Chapter 2386: Chapter 2386: Fallen Into a Trap

"Scout ahead! Move quickly, or I’ll blow your brains out if youg behind!"
The burly man drove a group forward to prevent anyone from ambushing them.
The passage in the tomb was particrly dark; this section had no eternal mes, given it was the entrance.
It could hardly be considered a dirt path.
It wasn’t within the Nine Provinces’ tomb range.
Another hundred meters or so ahead was the true entrance to the Nine Provinces’ tomb.
There were eternal mes there, unaffected by wind or rain.
But the door to the chamber was shut.
Because Julius Reed was trapped inside.
That hundred meters felt extremely long.
Thankfully, nothing unexpected happened; anxiously yet safely, they finally arrived in front of the tomb chamber’s door.
Standing before the door, Dragon Dance felt a bit troubled.
Should they go in? Although Julius Reed was not in the adjacent passage, he was just beyond the door.
"There are no signs of the door being opened. How did that person get in?"
Dragon Dance didn’t act recklessly but stood before the stone door to observe.
She had left a mark before leaving; if anyone touched it, it’d be visible at a nce.
"Turn on the lights."
As Dragon Dance’s words fell, someone behind her took out a shlight.
They hadn’t dared to use it earlier, fearing they’d reveal their position.
If someone was lurking in the dark, they’d be easy targets once light shone.
Now, having reached the stone door, they had nothing to worry about.
The light shone, but the stone door didn’t budge an inch.
"Check the position again," Dragon Dance instructed.
"It’s right here." The burly man held out a tablet, showing Dragon Dance the small red dot right on top of it, "Empress, he’s just on the other side of the wall."
"Something’s off." Dragon Dance, looking at the person on the tablet, appeared tense.
There were only two paths to get there.
Either walk from their current spot.
Or walk from where Julius Reed was trapped.
Strictly speaking, the real entrance was where they were standing now.
But the stone door wasn’t open, yet there was someone inside.
Even Dragon Dance was a bit hesitant.
"By timing it, Julius Reed should already be dead," the burly man spoke, "How about we open the door and take a look?"
"No rush yet." Dragon Dance, resting her chin, seemed unsure.
It was too bizarre.
"Forget it, let’s head back and observe for a few days." She dared not take a reckless gamble, deciding to retreat and remain stationary.
As long as someone was in the chamber, guarding the entrance should be fine.
Everything that happened today, starting from Windy Johnson’s pursuit of Jayceon Rose, felt eerie.
Very unusual.
Dragon Dance always felt as if there was an invisible hand guiding them.
Leading them step by step into a trap.
Dragon Dance, capable of contending with Silvio Reed, was naturally no fool.
Her people were now gradually gathering, some going to recruit Trent Marsh’s men, and she didn’t have many usable people under hermand.
So waiting was the best choice.
Once Dragon Dance fully consolidated her forces, what was there to fear?
"This is bad!" The burly man’s startled shout made everyone’s hearts race.
"All our brothers standing guard outside are gone!" He pointed at the screen, his voice altered in shock.
This meant that as soon as they entered, someone above took action.
Their retreat was cut off.
"What do we do?" Panic began to set in among some of them.
Within the grave chamber’s serious and eerie atmosphere, they were very scared; their earlier bravado and arrogance gradually dissipated.
"It’s okay." Dragon Dance lightly chuckled, "I was nning to go up there, but now with this development, I’ve changed my mind."
"Empress, what do you mean?" the burly man was a bit puzzled.
Not only him, but the others also didn’t understand.
Now that the people outside had been dealt with, doesn’t that suggest that the person below is a trap?
If they continued to go in, the danger might be greater.
In contrast, outside, as long as they charged out, there shouldn’t be any issues.
These people were all experts; even if Trent Marsh came out, it wouldn’t matter.
"Once I open the door, no matter what’s inside, rush and kill everything in sight!" Dragon Dance ced her hand on a golden dragon’s orb.
The people behind her quickly drew out throwing knives, and some raised guns.
Although a martial artist is invincible in closebat and disdains cold weapons, right now, they didn’t want to risk themselves, so ranged weapons became the best option.
ck!
Dragon Dance pressed the orb.
The stone door slowly opened.
"Fire!" The burly man wielded a machine gun and fired wildly inside.
Those throwing knives and arrows shot in all at once.
"Stop!" Confirming no movement inside, Dragon Dance raised her hand.
In an instant, bright light shone inside.
It was very bright inside!
"Stranger, Brave Guy, and Little Gold. What are they doing here!"
The burly man widened his eyes, as if he’d seen a ghost.
There was no Windy Johnson inside.
Only the people they left above.
Those few sat inside, nearly turned into sieves.
Brave Guy had thirty-seven throwing knives stuck in his head, his chest beaten so badly even the bones fragmented.
The firepower just now was clearly ferocious!
The passage wasn’t wide, and under such dense firepower, survival was impossible.
"Something’s off!" Dragon Dance looked up; the grave chamber was full of stone, with no other passageways at all.
How did those people bypass them and get sent here?
"Who exactly is our opponent?" the burly man quietly asked.
He felt fear creeping in.
"Whoever it is, if they don’t dare show themselves directly, they’re not our match." Dragon Dance stayed calm.
Suddenly, she looked up, bending to look at the top of the channel.
"Watch out!"
Swish!
In an instant!
Poisoned darts scattered!
With a flick of her sleeve, Dragon Dance swept the darts aside.
But some around her couldn’t dodge in time, instantly fell poisoned and died on the spot.
"Retreat!" Dragon Dance shrugged off her garments, letting them fall as a barrier in front of her!
Finally, the poisoned darts dispersed.
"Open the door! Even if Julius Reed is inside, I will kill him!" Dragon Dance was uncharacteristically angry.
Up to now, she had been yed like a fool.
ck!
The door slowly opened.
A person was seated inside.
It wasn’t Julius Reed.
But indeed, there were traces of a battle around.
Skeletons were strewn everywhere.
"Zero?" Dragon Dance squinted, staring at the unconscious Zero inside, feeling quite surprised.
Someone immediately raised their weapon, ready to fire, but Dragon Dance swiftly stopped them.
"Don’t shoot! You, check what’s going on with him." Dragon Dance pointed at Windy Johnson, "Regardless of life or death, bring him to me."
"Yes!" The burly man, not hesitating, led his people inside quickly.
"He’s alive but unconscious." He ced his hand on Windy Johnson, carefully checking.
Gradually, everyone else entered.
"How did this happen! Where’s Julius Reed?" Dragon Dance, looking at the scattered skeletons on the ground, frowned deeply.
Could it be that even these people’s things couldn’t deal with Julius Reed?
