, they can even speak human language. Scandmoss Dragons specialize in fire magic. And they can also perform psychic attacks on mages. At this time, only a mage at the Saint Mage level can defeat such a high level Scandimoss Dragon. So even if we go to the Magical Beast Forest now, it won¡¯t help! Which mage can defeat a Scandimoss Dragon now?¡± Mo Fan raised his eyebrows. There are actually magical beasts that can speak human language? This is a little fun. Mo Fan only wanted to collect magic gems and upgrade the holy artifacts in his backpack. He wasn¡¯t afraid of magical beasts being difficult to deal with. At most, he would equip himself with the holy artifacts while fighting. With the upgrade of his armaments, his combat strength would naturally increase. Mo Fan believed that cultivating magic was the same as playing games. Only by fighting enough could you obtain enough treasures and become more capable. Mo Fan firmly believed that martial strength could only be upgraded in battle. In Mo Fan¡¯s eyes, the Magical Beast Forest was no different from a magical gem warehouse. Once he entered it, he would be able to pick up magical treasures. Mo Fan thought that if he went to the Magical Beast Forest, he might be able to upgrade his magical holy artifacts to the highest level. Then he would become a true Archmage in this world. With that in mind, he turned to Celia. ¡°I could use a trip to the Magical Beast Forest.¡± Several startled voices rose in the room at once. ¡°Lord Mage!¡± ¡°But,¡± ¡°Are you telling the truth?¡± Edith said, ¡°Lord Mage, the Magical Beast Forest is more dangerous than the border of Selwyn where the Allied Forces of Light were crushing on the city!¡± Celia nodded quickly, her large eyes looking at Mo Fan with concern and anticipation. Only the Knight Commander, Irigore, felt a rush of excitement after his initial shock. He trusted the Archmage¡¯s strength. In the fortress of Selwyn, he could feel the pure light aura of the Archmage. The Archmage¡¯s strength might be far greater than what they had seen, or he would not have been so certain about going to the Magical Beast Forest. Mo Fan said gently, ¡°It¡¯s good to give it a try. Maybe it will work?¡± Celia was tempted. Her eyes shifted and she looked at Mo Fan. ¡°Yes, what if the Archmage does manage to return with the scale of the Scandimoss Dragon? Then Teacher will be saved, and so will the entire kingdom of Skadi. Edith, the Apothecarist has only heard of the legendary deeds of the Archmage at the frontier fortress.¡± But the Magical Beast Forest was far more dangerous than the Allied Forces of Light. He was new to the place and didn¡¯t understand how dangerous it was. He would regret it when he reached the Magical Beast Forest. Edith looked at the wooden box on the table and then at the fearless young mage. She thought for a moment and said, ¡°Mage¡ª¡± His eyes met Edith¡¯s. ¡°My name is Mo Fan,¡± he said. Edith nodded. ¡°Mo Fan, do you know how many mages die in the Magical Beast Forest every year? Do you know how many Holy Warriors never returned from Magical Beast Forest? Do you know how many of our Karensi apothecaries went into the Magical Beast Forest and never came back?¡± Even though Edith was one of the best of the Karensi¡¯s generation of young apothecaries, or even the most talented one of the Karensi family in a hundred years, the elders of Karensi family forbade her from entering the Magical Beast Forest. They even forbade her from getting close to the edge of the forest. From a young age, the older apothecaries had told Edith that the most dangerous place on the Azure Continent was the Magical Beast Forest. It was dark and full of magical beasts. Even a Great Archmage could get lost in the forest and be swallowed by thousands of magical beasts, dying miserably. When Edith was very young, a few of the family¡¯s gifted apothecaries lost their lives in the magical beast forest. The Karensi family had never suffered such a terrible loss. That year, the children of Karensi family heard every day of the horrors of the Magical Beast Forest. Edith had nightmares every night for a period of time, dreaming about herself being swallowed by a magical beast. It was only later, when Edith¡¯s father realized that his daughter had nightmares every day, that he used the Seven Star Grass to refine a calming potion for Edith to consume. Only then was Edith rid of the Magical Beast Forest nightmare. But the Magical Beast Forest was a taboo. This notion took root in Edith¡¯s heart. Edith had been traveling around the Azure Continent for a long time, but she only dared to walk around the Skadi Kingdom, which was close to the Magical Beast Forest. She didn¡¯t even have the thought of approaching the Magical Beast Forest. The Magical Beast Forest was so dangerous. On account of the magic box left behind by the Thor race, she felt that it was necessary to advise this young mage who didn¡¯t know his place. ¡°The Magical Beast Forest is more dangerous than you can imagine, Mage!¡± Edith hoped the mage would listen to her advice and value his life. However, Mo Fan only nodded calmly. ¡°I roughly know that it¡¯s dangerous there.¡± Edith nodded. ¡°Don¡¯t push yourself if you know it¡¯s dangerous. You don¡¯t have to pay with your life.¡± Mo Fan continued, ¡°But it shouldn¡¯t be too dangerous for me!¡± Chapter 34 - Temple of the Light Chapter 34 Temple of the Light Edith stared at him in surprise. He sounded so arrogant. She¡¯d never heard a mage speak so arrogantly with no self-awareness. What does he mean? There¡¯s no danger to him? The young mage is new to this world. Surely he doesn¡¯t think the Magical Beast Forest has the same risk factor as an ordinary forest? Edith looked at Celia again. This young man didn¡¯t know the dangers of the Magical Beast Forest, but the Princess of Skadi, who was near the forest, should know how dangerous the forest was, right? But Celia only pondered for a moment before saying quietly to Mo Fan, ¡°Then I¡¯ll leave it to you, Mr. Mage. Thank you for making the trip to the Magical Beast Forest.¡± 10 ¡°I¡¯ll leave Teacher¡¯s potion to you.¡± The Knight Leader, Irigore, looked at Mo Fan expectantly, as if he was certain that Mo Fan would be able to obtain the Dragon¡¯s Breath from the Magical Beast Forest. Mo Fan really wanted to take a trip to the Magical Beast Forest, not only just to gather the magical gems. He was very curious about what the Scandimoss Dragon looked like. Moreover, legend had it that the biggest hobby of the giant dragons was collecting treasures. Perhaps after he defeated the dragon, not only could he obtain the Dragon¡¯s Breath, he could also take over the dragon¡¯s treasure vault? At this moment, Edith looked around and realized that everyone in the room, except for herself, had great confidence that this young mage would obtain the Dragon¡¯s Breath from the Magical Beast Forest. Are these people crazy? These are dragons! The Scandimoss Dragons were the only magical beasts in the Magical Beast Forest whose cubs reached the Saint Realm when they grew up. They were immune to the attack of Fire magic to a certain extent, but their Fire magic attacks had additional attributes. Edith was speechless for a moment, but she didn¡¯t say anything else to object. Suddenly, she turned to Mo Fan. ¡°In that case, I¡¯ll come along. I also want to see how insignificant the Magical Beast Forest is to you.¡± Fatal accidents were not allowed for the next generation of successors nurtured by the Karensi family. As a result, Edith had been taught from an early age that the Magical Beast Forest was a forbidden place and absolutely off-limits. But Mo Fan¡¯s decision to go to the Magical Beast Forest had completely ignited Edith¡¯s curiosity. Mo Fan shrugged nonchalantly. ¡°I happen to need a guide. If you want to follow, you can, of course.¡± Mo Fan felt that it didn¡¯t matter if he brought a girl along. Doesn¡¯t she doubt my strength? Then I will use my absolute strength to show her what a Mage is! ¨C ¨C The main hall of the 12 Temples of Light, the Merle Temple, was located on Holy Mount Kaffa. Huge white divine pillars stood in front of the temple. On them were carved complicated and exquisite statues of gods. The 12 divine pillars were like 12 huge scrolls. The God of Light¡¯s Salvation Diagram was vividly carved on these 12 divine pillars. Outside the temple, there was a vast flat ground paved with white jade. Believers in white robes knelt reverently. Suddenly, a pure aura of light spread out from the temple. Immediately, the magic patterns that covered the entire huge temple rushed into the sky. The golden light that belonged to the prophecy magic array made the countless believers chanting outside the temple raise their eyes. But the next moment, they were blinded by the golden light and had to cover their eyes with their hands. Although there was an array protecting them, the holy light was not something they could look at directly. Slowly, the array disappeared and the golden holy light dimmed in the sky. The worshippers looked up at the disappearing holy light, and their expressions became even more reverent as they fell to their knees in worship. Inside the temple, everyone was devout and solemn! Twelve Archbishops of the Light stood silently and solemnly in the great hall, and before them, on his high throne, sat the most powerful man on the continent, the representative of the God of Light in the world. The Pope of the Temple of Light! Pope Themis always looked calm when he encountered anything, but now he had a tense look on his face, as if he was worried about something. This had never happened in the history of the Temple of Light. In the hearts of all its believers in the continent, no one could fight the God of Light. Any man, any mage, had to bow at the feet of the God of Light. And it wasn¡¯t just the Pope who was worried. The Archbishops looked equally grim and at the same time a little apprehensive. They all turned to Pope Themis on his throne. But none of them opened their mouths. They all tacitly remained silent until red tears of blood fell from the Pope¡¯s eyes. The Archbishop of the Merle Temple, the Great Archmage, Caliph, stepped forward immediately and asked with concern, ¡°Are you well, Your Holiness?¡± The Archbishops beneath the golden throne also cast worried glances at the Pope. They had gathered here today on the orders of the Pope. This was only the third time that the 12 Archbishops of Light had gathered together in the thousand-year history of the Temple of Light. And each time, they had gathered for the same reason. His Holiness, the Pope, was using the Great Prophecy! Chapter 35 - Great Prophecy Chapter 35 Great Prophecy The Pope¡¯s robes were red, as scarlet at the corners of his eyes, and they seemed to complement each other. For a moment he seemed to be back to being the mighty Pope who handled things in a calm and unfazed manner. Nothing would alarm him. But only Archbishop Caluxfa, who knew him well, knew that the Pope was still grave. There seemed to be things which confused him, which could not be solved. The atmosphere was heavy in the solemn temple. If the young believers outside saw this, they would be so shocked that their jaws would drop. The Pope, Archbishops, and Elders, who had always looked at the world with loving kindness, now looked grim. Something serious must have have happened to make these powerhouses look so worried! on Pope Themis had been most favored by the Light God for thousands of years. All believers of the Temple of Light believed that the Pope was the embodiment of the God of Light. His power was unmatched in the world. The aura of light he exuded was the purest. From the day Themis was born, everyone knew that he would be the next great Pope. At that moment, in the quiet sanctuary, Pope Themis looked up at the top of the vault of heaven. A shaft of holy light shone down from the top of the crystal, bathing the entire temple in pure white light. The Merle Temple was the only temple with a bright, holy light. At the top of the temple¡¯s pointed dome, there was a statue of the God of Light looking down at the temple with a benevolent gaze. Anyone who entered the temple could feel the sacred aura of the God of Light. For this reason, the greatest wish of all the believers of the Temple of Light was to be able to enter the Merle Temple and receive the gaze of God. The only time in their lives that the kings of the small western countries entered the Temple was when they were crowned. They would walk barefoot into the Temple and be crowned by the great Pope. This was regarded by the kings as the most glorious thing in their lives. They knelt reverently at the feet of the archbishop and were crowned under the gaze of the God of Light. Not being crowned in the Temple and not receiving the gaze of the God of Light meant that the king would not be recognized by all as having ascended to the throne. Legend had it that Mount Kaffa was the place where the God of Light slept. Everyone who entered the mountain for the first time had to climb the holy mountain on foot. Otherwise, it would be considered disrespectful. The kings of the small western countries even climbed the mountain barefoot to show their respect for the God of Light when they were crowned. All of this was achieved with the efforts of the current Pope. It could be said that this Pope had pushed the prestige of the God of Light to unprecedented heights! This was also why everyone was puzzled and feeling anxious. Under the leadership of such a wise and great Pope, they looked forward to the glory of the God of Light spreading all over the continent. So they wondered why the Pope had to use the Great Prophecy. And three times in a row. Each use of the Great Prophecy consumed a massive amount of light elements. The Temple of Light had painstakingly accumulated them over the past thousand years. They were non-renewable natural resources. After all, no one could think of any other way to obtain the light elements other than praying. ¡°Your Holiness, what exactly did you see in the future?¡± one of the Archbishops couldn¡¯t resist asking The Pope didn¡¯t answer. The blood on his face looked startling in the holy light. At the foot of the throne, a mage in a white robe held a white handkerchief with exquisite golden flowers. He bowed his head and reverently held it out to the Pope with both hands. Themis reached out and took it, wiping the blood from his eyes. ¡°I didn¡¯t see anything.¡± He returned the blood-stained handkerchief to the young mage¡¯s hand. ¡°The Great Prophecy failed.¡± ¡°Failed?¡± There was a gasp, and everyone looked at the Pope, dumbstruck. The Great Prophecy was a magic array that used the power of light that the Temple of Light had accumulated over the years, with the Pope as its core plus the 12 Archbishops of Light. It was obtained by the third Pope who sacrificed his life to the gods. He was the greatest of the Temple of Light¡¯s Popes other than the current pope. The Prophecy had been used twice in all, and this was the third time. The first two Great Prophecies had worked. Using the advantage of seeing the future clearly, the Temple of Light had developed from a small church to the behemoth it was today. However, this time, the greatest Pope and the 12 Archbishops, who were far stronger than before, had failed in their Great Prophecy. It was given by the gods. How could it fail? Everyone was anxious. They did not see the faint determination in the Pope¡¯s compassionate eyes! The pope wasn¡¯t lying. The Great Prophecy had failed just now. But neither the one yesterday nor the one the day before failed. Lately, the Pope had been experiencing a sense of unease emanating from the depths of his soul. At his level, many seemingly nonsensical feelings often represented some kind of truth. This uneasiness terrified him to no end. And it prompted him to summon the 12 Archbishops and perform the Great Prophecy at the expense of the Temple of Light¡¯s accumulation and his own lifespan. In the first Great Prophecy, the Pope saw a very terrifying scene. Only remnants of the 12 great temples remained, and the great statue of the God of Light lay in ruins. On the mainland, the Church of Light had been destroyed, and the believers were driven away like rats. The final scene of the prophecy stopped at the moment the holy light went out. This vision nearly destroyed the Pope¡¯s years of cultivation! In order to figure out what had happened, he went on to launch a second Great Prophecy. The result of the second Great Prophecy, however, was completely different from the first. He saw a glorious Temple of Light, more majestic than the one the Church of Light now possessed, and the aura of the Light was stronger. It made him feel as if the God of Light truly lived in that temple. He saw countless missionaries traveling through cities, deserts, and even the Magical Beast Forest. There was no shortage of orcs, half-elves, and other races. This was especially confusing, because all along, these descendants of the union of humans and other races were viewed by the Temple of Light as the products of depravity, typical of original sin, and creatures that had to be purified. It was the two very different outcomes that confused the Pope who launched the third Great Prophecy. This time, however, he saw nothing! Chapter 36 - News of Victory? Chapter 36 News of Victory? A scene where nothing could be seen disturbed the Pope more than seeing a horrific scene. The Temple of Light had risen and even developed to its current dominant position by relying on its ability to see the future¡ªthe Great Prophecy. Once that advantage was lost, the Temple of Light was likely to fall into unknown danger and eventually sink, like those smaller sects that had died out. He didn¡¯t know what had happened. As far as he knew, the light of the God of Light was everywhere, past, present, and future. And wherever the Light God¡¯s radiance enveloped, it was under the gaze of the Great Prophecy. Yet, the Great Prophecy had failed now! Had the Light God abandoned him, or was the Light God¡¯s radiance blocked by some unknown being? He could only choose to nip all danger in the bud! He gathered himself and asked quietly, ¡°The Allied Army of Light will have reached Skadi¡¯s borders by now, won¡¯t they?¡± One of the archbishops, the Great Archmage Caluxfa replied, ¡°Yes, I believe good news will come soon.¡± All of this continent belonged to the people of the God of Light, and all of them should be subject to the divine radiance of the God of Light. Whatever it took! All the territories of the continent were to be incorporated into the Temple of Light, and he wanted all potential dangers to the Church to be nipped in the bud. If these dangerous fires were put out in time, then it would be safe for the Church. Thebes immediately stepped forward and said, ¡°Your Holiness, the Allied Army of Light reached the borders of the Skadi five days ago. And the allied forces had launched an all-out attack on the fortress.¡± The Pope¡¯s face remained still as he listened to Thebes. Then Archbishop Austin of the Bat Temple glanced at the Pope and said apprehensively, ¡°Could it be¡ªare you worried about the allied forces, Your Holiness?¡± The Pope glanced up at Archbishop Austin¡¯s words. Austin calmed down a little. Then he said firmly, ¡°Your Holiness, they can¡¯t fail! It¡¯s only right for the Allied Army of Light to win this battle.¡± The 12 Archbishops saw the slight pallor on the Pope¡¯s face and realized that their Pope was actually worried about the Allied Army of Light¡¯s expedition to the east. They were all puzzled. The Allied Army of Light had always been a powerful presence. What did they have to fear about the small eastern countries? Even if the Allied Army of Light faced the small eastern countries grouped together, they would be powerless. The Allied Army of Light would not take the slightest effort to crush them. In fact, most of the bishops agreed with Thebes. They should have sent the Allied Army of Light to the east long ago. If they had acted early, the world would have been filled with believers of the God of Light. How could those clowns from the small eastern countries cause trouble? As for those small countries causing the Great Prophecy to fail¡ that was even more impossible! Everyone actually suspected that the Pope had made some mistake in guiding the Great Prophecy. After all, although the Pope didn¡¯t say that he failed the previous two times, he didn¡¯t say anything about the previous prophecies either. Although the speculation was somewhat blasphemous and disrespectful, it seemed to be the only possibility after some thought. After all, which being on this continent could threaten the Temple of Light and even cause the Great Prophecy to fail? Archbishop Caluxfa continued to speak. He said respectfully to Pope Themis, ¡°Your Holiness, for this expedition to the east, Great Archmage Adams is leading four archmages to suppress the border. The number of Archmages across the entire continent are few, and most of them are in the Temple of Light camp. It¡¯s a one-sided slaughter. Let¡¯s not even mention the fact that we¡¯ve sent five Great Archmages this time. Even if Adams alone were to lead the Alliance on an expedition to the east, we will still win.¡± ¡°I even think it¡¯s a waste to send five mages,¡± added Thebes, another Archbishop. Besides, in a small country like Skadi, only the old Royal Preceptor could fight a little. But after all, he was very old. How could he fight the Temple of Light? The Ather archbishops nodded in agreement. When the Eastern Expeditionary Alliance set off, victory was certain. Even if someone casually asked a passer-by, that person would not hesitate to say that the Temple of Light would win. Finally, Archbishop Caluxfa said with finality, ¡°Your Holiness, good news will come back soon.¡± Pope Themis felt a little more at ease. He had to admit, everyone had a point. His eyes suddenly shifted, and he turned to look down Mount Kaffa. ¡°Good news has come, it seems.¡± Pope Themis looked at the door of the Temple with calm eyes. Everyone waited in silence. An army of tens of millions led by five Great Archmages could flatten a huge mountain into a plain. But just when they thought they would see a mage in high spirits and full of joy, they saw a ragged, flustered mage like a wandering poet on the street stumbling into the temple. All the Archbishops in the temple froze. Could this be a beggar mage who¡¯d stumbled into the Temple by mistake? There weren¡¯t many of them. This was the exalted Temple of the God of Light. Any mage who had nothing to do with the Church would be bounced off the 12 sacred pillars at the door. How could anyone break in? Besides, the legions of guards outside weren¡¯t to be trifled with! Merle Temple¡¯s Archbishop Caluxfa, was the first to react. He beckoned to someone to silence the intruder who rushed in and fell to his knees in the great hall. ¡°Your Holiness¡ªthe Allied Army of Lightthe eastern expedition has failed.¡± At those words, the Pope shot to his feet on his throne. A powerful pressure weighed down on Kaia. ¡°What did you say?¡± a serious voice demanded. At this moment, there was another dead silence in the spacious Merle temple. Everyone was stunned by the news. They were incredulous. ¨C The Allied Army of Light had failed in its quest to conquer the East? The Allied Army of Light had marched east, invincible and unstoppable, and no one was worried about it. Everyone in the Temple of Light had seen it as a one-sided slaughter. In any case, the outcome of the Allied Army¡¯s expedition to the East could only be victory. There had been absolutely no surprises, and it was as natural as a thirsty man needing a drink of water. But the sorry state of the Great Archmage before them told everyone in the Temple that the outcome of this expedition was not what everyone had expected-absolute success. Archbishop Caluxfa was the first to lose his footing. He shot to his feet, his body like a destroyed image as he hurried to Kaia¡¯s side. His brow was furrowed as he fixed his cold stare on her. The questions in his heart surged, one after the other. Five Great Archmages, a compound spell with boundless power, tens of millions of soldiers marching east. How could a mere border town turn a Great Archmage into such a sorry state? He asked sharply, ¡°What happened?¡± Chapter 37 - Unbelievable Sacred Flame! Chapter 37 Unbelievable Sacred Flame! Everyone in the temple went pale. The Pope, 12 Bishops, and 12 Elders gasped at Kaia¡¯s words and rose to their feet in shock. Thebes looked like he was about to explode. The battle that was sure to result in victory. How could they lose? ¡°That¡¯s tens of millions of soldiers we¡¯re talking about. Soldiers, knights, mages, and superior armaments, under the command of five Great Archmages. Even if we were to attack the entire combined armies of the East and all the citizens, we¡¯d surely win, let alone attacking a small border city.¡± The army sent out this time was the strongest in the western nations. Even if the soldiers fought one-on-one, it would be enough to crush the enemy. The Skadi Kingdom was a small eastern country. It was only supported by that old man, Royal Preceptor, and the young princess who had yet to reach adulthood. The Allied Army of Light was like a killing machine. Who could stop the attack of the Allied Army of Light? Even if the mages of the Skadi Kingdom refused to accept their fate and risked their lives, they would not be able to withstand them. How could they fail? Inside the church, the 12 Archbishops, 12 Grand Elders, and a high-and-mighty Pope stared sharply at Kaia. Their eyes were filled with disbelief, as if someone were telling them magic didn¡¯t exist in this world. There was a perpetual stillness on their faces. The Pope, the Archbishops, and the Elders, who were absolutely certain of everything, looked as if they¡¯d been through a massive earthquake on this day. This was something that hadn¡¯t happened in centuries. Kaia wished that it was a farce, a false message, or an illusion. She was baffled by that old man in Skadi! But the instant she brushed shoulders with death told her it was all true. They had truly failed. Kaia dropped to her knees, and with her hands on the floor, she shut her eyes tightly and shouted, ¡°Truly, truly, the Light Alliance has failed!¡± The tense, panicked atmosphere in the Temple suddenly froze, and everyone¡¯s hearts went strangely quiet. Suddenly, Kaia felt a gust of wind. The next moment, the Pope¡¯s pale hands gripped her torn robe, and Kaia caught his breath. ¡°How did it fail? Did it encounter violent resistance? It doesn¡¯t matter. Caluxfa¡ª¡± The Pope waved his hand behind him, intending for the Archbishop to lead his men back to the borders of Skadi. This time, they would have to suppress and wipe out the east, one way or another. No matter what the cost! The Archbishops were still reeling, and so was Archbishop Caluxfa. There had never been a nation where one man could defy the Temple of Light. Never! Kaia was shaking her head. With a pained expression, she shook her head, then nodded. In an instant, her expression was one of utter confusion. It was as if she¡¯d suffered a devastating blow she¡¯d never experienced before. Every member of the congregation in the Temple listened to what Kaia had to say next, and it hit them like the sound of a drumbeat pounding on their hearts. ¡°The Allied Army of Light¡ªis gone. All gone. I was the only one of the five Great Archmages to escape. Adams used the last of his power to send me out of range of the magical attack to come back to deliver the message.¡± If the Archbishops had only been shocked to see Kaia flee in such a sorry state, now that they heard her words, they felt as if their souls had been dealt a violent blow. Ever since they were born, since they began to understand things, they¡¯d known that the Temple of Light was an incredibly powerful existence and that no one could resist it. But now someone told them that someone had wiped out the supreme Temple. This was no less than the destruction of heaven and earth. For a moment, the Temple was silent. Not even the sound of breathing existed. The Pope spoke up. ¡°You mean¡ªthe Allied Army of Light was wiped out? By a small country like Skadi?¡± The Pope actually froze. Kaia found it hard to breathe under the Pope¡¯s gaze. She struggled to speak. ¡°Yes, we-¡° Without warning, Kaia was flung to the floor by the Pope, who turned into the wind again and was instantly back on his throne. His eyes were cold as he looked at Kaia. ¡°Tell me. Tell me, word for word, why tens of millions of you and five Great Archmages were rounded up and wiped out at the border of a small country.¡± Kaia scrambled to her feet and dropped to her knees. ¡°We were going so well, and so was the compound spell. We were so close to breaching the border, but that Royal Preceptor of Skadi suddenly summoned a dimension spell. Summoned a mage from another dimension. We don¡¯t know how, but that mage defended against our compound spell and protected the entire border from our large-scale spell.¡± ¡°Impossible!¡± Archbishop Caluxfa stepped forward. ¡°No mage can defend the entire border against your combined great magic,¡± he retorted incredulously. No one in the entire border would survive such a powerful large-scale spell unless the Saint Mage personally descended. Archbishop Caluxfa shook his head at the thought. ¡°No, it can¡¯t be. Not even a Saint Mage can defend an entire city against a powerful compound spell.¡± At this moment, Thebes, the Archbishop of Oedipus, suddenly said, ¡°Unless the Archmage descends¡ª¡±. All the mages in the Temple suddenly stopped and looked at the Archbishop of Thebes. Thebes shook his head violently. ¡°Impossible. Absolutely impossible.¡± Pope Themis turned back to Kaia. ¡°Continue.¡± Kaia said, ¡°Then¡ªthen he cast another spell, and before we knew it, the golden holy flames were on everyone. No one could escape.¡± Pope¡ª¡± Kaia thought back to that scene now, her eyes still filled with endless fear. ¡°That mage has a pure aura of light. He can also summon the Sacred Flame.¡± At this moment, the Archbishops in the Temple weren¡¯t just shocked. This was a Sacred Flame unique to the Temple of Light! The God of Light blessed the world and punished the guilty with holy flames. Holy flames-only the Temple of Light possessed them to punish the heretics. For the first time, the people of the Temple of Light suffered the burning of holy flames. The problem was, it had to be the elements of light that drove the Sacred Flame. And the source of the elements of light came from the God of Light. How could the God of Light¡¯s power have descended on others? Has the God of Light abandoned us, or have we become heretics in his eyes? There was another dead silence before the Pope spoke again. ¡°May we have the head of the tribunal please.¡± Chapter 38 - Magical Beast Forest Chapter 38 Magical Beast Forest The head of the tribunal, Qatar, was a very fervent believer in the God of Light. He believed that the only God in the world was the God of Light, whose light shone on this continent. Everyone in the world had to believe in the God of Light, even newborn humans. Qatar and his followers were the busiest in the entire Church. They were either busy trying the infidels sent to the Church or on their way to try the infidels. The archbishops all had time for afternoon tea in the back garden, but the judge and his band of followers believed that fighting for the God of Light was what made life eternal. Qatar¡¯s unsmiling face was on everyone¡¯s mind now, and they all clamped their mouths shut. No one wanted to mess with a lunatic like Qatar. After all, he was crazy enough to mess with himself. Inside the temple, when the Pope mentioned the head of the Tribunal, all the archbishops and elders shut their mouths, and the look of shock on their faces eased slightly. To be honest, in the Temple of Light, aside from Pope Themis, who had a supreme status, the ones people avoided the most were the head of the Tribunal, Qatar, and his band of followers. That was true even for Archbishop Caluxfa. No one wanted to get into trouble with the fanatics. Especially since this fanatic was extraordinarily powerful. They were dressed in black robes and had sharp auras. They were rare dual-cultivators in the world and could not be described as paladins by ordinary mages. They were very good at mental magic attacks and magical combat aura. Every mage on the continent knew that if they were entangled by the spiritual magic of the Temple of Light, they would either die or lose a layer of skin. After losing this layer of skin, it would be no different from taking a trip to Purgatory. The power of the Tribunal had permeated the entire continent. It was clear that if one person was selected from the Temple of Light to determine the identity of the mage from that other world, it would be Qatar. In the history of the Temple of Light, no one had ever been able to destroy an army of ten million people alone. No matter how coincidental it was, this was a huge crisis for the Temple of Light. It was also possible that it was a huge opportunity! The Pope needed to know more about that mage. He needed to know if Kaia was telling the truth that the other party knew how to use light magic! If he could, then he needed to know more about him. Had he used some despicable trick to steal the power of the God of Light¡ or had he been an emissary of the God of Light to begin with, and only by chance he descended on the wrong side? At this moment, Mo Fan, who was on the mind of all the Archbishops of the Temple of Light, had already set off for the Magical Beast Forest. The five of them were almost at the edge of the forest. Along the way, Irigore introduced Mo Fan to the general situation of the Magical Beast Forest. This made the other two knights feel very uncertain. They were forced to accompany the Archmage to the Magical Beast Forest. They knew how powerful Mage Mo Fan was, but when they heard Mo Fan ask the Knight Commander if the dwarfs knew how to forge iron, they felt very nervous. The handsome mage is extraordinary, much more powerful than ordinary mages and even more powerful than the Royal Preceptor. However, is it possible that such strength is not enough to break into the Magical Beast Forest? Didn¡¯t anyone tell this mage from the Alternate World how dangerous the Magical Beast Forest is? The few of them entered the Magical Beast Forest. They were like young children walking into the mouth of a hungry lion. There was nothing to do but courting death. The two knights looked at each other in tacit understanding and saw worry in each other¡¯s eyes. But they had reached the border of the Magical Beast Forest and there was no retreat. Mo Fan could naturally tell that these people did not believe that he could enter the Magical Beast Forest and escape unscathed. He was not in a hurry to explain. In the face of absolute truth, they would know if he could do it or not! He continued to ask Irigore, ¡°Were beasts and dwarfs actually neighbors? Don¡¯t they fight because of the difference in size?¡± Surprised, Irigore asked, ¡°Why would you think that, Sir Mage? Although they live together on the eastern edge of the Magical Beast Forest, their territorial divisions are perfectly clear. There won¡¯t be any disputes.¡± Mo Fan let out a long ¡®oh¡¯ and nodded as if he understood. Irigore had explained the situation of the Magical Beast Forest to Mo Fan. He now had a general understanding of it. There were not only magical beasts in the Magical Beast Forest. There were also the Cat Ears, the Elves, the Orcs, the Dwarfs, and so on. There was a huge system of species inside. The Cat Ears were a strange race. They were considered a kind of division from the Magical Beasts. Their race was very intelligent and they had separated themselves from the lower-level races like the Magical Beasts. Mo Fan felt a sense of species evolution as he listened to Irigore¡¯s introduction. The various species had the tenacious vitality of magical beasts, but they could also think for themselves. They lived in the depths of the forest of magical beasts, and they were as mysterious as the dragons. The elves were close to the Skadi territory. They were night elves, and they concealed themselves by day and marched by night. They were close to nature, and they were best at making bows and arrows. Then there were the dwarfs, who didn¡¯t know how to forge iron and make artifacts. But they were hard workers, and they had made their place in the forest of magical beasts by virtue of their diligent habits. Orcs, on the other hand, were a mix of magical beasts and humans. Some orcs had ancestral bloodlines. When the ancestral bloodlines awakened, they could break through magical levels or battle auras in a short period of time. It was a race that relied purely on luck. If they were lucky, some orcs could reach great heights quickly. If they were unlucky, no matter how hard they worked, they could not advance. Chapter 39 - I Dont Care About A Mere Saint-Realm Expert! Chapter 39 I Don¡¯t Care About A Mere Saint-Realm Expert! Mo Fan actually laughed at the end. For some reason, Edith, who was at the back of the group, also looked at Mo Fan strangely. Mo Fan saw the confusion on Edith¡¯s face out of the corner of his eye, but he didn¡¯t explain. Instead, he looked down at the herb in her hand. Even though she was only close to the edge of the Beast Forest, there were many precious herbs growing. She picked the precious herbs she had seen in the potion books. This place was indeed the treasure trove that mages and apothecaries yearned for, even if the level of danger was no different from hell. People still flocked to it. As expected, treasures were mostly in dangerous places. Even if they walked around the periphery of the Magical Beast Forest, she believed that she could find many precious herbs. Yes, even now, Edith still did not believe that Mo Fan could lead them into the Magical Beast Forest. Forget the depths of the forest, even entering the first level of the forest is unlikely, she thought. Normally, she wouldn¡¯t enter alone. She couldn¡¯t even get close to the periphery of the Magical Beast Forest. This time, she had to gather enough herbs. As for the Dragon¡¯s Breath, she really didn¡¯t believe that Mo Fan could snatch it back from under the dragon¡¯s mouth. The Dragon¡¯s Breath Grass grew in the nest of a Scandimoss dragon. Dragon¡¯s Breath-speaking of which, it was the saliva of a dragon. The Dragon¡¯s Breath Grass had always been nourished by the dragon and contained the powerful recovery ability of the dragon. Although the way it grew was a little disgusting, she had to admit that the recovery ability of the Dragon¡¯s Breath Grass was simply heaven-defying. There was only magic that wasn¡¯t destroyed thoroughly enough. There was no magic that the Dragon¡¯s Breath Grass couldn¡¯t save. It was just like a holy artifact However, heaven-defying existences had heaven-defying guardians. If apothecaries wanted the Dragon¡¯s Breath, they had to defeat the dragon first. After all, the Dragon¡¯s Breath only grew in the dragon¡¯s nest. Otherwise, how could the Holy Fiend Herb be one of the top 10 unsolved potions in the world? Because no one had confirmed the true use of this herb. Edith looked down at the newly picked herb in her hand. It was a Phantom Herb, one of the main ingredients in hallucinogenic potions. Although it wasn¡¯t a difficult herb to find, it was rare for its medicinal grade to grow so high. After Edith followed the team to the border of the Magical Beast Forest, it was like she was back in her hometown. She picked the herbs happily. Every apothecary had a great dream of using the Magical Beast Forest as their back garden. Inadvertently, Edith and Mo looked at each other. He saw the joy in her eyes that she couldn¡¯t hide and raised an eyebrow. ¡°You like phantom sprouts?¡± It was Edith¡¯s turn to look surprised. ¡°You know them?¡± Mo Fan chuckled. Although he had always majored in magic and had never been exposed to magic potions, as a mage who commanded a game, he knew this. ¡°Phantom Sprout Grass, this level five attribute in your hand has just grown. Although it can be made into a hallucinogenic medicine, I think it¡¯s most suitable to add Phantom Sprout Grass to the Magic Cleansing Potion!¡± Edith looked at the Phantom Bud in her hand. This mage from an Alternate World said that this grass has just grown? A level five Phantom Bud is rare. This mage from another world is really arrogant! In the game, he didn¡¯t even look at this kind of potion that had just grown. So at this moment, Mo Fan couldn¡¯t understand the way Edith was looking at him. He just thought that she was admiring him. Suddenly, Mo Fan produced a withered magic herb from his backpack. He said, ¡°Do you like phantom sprouts? Then I think you should like this too.¡± Edith¡¯s eyes lit up. It was an eighth-level fire mugwort. If hallucinogens could make a mage lose himself in an imaginary world, then fire mugwort was the magic herb that kept a mage awake at all times. Even in the highest-level psychedelic circles in the world, if you took fire mugwort, you wouldn¡¯t fall into an illusion. And she¡¯d never seen an eighth-level mugwort before. Not even in her family¡¯s most prized potion vault. Eadith looked at the potion Mo Fan placed in her hand and thought about it for a moment. ¡°Sir Mage, for the sake of this potion, I feel an obligation to advise you. After all, Scandimoss dragons are really hard to deal with. She treasured the potion and put it away in her magic storage pouch. ¡°You can¡¯t fight a dragon,¡± she said seriously. ¡°You¡¯re a powerful mage. You even have many high-level potions. But did you know that the Scandimoss dragons are the most resilient creatures in this continent? Scandimoss dragons are the highest-ranking beings in this continent. When a dragon matures, it becomes a Saint. Do you know what a Saint is?¡± Edith looked at Mo Fan with her bright eyes. At that moment, her gaze was very sincere. Mo Fan nodded. ¡°Of course I know.¡± After all, he had been in this world for so long, and he knew this bit of common sense. Moreover, he also knew that there was not even a single Saint-Realm mage in this world. Thinking of this, Mo Fan couldn¡¯t help but pause. There isn¡¯t even a single Saint-Realm mage in this world. That¡¯s really weak. I was about to become a god in the game. In the near future, I¡¯ddefinitely be the only Saint-Realm mage in this continent, Mo Fan thought confidently. ¡°There isn¡¯t a single Saint-Realm mage in this continent now, but a dragon is at the Saint Realm once it reaches adulthood. I think you should know the difference, right? There¡¯s a huge gap between them. So, young man, that¡¯s enough. All we have to do is walk around the Magical Beast Forest. Once I¡¯ve picked all the magic herbs, we can go back. It¡¯s not as dangerous as running into a wall and not knowing how to turn back. This world is much more dangerous than your original world.¡± Mo Fan thought that by taking out a high-level magic herb, he could make this beautiful girl understand his strength a little better. He didn¡¯t expect her to persuade him to go back. He shook his head involuntarily. ¡°I guess you¡¯ll have to wait until you see me defeat the dragon to believe I¡¯m actually pretty good. I really don¡¯t care about a mere Saint-Realm expert!¡± Then, without waiting for a reply from Edith, he pointed to the scarlet grass that blew in the wind at the highest point on a hillside. ¡°Look, that looks like the legendary Perception Potion.¡± Although Mo Fan knew that his change of topic was very abrupt, he knew that it would definitely be effective. Chapter 40 - Perception Potion Chapter 40 Perception Potion As expected, her attention was instantly diverted. Of course, she had thought Mo Fan was bragging from the start, and she wouldn¡¯t have taken him seriously no matter how boastful he sounded. Her eyes lit up and she held her breath for a moment when she saw the red herb. When she saw it, the first thought that came to mind was that she had made the right choice coming here. Just this pear blossom alone made her trip to the Magical Beast Forest worth it. The magical beast forest was indeed a magical beast forest. It was an abyss, but it still made people flock to it. Ignoring everything else, Edith quickly ran toward the pear blossom, put on the potion gloves again, and carefully plucked the sixth-level pear blossom. One by one, the three knights came to a halt and watched as the usually steady and proper apothecary flew toward the red flower like a butterfly. The knights had never been proficient in magic, not even in simple dabbling, but they saw how happy she was and probably knew how precious the herb was. It wasn¡¯t until she¡¯d carefully placed the pear blossom in her magic storage bag, where she kept her potions, that she remembered that the alternate world mage had said something about sensing potions. She turned her attention to the young mage. He had a very bland expression on his face, as if what he was seeing was normal and the dangerous forest of magical beasts wasn¡¯t a dangerous place. When she saw a precious herb, she would look happy. The Knight Commander and the other two knights had become very nervous ever since they approached the forest of magical beasts. They kept an eye on their surroundings, afraid that a dangerous magical beast would rush out if they were not careful. The knights¡¯ guardedness was obvious just by looking at them. What is it that makes this young mage walk leisurely through the dangerous forest of magical beasts like he¡¯s walking on the streets? ¨C It doesn¡¯t seem to make sense to use the word ¡®ignorance¡¯ to explain it. Besides, he knew about Perception Potions. Edith pulled her white robe closer around her. Her eyes darted around before she slowly walked toward Mo Fan. She asked casually, ¡°So you also know about the Perception Potion!¡± Every apothecary family had one or two or even dozens of secret potion formulas. These were the most precious treasures of an apothecary family. As the number one apothecary family on this continent, the Karensi family had many potion formulas that had been passed down for generations. They were all very precious potion formulas. However, all these potions had one thing in common, and that was that the raw materials were extremely rare. The formulas for the potions were not in circulation in the continent. Other than the Karensi family, she thought, there could be no one else who knew about the Perception Potion. It was such a precious potion formula, but Mo Fan spoke about it like it was ordinary. He looked very calm and even his voice did not waver. ¡°Is this a rare recipe? It doesn¡¯t seem strange that I know about it.¡± ¡°It¡¯s prepared with pears, moonstones, ponchos, and-gold ore.¡± Mo Fan turned his head casually. He looked at the formula on the transparent panel, then at the materials in his backpack. He nodded and continued, ¡°Yes, these are the ones.¡± Then he added, ¡°It¡¯s not exactly precious material.¡± To Mo Fan, these were indeed not precious materials or formulas. There was a pile of formulas and materials in his backpack that he could use at any time. Previously, he needed to do missions to level up in the game. These things were all rewards that he had unlocked when he did missions. However, at that time, for the sake of the experience and armaments in the mission, he did not care about these mission treasure chests. After opening them, he put them in his backpack and never bothered with them again. He even had treasure chests in his backpack that had not been opened before. Besides, potions could be bought in the game as long as one had money. He only wanted to level up and fight the Boss and did not want to spend time making potions to sell for money. Meanwhile, Edith took a deep breath and asked, ¡°Does the Archmage know what the Perception Potion does?¡± Mo Fan almost couldn¡¯t be bothered to answer such a low-level question. This potion was like an energy bar in the game. In short, it added energy, energy, and energy. Every gamer had dozens of them in their backpacks. After all, they were fighting, and when their magic ran out, they would chew on an energy bar to sustain themselves. If one was not enough, it was common for them to consume 10 of them. But he naturally couldn¡¯t use this plain description with Edith. He weighed his words before answering her. ¡°A Perception Potion can enhance the perception of magical elements for a certain period of time. It can effectively avoid danger, and at the same time, the power of magic can be synchronized. It¡¯s a very basic potion. A mage should be a mage that everyone needs!¡± Edith could have laughed at that. ¡°One for each hand and a necessary presence?¡± What kind of speech is that? Mo Fan turned to look at Edith¡¯s expression. He raised an eyebrow. ¡°What? Am I wrong?¡± That shouldn¡¯t be the case. One of the most common scenes in the game where he fought the Boss was when he ran out of magic energy. He would take out a Perception Drug and start drinking it. When he had enough magic energy, he started fighting the Boss again. However, Mo Fan¡¯s magic was powerful enough, so he didn¡¯t need the potion. He still had a lot of them in his backpack. Every time he opened a treasure chest, he considered it a basic item. The probability of its value falling was very high. Sometimes he did not get the armament he wanted after completing a mission. Instead, he would get a pile of Perception Potions. Every time this happened, Mo Fan would despise this thing. It was useless and even took up space. Hearing Mo Fan¡¯s words, Edith¡¯s expression was indescribable. For a moment, she couldn¡¯t tell if she was jealous or angry. ¡°Absolutely wrong,¡± she said. ¡°Apart from the fact that the pear blossoms are the right material for the Perception Potion, everything else is wrong. You can¡¯t imagine how precious a Perception Potion is. Where¡¯s the common stuff you¡¯re talking about? Do you know how many people would fight over a Perception Potion like that if it was circulated in the Guild of Magic? This was something that could not be bought with real money. Besides, its greatest role is not to amplify magic, but to help people awaken it.¡±
