Chapter 2228: Chapter 2228: Power of the Demon God

Cassius Reed didn’t even have time to criticize theck of martial virtues before he hurriedly swung his sword to face the enemy.
"You brat, overestimating yourself!"
He flicked his longsword, and the de began to rotate eerily!
This was a rotating weapon, pletely different from an ordinary sword.
Hawthorne’s arm, unbeknownst to anyone, suddenly had two steel tes appear.
ng!
The sword de rammed into the steel tes, tearing Hawthorne’s clothes and sparking flecks of fire.
Crack!
Hawthorne’s hand suddenly extended a steel glove from his wrist, enclosing his palm like Iron Man.
With a reverse grip, he caught the longsword in his hand.
The collision caused by the rotating de made Hawthorne’s steel glove heat up dramatically, turning almost red.
Yet Hawthorne seemed impervious to the burning, his strength growing ever more fierce.
The speed of the rotating de began to slow down.
"Who are you!" Cassius Reed demanded with a grim face, yanking himself back fiercely.
The sword de red as it was pulled out from the glove.
His inquiry was met with no answer.
Instead, what greeted him was Hawthorne’s relentless assault!
One punch after another!
With his steel fists bolstered by immense power, Hawthorne smashed the carbon steel sword in Cassius’s hand, breaking it into pieces with thirteen consecutive punches!
"Old man, your skills arecking a bit if you think you can snatch something away like this. Aren’t you insulting us?" Julius Reed remarked teasingly from the side.
Having interacted with Felix Reed and Atticus Reed, Julius supposed their master wasn’t up to much either.
"If you have a death wish, then don’t me an old man like me!"
Cassius Reed’s face flushed red, his eyes zing with anger!
He hade out with two objectives: to reim his pride and to retrieve the watch.
Aplishing these two tasks, he would receive the power granted by the Demon God.
Unlike now, where the Demon God’s power could only be used briefly at critical moments.
Boom!
A loud explosion!
The flying snow was sted apart.
Every garment on Cassius Reed’s body was shredded, with crimson veins appearing on his skin.
He possessed the blood of the Demon God.
This blood could temporarily grant him immense power!
"Sworde!"
Cassius Reed roared, and the flying snow quickly coalesced into a snow-white sword in his hand.
Yet as soon as the sword formed, it began to redden.
Then it turned ck.
Bing the ck Sword.
The ck Sword emitted smoke.
Faintly.
Cassius Reed closed his eyes, and when he opened them again, they were already ck.
He charged forward, aiming a sh at Hawthorne’s waist!
This sword strike ignited the air with sparks!
Its speed was rapid, its power immense!
"Ah!"
Hawthorne roared angrily, his fists collided!
Bam!
He staggered back dozens of steps, with a trickle of blood spilling from the corner of his mouth.
The true king of Demarco Mount’s Military Department was definitely not a role for the weak.
Hawthorne wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, his eyes filled with an even stronger fighting spirit!
But before he could make a move, he was stopped by Julius Reed.
The reason was simple; the old man was too sinister.
In Julius Reed’s perception of this sword strike, he actually felt the Sword Dao of the Imperial Master.
The Sword Dao is something only a handful can master independently.
The Imperial Master is undoubtedly considered a Zane Percival in swordsmanship.
Once acimed as one of the three greats of ancient Sword Dao.
The fact that Cassius Reed’s swordsmanship carried the essence of the Imperial Master was strange enough, coupled with his sudden transformation, his body was veined in darkness, and his power was more than five times stronger than before!
If Hawthorne continued to fight, it could be perilous.
Julius Reed reached out, adjusting something at his chest.
The murderous aura around Hawthorne dissipated instantly, leaving only a curious gleam in his eyes.
"Boss, this guy’s pretty fierce." He wiped his blood and spoke.
"Who dares to speak of fierceness in front of me?" Julius Reed patted Hawthorne’s shoulder and walked slowly toward Cassius Reed.
"Young ones don’t know their limits; today, I’ll teach you a lesson. Show you what respecting elders and caring for the younger generation means! What martial arts truly are."
Cassius Reed slightly twisted his wrist, extending his longsword forward.
A thin, invisible ck line instantly shot out from the tip of the sword.
The ck line started small, growing increasingly fierce as it progressed!
At one meter, it was already a vast ck curtain over Star City.
At two meters, it became towering waves!
At three meters, it blocked out the sky!
In an instant, the moonlight vanished.
Seemingly cut off entirely by this ck mist, even the snowy ground beneath was indistinct.
Pitch ck, where even your fingers couldn’t be seen.
The only sensation was the overwhelming killing intent and the surging energy!
This energy was colossal, every martial artist within felt as though they were being torn apart!
Shadow Kims pushed Hawthorne behind him, frowning as he looked ahead.
Strange!
This power could only be described as strange.
It was by no means a martial arts ability.
"What on earth is this?" he asked.
"Not sure, very sinister. Honestly, I have no recollection." Julius Reed closed his eyes, tuned into the surroundings.
In his world, those ck smokes were not mere ck smoke.
They were lost souls!
Souls charging out like mad, wanting to tear apart everyone in front of them.
Just as the ck smoke was almost upon Julius Reed, ready to rip him to shreds!
He opened his eyes!
One eye ck, the other red.
Like a yin-yang diagram.
The red eye wielded Red Rat’s ability, spewing mes!
The ck eye wielded Netherfire!
The mes tore through the ck mist.
In the air came wails of anguish!
Those sounds were so mournful, prating deep into one’s heart.
"Cover your ears!" Shadow Kims immediately blocked his ears with golden plugs and swiftly reached out to cover Hawthorne’s.
But even so, Hawthorne, mighty in strength, still spewed blood from his nostrils.
Gasping for breath.
Fortunately, those wailing soundssted only briefly before fading away.
Julius Reed stepped forward, his right hand sweeping out!
The gesture was light and unforced.
But the ck mist was torn asunder in an instant.
The moonlight shone through once more.
"Nefarious ways," Julius Reed lifted his eyelids, gazing coldly at Cassius Reed, "Being a martial artist without reverence for heaven and earth, without reverence for one’s own heart, without reverence for martial arts itself, you don’t deserve to call yourself a martial artist."
"You... actually broke my sword?" Cassius Reed was startled at the sight of Julius Reed walking out unscathed.
He had used this sword technique three times, each capable of vanquishing formidable enemies.
Never before had he faced such a fruitless oue.
"You don’t deserve to wield a sword." Julius Reed stepped forward, confronting Cassius Reed.
He raised his hand, grasping the ck sword.
He squeezed forcefully.
Crack!
The sword de shattered with a crunch!
Turning to droplets of ck liquid, it dripped onto the ground.
"The scent of blood, the number of lives taken, the sinsmitted," Julius Reed shook his head.
"That... is the Netherfire? Netherfire ims more lives, right?" Cassius Reedughed wildly, the veins on his body thickening!
"You dare to judge me?" Julius Reed’s right fist thundered out!
Bam!
Cassius Reed flew back dozens of meters, hitting the snow hard.
He struggled to rise, even his face had turned ck.
"You’re dead!"
Cassius Reed roared, plunging both hands fiercely into the snow before him!
