Chapter 42: Promotion


    [Sandra: Haha! Thanks for calling me. I haven''t felt lonely, but I miss our dungeon rides.]


    [Michu: Oh! The dungeon is always fun! I have a quest to find a monkey and I heard there are strong monkeys in this world, so we can go together! Do you want to join me?]


    [Sandra: It sounds like it would be just two of us.]


    [Michu: Ah, I heard Venomous'' subss quests will take some time. I don''t know about yours, though.]


    [Sandra: It''s nearly done. I went for Tactician Subss, so you will see a lot of new and fun stuff soon! Good luck with your banana farm, Michu!]


    [Michu: Hehe! Thanks! I will see you soon!]


    The conversation happened just after Michu had arrived in the game world. Surprisingly, Sandra was already here, but he quickly learned that she pulled an all-nighter. A talk with him awakened her and filled her with excitement, so the witch aimed for some 24/7 gaming! Once in a while, it felt like a normal case for young yers to just go for it.


    The monke also became closer with the ck magic. Though Sandra''s yer nickname was really long, he found out that he could give her a nickname and so he shortened the chat and called her Sandra here.


    Now, the chat looked better and he trod toward his banana farm withcency. Michu also felt good as he just invited his friend for one of his quests that they would do together. In real life, he was so limited, but the game world seemed to bend its rules to help him!


    Michu just felt great!


    On his banana farm, Michu greeted every soldier. He then squatted before the first banana seed that had been nted a long time ago. In thisnd, those couldn''t grow. However, Michu and the soldiers wanted to try luck before Michu became a farmer.


    Now that he had all those abilities, Michu began to dig around first. The soldiers helped him, their hands holding the shovels tightly.


    With the gathered soil in the buckets, Michu sank his hands within those. His hands oozed out the ability called Rare Soil that was unique for every farmer. He continued to knead the soil, then added Nourishing Water next.


    In this mud-likeposition, Michu continued to pour down his abilities for around ten minutes. His mana depleted by 1/3 and he looked toiled already. However, the brimming smile on his face said otherwise.


    Michu drank a potion, threw the dirty tube back to his inventory, then went to another bucket. He prepared the soil in each bucket, then soldiers again helped him to spread it across his territory.


    The banana seeds found a new home! They instantly sprouted, but it was far from what Michu wanted! "I have a lot of water from Daria''s farm! Today, we will see banana herbs towering around us like skyscrapers!"


    "Hehe! Skyscrapers? The hell is that?" The soldiers spoke between each other, but all cheered on the monke''s dream. Whenever he needed the support, the soldiers woulde closer and fulfill Michu''s requests diligently.


    The first banana herb soon popped out with its maturity, "Ohhhh!" The soldiers eximed while pping. It was not the first time they saw the banana herb or any other farmable seed growing up like that as the world was filled with magic and it was their everyday life.


    However, the one who achieved it was the monke! All soldiers wore relieved and satisfied smiles, excited for him!


    "Next!" Michu didn''t stop! He had seeds, he had water from Daria''s farm, but his anticipation was the main thing that pulled him around the banana farm.


    [Banana seeds have been nted within your territory.] A message appeared out of the ck magic system, then Michu''s minimap shed with a white hue. This hue turned out into ''Banana Farm'' and proudly floated next to his eyes.


    "Oh, okay." Michu nodded and continued his work. Additional messages appeared after, stating that Michu''s hard work and his Banana Master ss did wonders already. A grin spread on his face, then he continued to jump around.


    A few hourster, Michu''s banana farm had such stats.


    [Michu''s Banana Farm - 25 banana herbs had been nted. They have grown up and reached the ready-to-harvest state due to the monkey god''s inheritor''s skills!]


    [340 bananas are waiting for you to harvest them!]


    "Haha! Let''s do it!" Michu pulled up his sleeves, clenched his staff, then prepared to p the first banana herb with his harvest ability. However, the loud and overjoyed voice pped him from behind instead.


    It was Lord Fabian, the lord of this Mountain Cliff City! "Michu! Michu! I heard about your heroic tales and I couldn''t wait to see you!"


    "Heroic tales?" Michu turned heels and wondered with a hand caressing his chin, "What heroic tales?" His eyes looked over Lord Fabian while he strutted his way toward him. He used to be quite fat, but it seemed like those fat folds faded away alongside his stress.


    His mine was visited more frequently and business bloomed like never before! The exnation for it was simple; the yers assumed that mine had a lot of valuable ores within, conjured by theck of interest from miners. The hunting monster was no longer here, so they lunged themselves in.


    The entrance fee, pickaxes, and all other stuff required for mining were sold like hotcakes!


    "Of course, your heroic tale of killing that Rhino has been spread through our city already!" No one wanted to lend help, even the royalties that Lord Fabian had been paying taxes to! With so many excuses weighing his heart, Lord Fabian believed that it was time to shift his business somewhere else! But now the mine he used to explore as a kid still could be used as his main business! He was just too overjoyed.

    "Now, it goes all the way to the cliff, so that you can look over the beautiful sea and moon with Miss Venomous!" Lord Fabian patted Michu''s back and blessed him with some money too.


    Michu''s title, peasant, also got upgraded, but it was a change that Lord Fabian never would have expected.


    It was also hidden from him.

    Michu''s eyes stretched and he found himself lost in this. It sounded epic and as if he became divine out of a sudden!


    Though he would love to ask Yumi for help, Nana should be the one to look over it! Nheless, the time and Lord Fabian''s happiness didn''t allow him to unveil this sudden promotion and Michu got forced to attend the party!


    "Michu! You became more popr, so we have to expect more visitors to your farm. You should hide your yer tag." This would reveal itself if someone had malicious intentions, but yers and even residents would think twice. You would never know; the yer you wanted to kill might appear to be the resident, even the mysterious one that hides his presence! That would instantly kill any special route and quests; such a bummer!


    "Oh, give me a second!" Because the system was ck magic, Michu ended up spending more than ten minutes just on this small task.


    He then said, "I promised we all would eat the bananas from my farm! Thanks for all your hard work! Let''s eat, everyone! Hehe!" The first promise was fulfilled and everyone enjoyed the banana including Lord Fabian.
