Chapter 2269: Slash

Chapter 2269: Chapter 2269: sh

The feeling of feet firmly on the ground is very reassuring.

Julius Reed felt as if it had been ages since his feetst touched the earth.

Though only a matter of minutes, up in the sky it felt like an eternity.

When the reassuring sensation beneath his feet returned, Julius Reed felt like everything was back!

He gripped the Longsword and fiercely thrust it forward!

    It was different from before!

Now, on the Yin-Yang Sword, one side zed with the Red Rat’s mes, while the other was bitterly cold!

The vapor in the air began transforming into frost, clinging to the other half of the sword!

    ng!

The Longsword struck the beggar’s chest but still did not pierce through!

Yet, Julius Reed stepped forward, inch by inch.

The furious beggar was forced backward!

Even if he tried to resist, the ground beneath his feet was forcibly gouged out into a deep trench!

    Boom!

He grasped the sword, attempting to push it away.

But the scorching heat made him instantly let go!

Whether the beggar was human, Julius Reed didn’t know, but he had a feeling!

When the scorching iron sword touched the beggar’s hand, it sizzled.

    This indicated he could feel.

When burned, the beggar’s nerves tensed, his attention diverted, as Julius Reed pushed him back over a dozen meters!

    "Roar!"

This time, the beggar roared like a beast!

Though his hands were apprehensive, they still reached out!

    This time, he chose below.

The frost nearly froze the beggar solid.

He finally realized the terrifying nature of his opponent.

Resolute, the beggar began to retreat!

He leaned back, reaching out with sharp ws, trying to tear open Julius Reed’s chest!

    And extract his vital organs!

    Yet he was disappointed.

As Julius Reed passed through, the Nine Heavens Thorn shot forth!

Nine flying knives pinned the beggar!

    Sparks flew!

Although they did not harm the beggar, the sharp Nine Heavens Thorn still struck back the beggar, dying his strike by a second.

"Damn creature, no matter what you are, now die for me!"

Julius Reed let himself be filled with Evil Qi and divine blood as he wielded the Longsword, mercilessly mming it onto the beggar!

    Boom!

On the Yin-Yang Sword, holy mes unexpectedly ignited!

This was the power of the Red Rat!

And the wind power of the Green Snake!

The fusion of wind and fire made the mes burn even fiercer!

The zing mes enveloped the Yin-Yang Sword, crashing onto the beggar, scattering sparks!

Even though the beggar was impervious to sword and spears, his body as strong as iron, ck marks were still left behind!

    "Trouble me? Come on!"

    Boom!

    Julius Reed delivered another strike!

Raging mes continuously burned on the sword!

This fierce strike directly sent the beggar flying, flipping onto the ground.

    "Roar!"

The beggar, like a wolf,y on the ground, roaring in anger.

His two different eyes began to move slowly!

    The beggar’s face twisted!

    His eyes began to converge!

Forming an eight trigram pattern on his forehead!

    Yin-Yang!

The same as the eight trigram on the hilt of Julius Reed’s Yin-Yang Sword.

The beggar roared and darted out rapidly!

    As quick as lightning!

But Julius Reed did not dodge!

Instead, he gathered the power of divine blood and fiercely struck forward!

I remain unmovable, no matter how fast you are!

    Boom!

    A muffled sound.

The beggar, shocked, fell to the ground, his body convulsing.

And bloodthirsty Julius Reed leaped into the air, gripping the sword with both hands!

The zing mes cut through the sky, leaving the sound of roaring wind!

Like a ming dragon, it mmed onto the beggar!

"Roar!" The beggar crossed his arms in front, trying to block!

    Boom!

But the immense power drove him deep into the ground!

The ground formed a pit three to four meters deep!

The beggar crawled out of the pit, and the Yin-Yang eight trigram on his forehead started to spin!

    One ck and one red!

The two colors spun faster and faster!

    Boom!

A dazzling light exploded from the beggar’s forehead!

    Julius Reed did not dodge!

Once the Evil Qi entered, dodging was not an option!

    There was only moving forward!

    And ughter!

    sh!

The fire dragon burst out, as the Longsword and the light shed fiercely, halting in midair.

Julius Reed opened the pocket watch and pressed the button.

    Time swiftly reversed.

He returned to a minute ago!

To the scene of the fierce duel with the beggar!

Julius Reed was no longer Julius Reed; under the Evil Qi, he wasn’t himself.

Two different Julius Reeds appeared in the same environment.

Wielding the Longsword, he unleashed immense power, driving it brutally into the beggar’s eyes!

In the frozen time, the beggar seemed to move, yet not move.

    But none of it mattered.

    The beggar’s eyes were blinded!

    ck gas continuously surged out!

When Julius Reed withdrew the Longsword, the beggar’s head began to burn.

    The mes roared fiercely!

    Like a torch.

    Whoosh!

A force pulled Julius Reed back into reality.

The beggar knelt on the ground, painfully clutching the eight trigram on his forehead!

"Sss..." The Evil Qi in Julius Reed slowly dissipated, and as he gripped the sword with both hands, gradually his shadow began to appear.

    And the god-like shadow disappeared.

    But at the same time!

The sword was without a shadow.

The god-like shadow had transferred to the sword.

Julius Reed, holding the sword, step by step, approached the beggar.

    He raised it high!

    The mes burned fiercely!

    The whirlwind rose violently!

In the air, the dragon and snake wailed, wanting to fly over, but stillcked the courage.

It was severely wounded by the god’s eye and had not recovered till now.

A newly emerged little dragon snake was ultimately not strong enough in spirit!

    "No!"

The beggar suddenly raised his head, but the voice did note from his mouth.

This beggar couldn’t speak, he merely resembled a person.

Yet the twisted features indicated he wasn’t human.

"Goodbye." Julius Reed mercilessly shed down!

    Squish!

The god-like shadow, like slicing vegetables, severed the beggar’s head.

    No blood.

    No bone, no flesh.

    The beggar dissipated.

As the wind blew, he dispersed into dust.

The dragon and snake let out a mournful cry, vanishing swiftly into the air.

Only then did the god’s eye begin to pulse.

It slowly opened, disying a line of text.

"After god, you are the greatest person. Thank you, but I still will seek the true god."

"Letting it escape, toy hidden and unchecked, is a perpetual future threat. Once grown, the dragon and snake cannot be subdued by anyone. Except, by god."

Lines of text appeared from the god’s eye.

"Thank you," Julius Reed chuckled. "At least today, during the most crucial moments, you helped me. Now answer me one question, what was that beggar just now?"

This beggar, Julius Reed was now certain.

    Not human.

Yet, if not human, why could it resemble one?

Even grow wings on its back!

"Noment. But I advise you, leave soon, or feign death once. Feigning death once has a chance of evading their pursuit. But only a chance."

The god’s eye said no more.

It seemed wary of that sort of entity.

"Fine, I’ll wait here for them," Julius Reed watched the distant spot where the dragon and snake vanished.

"Living is the only future. I admire you and don’t wish for your death. But that thing will not harm me. Whether you live or die, it remains the same for me."

After disying the text, the god’s eye suddenly opened wide!

    In the distance!

Dozens of such beggars were walking towards this ce!
